Enjoying a night on the red carpet, Carmen Electra attended the premiere of “Oy Vey My Son is Gay” in Los Angeles, California on Thursday night (October 22).
The Playboy beauty looked stunning as she mingled with fellow attendees including John Lloyd Young, Jai Rodriguez, Lainie Kazan, Bruce Vilanch and Alexandra Mamaliger.
Aside from spending evening’s on the red carpet, Carmen recently took the stage in Las Vegas for Crazy Horse Paris.
Of the steamy show and the nudity involved, she told press: “I’m much more comfortable and at ease this second time. It’s such an honor to dance with these classically trained ballerinas. The nudity is really beautiful and sensuous. I kiss the hands of each and every one of the dancers each night after a show to say a sincere thank you for letting me dance with them. They are the nicest girls. They’ve welcomed me as one of their own, so I feel very privileged to be onstage with them. It’s completely normal to dance freely because they do the same thing I do.”

According to Perez Hilton, the “Sk8ter Boi” singer was spotted earlier this week, house hunting in Beverly Hills and Hollywood Hills with oil heir, Brandon Davis.
A source revealed, “She and Brandon aren’t sure where the romance is headed. But Brandon has never lived with a woman before, so it’s a big commitment on his part.”
Lavigne, 25, cited irreconcilable differences to end her three-year marriage.

Getting a jumpstart to her day, Rachel Bilson was spotted this morning (October 23) grabbing a coffee and a pastry from Coffee Bean in Los Angeles, CA.
As always, the “Last Kiss” actress was stylin’ in black skinny jeans and flats with a white t-shirt, beige cardigan, studded purse and black shades.
In other news, Ms Bilson has graciously shared some of her fashion tips, saying that she picks up different looks from her friends and peers and looks up to fellow actresses, Sienna Miller, Ashley Olsen and Diane Kruger.
The 28-year-old former OC star has her own clothing line called Edie Rose, that launched last year with Donna Karan’s DKNY Jeans.

Rings. Classic dialogue. Including such memorable romantic proposal lines as, ?Are you sure you want to do this??
Mary-Kate Olsen and her artist beau, Nate Lowman, have been talking marriage for a while. Yet when he actually popped the question during the couple’s early October visit to Paris, the moment was sweeter than she could have imagined - and Star has all the details!
The setting was the restaurant at the Hotel Le Bristol, where the two were enjoying a four-course gourmet dinner. “At the end of the meal, Nate gave her a truffle box - she loves truffles, so she went to try one right away,” says a pal. “But inside, she found a little jewelry box instead. When she opened it, there was a beautiful diamond engagement ring!”
Mary-Kate’s reaction? “Nate’s this grungy, cool artist type, so she was shocked, but in a good way, by what was happening. Then he smiled and asked her to marry him and added, ‘Are you sure you want to do this?’ Mary-Kate said, ‘You know I want to do this!’”
After excitedly telling her best pals and sister Ashley - “She thinks Nate’s perfect for Mary-Kate,” says the friend - the megabcks babe, 23, has leapt into planning the wedding. “Their entire time in Paris was so romantic for both of them, and Mary-Kate was absolutely swept off her feet by Nate’s proposal. So basically Nate said, ?Will you marry me?? then followed it up with ?Are you sure you want to do this?? How romantic. Isn?t that what you say when you?re getting married for the wrong reasons? Like to save the relationship or because she?s knocked up? I?m not saying she is, I?m just saying that?s about the most unromantic question I can think of. Obviously I don?t believe for a second that Star got a perfectly-retold version of the story with completely accurate quotes. What I love is that their writer obviously filled it in with the way she thought it would go. Which involves wooing of the type most of us fantasized about around the age of eleven.
The print edition of the National Enquirer has an official ?there?s no truth to any of this? denial from Mary-Kate?s rep. However the Enquirer (who I?m much more likely to believe than Star any day) also has a lengthy article about the prenup that?s supposedly being hammered out by Mary-Kate?s lawyers. They don?t even sensationalize it ? they essentially say Nate understands that Mary-Kate has a $900 million fortune to protect, and he?ll sign a reasonably prenup. The only drama comes in from his friends supposedly telling him to hold out for a lot of money in case of divorce, their reasoning being ?What?s $50 million to someone worth $900 million?? If there?s any truth to that, then Nate?s friends are morons. I doubt they?re actually engaged because Star?s story was clearly written by a fifth grader who?s read one too many Judy Blume novels. But I bet they?re working their way there, and will probably be engaged by the end of this year. Oh and I really don’t buy that Mary-Kate eats truffles. That’s the biggest tip-off, right there.

Continuing work on her latest flick, Cameron Diaz was escorted to a police car by plain-clothed officers while filming scenes for “Knight & Day” (aka Wichita) in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday (October 23).
Sporting her penchant yellow dress, the “Shrek” sweetheart seemed to be having a marvelous time during the day’s shoot, having a few laughs with castmate Peter Sarsgaard and fellow crew members.
Miss Diaz’s latest project also stars Tom Cruise, with the projected release date set for July 2, 2010.
A synopsis of the action/comedy film via IMDB tells: “The movie begins when a small-town woman (Diaz) has a chance encounter with a mysterious man (Cruise). He is either the man of her dreams or, perhaps ... her nightmares. Amid shifting allegiances and unexpected betrayals, they are swept up in a whirlwind of globe-hopping adventure and world-changing secrets.”

As for upcoming projects, it was just recently announced that Anne will be voicing a character for the new Blue Sky Studios production “Rio.”
Joining Neil Patrick Harris, Miss Hathaway will begin working on the film in the months to come, with a 2011 release date.

Ready to settle down with her man, Ivanka Trump is gearing up for her big wedding day with Jared Kushner to be held on Sunday (October 25).
The happy couple will be tying the knot during a lavish, private ceremony at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
While Miss Trump has been able to keep most of her wedding details secret, she did reveal, “I’ve always envisioned myself having a traditional and elegant wedding, even before the engagement. At that point hopefully all of the anxiety will have subsided and I can just enjoy the moment.”
And once they become Mr and Mrs Kushner, Ivanka and Jared will be holding of on family plans, saying, “When our time to have a family comes around, I know I will compromise. I am not there yet!”

When I heard that two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank was playing aviation legend Amelia Earhart in the movie of her life, I actually squealed. I couldn’t think of a more appropriate person to play the icon, and was really anticipating the movie. But when I started seeing trailers for the film that made it look like a Lifetime Movie of the Week - lots of slo-mo glamour shots, sweeping music, and kissy-face with Richard Gere - I started to get a sinking feeling. Looks like I’m not the only one: the current critical consensus of “Amelia” says it’s a dud.
Amelia is a frustratingly old-school, Hollywood-style, inspirational biopic about Amelia Earhart that doesn’t trust a viewer’s independent assessment of the famous woman pictured on the screen. The mystery we ought to be paying attention to is: What really happened on the legendary American aviator’s final, fatal flight in 1937? But the question audiences are left with is this: How could so tradition-busting a role model have resulted in so square, stiff, and earthbound a movie? Why present such a modern woman in such a fusty format? Dressed for the title role in a wardrobe of jumpsuits, leather jackets, scarves, and slinky evening wear dashing enough to stop air traffic, Hilary Swank’s Earhart doesn’t so much talk as make stump speeches even ? when she’s at her own breakfast table. ? And director Mira Nair (The Namesake), working from an overexplanatory script by Ron Bass and Anna Hamilton Phelan (based on dual biographies by Susan Butler and Mary S. Lovell), overloads the picture with a cargo of messages, so much so that she deadens her subject’s spirit. Some of these talking points are aimed at today’s teenage girls who might admire the subject’s highly personal fashion sense; others go out to older women who cherish her feminist cred. All of them add up to banners that might as well be flown from an aircraft tail over a beach: Amelia Earhart lived free in life and love! And Fly! She! Must!

The aerial photography in this biopic looks slick, as does two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank as the rangy pioneer aviatrix Amelia Earhart, who went missing in 1937 while trying to circumnavigate the globe in her flying machine. But, oh mama, the minute the characters open their mouths, the onslaught of clichs brings the movie down in flames. The god-awful script by Ron Bass (Rain Man) and Anna Hamilton Phelan (Gorillas in the Mist) is assaultive in its insistence that ?dreams have no boundaries? and other sentiments that even Hallmark would reject as too fucking much. ?Who wants a life imprisoned in safety?? Amelia asks in a voice-over. And you want to shout, ?This movie does, honey.? There?s not a real or spontaneous minute in it.

This is a huge bummer. I guess I’ll wait for it to come out on Lifetime, or Oxygen.
In less surprising news, the sixth installment in the “Saw” franchise also left critics underwhelmed, begging the question: do we really need six of these crapfests? Someone please explain to me why these torture porn fests are getting greenlighted. Also looking to cause box-office nausea is the latest film to hop on the Vampire bandwagon, “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant,” which EW gives a generous D+. My prediction: “Where the Wild Things Are” will reign again this weekend - by default.

Not so classy? Pamela?s debt. A few weeks ago, Star Magazine was the first to report on Pamela?s extensive financial problems. Pamela denied the story, but no one believed her. Now she?s finally admitting that she?s got real problems - unfortunately, her story is even more ridiculous than Star even reported. Initially, Star claimed Pam was about $1.5 million in debt. Pamela now claims that construction has gone $3 million over budget! Guess how the figure got so high? Pam was getting her pool tiled in platinum. I repeat - PLATINUM. I sh-t you not.
Former Baywatch and Playboy pin-up Pamela Anderson has opened-up about the construction on her Malibu home that has led to her moving to a nearby trailer park.
The 42-year-old mom of two is reportedly millions of dollars in the red after costs at the beach property spiraled out of control - which included tiling her whole pool platinum!
She said: “I am $3 million over budget and I should have moved in a year ago - I’m tiling the whole pool platinum and that is expensive!”
Now, whenever the model visits the home she sobs at all the work that still needs to be completed. She added: “I’m going to sell it. I hate it. People commit suicide over constructions.
“Relationships break down over constructions and I can see why - it rips your heart out.”
The famous blonde bombshell made her comments for a documentary called Pamela Anderson: At Home With Joe For Living TV.
In the documentary, Anderson shows Joe Swash and his crew around the house revealing that her financial situation is so bad she has to live in a trailer with her electrician boyfriend Jamie Padgett, 42, and her two sons Brandon, 13, and Dylan, 11.
To help ease her financial worries she has signed-up to play Genie in Aladdin at the new Wimbledon Theatre in the UK for two weeks.
And when her guest appearance was announced box office takings increased by 800 per cent although the pin-up is only reportedly receiving $600 per day.

One of the things I?ve never understood about Sienna Miller is how she ever came to be known as a fashion icon. Were people simply desperate for a young, cute starlet who dressed like she was going to Woodstock? I?ve never really hated Sienna?s style, I just didn?t see what the big deal about it is. She was boho for a few years, and then she tried a more modern look, and now she just seems to wear whatever. Like this Blamain dress, which Sienna wore last night for the opening night of her Broadway debut in After Miss Julie. I just find this look so? meh. Yeah, her body looks good. Yes, it?s kind of interesting. But wouldn?t it look pretty if the dress wasn?t shredded? Wouldn?t it look classy to show up to your big Broadway opening in a dress that didn?t look like Sienna came from a catfight with a some disgruntled wife?
Anyway, the reviews are in for After Miss Julie, and the only the critics are unanimous about is how Sienna has amazing legs. Ben Brantley of the New York Times liked her, sort of, but he kept talking about Sienna the celebrity rather than Sienna the actress. He praised her ?good diction, good posture and great legs. Commendable as these attributes are, they are of limited use in portraying a tautly wound, death-courting neurotic who is eaten alive by her own demons.? The AP critic also mentions Sienna?s great legs - noting that she ?looks sensational: blonde hair done up in a quintessential 1940s ‘do, her trim figure wrapped in a pert floral print dress that shows off her great legs. The very model of a seducer awaiting to commence seduction ? And there is a relentless quality to Sienna Miller’s performance, not terribly subtle or vulnerable, but compelling in its obsessiveness.? Former ?Full House? star Jodie Sweetin has had quite the sordid life since the show ended in 1995. She?s battled severe drug addiction and alcoholism, got married at 20 and divorced two years later, then went on a national speaking tour talking about how she?d finally sobered up. Jodie got pregnant then married again to cameraman Cody Herpin, who she split from last November when their daughter Zoie was seven months old. Cody accused her of still being an addict and even driving drunk with Zoie in the car. At the time Sweetin obviously denied it, but now she?s coming clean about not being clean, and the guilt she?s felt over her hypocrisy.
Jodie Sweetin has found a way to make money again. Hosting a pantsless dancing competition [?Pants off Dance Off?] while addicted to meth didn’t work out so well, but maybe she will find a larger audience of readers interested in her long and sordid affair with drugs she describes as both socially acceptable (coke, Ecstasy) and those better done behind closed doors (meth). She tells all in her new book unSweetined.
Last year the ‘Full House’ middle child went ‘From Meth Addict to Mom.’ The transformation may not have been a full one. She gave birth to daughter Zoie in April 2008, soon fell back into her winey, if not methy, ways and split from husband Cody Herpin in November.

When I got to my hotel near Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I slept for a few hours but when I woke up I was still dead tired. I was a mess. Luckily I had the coke to pick me back up. I did a few key bumps and headed to the lecture hall, where a sold-out crowd waited to hear me speak. I thought for sure that one of the professors would take one look at me and kick me out. But none did. They wanted to hear about the trials and tribulations of Jodie Sweetin, or at least the Jodie Sweetin I had created by appearing on Good Morning America and talking to People magazine.
I stood up at the podium, looked around the room, and put on my best TV smile. I was so disappointed in myself. I was living a complete lie. But unfortunately, guilt doesn’t make you stop. I talked about growing up on television and about how great my life was now that I was sober, and then midspeech I started to cry. The crowd probably thought that the memories of hitting rock bottom were too much for me to handle. Or maybe they thought the tears were just a way for an actor to send a message that drugs are bad. I don’t know what they thought.
I know what they didn’t think. They didn’t think I was coming down from a two-day bender of coke, meth, and Ecstasy and they didn’t think that I was lying to them with every sentence that came out of my mouth. That much I do know. The little bit of coke that I had done before the speech wasn’t enough to make me forget how bad I felt for doing what I was doing. The guilt was eating away at me. I was struggling to keep it together, but no one realized that. I finished. They applauded. Standing ovation. Just how I liked it. And it was over.
I was just so tired. Tired of lying. Tired of pretending to be someone that I wasn’t. I took a deep breath and walked out of the lecture hall. I went back to my hotel room and buried my face in my hands. I couldn’t keep doing this. It had to end. But not today. I wiped away the tears and finished the baggie of coke.

There are some famous addicts that I get pretty sick of, and there are others that I feel genuine empathy for. I?m not sure why ? maybe it?s that she played such a nice, normal girl when I was growing up watching ?Full House? ? but I?m always rooting for Jodie. Maybe it?s that she doesn?t ?look? like a hardcore drug addict. It really makes you reexamine your own stereotypes about who a drug user is. Some of the most amazing, brilliant people I?ve met have overcome mind-boggling drug problems, and I can?t help but hope Jodie eventually does the same.
While it?s good she?s finally come clean, it obviously presents a dilemma. In the future it?ll be hard to believe she?s ever totally sober unless she presents a drug test every time she says it. I guess it?s one of those things where you just have to hope it?s true. It doesn?t seem like Jodie could handle her own hypocrisy, and knowing that you?re a fraud can really eat away at your soul over time. I can?t claim to understand drug addiction, but for me, I imagine that feeling that miserable would be a serious deterrent. Serious addiction can take several attempts to beat. Hopefully Jodie?s a lot further along in the process now.

Ashlee Simpson’s suckitude seems to have no bounds — she’s just been fired from the CW’s “Melrose Place.” According to Star Magazine
Executive Producer Todd Slavkinoth confirmed that both Ashlee and her costar Colin Egglesfield will be leaving the series.
He added they took the news “like professionals,” saying: “When you go into a show you never know what?s going to evolve and what the possibilities are. But because they knew ahead of time [that leaving was a possibility], it wasn?t a complete shock.”
Their final appearances will be in January.
Well, the good news is that Ashlee is just as good an actress as she is a singer. The bad news is that Ashlee Simpson couldn’t sing her way out of a wet paper bag if it were floating down a river in the middle of a hurricane. And I don’t even know what that means. That’s just how much she sucks.

She’s been one of the more noteworthy characters on the revival of “Melrose Place,” but according to a report, Ashlee Simpson will be saying farewell this season.
Todd Slavkin, the show’s executive producer, told press that Simpson’s departure has been “the original plan going into the development of the show.”
He explained, “We felt that once the murder mystery [involving her character] was resolved, the tone of the show was going to shift … and [Simpson’s] character would move on.”
And it sounds like Ashlee thoroughly enjoyed her short-lived gig. “Having the chance to play Violet on Melrose Place has been a thrill. Although I always knew her story would come to a final, insanely unpredictable end, playing a creepy, unstable character was something I always wanted to do, so I jumped at the chance. Thanks to the CW and the entire cast and crew of Melrose Place for allowing me this opportunity.”

MacDowell now does ads for L’Oreal and is working on two Lifetime movies based on Patricia Cornwell books. She tells Fox News in a recent interview that she realizes that the roles she’s taking aren’t as prestigious as they used to be, but says she’s happy to continue working and enjoys acting. I’ve always liked Andie MacDowell and found her kind of endearing, and these quotes just confirm that for me. MacDowell also reveals that she has to get nude for one of her upcoming movies. She says she was nervous about it, but it sounds like she just bit the bullet and did it.
MacDowell has given a couple of other interviews this year in which she’s talked about her experience getting work as she gets older. She said this summer that it’s different to get roles in your 40s, but that once you hit 50 there are more roles for older woman and that she’s just grateful to act. She said in a mildly conflicting interview this spring that things are opening up for older actresses and that “women are finally able to get older and be sexy just like men.” It sounds like she’s getting sexy for this film, that’s for sure:
“I play a real bi**h, I was a narcissistic sex addict and had to sleep with young men,” MacDowell told Tarts as L?Oreal Paris (for which she is an ambassador) received a Friend of the Walk of Fame in Hollywood on Tuesday. “But it was embarrassing because I?m pretty shy and yet I had to look at myself in the mirror and take my clothes off ?”
But one thing Ms MacDowell isn?t “embarrassed” about is her age and unrelenting determination to get work in an industry centered on juvenescence.
“We live in a society that sees getting older in a certain way, but I keep trying to tell myself of my value and my worth. I?m really comfortable with my age, I?m 51 and I have no shame about that whatsoever and I?m really comfortable in my skin,” she said. “I take really good care of myself and I insist to not go away. I want to work because it brings me a sense of self worth and dignity, I like my job. I may not be the lead or I may not get the starring roles that I used to because so many movies revolve around youth, but I refuse to go away because I enjoy it. I always find a way to get work. It may not be the best parts I used to get or it may not be as easy, but I?m still here.”
And although she?s past the half-a-century mark, MacDowell still manages to look au natural and stunning - so L?Oreal products aside, what?s her secret?
“Drinking a lot of water, getting enough sleep and doing yoga - but I really think it is acceptance. We all get older so I?m celebrating it,” she added. “Wonderful things happen when you turn 50, you change perspective. You ask, ?who am I? What do I want to do with my life? What have I not done that I want to do?? I feel like I?m enjoying life more, it?s not so much about pleasing other people. I feel like I?ve had so many successes on so many levels even if it is just my relationships with my friends.”

MacDowell has been married twice and has three children from her first marriage. She’s now single after divorcing her second husband, an Atlanta businessman, in 2004. That’s probably what she’s vaguely referring to when she says “I feel like I?ve had so many successes on so many levels even if it is just my relationships with my friends.” She’s always lovely and perfect-looking as the face of L’Oreal, but as you can see she hasn’t opted for as much plastic surgery or botox jabs as the flawless ads would make you believe. That just makes her all the more beautiful when you see a real photo of her.

Stepping out to pick up a few items, the lovely Karolina Kurkova showed off her baby bump while shopping in SoHo on Thursday afternoon (October 22).
As previously reported by Gossip Center, the Czech model announced in July that she is expecting a child with her fianc, Archie Drury.
Meanwhile, Miss Kurkova, as well as fellow model Adriana Lima, will not be among those walking the runway at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show in November.
The pair of beauties have to watch from the sidelines due to their pregnancies, with Heidi Klum also questionable after giving birth to daughter Lou on September 9th.

Smiling as she posed for paparazzi on location, the “90210” hottie was there for a fitting as she continues to crank out photo shoots along with episodes of her hit CW show.
Earlier this week, Miss McCord happened to be among the guests at the Noble Awards - during which time she revealed her kissing pleasures.
Of her ideal smooch mate, AnnaLynne tells, “He’s confident, not jealous. Understands what I do. Basically he’s perfect and that doesn’t exist.”

Out for a good cause, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden spoke to a small crowd inside the Karsten Neighborhood Resource Center at a ceremony to open the Richie-Madden Children’s Playground on Thursday (October 22).
The Richie-Madden facility is part of the Beyond Shelter neighborhood revitalization project in South Los Angeles, which is a 50-unit service-enriched housing complex designed to assist homeless families.
This new playground gives the children of these families a green space to play in a safe and protected environment.
Aside from her charity work, Miss Riche will be debuting a new contemporary women’s line called “Winter Kate” next Spring.
Talking about the line, Nicole tells: “It feels as though I’ve always been working on this collection, but officially I started putting it together in early 2009.”

Toting young Jayden James in her arms, the “Gimme More” singer was accompanied by her security team with her eldest son Sean Preston following closely behind.
And while she’s certainly had her fair share of ups and downs, a report from FOX Pop Tarts tells that Miss Spears is being molded into a sweeter starlet by her father, Jamie Spears.
“He’s really trying to clean up her image,” a source told Pop Tarts. “He’s making a lot of changes to the people around her, everyone is a bit on edge they could be the next one to be replaced.”
