While donning designer duds from Helmut Lang and Jason Wu for the Michelangelo Di Battista-shot spread, the 32-year-old singer opens up about her body image and reveals details about her Las Vegas residency.

On her body:
"I think it's important to look good and feel good about yourself, but I go both ways on it. I think it's cruel how the world puts so much emphasis on our looks. I was just watching 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians,' and I see Kim and what she went through when she was pregnant - the tabloids were so mean to her because she was big. At one point in the show she was upset and said something like, 'I would be lying if I said that the criticism from the paparazzi while I've been pregnant hasn't taken a toll on me,' And I was like, 'Bless her heart,' Because I remember that time. First of all you are already emotional, and then the paparazzi are taking pictures of you pregnant. That should be the time [in your life] when your body is the most treasured, I love being pregnant for so many reasons, not to mention the sex is awesome then. But in this business you make a deal with the devil. I've learned you kind of have to go with it. What I do calls for me to look good. People expect that.I kind of take it as my job."
On her life as a mom:
"As a mom, you have all these situations you go through and you're like, 'What is going on? Is this normal? Is this a phase? Or what is this?' and then you feel silly for asking questions because you know, I'm a mom. I'm supposed to know these things, but you don't. You're human. To be honest, I wish I had more mom friends."
On her Las Vegas rehearsals:
"The physical demands are tremendous, I'm rehearsing at least three or fours a day, sometimes even five. My body yesterday- I just felt so bad, I had to get two massages in one day! When I was younger, I wasn't as likely to rehearse as hard as I do now. I'm harder on myself these days. Before, I would practice two times, and I'm done. Nowadays I'm very critical of myself."
On her Hollywood tip:
"My advice for the next generation of stars? Don't care too much about what other people think. What matters is your own point of view."

Lending a helping hand to the car industry, Karolina Kurkova attended Art Basel in Miami Beach, Florida on Thursday (December 5).
While hosting the East Coast debut of the BMW i8 electric sports car, the former Victoria's Secret Angel rocked a few poses in a sexy Ferragamo dress as she presented the slick vehicle.
Earlier in the evening, Miss Kurkova took to her Facebook account and shared her thoughts about Nelson Mandela's death.

Her old pal Kirstie Alley completely blasted her during a recent interview on "The Howard Stern Show," and Leah Remini responded to the hurtful comments.
While chatting with Stern, the 62-year-old devoted Scientologist ranted about the "King of Queen" star's apparent "inaccurate" comments regarding the religion.
"First of all I just want everyone to know I have hundreds of friends who have come into Scientology and left Scientology," Miss Alley explained. "You're not shunned, you're not chased. All that stuff's bullsh*t."
Also taking a direct shot at Remini, Kirstie stated, "When you are generalizing and when your goal is to malign and to say things about an entire group? when you decide to blanket statement that Scientology is evil, you are my enemy. I have blocked her on Twitter... because she's a bigot."
On Thursday (December 5), the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant was confronted by TMZ about the the comments and in response, Leah took the high road and said, "You know, I just wish the best for people."

Nothing can take down Hugh Jackman. Not mutants, sentinels, that terrible first Wolverine movie and definitely not skin cancer. Jackman tells Access Hollywood that the red patch he found on his nose which turned out to be basal cell carcinoma was removed and he’s in the clear.
?I?m all good! It?s all out,? the actor told Access Hollywood at the David Lynch Foundation Presents: Change Begins Within Benefit Gala in New York City on Tuesday. ?Thank you to my beautiful wife who said, ?Come on, go and get it checked.?
?It was just a red dot on my nose and I was like, maybe I injured it in a fight sequence or something, and lo and behold it wasn?t ? It was a basal cell carcinoma,? he continued. ?I?m an Aussie, we have to get checked but everyone should get checked. Particularly if you?re my age. If you?re 21 or older, you just go and get checked. It?s simple.?
A bonus on getting that red patch removed is now his kids will stop calling him Rudolph. Those jerks.

Tending to her daily duties just one day after her release from rehab, Amanda Bynes headed into a Los Angeles, CA medical center this afternoon (December 6).
The 27-year-old actress sported brunette locks with a simple ensemble as she kept her head down to avoid the awaiting paparazzi before heading inside to her appointment.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Miss Bynes is staying with her parents after her rehab stint, which began in July. According to her mother's lawyer Tamar Arminak, Amanda "has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she's feeling better every day."
Arminak added that the "She's the Man" actress is doing very well after treatment and "She's now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design. She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."

Prior to the show, Underwood wrote, "I just want to say before the craziness starts . . . I am truly honored to be in The Sound of Music Live. This is an exciting/moving project . . . I have been surrounded by such an amazing cast and crew for the past 2 months and I will be sad when I'm not coming to set tomorrow."

As I mentioned earlier this week, Amy Adams covers the new issue of Vanity Fair. I examined the new January cover carefully, and I could not see any headline referring to this ?takedown? of Gwyneth Paltrow. We?ve been waiting for the takedown for months now ? didn?t we first hear about it in, like, August? I think so. Thousands of stories have been written about what Vanity Fair MIGHT reveal and how Gwyneth MIGHT respond and there were also stories about Gwyneth taking some pre-emptive action to try to thwart some of the more damaging information from coming out. And now it looks like everything is coming up Goop? Noooo!
Can Gwyneth Paltrow claim victory over Vanity Fair?
RadarOnline.com has learned that the famed magazine, which had planned a scathing take-down piece on the actress, is making it much softer.
And that has opened the door for A-list actors, like George Clooney, to play ball with Vanity Fair after Radar revealed that Paltrow had begged her famous friends to avoid the magazine and boycott its Oscar party.
?Whatever they wind up publishing, it?s going to be soft,? the source said. ?Gwyneth?s campaign against the Vanity Fair article has apparently worked and she?s not as worried as she was three weeks ago.
?But the article is still coming out and she still refuses to participate in it.?
It was rumored that the VF article might include Paltrow?s possible infidelity with billionaire Miami hotelier Jeff Sofer ? something she has called a ?big lie? ? as well as other salacious details about the star?s life.
As Radar has reported, Paltrow sent a mass email to her pals begging them not to participate in the magazine?s expose, stating: ?If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline. Also, I recommend you all never do this magazine again.?

If VF is going to do a ?soft? article on Gwyneth, I think it probably has less to do with Gwyneth?s attempts to get her A-list friends (she doesn?t have B-list friends ? how gauche!) to boycott the magazine and more to do with Graydon Carter not wanting to get into some kind of protracted legal battle. Like, what if Gwyneth sued? That would not look good. Anyway, after all of this time, I really just want the article to come out so we can stop with the stories about what the article will or will not include. If that means Gwyneth gets a win, so be it.

Christian Bale covers the January issue of Details to promote Out of the Furnace (which looks really good) and American Hustle, which is prime Oscar bait to the max. In an odd twist, Christian decided that the best way to ugly himself up for this role (because that’s his “method”) was to gain weight and wear a wiglet. Usually he loses tons of weight while aiming at Oscar gold. Man, his metabolism is going to rebel one day.
The Details cover is amusing because Christian is all, “Don’t look at me. I’m such an artist,” but the interview is surprisingly friendly. A few years ago while promoting Terminator: Salvation, Bale developed a reputation for railing against his press duties. He’d often embark on a rant during a feature interview, including the time he went off on a GQ journalist for asking him if he ever wanted to do comedy. He subjected the poor journo to a speech on how he hated pushing product as Bruce Wayne; he was so mad when they put “stuff, goo, in his hair, okay?” Then he kept insisting, “I can’t stand havin’ my photo taken. Can’t f—in’ stand it. What I’m tellin’ you is that I will not ever be a model. If I’m ever modeling, you’ll know I really f—ing need the money.” This particular discussion came at about the same time that the infamous set freak out hit YouTube.
Bale has grown up a bit since then. He talks a lot here about his habit of “uglying” up for a role, but insists he’s not an overly sensitive artiste any more. Bale also dismisses the internet backlash against Ben Affleck as Batman:
On his “brave” combover in American Hustle: “Hey, I hope I’ve done braver things. But it’s certainly bold, isn’t it? [Laughs] I’ve always been fascinated by the dynamics of those things, though that was something we invented. I don’t know that anyone has ever done it precisely that way, with glue.”
On his character’s beer gut: [Laughs] “I ended up with a herniated disk, which was a combination of the extra weight and slumping a lot. It’s my own fault–nobody asked me to gain the weight. I just saw Irv as being a bit of a rolling ball, full of momentum.”
Why does he play “nut-jobs” for David O. Russell? “We both love them, and I love the ideas he comes up with, and he seems to enjoy mine. We have a very humorous and at times poignant relationship. We can knock each other senseless–not physically, metaphorically–and still want to get up and give each other a hug at the end of the day. We can disagree in a way that two people who respect each other can. And when it feels like a true partnership, you do. I never had brothers. I grew up with women around me always, but what I saw of friends of mine who had brothers–man, they could have the worst fallings-out, but they were always right there for each other. Sometimes I’m calling him crazy, and sometimes he’s calling me crazy, but it’s never a straight and easy path that leads to good shit. I almost talked myself out of American Hustle.”
On pulling his “finger out of his ass” and taking the role: “I like doing whatever I’m doing, you know? I’d like to never work again if I could–who wouldn’t? But once I start working, or most of the time, anyway–there have been exceptions, believe me–I think, ‘Oh, right, now I remember what I like about this.’”
On picking a role: “It’s all over the map for me, to be honest. I’d say inconsistency is something I enjoy. But sometimes it’s the character, sometimes it’s the director, sometimes it’s the script, and sometimes–holy sh-t–it’s all three! And sometimes you just want or need to work, you know? Looking back over the films I’ve made, it’s been every reason under the sun for doing them.”
What role is closest to his own identity? “I’d be the worst person to tell you that. I barely know what color my own eyes are. I get kind of blind when I’m looking at characters. Other people point it out, and I go, ‘No, no, that’s a character, there’s nothing of me.’ But of course there always is. The idea is to bring nothing of yourself, but it’s probably impossible. I stay awake at night worrying about it.”
On the business of Hollywood: “I’m a f—ing awful businessman. I got no idea how to sell a film. I don’t know why people want to see certain films. But it’s a strange brew, you know, because I don’t feel like an artist or anything–there’s way too much business involved in this whole thing for that. But equally there’s way too much creativity for this to be like any normal business.”
On Ben Affleck’s Batman backlash: “Somebody pointed it out to me. Look, there’s no middle ground on the Internet. It’s just extreme feelings. They love you or abhor you. Ben knows that, and I doubt if he spent one minute worrying about it.”

Someone’s had some press coaching, right? He’s a lot nicer (and a lot less “smartass”) in this interview than he has been in the past. I have a feeling Christian would be a lot happer if he could act in a vacuum — lose and gain weight for his all-out roles and win peer-based awards but not worry about selling films to the general public. That’s not how it works, obviously, and especially when he signs up for blockbusters like his Batman movies. Bale is a magnifent actor, I’ll give him that. Despite all of his gimmicky weight tricks, he always brings a character to life.

These are photos of Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner at the 23rd annual “Beat the Odds Awards” for the Children’s Defense Fund. I’m throwing in some other photos from last night’s events at the bottom too. The Beat The Odds Awards honor young adults who have succeeded despite hardship, and grants them college scholarships and opportunities. There are some really nice videos on YouTube about the honorees. I just watched this video about a kid from the Bronx who grew up homeless with a single mom and who had to take care of his little brother. If you can watch that video and not cry your eyes out, you’re a stronger person than I am.
Ok, on to superficial stuff. Reese is showing off her new bob haircut (just like Jennifer Aniston and Reese’s good friend, Chelsea Handler.) I think it suits her. She’s also in a navy dress with a modern print and contemporary styling. I don’t have a designer ID for Reese’s dress, but I love it. I would wear that. Reese was at this event last year. She looks great, I really like her fashion and styling.
Jennifer Garner was in white lace and black Valentino. Like Reese, she’s dressed somewhat conservatively (for Hollywood) and in a dress that looks just right for the holidays. I love it! I also think her new bangs are cute, not a lot of women can pull them off but they’re the right length and style.
I’m adding some other ladies here at the end so we have more photos to look at. Here’s one of my favorite actresses, Emmy Rossum, in Oscar de la Renta. She’s at a benefit screening for August: Osage County. I think this dress is too fussy for Emmy. The print looks old fashioned and coupled with the fit it comes off as dowdy. With a different print, it could be cute and retro.
Emmy is with an actor named Jake McDorman. If you watch Shameless, you’ll know him as her boss on the show. She used to date the guy who played a cop on Shameless, Tyler Jacob Moore, but they broke up this summer. I wonder if things were awkward on set and if there was drama between Emmy’s suitors.
Here’s Christina Ricci at the opening night of the musical What’s It All About? Bacharach Reimagined. I’m including her because I love this look. She’s in a black and red windowpane print dress paired with a black jacket, black tights and boots. She looks comfortable and casual.

The ?On The Floor? songstress was all smiles as she hopped into the passenger seat of her Rolls Royce while boyfriend Casper Smart handled the driving duties.
Jennifer had a blast at the Craig?s dinner party where celebrities like Leah Remini, Kristin Chenoweth, Thalia, and Tommy Mottola were on the guest list.
Meanwhile, it seems J. Lo is still in the middle of her divorce with Marc Anthony, and the only thing she?s seeking is to have her legal name changed back to Lopez rather than Marc?s real surname Muniz.

Does it ever seem to anyone else that almost no time passes before a celebrity is out of treatment, even if they’ve been inside for months? That’s the case for me with Amanda Bynes, who was placed on 5150 psychiatric hold after setting fire to a random person’s driveway in July. The fire-setting incident put Amanda’s involuntary treatment in motion following months of bizarre behavior, half-dressed selfies and taunting tweets. Her mother was granted conservatorship over Amanda in August.
Amanda emerged yesterday looking sober and lucid, and was seen out with her parents walking their dogs. She gave a simple statement to In Touch earlier this week, saying “I am doing very well. I’m doing great, it’s been five days since I got out of rehab.” So it sounds like she waited a little while before going outside and allowing the paps to see her. Here’s a statement from Amanda’s mother’s lawyer about her release:
Amanda Bynes has completed inpatient treatment and is recovering at her parents’ Los Angeles home, her mother’s attorney tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who’s contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda’s recovery,” says a statement from lawyer Tamar Arminak. “Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she’s feeling better every day.”
Bynes, 27, had been forcibly hospitalized following a driveway-burning incident in July, but was eventually moved to a Malibu rehabilitation facility.
“She’s now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design,” the statement continues. “She’s mentioned before she’s interested in creating a clothing line.”
“Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She’s very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared.”
As Bynes continues her recovery, her mother Lynn will remain in indefinite control over Bynes’s well-being and finances, Arminak confirmed.

TMZ reports that Amanda has already enrolled in fashion school, and will be taking two classes at the the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Orange County near her home. She’s starting slow and will have a chaperon to and from class. That sounds like a good plan for her, and she’s expressed an interest in being a fashion designer. A lot of celebrities have fashion lines, and I think she could be successful if she’s serious about it and stays sober and in treatment.
TMZ also has video of the paparazzi following and questioning Amanda and her parents while they walk their dogs. They ask her a lot of annoying questions but the only thing she responds to are compliments on how great she looks, saying “thank you.” Amanda is lucky to have caring parents to go home to. Think of how differently things could have turned out for Lindsay Lohan if she had the same.
I hope that Amanda stays with a program, that she stays sober, and that she stays off social media. I realize that there’s more going on with her than just drug abuse, but if she stays clean she stands a much better chance.

She?s there for all of the A-list and B-list parties surrounding Art Basel. Tons of celebrities are in Miami right now too ? Kim Kardashian, Yeezington, Leo DiCaprio & the Posse, Gerard Butler and more. God knows how the Cracken is paying for this life of leisure, but I strongly suspect that these swimsuit photos are Lindsay?s way of ?advertising?. Are you a random sheik looking to blow some oil money? Are you an Asian tech entrepreneur in Miami to purchase some modern art? Well, you should give the Cracken a call. Her rates are negotiable.
Do you really want me to say something about her body? I can?t. Yes, she should be doing some squats but otherwise? she?s looking pretty good these days (for a Cracken). From what I can see of her face as well, she doesn?t look bloated or noticeably cracked-out.
Meanwhile, you know the Page Six story about Lindsay spending time with Liam Neeson?s 18-year-old son Michael? Well, Lohan ran to TMZ to set the record straight. This story is such old-school crackie, it makes me laugh:
Lindsay Lohan is practicing the safest kind of sex — NONE — because she’s too busy focusing on her career to worry about boys … sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ.
According to sources, Lindsay’s laughing off reports she’s hooking up with Liam Neeson’s 18-year-old son, Michael … claiming they’re only friends and have been for quite a while.
In fact, sources tell us, Lindsay hasn’t been dating ANY of the people she’s been reportedly seeing recently, including male models Morgan O’Connor (a friend of a friend) and Liam Dean (whom she met on a photo shoot).
Instead, we’re told Lohan is laser-focused on her sobriety and her career … plus, she’s spending at least 2-3 days a week shooting her docu-series for Oprah’s network.

I want to apologize. I may have mislead you. When I wrote “smoking,” I meant it literally as in Lindsay Lohan was literally taking drags off her cigarette while walking around with her flat ass in a bathing suit.
She was hanging out in Miami for Art Basel, an international art show described as the premiere showcase for modern and contemporary art. Basically what that means is Lindsay is going to be in Miami staring blankly at a sculpture for an hour nodding her head and muttering, “mm hmm, yes, very good,” until someone interrupts her to tell her she’s staring at a bike rack.

The "American Idol" judge was dressed in all black with a sweater, high-water pants, and matching Oxfords as she headed back outside with her assistant.
Just the day before, the "Selena" star got to have a much-needed girls night with family and some famous faces.
Re-tweeting a group shot from Leah Remini, the caption read, "Nice dinner with the gals! @JLo @KChenoweth @LyndaLopez08 though Jen made us all eat fries! #girltime."

Gearing up for more promotional duties, Zoe Saldana stepped out in New York City on Thursday (December 5).
Despite the gloomy weather, the"Star Trek" beauty was all-smiles as she walked out of an building office carrying a cup of coffee.
Recently, Miss Saldana spoke to Flare magazine about standing her ground with directors when it comes to various roles. "I can't fake how I feel," Zoe stated. "If a director's trying to make me be something I'm not, I can try to get into it, but at the end of the day, it's your loss."
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old actress discussed how she learns from her past and stated, "You have to learn from your experiences. I've been in compromising circumstances."
" I wish I'd had the strength that I have now because I would have protected myself better. I would have stood up for myself better," she added.

Readjusting to the outside world after a long stint of residential mental health treatment, Amanda Bynes took a walk with her parents in Thousand Oaks, California on Thursday (December 5).
The former Nickelodeon star stayed under wraps in a white "Gangsta Love" sweatshirt, blue skinnies, and a baseball cap as she strolled through the neighborhood with her folks and their two dogs.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the 27-year-old actress was hospitalized for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder for about six months.
According to her attorney, Tamar Arminak, "Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery. She's feeling better every day. Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She's very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared."
