Always happy to go the extra mile, Angelina Jolie was up and at ?em on Tuesday (November 18) to continue promoting her new film ?Unbroken? in Australia.
The ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? actress showed up at the Sydney Opera House to chat with the press and pose for pictures in the gorgeous late spring sunshine.
Ms. Jolie was dressed in a darling gray Atelier Versace dress with a deep v-neckline while catching up with cohorts like Geoff Evans, Jack O?Connell and Miyavi Ishihara.
And though they weren?t at the Opera House for the presser, Angelina?s husband Brad Pitt and their brood are all in the land down under to support her during this tour.

I guess Kate Upton was listening when I called Hailey Clauson my new favorite busty blonde yesterday, because here she is dropping some solid sideboob out in LA with her friend. And don’t get me wrong, those sweater mounds of hers are looking pretty great, but Kate’s going to need to do a whole lot […]

Stepping out for a family affair, Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee Simpson teamed up for the Los Angeles premiere of ?The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1? last night (November 17).
Joined by her handsome hubby Eric Johnson, the ?Come on Over? songstress showed some serious leg as she flirted with the shutterbugs outside the Nokia Theatre LA Live.
Meanwhile, Ashlee was in the house to support her own Mister, as husband Evan Ross actually has a part in the latest installment of the ?Hunger Games? franchise.
Ross, whose mother Diana Ross also came out, told USA Today, "When my face showed up onscreen the first time, everyone jumped up. The whole group. It was unbelievable."

Have you checked out LeAnn Rimes? relatively new ?official? Instagram page? I think she started it ? officially! ? to promote her Christmas EP. The thing is, I could have sworn that she?s had Instagram pages before now. Remember that hilarious IG page supposedly run by ?Eddie?? Anyway, her IG page has become just another outlet for her to channel her self-obsession. She?s been posting every day since she started it, and I?m including some of the more recent photos here. It?s worth noting? LeAnn?s ?Bonus Boys? are all over her social media these days. I know Brandi Glanville said she?s not going to feud with LeAnn anymore, but it feels like LeAnn is poking the bear. Like, ?I GOT YOUR KIDS, BRANDI, LOOK AT ME.?
Of course, LeAnn is still on Twitter. Apparently, she did a photoshoot for some country publication and she tweeted ?Nothing like a novocaine injection before a photo shoot.? Good God? this woman and her mouth drama. What else is going on? Let?s see? LeAnn will perform tomorrow night at the ?Billy Joel: Library of Congress Gershwin Prize? in DC. She?s headed to DC as we speak. She also posted an IG video of her ?practice session? for the event. Yodeling while dogs bark.

At 45 years old he?s already had a prolific career in acting so it?s no wonder Matthew McConaughey was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday afternoon (November 17).
Joined by his wife Camila Alves and kiddos Levi, Vida and Livingston, the ?Dallas Buyers Club? Oscar-winner was in goot spirits as he addressed the crowd.
Matthew stated, ?Years ago, before I had children ? and I always knew I wanted to have children ? I thought, ?When I have children, I don?t think I want to raise them around this industry. I don?t think I want to have them engaged in this industry. I want to move off somewhere and have them outside of it.??
?I can happily and honorably say ? I so love having my children engaged in what we do, and meeting the people that we get to work with.?
McConaughey also credited Camila with helping keep the family all together. ?When I go to work, she says, ?All right, kiddos, we?re all going.? No discussion. She has things she does in her own life that she?s willing to drop, put in second place. [She says,] ?You?re the primary bread winner ? We?re going with you. This is your career. We?re going.? That?s a huge privilege.?

| Angelina Jolie in grey Atelier Versace for 'Unbroken' photocall: stunning' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Following Monday night?s wildly successful and emotional Sydney premiere of Unbroken, Angelina Jolie and her cast stepped out today for a photocall and press conference to support the film. Angelina?s look here is Versace. It was custom-made just for her, because let?s face it? Donatella Versace worships Angelina. And while there are a few notable exceptions, Angelina is one of the few women who can really work a Versace dress properly. Her shoes are Louboutins ? she?s been doing the nude shoes for a while now and I wish she would stop.
There was a lot of conversation on yesterday?s post about Angelina?s ?thinness.? It pisses me off. She?s a slender woman. She always has been. I remember in her early 20s when people talked about her super-thin arms. Again, she?s ALWAYS been this thin naturally and it?s a struggle for her to put on weight and keep it on. She lost weight ? and talked about it openly ? after her mom died in 2007, and then she put on weight (obviously) when through her pregnancy in 2008. And she went through a double mastectomy last year, plus major reconstructive surgery. I don?t know, you guys? Maybe lay off her weight? She looks the same to me? I would even argue that she looks better/healthier these days than she did last year. *polishes Brangeloonie Badge*
During today?s press conference, Angelina joked about the Australian crew and the Aussie accent ? go here to see. And here?s Angelina talking about how much she loves Brad Pitt. Aw.

| NYT: Gwyneth Paltrow thinks people are sexist for 'resisting' her Goop | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Here are some photos of Gwyneth Paltrow out and about in LA over the weekend ? she was headed for a workout, apparently. Can I just have a word about those workout pants/Capris? They do not look comfortable at all. They do not look like great workout pants. I bet they chafe AND fall down at the waist. There?s nothing worse than having to adjust your clothing constantly during a workout.
Meanwhile, if you love or hate Gwyneth and her absurd Goop, you?ll probably want to skim this New York Times article. The NYT didn?t really profile her in a traditional sense, but they basically said that Gwyneth was the groundbreaker, the first of her kind as far as celebrity/lifestyle/branding crap goes. I?m sure that pleased Gwyneth to no end ? I mean, she only started Goop because she was bored and the parts started drying up. Now her side project has defined her brand and become relatively profitable, and other celebrity women are following suit. That?s why she?s so smug ? she?s ?the first.? (Except she isn?t the first, but whatever.) Here are my favorite parts:
[Gwyneth] is not alone; with her is Lisa Gersh, the 55-year-old owner of said apartment, a founder of Oxygen Media, the former chief executive of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Tracy Anderson devotee and, as of last month, C.E.O. of Goop, the aspirational ? and controversial ? lifestyle wellness-blog-cum-travel-and-cooking-tip-sheet-cum-shopping website Ms. Paltrow founded in 2008, and which Ms. Paltrow says she likes to think of as ?contextual commerce.?
?The other day Drew Barrymore and I were talking, and she said, ?Thank you for going first and getting all the scratches,? ? Ms. Paltrow said, noting that Ms. Barrymore had started a cosmetic line, Flower, in 2012. This was not long after Jessica Alba created her site, the Honest Company, to offer natural baby products and diapers; which was only a few years before Blake Lively founded Preserve, a made-in-America crafty vision; and Ellen DeGeneres introduced her E.D. brand, an ambitious project that bowed on QVC last month with holiday home wares and will expand next year into numerous product categories, as well as a website and bricks and mortar retail; and Reese Witherspoon announced that she was starting Draper James, a lifestyle brand, due in 2015.
The question is why, and whether it will last.
?It?s like heroin,? said Graydon Carter, editor of Vanity Fair and host of the New Establishment Summit. ?You get on Twitter, and then you are dispensing advice about face cream to 500 followers, and the next thing you know you are a lifestyle guru.?
?Actors are not making anywhere as much money as they used to,? Mr. Carter said. ?Hollywood is not making the kinds of movies that require gifted performers. They are making the kind of tent pole movies that require rippling abs, and women as extras. So you have to make up that income somehow.?
Between the heightened competition and the expansion plans, it?s hard not to wonder if Ms. Paltrow considers herself primarily an actor or a businesswoman. ?I don?t like to think I have to be one thing or the other,? she said, looking out over the East River at the sunset. Ms. Gersh shakes her head and joined in.
?You know,? she said, ?lots of people have multiple careers. I was a lawyer, and then one day someone called and the next thing I knew I was in TV ? ??
?People like to classify you, and when you start pushing out of your box it makes them nervous,? Ms. Paltrow said. ?There?s a lot of resistance to women coming to the table with anything new. But if it were Justin Timberlake or Jay Z or even Donald Trump, everyone would be like, ?OK.??
She thought for a moment. ?If I had to say something, I would say I am a generator of creative content,? she said. Ms. Gersh nodded approvingly.
[From The NYT]
Oh, Gwyneth. Really? Gwyneth playing the sexism card. SMH. She and Gersh joke about their goal being ?world domination,? but even some of industry experts ? and TOM FORD ? are quoted as saying they don?t know if this is just a dumb trend that will die out in a few years, like ?hey, remember when celebrities had lifestyle brands?? Oh, and of course Drew Barrymore ?thanked? Gwyneth for being the first. OF COURSE.

| Keira Knightley in Dolce & Gabbana at NYC 'TIG' premiere: cute or fug' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?m sure most of the headlines will be about Benedict Cumberbatch and his lover/fiance Sophie Hunter on the red carpet for The Imitation Game, but it?s worth discussing Keira Knightley. Keira is coming to play this awards season! And I?m happy about it because A) Keira is always good for a good old fashioned style discussion and B) a lot of people think she?s pregnant. And it?s always fun to see how a knocked up fashionista works an awards season.
I can?t say I find Keira?s Dolce & Gabbana dress all that impressive though. We?ve seen her wear much more interesting looks at the film festivals and minor awards shows already! I think the goal was to wear something a bit warmer (it?s freezing cold here on the East Coast), and so Keira just wanted something with sleeves, perhaps with a heavy fabric. I would have preferred seeing her bundled up though, in wool trousers and a warm coat, because this dress kind of sucks. The print is too busy, the gold belt doesn?t go and the pleating at the skirt is unflattering. Blah. Something nice: her earrings are pretty.
I?m also including some photos of the men of The Imitation Game, including Matthew Goode (who is based out of New York these days because he?s filming The Good Wife), Matthew?s lady Sophie Dymoke, Allen Leech, Charles Dance and Mark Strong, who looks really, really good.

| Jennifer Lawrence in Dior at 'Mockingjay' LA: angelic or too bridal' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Jennifer Lawrence brought it home for the final Mockingjay: Part I premiere in LA last night. She must be so relieved to have this event behind her. Most of the main cast showed up with the exception of Woody Harrelson. The dudes are in the gallery. There’s Liam Hemsworth (who still needs a haircut), Josh Hutcherson, and Sam Claflin. Evan Ross brought new wife Ashlee Simpson, and they both wore their best Breaking Dawn Volturi costumes. Jessica Simpson showed up with her Eric, and they made kissy faces on the red carpet. Overall, the fashion was a mess. Several of the ladies tried to give “the leg,” but it didn’t translate.
Jennifer wore Dior couture to no one’s surprise. She’s been wearing lots of white during this tour, and I think this is my favorite look of hers. This jaquard silk dress features the same bustle as her London dress, but the fabric is so much prettier. The runway version is a full-on gown, but Jennifer wears the dress shorter, fresher, and younger. JLaw styled the dress with gold Aquazurra sandals and a gold Roger Vivier clutch. She matches the backdrop of the premiere, which would be cheesy if she wasn’t the Mockingjay. Her messy updo and soft makeup are gorge.
Elizabeth Banks pulled some consistently strong looks on this tour (especially in Berlin). This strapless Leonard dress with bold paisley print has what it takes with the right styling, but the Roger Vivier shoes throw off the look. Check out the awesome boots in the runway version. Liz should have grabbed those shoes and done some Effie-esque makeup.
Natalie Dormer‘s dress was disappointing. She wore a Rocha resort gown with an unexpected belly cut-out and acres of jacquard fabric in a gathered skirt. I think this dress could have worked in a jewel tone, but the color almost matches her skin tone. The effect washes her out. Up close, Nat was a total bombshell. Her hair and makeup were flawless.
Jena Malone got it all wrong all over again. She wore a red-orange Emanuel Ungaro dress with Charlotte Olympia shoes. Jena tried hard to work those shoes. I think she intended to match this red-orange getup to her new Robin hair, but this dress is garish and awful. It reminds me of a 1980s lampshade.
Julianne Moore wore a sequinned Tom Ford number that was reminiscent of a flapper gown. I like the idea of this dress for Julianne, but the tailoring is all wrong. Can you imagine what have happened if the bodice of the dress was more structured? [Boom.] Instead, the fabric looks droopy, and Julianne’s bod is anything but droopy.
Willow Shields (who plays Prim) wore a Cristian Siriano dress with Stuart Weitzman shoes. This dress is huge and too mullety. It reminds me of an Easter basket.

| Amy Adams covers Vogue: will she finally win an Oscar this year for 'Big Eyes?' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Amy Adams finally scored her first-ever cover of Vogue, for the December issue. She?s supporting Big Eyes, yet another performance which could have her on the Oscar shortlist. She?s the new Kate Winslet in that way ? Amy?s always nominated, but she?s never won the big prize. The Academy loves her though, that?s why they keep nominating her. You can see Amy?s Annie Leibovitz photoshoot here ? Amy and her Big Eyes director Tim Burton posed together and recreated The Red Shoes. You can read the full profile of Amy here ? I always say this, but Amy is a boring interview. She?s lovely and an extremely talented actress, but she?s a snooze as a ?celebrity.? That?s a good thing in life but a bad thing for gossip. Some highlights from her Vogue profile:
Seeing golden retriever named Murphy: ?That?s, like, my dog, my spirit animal. When I was younger, I was just so hyper and friendly to everybody. And still now, when I come on set, I?m like a golden retriever at a dog park, because I?m just so happy to be around people and eager to please.?
Her early days in Hollywood: ?I was able to do everything from day player to guest star to small parts in movies and it really, to this day, gives me perspective, but going through it was painful, to say the least. I felt a lot of pressure, but I just wasn?t able to get there in the audition room. Or even in meetings. My squirreliness would come out, and people wouldn?t feel confident. I?ve always been someone who had, like, a spirit of perseverance, but I actually almost quit because I was starting not to like who I was. My lawyer called me after I was fired from the two shows and said, ?Just to even get two shows in a pilot season is amazing. So you?re doing something right.? I thank him all the time for that call.?
Why she works with such powerhouse directors: ?I prefer to work with really confident directors. If they need me to take care of them or make them feel better, it?s probably not going to go well.?
Working in the suburbs of Detroit: ?I always have to remind myself: This is how I was raised. Every house in my town looked just like that one, right there. There?s something kind of comforting about it. You feel like you could just go inside, sit down in the kitchen, and have a cup of coffee. With some creamer. Not half-and-half, but Coffee-mate.?
Her daughter Aviana: ?I miss her so much. Ten days is the longest trip I think that I?ve ever had away from her. Before I left I told her, ?Lots of people are going to see you, and Daddy?s going to take care of you.? We have a huge community of friends. But she said, ?Momma, who?s going to take care of you?? I said, ?I?m a grown-up. I take care of myself.? And she said, ?No, but you need someone to come and spend time with you.? Because now she has an understanding of loneliness. It?s very sweet. She says, ?When I grow up, I am going to be your momma.? ? She starts laughing. ?She?ll probably have to be. I?m such a wreck. I?m glad you think it?s cute now. You?re not going to think it?s cute when you?re 25 and I?m living with you.?
Turning 40 years old: ?I was like, ?I?m 40 and I still care what people think of me; I still don?t do laundry so I?m always out of things; I?m just not a grown-up at all,? and I had this expectation that I would be by this age. It wasn?t, ?Oh, I?m getting old and I?m going to lose something vibrant about myself.? It was more that I was just??she switches into a trembling Katharine Hepburn?? ?so disappointed with myself.? It?s just awful. Any chance for self-loathing!?
[From Vogue]
See? Perfectly pleasant. She?s a good person, a loving mom and a supportive partner. There?s no scandal. She?s neurotic, but no more than any other working mom and talented professional. The most interesting thing, to me, is that like ALL of her directors wanted to go on the record about how amazing she is and how much they love her. And I didn?t realize she had just turned 40 this year ? she?s a vampire! No, she?ll still be working like crazy twenty years from now. She?s utterly beloved. But will Big Eyes be the film that finally gets her an Oscar?

| Jennifer Aniston is 'flattered' that her 'Cake' performance is getting Oscar buzz | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
As we discussed yesterday, Jennifer Aniston had a small screening for her ?Oscar hopeful? film, Cake, on Sunday in NYC. As I?ve said before, I half-admire Jennifer?s hustle for Cake. I’ve written “Oscar hopeful” in front of Cake so many times, I’m almost starting to believe it! She?s really going out of her way to rustle up some ?buzz? for her performance. The problem is that she?s the only one who thinks she should get an Oscar nomination. No studio wanted to buy Cake and no one wanted to distribute it, which is why Jennifer is basically paying for her Oscar campaign out of pocket. So it?s less an Oscar campaign and more of exercise in LOOK AT ME, I DID A SERIOUS MOVIE. OSCAR BUZZ OSCAR BUZZ. Thankfully, some media outlets are willing to play along:
Sure, Jennifer Aniston stripped down for her latest role ? but it’s her dramatic turn on the big screen we’re talking about. The actress, 45, is already earning Oscar buzz for her turn in Cake, in which she plays a mourner suffering chronic pain.
“It was a just a wonderfully beautiful story of a woman in extraordinary pain, living through an unthinkable trauma,” Aniston told PEOPLE at InStyle and The Cinema Society’s Sunday premiere of the indie film in New York City.
And while her character is battling demons, “I also found her quite humorous and quite endearing,” says Aniston. “You have empathy for the character.”
The Friends alum says she was ready for the role’s change of pace from her presumed persona ? not that it was easy.
“That was a challenge for me. How do we tell this story without having everyone hate her?” Aniston says. “I actually loved her. But the movie has a beautiful way of unfolding itself without giving the story away and allowing the audience to go with the journey as it’s being told.”
As for the early awards season whispers? Aniston is surprised, saying (with a laugh) she’s “flattered” and that she reacts to the buzz “awkwardly and stutteringly.”
The actress later celebrated the film at a Grey Goose-sponsored fte at Jimmy at The James New York, where fianc Justin Theroux joined her.
“It ticked all the boxes that an actor dreams of,” Aniston added to reporters of the role.
[From People]
Her talking points have gotten better, haven?t they? I?m glad she?s not still using that ?it was so dreamy and empowering to go without makeup? line. Let?s see, what else? She spoke to E! about her research for the role, blah. They also asked her about her Thanksgiving plans and she said: ?Family tradition, the dinner?turkey dinner. Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family. I used to bring the spanakopita and the dolmades, but I’m not doing that. My grandmother’s recipe takes me about seven hours.” There?s not much of a Greek community where I live, so I had no idea what those words meant. It turns out spanakopita is a savory pastry with feta cheese (GROSS) and spinach. Dolmades are something something stuffed in olive leaves. It does sound super-complicated now that I?m looking at the recipes. I had no idea that Jennifer actually knows how to make traditional Greek food. I assumed she would be the one to just bring a bottle of Bombay Sapphire to the gathering and call it a day.

Here is Jennifer Aniston making her arrival at a Cake screening hosted by The Cinema Society and Instyle at Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City.
Jennifer Aniston took on an uncharacteristically unglamorous role in her new movie Cake, challenging herself to play a woman trying to find some relief from the chronic pain caused by an accident that also left her with large scars on her face and leg. Offscreen, she took on additional challenges by executive producing the indie through the Echo Films banner she runs with producing partner Kristin Hahn.

| Jessica Alba: 'I Want To Push The Limits of What's Possible' | Added 10 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

|
|
While she may be best known for her silver screen successes, Jessica Alba is a bona fide businesswoman with ambition by the ton.
The ?Sin City? star attended a Self Magazine panel and chatted with readers about her experience starting and maintaining The Honest Company.
Jessica began, ?I love to challenge the status quo. That's been my mission from day one as an actress and an early feminist wanting equality and wanting to push the limits of what's possible."
"I've learned much more from failure than success. Success is almost a surprise, like, 'Whoa, that worked?!' Sometimes you're like, 'How long are they going to believe this idea is really good?' Failure [singles out the] people who see it through to the finish line [no matter what] and win. That's really cool and inspiring."
Even better than a booming bottom line, Jessica loves learning about how her products help others. "Hearing how we change families' lives and have a positive impact [means so much]. I posted a photo of me at the office on Instagram, and a mom wrote, 'I have a 5-year-old daughter with severe eczema who now, because of your products, can wear shorts and run around like a normal kid.' To me, that's what it's all about."
