Tending to her many business doings, Hilary Duff was spotted making her way into a local office building in Beverly Hills, CA on Thursday (June 2).
Clad in a colorful jacket overtop a white blouse and jean short-shorts, the "Beauty & the Briefcase" babe hopped out of her ride at the valet checkpoint before heading inside for the morning meeting.
Meanwhile, Miss Duff recently looked back upon her "Lizzie McGuire" days, telling that she realized the importance of being a proper role model.
Hilary told, 'Where I came from, I had a big responsibility, I felt, towards young girls to kind of set a good example. It was never a burden, though."
She added, "I took it seriously and I liked my place and tried to respect it and live my life at the same time as freely as I could. I don't think I'm perfect and I'm sure I made mistakes along the way but I do think I did a good job setting good examples."

Tending to some personal errands, Ellen Pompeo was spotted out and about in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday (June 2).
The ?Grey?s Anatomy? babe looked cute in skinny white jeans, a blue top and flats as she and daughter, Stella, made several stops while out on their mid-week excursion.
As for Ellen's show ?Grey?s,? it is now being reported that Miss Pompeo is considering an exit from the show along with co-star Patrick Dempsey.
Ellen signed a new contract with ABC back in 2006, which ends in 2012.

Arriving for a very special event, Shania Twain was spotted in front of the W Hotel on Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood, CA on Thursday (June 2).
Joined by husband Frederic Thiebaud, the ?Feels Like a Woman? singer showed up to received the 2442nd star on the infamous Walk of Fame.
The star is well-deserved, as Twain over the years has received five Grammys, eight No. 1 hits and an album, and the 1997 offering ?Come on Over,? that became the top-selling album of all time by a female in any genre.
Expressing her gratitude via Twitter, Shania wrote earlier, ?Thank you to all my fans and everyone who came out to the ceremony today.?

Chelsea Handler covers the new issue of The Hollywood Reporter, and it?s a decent read even if you can?t stand the woman (like me). Much of it is journalistic fellatio - lots of numbers and quotes about why Chelsea is the greatest, most successful, most amazing woman working in comedy today. Which, if that?s true, I feel really sorry for Comedy. The bulk of the piece is a lot of inside-the-industry stuff about what Chelsea?s next steps in Hollywood are going to be. She talks a lot about how she?s burnt out on doing the celebrity gossip stuff, and how she wants to start covering more significant subjects, like a newswoman, I guess. She also has more to say in the aftermath of her recent comments about the abortion she had when she was 16 (go here to read the previous interview). Here is the full Hollywood Reporter piece, and here are some highlights from the piece:
On power: “I have final say in everything I’m a part of, whether it’s Chelsea Lately or my books and my stand-up,” says Handler. “That [kind of power] doesn’t happen a lot. And I didn’t know it didn’t happen until it happened to me and I realized I was the only one.”
Interesting story with a cut on Ellen DeGeneres: After a last-minute cancellation on Ellen, [Victoria?s Secret] is looking to book three of its models (led by Adriana Lima) on that afternoon’s taping of Lately to promote its new Miraculous Push-Up swimwear line. “What would they do?” Handler snipes. “Sit next to [3-foot-7 sidekick] Chuy in bathing suits? Adriana Lima is a pretty big-time model. Wouldn’t that be a little embarrassing?” None of the three or so employees around her says anything as they await her decision. After taking a few moments to mull it over, Handler dismisses the idea with a wave of her hand. “Tell them it’s too late,” she says tersely. “I don’t really need Ellen’s scraps.” Another hint of a smile creeps across her lips.
On her previous comments about abortion: In late May, Handler told a reporter from The New York Times that she had had an abortion when she was 16. “I’m pretty candid,” she explains a few days later. “I’m not interested in hearing celebrities lie about stuff like that. I’m not proud of having an abortion, its just part of the fabric of my life. There’s no reason to hide it.”
Her contract is up with E! in 2010: The comedian’s future with both E! and her Lately mothership, whose bread and butter remains the celeb-fueled gossip Handler admits she has grown to deplore, remains far from clear. “We’ll see how it goes and if it works out for me to stick around here,” Handler says, without a trace of emotion. “It’s a lengthy process. They tell you you’re valuable, and then you get a counter and you think, ‘I guess you really don’t care about me at all.’ Nothing is set in stone, so if things go south, then obviously I’ll be moving along, I talked with [E!?s head of programming] Bonnie about how I see myself growing as a producer and a performer. I’m not one to plan ahead, but I don’t want to be doing the same thing for five more years. The next step for me is not The Tonight Show. That’s a job for Jimmy Fallon. I’m way too divisive for a show like that.?
She wants more than celebrity gossip: “I want to do something that’s going to utilize my brain a little more than this show,” she says. “If Lately is the show that I’m going to do, it’s going to change. But it may turn out that I’m done with it altogether. I can’t keep doing the same thing; my brain is bleeding. I want to do something that’s more mindful and isn’t celebrity-centered. I’m not looking to totally bail on E! They’ve done a lot for me, and I like it here.” Beat. “If you take away the Kardashians. I want to do something people aren’t expecting from me? I want to educate people and deliver news that isn’t just surrounded by Charlie Sheen. I’d like to be able to do the serious stuff in conjunction with the comedy. I’d like to make an impact and have more responsibility than I do now.”
Chelsea?s comedic double-standard: “I only have talked about people that I think are acting irresponsibly or are making fools of themselves,” she says, putting her face in front of her dog Chunk and receiving a lick on the nose. “There’s no reason to talk about Reese Witherspoon. I’ve never talked about those people and anyone I’ve become friends with. I’m not going to be friends with them if they’re idiots in the first place.” And in her mind, she knows who the idiots are and the distance she wants to keep from them. “Jennifer [Aniston] said she saw the Kardashians at dinner last night,” Handler says. “She was like, ‘They’re nice.’ And I said: ‘Don’t get photographed with the Kardashians!’ People will blame me for it!”
Coming to LA: “I wanted to be famous. It’s embarrassing to admit, but I came out to L.A. thinking it would happen in no time,” Handler says with a snort. “I thought, ‘Once they see me, they’ll be so glad I came.’ I always had a ridiculous amount of self-confidence about what was going to happen to me.”
On insecurity: “When I was starting out and I didn’t have my own show, yes, I was insecure,” Handler explains. “But no, I’m not insecure now. Once you’ve achieved success and you’re making decisions that are working, I don’t understand why anyone would be second-guessing themselves.”
On Joan Rivers: What Handler’s future holds is anyone’s guess. She avoids comparisons to other female comedians, even Joan Rivers, who long ago also was criticized for raunchy humor and rough treatment of celebrities. When asked her thoughts about the Rivers documentary A Piece of Work, Handler says, “I thought, ‘I hope I’m not doing stand-up at that age.’ ”
She talks about selling out: So what will it be? She makes it clear, whatever she does, she will do it her way. “I have really strong opinions; I’ll never sell out,” Handler says. “I’m not going to wake up one day and have a perfume. That’s never going to happen.” She adds, “It would smell like rubbing alcohol.”

On one side, I respect her honesty about how burnt out she is on celebrity gossip and how silly and dumb her job can be. I get it, I really do. But it also feels like she?s being an ingrate too - there are lots of female comedians (and male comedians) who would love to be making the money she?s making, and, you know, those comedians are WAY more talented. Don?t look a gift “horse” in the mouth. At some point, people are either going to get tired of her or she?ll try something new and fail miserably. Then she?ll wish she could go back to screwing a married cable-channel boss for a five year contract.
Also, did you notice the hypocrisy of ?I only have talked about people that I think are acting irresponsibly or are making fools of themselves?? Really, Chelsea? Because you used to treat every celebrity the same, that everyone was up for grabs, everyone could be made fun of. Now that she?s hooked into CAA and Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, Chelsea IS playing it safe, to a certain extent. Some celebrities get treated with kid gloves. Some don?t. The ones that don?t aren?t hooked into CAA. She?s playing the same game everyone else is playing, the only difference is that she?s pretending to be some truth-telling, ballsy provocateur when she?s just the same old hack.

Here are some new photos from something called the ?Baby Buggy Bedtime Bash? in Central Park. Tiffani (AMBER) Thiessen was there with her year-old baby girl, Harper Renn. I haven?t seen many photos of Harper, so these made me happy. Plus, I just love Tiffani. I love her as a person, and as an actress - she?s wonderful on White Collar. I think Harper is a good blend of her two attractive parents already. At first, I think Harper had little baby highlights, but I think the ?lighter streaks? that I?m seeing are just her pale skin peeking through?
So, I actually squealed a little bit when I saw these pics because I get to talk about White Collar! The new season premieres next Tuesday!! Yay! Now we can finally find out exactly WTF is happening with the treasure. I think Alex stole the stuff and managed to put it where Neal could find it? And, mostly importantly, they can finally start shooting some sexier stuff between Tiffani and Tim DeKay. It felt like the whole last season was all closeups of her face. Not really, but they definitely had to work hard to NOT show her figure. Also: Tiffani?s husband Brady Smith is going to be coming on the show!

As a woman, I find myself incredibly sensitive to the effects of the aging process, which isn’t helped by the general public’s acceptance of the word “cougar” as a metaphor to describe women who go after younger men. Of course, I am actually married to a younger man; that is, if a difference of two years even matters at all in the grand scheme of things, which it really doesn’t at all. This is in sharp contrast to Ellen Barkin, whom Page Six describes as a “supercougar” (ugh) since she’s apparently shacking up in a long-term relationship with 26-year-old Sam Levinson. Sure, Barkin’s got the body of a 30-year-old, but all the busted-up plastic surgery in the world can’t disguise the fact that she’s actually 57-years old. Exactly what these two have in common beyond the obvious — sex — is beyond my comprehension, but admittedly I cannot see past the fact that Barkin has a 21-year-old son. This is pretty gross, right?
When Tony front-runner Ellen Barkin opened her home for a magazine profile in April, one detail the reporter managed to miss was the 20-something boyfriend residing in Barkin’s bedroom.
The 57-year-old supercougar has been living with Barry Levinson’s son, 26-year-old writer-director Sam Levinson, in what sources tell Page Six is “the worst-kept secret in New York.”
“I’ll show you more than the living room . . . the ‘public’ room of my West Village townhouse,” Barkin told the New York Times Magazine. Upstairs in Barkin’s boudoir the writer found “hundreds of DVDs,” as well as “scented candles near her bed” — but apparently no sign of Levinson.
But Barkin and Levinson, who’s only five years older than her son, Jack, have previously been “linked” in reports. The couple has actually cohabitated for two years, and been an item for longer — despite the 31-year age gap, multiple sources said.
“They go out, they’re photographed together, they don’t keep it secret,” said a person familiar with the May-December duo. “It works, but it’s weird,” added another.
A rep for Barkin said the star does not comment on her personal life.
Barkin launched her career in Barry Levinson’s 1982 film Diner. Sam was born three years later. But Barkin’s relationship with her young hunk is no fling: She’s been overheard saying she’ll part ways with him when “they roll me out in a wheelchair.”
Barkin is in a wheelchair nightly as a polio-stricken doctor fighting the AIDS epidemic in Larry Kramer’s “The Normal Heart,” which is a favorite to win the Tony as best play revival June 12.
Barkin met Sam Levinson when he was writing the film Operation: Endgame more than three years ago. It was released last year. She then produced and starred in his feature directing debut, Another Happy Day.

What I find amusing is that Page Six talks as if the NYT Magazine reporter was supposed to have entered Barkin’s bedroom to find her young lover sprawled out on the bed wearing nothing but a loincloth and holding a rose between his teeth. While it’s true that these two have been photographed together on at least one occasion (we don’t have access to that particular picture, but PopEater does), it’s not as if they walk the red carpet together or even get papped on the streets of New York City. Mostly, the paps get pictures of Barkin walking her dog, so maybe Levinson is the puppy she keeps at home? I think I just grossed myself out.
Interestingly enough, Barkin was recently snapped on the red carpet while holding hands with 32-year-old Lee Pace and his porn ’stache at the 56th Annual Drama Desk Awards.

You’d think the more popular, hotter Kardashian could have commanded much more money but no. $300,000 seems to be the all the magazines have in their Kardashian reserve.
How did gamble pan out? Not that well. The issue underperformed, selling below its average. Hopefully this means America’s love affair with Kim Kardashian is coming to an end. Because that means another sex tape or leaked cellphone pics for publicity. And everyone loves sex tapes and leaked cellphone pics. Especially Google.

Pardon me, I just have to rant about this. When People Magazine asked Heather Graham, ?How do you stay so young-looking and beautiful?? Heather replied, “I try to get 11 or 12 hours of sleep a night. It sounds excessive but that’s really what I need. It does the trick.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Yes, Heather looks good, and she could easily pass for more than a decade younger than her real age (she?s 41 years old!). But seriously, 11 or 12 hours of SLEEP? Every night?!? That means that Heather has literally been asleep for HALF of her life.
So here?s my rant: I?ve been a person who struggles with getting enough sleep for a very long time. It started when I was a teenager, it got really bad in college, and I still struggle with weeks and months of intermediate insomnia to this day. Drinking helps, honestly. If I have a cocktail before bed, I can get a decent night?s sleep. But I haven?t been drinking lately, and so my sleep pattern has been all out of wack. When someone like Heather just tosses off ?oh, I sleep 12 hours a day? my mind is boggled. How can you do that? Really, I want to know! My body?s internal clock starts screaming ?GET UP SLUT? around six a.m., no matter if I?ve just gone to bed at two a.m. Maybe it?s because I?m neurotic? I lay in bed and think about all of the crap I have to do. Maybe Heather doesn?t have that problem. Because she rarely works, and thus, she rarely has anxiety.
I don?t even remember the last time I got more than eight hours of sleep, honestly. Must be nice. I would love to have that kind of rest occasionally.

The Kardashian media machine kind of amazes me. I get it, we talk about them and we’re part of the problem, but even though most of us are mocking them they’re still churning out stories about their lives and cashing in with so many endorsements, products and appearances. It’s like they’re selling us an easy gossip target, and they’re a whole family so there are that many more people to talk about.
Kim is engaged as you know, and she has a disgustingly garish 20.5 carat diamond ring, hopes to outdo the royal wedding, and is going to pay for it all by putting it on television and selling the rights for just about everything to just about anyone. There will be an insane amount of product placement at Kim’s wedding, and it will be obvious, just wait.
The Hollywood Reporter has the news that Kim got $300,000 from People Magazine for her cover story and the photo spread last week just about her engagement. That figure is really standard for the Kardashians, who allegedly earned Kourtney $300k for her baby stories and Khloe got $300k for her wedding photos.
The new issue of The Hollywood Reporter can reveal that Kim Kardashian, newly engaged to New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, sold exclusive pics of her engagement party (with accompanying confirmation) to People for a cool $300,000.
According to an insider, the issue underperformed on newsstands, selling below its average. A People spokesperson and a rep for Kardashian had no comment.
The $300,000 payday is par for the course for the Kardashian family, which earned $65 million last year, as detailed in a Hollywood Reporter cover story.
News of Kourtney?s 2009 pregnancy was sold in a package deal for $300,000 to Life & Style magazine. That included multiple stories: the pregnancy announcement, sex of the baby, birth announcement, first baby photos and body-after-baby reveal. (Life & Style declined comment to THR in February.)
When it came to Khloe?s marriage to Los Angeles Lakers forward Odom, she did even better. OK! Magazine received the official photos and announcement for just shy of $300,000.
Kris also had everything from the Lehr & Black custom invitations to Khloe?s 9-carat engagement ring ?donated? for the lavish affair; sources say she promised vendors massive product promotion that would come from the media circus surrounding the wedding. In the event that an item wasn?t gifted, E!, it is believed, picked up the tab (E! declined comment).

At least People didn’t do that well with Kim’s engagement on the cover. She’s probably annoyed she didn’t snare a more famous guy, but it was time for her to get engaged since her sisters are outperforming her in the baby and partner departments. (As if scoring Scott Disick is in any way preferable to perpetual singlehood.)
Meanwhile Kim has refuted that OK! cover story suggesting she could be pregnant, “I’m Having A Baby,” which was really all about how she’ll have kids someday as she’s said in the past.
Kim also reportedly wants to change her last name to her would-be husband’s name, Humphries, so she’ll be Kim Humphries instead of Kim Kardashian. Her momager is annoyed at this, and says “She needs to be Kim Kardashian because she?s worked so hard to get where she is.” You can read that as: “she’ll mess up our family’s brand if she ditches our name.”
Life & Style reports that Kim is going to get married in the next two to three months, before basketball season starts for her fiance, Kris. L&S’ insider claims “The wedding is going to be at the end of July or the beginning of August. The reason they?re rushing it is because they want to do it before the basketball season starts again, so that they have time to have a romantic honeymoon!? You know that it’s timed for business reasons and has nothing to do with Kris’ kareer. This whole thing has been orchestrated by the other Kris, the one pulling the strings and making the deals and selling us her daughters’ lives. They’re the famous equivalent of the trashy, tacky family down the street that we all cluck over while we’re having drinks with friends.

Here are some fully-clothed shots of Blake Lively?s photo shoot for Glamour Magazine. She?s their July cover girl, probably to promote her supporting part in The Green Lantern. The photo shoot is? well, I think she looks pretty in most of the shots, but JESUS CHRIST, someone tell this chick to close her mouth. I don?t mean that I want her to stop talking - she gives a good interview - I?m talking about getting her to PHYSICALLY shut her mouth while posing her photos. It?s The Open-Mouth Syndrome (also known as “Beej-Face”) that is running rampant throughout young Hollywood. Blake might even have it worse than Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson combined.
Anyway, obviously, this interview was conducted before Blake and Leonardo DiCaprio officially became a couple in the south of France last month, so there are no quotes about HOW she won The DiCaprio?s Heart and Loins. Go here to read the full Glamour piece, and here are some highlights:

On becoming the new face of Chanel?s Mademoiselle handbag: ?It?s such an honor. When I found out I got [the job], you and I [Editor?s note: She?s talking to Florence Welch] went to dinner and concocted this plan, like two little girls at a tea party, saying, ?Oh, it would be the best if we had a party. And you?ll perform, and we?ll do it in Paris.? Like you and I were in charge of Chanel!?
On being her own stylist: ?You know, my mom modeled and made clothes, so I always had such an appreciation for design. And then Gossip Girl completely blew open the door to fashion for me. I?d go to fashion shows and call my publicist and say, ?Can I wear that?? I think I became my own stylist by not knowing any better. And once I was told it was time to get one, I thought: This is one of my favorite hobbies! And I?m going to pay someone to steal my hobby from me? That?s a terrible idea!
Being nervous at her first Met Gala: ?You?re referring to this beautiful teal Versace dress that I wore. I loved that dress, but I am far too shy to walk around in a dress like that with a slit up to my neck. So I thought, The only way I can wear this is to pretend I?m someone else. Who is somebody who completely owns her sexuality? I thought, Marilyn Monroe! So I?m going to be Marilyn Monroe tonight.?
On getting ready for an event: I like it to be easy. I don?t feel like I have to do so much with hair and makeup, because I?m the mannequin for these beautiful clothes, so I never want to do anything too distracting. Most of the time, I put my hair in a ballerina bun, and I take it down and it?s wavy, and then I leave. I feel shy when people are fussing on me. And my diet of choice before events is a chicken potpie from Tea & Sympathy, because they never have enough food at these things.?
On breakups: ?Every relationship you have, you?re learning and growing and taking something from that. So for me, it?s never been too dramatic of a thing when something ends.?
Working on The Town: That?s the real me?that?s what you don?t know! [Laughs.] No, I?m drawn to those roles because [they?re so] rare, especially for someone my age. Women in film are often the prizes for the men and nowhere near as layered or complex as the men get to be. My character in The Town was written for a 37-year-old. I had to fight for that role. But also, I?m not this super-tortured soul, so it?s fun to be able to go there.
Being confident: Well, I have a strong sense of myself. That gives me a sense of security, you know? If I define myself by things that are always changing, like the public?s opinion or what I?m wearing or what job I?m doing, there?s no stability in that.

I?ve seen The Town several times, and I?m here to tell you that Blake really isn?t any good in it. Some actors? performances grow on you through repeated viewings - like, I thought Ben Affleck did a much better job the second time I watched The Town. But after the first time, you just realize how miscast Blake was in that role, and then you start to wonder what the hell she had to do to get the part. Oh, Blake. So much ambition, so little actual talent.

Getting all dressed up for an exquisite evening overseas, Salma Hayek joined Francois-Henri Pinault in attending the "Il Mondo Vi Appartiene" Exhibition Opening in Venice, Italy on Wednesday (June 1).
Held as part of the 54th International Art Biennale at Palazzo Grassi, the "Puss in Boots" beauty and her business mogul beau turned up with daughter Valentina in tow while joining Joana Vasconcelos at the artsy ceremony.
Once finished up, Miss Hayek passed her growing girl over to nannies while tossing on a sexier frock for a late dinner party following the exhibition opening.
The festivities were organized by Caroline Bourgeois, with the function put together to put the spotlight on the works of 39 artists from spanning generations in a comparative focused effort.
