I?m still shook about Beyonce and Jay-Z?s ?Apesh-t? video. I went into it cold, not expecting anything other than some cool imagery and a good song. It took me a second to realize? ?holy sh-t, they shot this IN THE LOUVRE.? Very few people get to shoot anything in the Louvre. It?s not hotbed of fulfilled filming-location requests, because the Louvre is one of the biggest tourist attractions (if not the biggest) in Paris. There?s just no way that the museum could shut down to allow film productions or video productions to shoot there all the time. But they made an exception for Beyonce. So maybe that Illumanti sh-t is real the head of the Louvre must be the grand master of Priory of Sion, and Beyonce is descended from? wait, I mixed up the plot of The DaVinci Code again. Anyway, apparently the Louvre allowed Bey and Him to shoot in the museum because? they, like, visited it a few times.
David. Gricault. Da Vinci! They were just a few of the artists Beyonc and Jay-Z strategically featured in their new ?Apesh*t? music video ? performing under the name the Carters ? mostly because, oh, you know, they were given private access to the Louvre to groove around whichever masterpieces they wanted. As us plebeians can?t usually get close enough to the ?Winged Victory of Samothrace? without being yelled at by another patron to move out of their photo, we couldn?t help ponder to Apollo, the Greek god of the arts: How was the museum able to grant such a big request? And remain secretive about the whole damn thing? Silly us. Like the Louvre wouldn?t do anything for Beyonc.
?Beyonc and Jay-Z visited the Louvre four times in the last ten years. During their last visit in May 2018, they explained their idea of filming,? a spokesperson for the museum told Vulture. ?The deadlines were very tight but the Louvre was quickly convinced because the synopsis showed a real attachment to the museum and its beloved artworks.? Quickly convinced! Tight deadlines! The Palace of Versailles could never.

My mind is still blown, honestly. Can you even imagine the amount of coordination, and all of it done without anyone breathing a word? They had to have the dancers all ready, and the routine ready too. They had to have all of the costumes worked out ahead of time. They had a director who knew how to film everything in that narrow time frame my assumption is that they were probably only given one night, MAYBE two nights and they had to not only get the dancing and posing, but they had to get beauty shots of all of the artwork. It?s insane.

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and North West out and about in New York this weekend. It feels like the Kardashian-Wests were doing a week-long celebration for North?s fifth birthday the birthday girl got multiple parties, shopping excursions, ice cream, candy and lots of paparazzi. Whenever I see North, I?m just struck by how much she looks like Kanye, and how Kim always says that North is so much like Kanye. Honestly, I hope North grows up to be more like her mom, but we?ll see.
Meanwhile, Kim?s entire interview with Van Jones aired on CNN on Friday. She did this interview soon after she convinced Donald Trump to commute the sentence of Alice Marie Johnson. Kim has basically been doing a (well-earned) victory lap in the press ever since, but I?ll give her some credit: this experience had a positive effect on Kim. It?s like she suddenly realized she has more power than she ever knew. She might make a habit of this, personally lobbying dictators and politicians. Or she might run for office. That?s what Van Jones asked her whether she would consider running for president:
The Alice Marie Johnson commutation has opened her eyes: I honestly saw that if I could use my platform just to do something for one person, that it opens the conversation for so much more and for other people to want to do the same thing. If more people would just put their personal feelings aside and talk about really important issues that have to be discussed, then so much more can get done.?
Whether she would ever run for office: I guess never say never. But thats not going to be like, Kims running. Thats not where I am.?

I?m including the short video clip below Kim is pretty clear that she?s not completely shutting down the idea that she could run for office, but truly, that?s not where she is right now. Besides, I actually think that IF Kim did run for office some day, she would actually want to work her way up like, she would run for mayor of Calabasas (or mayor of LA), then maybe governor of California. Then after a few terms as governor, she would run for president, because why not?

Jada Pinkett Smith is doing the rounds for Red Table Talk, which is produced in conjunction with Facebook Watch. It was announced that the first season has been extended 13 more episodes to air in the fall. Given Jadas formula for promoting this show: overshare, get headlines, do interviews explaining the things she revealed, I wonder if its sustainable. Weve already heard Jada talk about her lax parenting, her love of getting off, her hair loss and her feud with Gabriel Union. I shouldnt underestimate Jadas ability to make people cringe. Plus shes having Will on the show soon. They can tell us all about their sex life, just like ten years ago.
Anyway Jada was on the radio show Sway In The Morning, where she talked about her show, her family and her relationship with Will. It was similar to other things weve heard from Jada when shes hinted that she doesnt have a traditional marriage.
Will is going to be on next season
We are going to talk about the very unique partnership with have.
On if they?re going to confront the rumors that they?ve had breaks
Will and I, we are family. That?s never going down. That?s just not. Ever. Take out all that whole marriage, relationship crap. At the end of the day, Will and I are family. I?m going to hold him down. All that relationship, what people think, ideas of a husband, partner whatever. At the end of the day, that?s a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life. Period.
A caller asked when theres a small indiscretion how do you get past that?
The one thing Ive learned as much as we wish our partners could be perfect, that they never hurt us, that they came into relationships with no flaws and had everything figured out, we dont. Inevitably all kinds of things [come up] figuring out are you a person who can hold down monogamy, are you a polyamorous individual? Whatever the hell. Relationships really are about self discovery I have to be more for myself. As I become more for myself I can look at my partner and I can see what his flaws are. I can see what his hurts and his traumas are and sometimes peoples actions reflect hurts and traumas. Do you have somebody thats willing to work through [that] in order to get through to the other side? Ive learned how to love unconditionally as Ive learned how to love myself unconditionally.
She says shes explored different kinds of relationships
People look at relationships as very cookie cut and thats a problem. There are so many different kinds of relationships that are happening in the world that were not talking about that Ive explored completely. A lot.

Jada also said that Will regularly goes on vacation with his ex wife, Sheree, and their son, Trey. Sheree, Will and Trey, 25, just got back from a vacation to Jordan and Israel. I was surprised that she admitted that Will went on vacation with his ex, but obviously it works for them and Jada is ok with it. A lot of families bring their exes on vacation to co-parent with them and can get along.
As for her relationship, I think they did have serious problems around 2011-2012 and they worked it out. Jada seems fine with whatever at this point. Her comments about polyamory were telling to me. You can see that at around 22 minutes into the video below. She talks about how shes standing by Will no matter what around six minutes in.

Here are some fashion photos from the MTV Movie and TV Awards. The red carpet and show went down on Saturday night, but the show doesn?t actually air on MTV until tonight, Monday night. I truly believe they?re doing it this way because the MTV Movie Awards have been totally sh-tshows for several years now barely anyone shows up, and it?s all hype and no action. Anyway, as I said, this is just about the fashion. Olivia Munn was in attendance and she wore a Galvan jumpsuit in velvet. You know what? I absolutely love this. I don?t think people should wear velvet in June, but other than that? I love this look. From the neck up though? my God. Is she still claiming that she got an entirely new face from eating Japanese potatoes? LOL. Her face is like a cartoon at this point.
Tiffany Haddish in Galia Lahav. Tiffany is the host of this year?s show, so I suspect that this gown was only for the red carpet, and she changed multiple times during the show. I?m actually pleased that MTV helped organize some clothes for Tiffany so that she wouldn?t wear that same white McQueen dress she wears everywhere. I mean, I love that she re-wears it, but I hope designers WANT to dress her and help her feel like a princess.
Yara Shahidi in Tory Burch. Love the color, love the jacket, absolutely loathe the pants. They ruin the look.
Lili Reinhart in IZETA. It?s a black doily and it?s fine. I would have put this with black heels, but whatever. She?s a pretty girl, and I?m also starting to feel like she?s a shape-shifter? She looks so different on every red carpet. This one is a little mini-Blanchett.
Katherine Langford in Giorgio Armani. I?ll admit it, I?m out of touch when it comes to so many of these younger celebrities, so this is the first time I?ve ever really noticed Langford?s whole vibe. I LOVE IT. The MTV Movie & TV Awards are not some big deal where you have to wear a serious gown. You can do some weird-silly goth look and have fun with it. It helps that she has the face to pull this off.
