Julia Stiles is one of those celebrities who stays so far under the radar that when you see her you realize how much you missed her. It’s not like she ever has a reason to disappear, she just isn’t very self promoting, she does her own thing and comes out rarely. That’s why it’s so nice to hear that Julia, 36, is pregnant with her first child, with fianc Preston J Cook, who works as a cameraman. They got engaged in December of 2015 and are expecting a baby later this year. Julia’s rep confirmed the news after a photo came out of her holding her pregnant bump. (That’s below, she’s shown after a radio interviewer.) Here’s more:
This will be the first child for the couple, who got engaged in December 2015 after meeting on set of the 2015 film Go With Me, where Cook worked as a camera assistant.

During an appearance on Live! With Kelly in July 2016, Stiles shared that the proposal came as a total surprise because she didn?t want to get her hopes up ? but she did have suspicions he might pop the question.
?We had had a conversation waiting for an elevator one day, where he was randomly like, out of nowhere, ?With jewelry, you don?t really wear silver or platinum. You?re more into gold,?? she recalled. ?And then I went, ?What is up with this conversation???
Stiles has been busy in London promoting her latest project, Riviera. The 10-part thriller series is set to premiere on the U.K.?s Sky Atlantic on June 15 and stars Stiles as an art curator named Georgina whose life is turned upside down after her husband is killed in an explosion aboard a yacht in the French Riviera.

People has a little more of Julia’s recent interviews, including the fact that she said that they’re slow on wedding planning and aren’t in a hurry to get married. I’m so glad to hear that she’s doing TV work in England and wonder if I’ll be able to see that show streaming. (I’m thinking of subscribing to that British TV streaming service, Acorn, as they have such good shows but I already have cable plus premium accounts with Hulu, Netflix and Amazon.) Julia’s rare paparazzi photos are used for clickbait articles on “Celebrities who have normal jobs,” but in fact she’s been working steadily in lesser-known movies and on television. She’s an excellent and underrated actress and I last saw her on the YouTube series, Blue, where she played a high end prostitute. (Unfortunately Blue used to be free but you now have to subscribe. I haven’t seen the latest Jason Bourne movie yet, but it starts streaming on HBO today actually, May 13th, so I’m looking forward to that.)
Anyway congratulations to Julia and Preston! I just checked her Instagram and she’s on the right side of history so I like her that much more.

In and around 2008-09, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin were married, but it was widely believed that they were going through a major rough patch. Gwyneth spent a lot of time talking about how marriage meant that you had to put up with a lot of sh-t and she was in it for the long haul. And then she started spending A LOT of time with billionaire Jeffrey Soffer down in Miami. They were very, very friendly. She would stay at his Florida mansion whenever she was in town. Their affair was allegedly well-known among that set. Years later, Soffer married Elle Macpherson and Elle reportedly hated Gwyneth and all of those rumors. Many people wondered why Elle settled down with a guy who had that kind of reputation – a billionaire romancer of famous blondes – knowing that he seemed pretty shady in his private life. And guess what? Elle and Soffer are splitting up.
Elle Macpherson and Jeffrey Soffer have called it quits after nearly four years of marriage. A source close to Soffer confirmed the split to PEOPLE, saying simply, ?Jeff and Elle have split.? The 53-year-old Australian supermodel and wellness expert, known as ?The Body,? married the Miami-based billionaire real estate developer in July 2013 after getting engaged in March 2013. Their ?day wedding? ceremony took place before about 15 guests ? friends and family ? inside a villa at the luxury Laucala Resort in Fiji.
The pair dated for two years before splitting in March 2012 and then rekindled their romance after Soffer was injured in a 2012 helicopter crash in the Bahamas. The Britain & Ireland?s Next Top Model host was previously married to photographer Gilles Bensimon (Real Housewives star Kelly Bensimon?s ex), and her two sons are from her relationship with ex-fianc Arpad Busson.
Soffer had previously been linked to Gwyneth Paltrow. He ?has a lot of power over women,? said a Palm Beach source after Paltrow?s split with Chris Martin in 2014. ?He?s very seductive.? A Soffer family friend said the actress, who attended the reopening of the real estate mogul?s Fontainebleau hotel in 2008, ?was staying at Jeff?s house for quite a while? around that time. ?Something might have come from it had she been single. But she wasn?t.?

I?m living for the shady way People Magazine introduced that Gwyneth information. At first they make it sound like Gwyneth might have been dealing with Soffer after her marriage fell apart. But no. Their alleged affair happened 2008-09, when she was with Chris Martin. As for Elle and Jeffrey?s split? OH NO I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. Said no one.

Last night was the big New York premiere of Rough Night, the raunchy girl comedy starring Scarlett Johansson, Zoe Kravitz, Ilana Glazer, Jillian Bell and Kate McKinnon. Let?s start with Scarlett. ScarJo wore Michael Kors and? the dress itself is not awful. Like, on another woman, I would talk about how it?s surprisingly good. But Scarlett doesn?t even seem to believe in this dress. Her styling is awful, she looks really tired and I feel like she?s probably regretting her hair now that everybody has the same cut. Apparently, ScarJo and Colin Jost (Josthansson?) were seen out on a date this past weekend, so maybe she?s legit tired because she?s been banging Jost non-stop. Who knows?
Ilana Glazer in Lanvin. I enjoy this more than I should. This suit reminds me of fancy silk pajamas. So it?s a win!
Zo Kravitz in Oscar de la Renta, with boyfriend Karl Glusman. Their relationship still feels very intense. They?ve been dating for less than, like, eight months. And they?ve already done several official appearances together. As for her de la Renta jumpsuit? it?s fine. I?m not crazy about the blonde pixie cut on Zoe, but it?s fine.
Kate McKinnon is a goddess in red. Love her. Apparently, she brought her girlfriend to the premiere too.
Demi Moore in Dior. This is, no joke, my favorite look of the premiere. I?m shocked that my favorite look is A) Dior and B) on Demi Moore. But here we are. The colors are interesting and unexpected. The design is simple. And Demi honestly looks great.
