On the career front, Miller has a new movie called "Hippie Hippie Shake" being released in the UK on May 21st.
The flick is described as "an account of counterculturalist Richard Neville's misadventures in London at the end of the 1960s."

Christina Aguilera’s new video “Not Myself Tonight” came out last week, and to say it was ridiculous would be an understatement. It was a constant moving cliche of overdone music video moments meant to be shocking. Taken together it was like a parody of an actual video. There was plenty of S&M, a girl on girl kiss, Christina on all fours crawling like a cat, and brandishing a whip. Several scenes looked like complete rip offs from Madonna videos, primarily “Express Yourself” with Madonna strutting on a smoky stage in a suit with a monocle and then licking from the cat bowl and pouring it down her back. In fact Aguilera’s video had all of these things. (The monocle part is around 1:45 in the video above. Aguilera pours chocolate down her back at 2:50. Compare that to the monocle part in Express Yourself at 2:00 in, and Madonna pouring milk down her back at 3:45.) There were also group scenes toward the end straight from Paula Abdul’s “Cold Hearted Snake” Video and I’m sure there’s much more I’m missing.
Anyway, while Aguilera should be apologizing for how derivative her video was she’s instead defending how sexy it was, as if it was as shocking and groundbreaking as she intended it to be.
Christina Aguilera’s brand-new “Not Myself Tonight” video is certainly jaw-dropping, a three-minute run of barely-there outfits, extended S&M-inspired sequences and a whole lot of guy-on-girl groping.
But in an interview with “Access Hollywood,” Aguilera defended the clip, saying that it shows off her wild side, which she’s not shying away from just because she’s a mother.
“Mama still has to be me,” she said. “I never claimed to be a cookie-cutter soccer mom. That’s all good for some people. Not for me.”
Aguilera ? who, in previous interviews, has cited her two-year-old son, Max, as an inspiration for the songs on her upcoming Bionic album ? said that she doesn’t think the video is inappropriate, and added that just because she’s a mother, it doesn’t mean that she’s not also an artist, one who deals honestly and frankly with the subject of sexuality.
“[Max] is going to grow up in a household where he knows mommy expresses herself artistically and some of that will have to reflect itself sexually too, at times,” she said. “He’s going to learn to respect the fact that women are allowed to express themselves and not feel shameful about their bodies or their sexuality.”
She added that while Max is already a fan of the songs on Bionic (which is due June 4), he’s not shy about expressing his allegiance to another of his mother’s pop contemporaries.
“He’s really into Rihanna,” Aguilera said. “And he does say ‘Put in mama’s song! Put in mama’s song!’ And then he goes, ‘Go cazy! Go cazy!’ It’s so cute.”

I read a very good critique of this video on EW.com. They’re basically saying that Aguilera is desperate, derivative of both Madonna and Lady Gaga, and completely lacking in originality. As for the song, it doesn’t really stand out but it’s not bad I guess. It’s definitely not sticking in my head like “Express Yourself.”
The worst part about Xtina?s video, beyond the rather unabashed unoriginality of it, is the sad stink of I?ve-been-gone-forever-had-a-baby-and-now-want-to-be-relevant-again desperation. Cue: the girl-on-girl makeout sessions! Text messaging! Fire balls! When watching, there?s wasn?t a moment where I didn?t feel like Aguilera was clawing for relevancy, in a crazy, far beyond, post-Aguilera world. True story: Aguilera has been gone for a long time. There?s a desperate need, sort of like when she blipped back for two seconds with ?Keeps Gettin? Better? a couple years ago, for her to resuscitate her look and build it in the image of what?s relevant now. But maybe she should have gone in a totally different direction to avoid comparisons? Given us something totally different? The thing about Aguilera is that she?s used to zig when everyone else was zagging. And now, it seems like she decided to zag along with everyone else.

So we know who Christina is not, but who is she exactly? She was Dirrrty, she was vampy, and now she’s some kind of wacky empowered dominatrix, just like Madonna and Lady Gaga. I agree, she should go for something different. And she should shut up about how she’s not a soccer mom. There are plenty of us, and we make purchasing decisions for our families and teens.

Lindsay Lohan might not have gone to jail for the DUI she got last year, but not fulfilling the terms of her probation might just do the trick. TMZ says
Judge Marsha Revel made it clear to Lindsay late last year, she must attend alcohol ed courses once every 7 days. The judge was explicit … if Lindsay did not comply with the terms of probation, she was going to jail.
The school in which Lindsay enrolled is required by law to inform the court only if the student is MIA for 21 days. The school has not reported an attendance violation because Lindsay frequently waited until the 21st day to attend classes.
Bottom line — Lindsay met the school’s requirement, but squarely violated the judge’s order.
Naturally, Lindsay doesn’t see it that way. According to the NY Daily News
“Though there have been occasional weeks when Lindsay has missed her alcohol treatment class, she has always managed to make up the class the following week by attending two classes,” her lawyer said. “We contend that Ms. Lohan is in substantial compliance with the conditions of her probation.”
[But] Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel [told Lindsay] in December, “The [alcohol treatment classes] have to be done once a week. Right now the other things will take second place, and this will take first place.”
I’m sure Lindsay was just so busy with not having a job and stealing shit and maxing out her credit cards that she just forgot all about her court-ordered alcohol treatment classes. There’s just so much going on her life right now, bless her heart. She can’t keep burning the candle at both ends like this. Otherwise what will she use as dildo during an impromptu coked-fueled orgy? Nothing, that’s what!

I?ve mentioned before that I don?t really care about British singer/personality Cheryl Cole. I tend to view her as Britain?s Paula Abdul, but apparently she is quite popular and beloved, and she?s riding a wave of sympathy ever since she left her husband Ashley Cole. Even though I don?t care, I did have two Cheryl stories I wanted to share - first of all, these are photos from Cheryl?s appearance on the June issue of Harper?s Bazaar UK. Pretty! I really do like them. Also, Cheryl just sat down for an interview in Hello Magazine where she claims that she keeps in shape because she adheres to the ?Eat Right 4 Your Type? diet. Meaning you should diet according to your blood type. Here?s more:
Since her split from husband Ashley, Cheryl Cole’s slender figure has led to much debate. But it seems her tiny frame isn’t simply down to a broken heart. The 26-year-old has revealed she sticks to Eat Right 4 Your Type diet, in which she eats and avoids specific foods based entirely on her blood type.
In an interview with Hello! today she admitted to watching what she eats.
‘I watch what I eat, not to stay slim but to feel good,’ she said. ‘Recently my mother told me about Eat Right 4 Your Type, in which you’re told what to eat and what to avoid depending on your blood type. It has made such a difference - not so much to my shape, but to how I feel and my energy levels. Before I was like ‘energy schmenergy’ and didn’t believe it. But now I believe it 100 per cent.’
Stars including Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr, Martine Mccutcheon and Sir Cliff Richard have previously admitted to following the plan. And while her fans may be hitting the gym to try and emulate Cheryl’s figure, it seems she doesn’t have to.

Can I make fun of her for this? I really don?t know what to think. My first reaction was ?how stupid? but I?m sure there are people out there who swear by the blood type diet, and maybe there?s even some anecdotal evidence to back it up? But of all the crazy diets that we hear about, I still think the blood type diet seems ridiculous. Also, wasn?t this something that was popular back in the 1970s? Weird.

In what little I’ve seen lately of lovely American actress Andie MacDowell, 52, I’ve found her incredibly down to earth and likable. The last time we reported on her, in October, she was upbeat but realistic about her career as an actress in which she’s no longer in high demand. At that time she was filming two Lifetime movies, and she said that she was just happy to keep working and that she wasn’t picky about roles. She said, “I?m 51 and I have no shame about that whatsoever and I?m really comfortable in my skin… I may not be the lead or I may not get the starring roles that I used to because so many movies revolve around youth, but I refuse to go away because I enjoy it.” It doesn’t hurt that MacDowell, the face of L’Oreal for over 25 years, is strikingly beautiful yet hasn’t had any obvious work done. If she gets Botox or Restylane you can barely tell and it’s just the right amount.
The May issue of Prevention features an interview with MacDowell, and she sounds just as upfront and realistic as she has in the past. MacDowell also reveals her weight! She’s 5?8? tall and 137-138 pounds, which is incredibly fit and healthy without being too skinny. I admire that she gave her exact number, because that requires real confidence. In an industry when women are taught that they have to be super thin, she shows that you can be fit and proud without starving yourself.
When you were a young model, in an industry not known for positive body images, did you ever have problems with weight?
There was a time when someone complained to my agency that I was overweight. It was after I’d been in New York for a few years, and I was trying to figure out how to maintain my weight. I was 132 pounds then, and I’m 5-foot-8 - and still eat healthy and exercise. So I said, “Tell them not to book me. This is the best I can do.” And shortly after, I got Calvin Klein commercials and a movie, so it didn’t stop me.
You still look model weight to me
Right now I’m about 137 to 138 pounds and I feel pretty good about it. Also, as soon as you get older, your face starts o look drawn - that’s why I think I’m better off with those 5 extra pounds.
Do you have a guilty pleasure when it comes to food?
Well, it’s not a guilty thing - I really do think that chocolate is good for you. And it’s better to eat that than to not have anything. That’s when you end up eating too much - when you feel deprived.

It’s so rare for actresses to reveal their actual weights! I can only remember two other actresses doing this recently: Jenny McCarthy (5?6? and 125 pounds) and Kirstie Alley, who did it in a roundabout way through her show and a subsequent appearance on Oprah. (5?7? and 210 pounds a few weeks ago.)
To keep fit, MacDowell says she does all kind of yoga and enjoys hiking and mountain climbing. She says she strives to ask herself “Do I feel healthy because I’m strong? Are my shoulders back? Can I be happy?” I love how she focuses on her health and says that she doesn’t consider chocolate a guilty pleasure! MacDowell should be a real example to certain older celebrities who continue to diet and exercise themselves into oblivion and then try and cover it up with chipmunk cheek implants and injectable fillers - Madonna, I’m looking at you.
