As we?ve discussed, Netflix just released a six-minute preview of the new season of Wednesday. One of my favorite parts of the clip is Wednesday Addams going through security at Newark Airport (who knew how prescient setting a horror show at Newark would end up being, amirite?). After unloading all manner of instruments (weapons) Wednesday has packed to use against the Kansas City Scalper, what is the item TSA agents end up dinging her for? A sunscreen bottle larger than three ounces! As someone who had to surrender my own sunscreen at JFK just a few months ago, the bit spoke to me. This preamble brings us to Ellen Pompeo. The Grey?s Anatomy star just revealed to Travel + Leisure that on a recent flight, TSA agents detained her for an hour while they called in the bomb squad? to inspect her bag of sunflower seeds! What, were they worried she bought them from the same dealer who sold Jack his beanstalk beans?
?I had a bag of sunflower seeds, like organic sunflower seeds from Erewhon, so they were probably the most expensive sunflower seeds money can buy,? she told Travel + Leisure in an interview published May 29. ?They literally held me for an hour, and they brought the bomb squad in.?
And Pompeo couldn?t believe that her seeds?purchased from the upscale Los Angeles grocer known for the Hailey Bieber smoothie?prompted such a serious response.
?And I was like, what is happening? Is this a joke?? she recalled. ?They said it was most likely a chemical on the packaging of these super expensive, fancy, organic, clean sunflower seeds. My protein on the plane!?
Even when the actress offered to throw away the seeds, she said officials needed her to remain put while they investigated the unopened bag.
?I almost missed the flight,? the 55-year-old shared. ?It was really like no one would ever believe this! I was texting my publicist saying, ?I might not get on this plane, and you?re never gonna guess why.??
And while Pompeo?s protein-packed snack certainly set off alarms, it?s not the only time her dedication to her health has sparked controversy.
In fact, she recently recalled that she was once ?so skinny? that ?everyone thought I had an eating disorder.?
?The tabloids would say horrible things,? she told People in February. ?I just remember being so anxious on red carpets, and the comments about my weight and my body.?
?It was a whole situation with how skinny I was, and there was so much negative attention,? she explained. ?Girls today can be gorgeous and thin and thank God we?re not allowed to comment on women?s bodies, even though people do. But I just had so much anxiety and lacked self-esteem because people were so critical of my physicality.?

I know this isn?t the point of the story, but a bag of overpriced organic sunflower seeds was her entire protein for the flight? Dare I say, that is literally eating like a bird! Anyway, I ribbed the TSA agents earlier, but kidding aside, this exact same thing happened to me. Only it wasn?t a bag of sunflower seeds but a big burrito tightly wrapped in tin foil. And I wasn?t detained for an hour while bomb squad came in to assist, but instead had to suffer through the withering gaze of the agents whose facial expressions loudly said, ?Damn lady, that is one big ass burrito.? (It was a cross country flight! I need more protein than Ellen!) I can?t believe they didn?t just let her throw the seeds away like she offered. That seems needlessly crazy on the TSA?s part. Personally, I would sooner sit down in place and eat my burrito than trash it, but I guess that?s the difference between me and Ellen. (Or a burrito and sunflower seeds.)

While she denied it for years, Kylie Jenner began getting cosmetic work in her teens. It wasn?t just lip injections either, although the lip injections were and are some of the most noticeable work. The lip injections were also the only thing Kylie admitted to in interviews. She never ?fessed up to work on her body or whatever they did to her eyes/browline. Well, a TikToker just asked Kylie to explain how she gets her girls? to sit up the way they do. Kylie ended up commenting on the video and explaining the details of her implants.
Kylie Jenner broke down her boob job in exact detail in a TikTok comment Monday after a fan praised her ?most perfect, natural boob job ever.? The social media user asked the makeup mogul, ?Help a girl out @Kylie Jenner, I just want to know how to get them to sit like that, respectfully.?
Jenner, 27, replied, ?445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! Silicone!!!?
According to London?s Centre for Surgery, 445 cc is estimated to be between a D and DD cup depending on the starting breast size. A moderate profile, meanwhile, is meant to appear the most natural.
The ?Keeping Up With the Kardashians? alum went on to provide the name of her Beverly Hills, Calif., doctor, Garth Fisher, in her candid confession. Kourtney Kardashian and Khlo Kardashian have worked with Fisher over the years for a breast augmentation and a cancerous facial tumor removal, respectively. Jenner concluded, ?Hope this helps lol.?
The Kylie Cosmetics creator?s fans raved over her reply, labeling the ?Kardashians? star a ?girls? girl? and a ?queen.?
The Hulu personality has reacted to plastic surgery rumors multiple times over the years, even denying in a September 2015 blog post that she had ever gone under the knife. ?I haven?t gotten breast implants! Everyone is obsessed with that,? she wrote on her website at the time. ?Truth is, as I?ve gotten older, I?ve gained 15 pounds and my body has changed; I?ve definitely filled out.?
The following month, the then-18-year-old tweeted, ?I haven?t done anything except my lips but nobody seems to believe that.?

For what it?s worth, I don?t think Kylie did have implants circa 2015, or if she did, they were smaller. It wouldn?t surprise me at all if she had everything redone after she had her two kids, because I swear, I think her ?girls? look relatively new at this size. The TikToker is right they?re pretty natural looking and they don?t have that hard, bolted-on look. You can still tell that they?re fake though!

Kate Hudson is in the midst of a career resurgence with Netflix?s Running Point. Running Point is the show loosely based on the life and times of Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, and the show is executive produced by Hudson, Buss and Mindy Kaling. It?s having a phenomenal run on Netflix, peaking at #1 and staying in the top-ten most watched shows since its premiere. The partnership between the three women is so cool, and in press, Kate, Mindy and Jeanie all seem to adore each other and enjoy working together. At an event for Running Point last week, Kate revealed something crazy: Mindy was putting the first season together in the last trimester of her third pregnancy. Meaning, Mindy was giving script notes just hours after giving birth.
Mindy Kaling is officially the GOAT ? at least according to Kate Hudson! Hudson, 46, spoke about her immense love for Kaling, 45, while attending an Emmy consideration event for their Netflix show Running Point on Friday, May 30, at the UCLA Lakers Training Center in Los Angeles.
?I have to say, Ive fallen in love with this woman,? Hudson said of Kaling, who co-created and executive-produced the show. ?And shes just not only so brilliant, but so trusting ? she puts the best team together,? she said.
?And she was pregnant,? she continued. ?We had a script, like our first table read. Shes on Zoom. She then has the baby and is sending notes like an hour after she has the baby. I was like, ?Isn?t Mindy literally in labor?? ?
?She is a powerhouse and delivers what she says shes going to deliver,? Hudson continued.
Kaling, who quietly welcomed her third baby in February of 2024, created the show with Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen.

It?s crazy that Mindy was working as she was giving birth, and it?s crazy that Kate was one of the few people to even know that Mindy was pregnant. Mindy?s pregnancies have been so secretive and most people didn?t even know she was pregnant again in 2023-24. Anyway, I haven?t actually watched Running Point yet but I will give it a shot. Netflix already greenlighted a second season, and I bet they try to put everything together pretty quickly, given the interest in and love for this series.
