Following news that she’s taking a break from Brown University to “focus on work”, it was announced that Emma Watson is the new face of Lancome. Says E! Online,
“Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation. We are delighted by this new collaboration with Emma who brings a fresh spirit to Lancme,” said company president Youcef Nabi in a statement today.
Who needs boring ol’ book-learnin’ when you can hawk over-priced makeup and get paid big bucks to do it? Nothing says “modernity” than tossing aside education in pursuit of more money than you know what to do with. It’s the new American dream.

Clearly on the cutting edge when it comes to fashion, it come ass no surprise that Mary-Kate's new rumored beau is a shoe designer named Seth Campbell, according to US Magazine.
A source close to the pair told Us, "Their relationship is fairly new. They've been able to have a few dates on the down low. He's a downtown kind of guy, likes to party every now and then."
MK split from boyfriend Nate Lowman last winter after two years of dating, but things seem to be going well with Campbell, who is said to be adjusting to the spotlight that comes with dating an Olsen twin.

Just eight months after the birth of her son Archie, model Danielle Lloyd is pregnant with her second child.
The celebrity "Big Brother" star and her footballer fiance Jamie O'Hara are expecting a sibling for their son in August.
Danielle has said that she had a cyst removed last year, so she expected she would have reduced fertility, but got the surprise of a lifetime by telling this week's OK! magazine: "I was pregnant within a month (of having my coil removed due to the cyst). I was shocked.If you have a cyst it's very hard to conceive. I must be the most fertile person in the country."
Jamie also commented, insisting he wanted a big family, joking: "Let's get them all out. I want four or five - but that would mean swapping the car for a bus."

Looking Parisian chic in lace shorts, a white shirt and black tie, Emma's new ad spot for her employer is being shot by the renowned photographer Mario Testino in various locales throughout the French capital city.
Prior to her official appointment to the Lancome gig, Miss Watson teasingly tweeted, "It starts with an L and ends with an E. I?m sure you have guessed the new face of Lancme is me!"

Oh, Katie. Just say no, girl. These are photos of our beloved robot, Katie Holmes, looking zonked out, staring at the pavement like it holds the secret to Xenu. Katie?s wearing these pleather leggings that seem to be everywhere these days. I recently saw Kim Kardashian in a strikingly similar pair, which were being stretched beyond their man-made capabalities. Now, Katie isn?t ?thick? like Kim, but her legs are definitely not her strongest feature. I?m not saying that to be cruel or anything - my legs aren?t my best feature either, and Katie?s legs are in better shape than mine. This is just not a flattering look for her, though.
I think Katie?s most consistent styling problem is that in her own mind, she?s a trendsetter, and a follower of whatever is hip or current in fashion right now. Add to that the little fact of Katie not realizing that she doesn?t have the figure to pull off every trend (no one does), and you?ve got Katie?s train wreck style. I wish I could talk to Katie and tell her what to wear. Like, ?Emphasize the length of your legs, but don?t focus on the shape of your legs. Straight-cut and boot-cut trousers for you, or skirts cut just above the knee, with high heels. And no leggings, for the love of God.?
Two more things: first, I LOVE that Katie is in New York, with Suri, doing her own thing away from Tom. Tom is God knows where, I think maybe Canada? Filming Mission Impossible? Probably. Also: Suri does not have her own personal assistant. Just FYI.

On the family end of things, Miss Holmes' rep recently spoke out to dismiss tabloid reports claiming that she and husband Tom Cruise's daughter Suri has a personal assistant.
The spokesperson told Gossip Cop that the assistant claims are completely untrue after HollywoodLife reported that a security staffer of Katie's was actually a sole errand runner for little Suri.

As we previewed last week, Rihanna is the April cover girl for Vogue Magazine. Here are some additional shots from her Annie Leibovitz pictorial. Too many closeups for my taste, and too little fashion. Also, this seems like a very un-Leibovitz shoot. It reads more like Mario Testino, which is odd. Anyway, in the cover shot, Rihanna is wearing Chanel. I still like the dress - it?s just Rihanna?s awkward body language that bugs. Anyway, there aren?t a ton of excerpts from her interview yet, but here is a little bit:
Rihanna has been hurt before, but this time it was by someone she has known all her life. The singing sensation shares how her relationship with her father fell apart after he sold her out to the media.
In the April issue of Vogue, the 23-year-old superstar reveals that her dad Ronald Fenty recently exposed her dirty laundry to the tabloids and gave them the rights to some of her childhood photos.
?It really makes me question what I have become to my father. Like, what do I even mean to him?? a tearful Rihanna told the magazine. ?It?s really strange. That?s the only word I can think of to describe it, because you grow up with your father, you know him, you are a part of him, for goodness? sakes! And then he does something so bizarre that I can?t begin to wrap my mind around it. You hear the horror stories about people going behind people?s backs and doing strange things, but you always think, Not my family. My father would never do that to me.?
While she has a hard time grasping his motive, this is not the first time he has betrayed her. After Chris Brown assaulted her two years ago, Fenty called up the media to offer his two cents.
?That was the first time,? she continued. ?My dad went to the press and just told them a bunch of lies. Because he hadn?t talked to me after?that whole thing?. He never called to find out how I was doing, if I was alive, nothing. He just never called. He went straight to the press and got a check. And now he does it again.?
But after several attempts, RiRi is done trying to mend the broken relationship. ?Now I?m like, Whatever, I tried.?

I?ve always been pretty ?meh? about Vanessa Hudgens, but her recent penchant for doing photo shoots in her underwear is a disturbing trend. We get it, V-Hud. You?re all grown up. Now put on some pants. Anyway, V-Hud is the cover girl for the April Shape Magazine, and I have no idea if she?s wearing panties and a bra, or if this is a bikini. I guess it doesn?t matter. While I think she?s got a cute figure, her face on the cover is? odd. Anyway, here are some excerpts from her interview:
Vanessa Hudgens admits distance doesn’t always make the heart grow fonder. A major factor leading to her split from longtime love Zac Efron last December was the pair’s packed work schedules, which took them to opposite ends of the Earth at times.
“Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what,” Hudgens tells the April issue of Shape, out March 21.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t an app for that, says Hudgens, 22.
“When you don’t have face-to-face time, it’s just different. Having an iPhone helped, but it wasn’t the same.”
Although it’s over, the relationship remains a significant one in her life.
“We grew up together,” Hudgens says. “It was nice to have someone to share all of those experiences with.” She adds of Efron, who visited her (as a friend) on the set of her new movie, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, “It was a good thing. The relationship kept me grounded, and because I was with someone who knew me so well, I didn?t need to try to be someone I’m not.”
The good news: The break-up left her virtually unscathed ? and ready to get back out there.
“I hope by the time I’m 30 to have a husband and maybe a baby,” she reveals. “I love children. They’re so much fun, and I would have a blast spoiling them!”

V-Hud and Zac Efron are still spending time together, so I guess they?re still friends. Friends with benefits, perhaps. Or maybe Vanessa just loves him like her best gay friend, the one she helpfully ignores when he?s holding hands with a good-looking dude at an industry party. Vanessa and Zac totally go home together and analyze which boys were the cutest at the party.

Courteney Cox takes the cover of the April issue of Harper?s Bazaar. I absolutely HATE the Terry Richardson cover shoot, but some of it isn?t the old pervert?s fault. Courteney?s face, which was once beautiful, is now completely and totally jacked to the point of absurdity. She?s so chock full of fillers and Botox, she looks like a puffy, wax figure. Ugh.
Anyway, in the cover interview excerpts, Courtney is trying to convince us that she didn?t split up with David Arquette specifically for her rumored jumpoff Brian Van Holt. Good one, Court.
On if she’s looking for love:
“The thing is, when you get older, it’s more about compatibility than it is about love … I have no desire right now [to date]. I’m not saying never. It just seems weird. I don’t even know how that would happen or how you meet people. I don’t like to go out. I’m not great at small talk ? I don’t like to go to parties?There’s a sign on my forehead: exiting social life, entering into isolation.”
On her public split from David Arquette:
“I think every relationship has a point where you stop and reevaluate. Are you happy? Have you grown together or apart? What do you share interests in? I think that’s a normal thing to do, but it’s so much harder when it’s done publicly.”
On David’s famous Howard Stern interview:
“If you didn’t hear the Howard Stern interview and you just read quotes, I’m sure it seemed out of context, crazy. Most guys aren’t mature, are they? I’m not saying there wasn’t some crazy behavior, but if you know who David is, you know what his intentions are, how honest he is, and how big his heart is. You can’t really get mad at David because he’s not a malicious person. He’s not out to harm. But I’m his biggest protector. I can’t help it.”
On how their daughter CoCo is taking the split:
“She’s adjusting. Luckily, we’ve always had two houses so there was no change in her living unit. And we both work a lot, so that wasn’t a huge adjustment. She’s our number-one priority. No matter what happens, she’ll be okay because she knows that she is completely safe, loved, and we’ll protect that more than anything in the world.”
On reprising her role in “Scream”:
“It was where David and I fell in love, so it’s a very special thing we get to keep doing.”
On being a self-titled cougar:
“I thought I had always been a little bit of a cougar with David. I don’t find the whole cougar word that offensive. And also, a cougar is someone who takes care of herself and goes out with younger guys. She doesn’t need a man to take care of her.”

Well, Courteney isn?t anywhere near as nauseating as Eva Longoria?s big Aniston-esque failure on Allure, but Court still has issues. I?ve said this before, and I?ll say it again: I think Courteney?s divorce didn?t play out the way she was expecting AT ALL. I think she genuinely thought and hoped that David would get (and would take) much of the ?blame? for the split, and that people would attack him as immature and crazy. Then, Courteney would re-enter public life with her jumpoff-turned-new love, Brian Van Holt, and no one would bat an eye. But David had such a public breakdown, and then he was the one who ended up going on Oprah. So? at the end of the day, I don?t think Courteney is being completely honest with us, but I give her credit for sticking by David emotionally and for not bad-mouthing him or publicly blaming him.

That was fast. No sooner did Emma Watson drop out of college ?take a break? from college and announce her new big career move, a modeling gig for Lancome, then she flies to Paris to shoot the new ads. Why the rush? Usually when someone new is announced as the ?face? of a product, it takes a few months for the new ads to be shot. This is one of the fastest turn-arounds I?ve ever witnessed.
Regarding yesterday?s post announcing Emma?s new gig, a lot of you yelled at me for various reasons. While I maintain that Emma is more cute than beautiful (and that she looks much better when her hair is slicked back), and that she?s much, much too young to be representing a beauty brand, I will admit that perhaps I was a bit too harsh about her ?taking a break? from college. Quite honestly, Emma announcement, mid-semester, that she was taking a break really, really bothered me. I took my higher education seriously (sort of), and I?m proud of my bachelor?s degree. I honestly think there should be more young, celebrity women and men who take time out of their careers to prioritize education. Maybe Emma will return to Brown? but I seriously doubt it. I think a year from now, Emma is going to announce that she?s decided not to return, and all of those little girls who grew up with Emma through Harry Potter will get the message loud and clear: education is disposable, clubbing with Harvey Weinstein is more important. Not to mention the obvious choice Emma is making in these photos - night shoot in Paris for a beauty products is much more important to her than mid-terms.

She has ended her marriage with ex-husband David Arquette, but that doesn?t mean Courteney Cox is looking to score a hot date.
In the April 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar, the ?Cougar Town? chick confessed that she?s not interested in putting herself out on the market.
"I have no desire right now. I'm not saying never; it just seems weird. I don't even know how that would happen or how you meet people. I don't like to go out. I'm not great at small talk ? I don't like to go to parties."
Instead, Courteney says she and Arquette are focusing on their daughter Coco. "She's our No. 1 priority. No matter what happens, she'll be okay because she knows that she is completely safe, loved, and we'll protect that more than anything in the world."

The Playboy beauty clasped onto a large shamrock balloon while decked out in a neon thong bikini as she gears up for the St. Patrick's day holiday.
Meanwhile, Miss Shannon joined in with the many celebrities sending well-wishes to all of those recovering from the devastating earthquake/tsunami in Japan.
Of the catastrophic event, the blonde beauty tweeted, "My heart goes out to the Japanese ppl. God bless them in this extremely hard time."

Eva Longoria just can?t get anyone interested in her post-divorce exclusive tell-all interview. There were rumors that she was supposed to get a full People Magazine cover at one point, but I think her ?exclusive? just ended up on some sidebar. And now she?s trying to do a big, splashy post-split magazine piece? only Vanity Fair wouldn?t take her calls, I guess. So she ended up the April cover girl for Allure. Which? honestly, isn?t so bad. It totally could have been worse. She could be giving her story to Steppin? Out Magazine.
Regarding the cover shoot - eh. I?m still focused on what is different with her face, because I think something?s off. I think she had some ?breakup Botox? or something. On how women have helped her through her divorce:
“You know, some people collect plates and stamps and coins. I collect people; I collect amazing, smart, interesting women.”
On her life post-divorce:
“I’m kind of having to find new patterns because I’m not used to having … I’m used to always being on a plane and flying to a basketball game? It’s been … every time I talk about it, I want to cry. It’s been hard. Very hard. I’m just trying to get through it as gracefully as possible without any drama.”
On her next phase in life:
“I’m in a transition stage, settling into a new routine, and I welcome it.”

“My first job ever was at Wendy’s. I still remember the order to put things on the burger: mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, onions, tomato, lettuce, mustard. Would you like some fries with that?”

It?s like she?s trying to borrow heavily from The Post-Split Aniston Handbook, but Eva doesn?t realize that NO ONE gives a crap, and we never really did. Eva says, ?I’m just trying to get through it as gracefully as possible without any drama.” No, you?re trying to build up drama because that?s what you are: a drama queen famewhore who would sell your mother if it got you the cover of a better magazine.
Oh, and No-Drama Longoria was making out with Eduardo Cruz for the paparazzi yesterday. It?s like the third ?accidental? public makeout session they?ve had this week.

Taking in an evening of sport, Vanessa Hudgens was spotted at the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Orlando Magic basketball game last night (March 14).
Joined by gal pal Emily Browning, the ?Beastly? actress looked to be in great spirits as she watched the Lakers beat the Magic 97-84 from her primo seats at the Staples Center.
In her interview with Shape magazine, Vanessa explained that her high-profile relationship with Zac Efron helped her deal with her newfound fame.
"The relationship kept me grounded. And because I was with someone who knew me so well, I didn't need to try to be someone that I'm not."
"We grew up together. It was nice to have someone share all those experiences with. It was a good thing."

Quickly getting to work upon being officially named as the brand's new face, Emma Watson was busy shooting ads for Lancome in Paris, France on Monday evening (March 14).
The "Harry Potter" hottie kept herself hydrated with a bottled water as she interacted with famed photographer Mario Testino during the City of Lights photo session.
Breaking the news of Emma's appointment earlier in the day, Youcef Nabi, Lancome International honcho, told press, ?Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation.?
He continued, ?We are delighted by this new collaboration with Emma, who brings a fresh spirit to Lancome.?

Having flown into the Big Apple the previous day, Selena Gomez made her grand arrival at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City on Monday afternoon (March 14).
Promoting her new music, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" darling was on-hand to tape an appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman" - with the episode set to air on Wednesday, March 16th at 11:30PM on CBS.
The "Late Show" visit comes just as it was announced that Miss Gomez has a little something special planned for fans who attend her upcoming summer concert tour.
The 18-year-old told On Air with Ryan Seacrest, "I want it to be a like a big rave - a G-rated rave! I want it to feel like a party. I'm going to do different covers and I just want it to be really fun? We're going to do a Britney tribute - a mash-up - so I'm very excited!"
Reminiscing about her first-ever Spears concert, Selena told, "We were in the nosebleeds with my cousin. I got the T-shirt and glowstick and I just remember it being the highlight of my life! I felt like I was on cloud nine!"
