Reboot alert! Because everything old is new again, The Princess Diaries is coming back for a third go-round. In a video posted to Instagram over the weekend, Anne Hathaway announced that she is set to return as Mia Thermopolis. So far, there?s no official word on whether or not Julie Andrews or Chris Pine will be reprising their roles as the Queen of Genova or Nicholas Devereaux, but in the past, both Sandra Oh and Mandy Moore have said they?d be game to return. The first two movies, which came out in 2001 and 2004, were directed by the late Garry Marshall. The third movie will be directed by Adele Lim, who previously directed Joy Ride and who?s writing credits include Disney?s delightful Raya and the Last Dragon and Crazy Rich Asians.
Adele Lim is returning to work with Disney as director of the third installment of its prized Princess Diaries franchise. It?s the second time Lim will be behind the camera after writing Disney?s animated 2021 movie, Raya and the Last Dragon. Lim made her directorial debut with the raunchy Lionsgate R-rated female Asian American comedy Joy Ride.
Debra Martin Chase is producing Princess Diaries 3. EPs include Lim?s producing partner Naia Cucukov and Melissa Stack. Flora Greeson is writing the screenplay.
Disney launched The Princess Diaries in 2001, catapulting Anne Hathaway into a marquee name at the box office. There was also a 2004 sequel, The Princess Diaries: Royal Engagement. Both also starred Julie Andrews and were directed by the late Garry Marshall. Together both pics grossed $300M WW. The first movie followed Hathaway?s Mia Thermopolis, who learns she?s the heir apparent to the throne of Genovia. She takes her friends Lilly and Michael Moscovitz along for the ride as she tries to navigate through teenagedom.
Lim tells us: ?As a diehard fan of the original Princess Diaries, I?m beyond excited to be a part of bringing the third iteration of this beloved franchise to life. We look forward to celebrating its core tenants of female power, joy and mentorship with audiences worldwide.?
Lim?s credits include being a writer-producer on such TV shows as One Tree Hill and Lethal Weapon, as well as being the co-showrunner on the CW series Star-Crossed.
She wrote Warner Bros.? blockbuster Jon Chu-directed rom-com Crazy Rich Asians, which grossed $174M stateside and picked up nominations for Best Picture at the Golden Globes and Producers Guild Awards and won the Critics Choice Award.
Last year Lim partnered with Naia Cucukov to form the production company 100 Tigers. Cucukov was a former Walden Media senior executive who?s credits include the Netflix series The Baby-Sitters Club and Manhunt. The mission for the company is to ?foster and empower artists and projects that share our passion for female-forward, cross-cultural stories with global appeal and a glossy edge.? 100 Tigers has several projects in development at various studios including Amazon/MGM, HBO Max and ABC.
Lim is repped by Paradigm and Ginsburg, Daniels, Kallis. Chase is repped by CAA and Del Shaw Moonves. Cucukov is repped by Paradigm and Sean Marks. Stack is represented by CAA and Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment. Greeson is repped by Kaplan/Perrone and UTA.

I admit, The Princess Diaries is one that never even pinged on my radar of movies they could bring back. It?s kind of hard to believe that it?s *only* been 20 years since the second movie came out in theaters. It feels like so much longer for some reason. I loved the first two movies back in the day, but I don?t know if we need another Princess Diaries movie. That said, I?m a big fan of a lot of Lim?s work and think she?s a great choice for this project. I?m curious to know more about it as it develops. (Right now, theres a script, but no other details.) It sounds like Best Chris (Pine) is game to return, too. When asked about the possibility of ever coming back for a third movie, he told Entertainment Tonight last year, Im here for it. Give me ? give me a phone call or an email.? If Best Chris is here for it, then let?s face it, I?m probably gonna be here for it too.

Is Melania Trump?s book promotion getting wider attention outside of the conservative-media bubble? I think she is, although she absolutely would have gotten more attention if she released this stupid memoir months ago and not in the last weeks of an election where her unhinged husband is trying to end democracy. Speaking of, Melania includes a section about the 2020 election in her book. Would you believe that this Birther-conspiracy ahole also believes that the 2020 election was ?stolen? from her husband? Yeah, that sounds about right.
Melania Trump is fully on board with her husband?s 2020 election denial, her new memoir reveals. The famously taciturn wife of former President Donald Trump rarely opines about politics. But in her book, Melania, scheduled to be released Tuesday, the former first lady suggests the 2020 election was stolen.
Looking back on her husband?s last presidential campaign, Melania writes that she was optimistic about his chances, ?but the media, Big Tech, and the deep state were all determined to prevent Donald?s re-election, by any means necessary. With all these enemies aligned, I worried the election would be unfair,? she recalls.
On election night, she writes, she and her son Barron watched returns roll in from her room in the White House. Her husband would pop in between phone calls. Things seemed to be going well?until Fox News projected that Joe Biden would win Arizona.
?I couldn?t believe it,? Melania writes. ?How could they call it so early before all the votes were counted? It was another sign that this was not a normal election.?
That call enflamed the right, with Trump?s team insisting it was grossly premature. Fox expressed confidence in its projection, which turned out to be correct. But that wasn?t the only news that raised red flags for the first lady, according to her book, a copy of which was reviewed by the Daily Beast ahead of publication.
?Soon, the media reported that due to the way different states counted mail-in ballots and the various mail-in deadlines, the results would not be clear for several days,? she recounts. ?At this point, everything was called into question for me.?
Her views expressed in the book are in line with the MAGA mantra that a combination of voter fraud, rigged voting machines and Democratic malfeasance stole a presidential term that was rightfully his. These claims have been repeatedly disproven. But not to Melania. She sides with Trump supporters who don?t buy that clear evidence.
?Many Americans still have doubts about the election to this day,? she writes. ?I am not the only person who questions the results.? She recalls the tumultuous days after the election ?with suspicious voting activity being reported all across the country.? While it?s true that there were some potential cases of voter fraud in battleground states, those numbered just a few hundred, according to an AP News review?too few to actually swing the election.

The most notable instances of voter fraud and election malfeasance came from MAGA Republicans like Arizonan Loraine Pellegrino (convicted in fake-elector scheme), Colorado county clerk Tina Peters (just sentenced to nine years in prison), and everyone involved in the catastrophe in Georgia, which is still being prosecuted and adjudicated. Not to mention, Melania?s husband incited a deadly insurrection to overturn the results of a free and fair election. This bitch is dumb as hell, as are all people crying about mail-in ballots.

Kanye West married Bianca Censori in December 2022, just one month after his divorce from Kim Kardashian was finalized. Kanye was the one holding up the divorce from Kim she filed in February 2021, after previewing her strategy and her ?I?m over this marriage? energy for months. He fought it, he kept firing his lawyers, he kept trying to stay married to Kim. Until finally, he decided to make Bianca into his Kim replacement. Bianca was? compliant? She?s a grown woman and I don?t want to take away her agency, but the whole thing was deeply uncomfortable. Bianca and Kanye?s marriage gives off cult vibes and it definitely feels like Kanye has publicly used her as as a ?doll? to get back at Kim (who does not give a sh-t). In any case, it took less than two years for this marriage to fall apart. Quelle surprise.
Kanye West and Bianca Censori are possibly headed for divorce TMZ has learned the couple has hit a rough patch in their almost 2-year marriage.
Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ Ye and Bianca have been telling people around them they split up a few weeks ago, with the Yeezy architect heading down to Australia to spend time with her family since the split.
While theres no word on what prompted the split or who pulled the plug on the relationship, were told Ye has been telling people close to him he plans to live in Tokyo and divorce Bianca. The rapper was spotted flying solo in the Japanese capital on more than one occasion. As TMZ previously reported KW was seen enjoying a meal at a local Jamaican restaurant with Bianca nowhere in sight.
Prior to this excursion, Ye stepped out for an evening of wrestling at the end of September where he was seen fist-bumping wrestler La Dinastia Wagner from the crowd. Again, Ye was without Bianca which was odd for the usually inseparable duo. The couple was last seen photographed on Sept. 20 when Bianca wore her signature nearly-naked style for a shopping spree with Ye.

There were rumors nearly a year ago that Bianca and Kanye had quietly separated, as well as rumors that her family was worried about her as she wandered around, dead-eyed and mostly naked. But they were back together soon enough and they spent most of this year, doing the same kind of sh-t. The best possible scenario is actually if Kanye simply lost interest and allows Bianca to move on with her life without him. It?s not like she?ll walk away with much Kanye?s businesses have collapsed and I doubt he has much money saved. It?s not like Bianca can walk away with her dignity either that ship sailed long ago. I do wish her well though I hope that she heals and surrounds herself with people who actually care about her.

Chris Pine is currently promoting his? children?s book?? Did y?all know that he wrote a children?s book? It?s called When Digz the Dog Met Zurl the Squirrel. It?s worth noting that Pine actually has a BA in English from UC Berkeley. Like, the man loves to write and he?s reportedly a huge reader. It just feels like Pine?s career is a lot weirder than it should be. He should be a full-fledged movie star with tons of A-list films on his CV. I get that he?s quirky and maybe he prefers smaller films, but still. I never would have thought that a guy who looks like Chris Pine would turn to writing children?s books. Anyway, that?s why he covered last weekend?s issue of Parade Magazine. Some highlights from Parade:
On starting his acting career: ?I had blinders on once I realized after college that acting was what I was going to do. I had no room for doubt; I was just going to do it. Its odd that I never thought about a world where it wasnt going to work out. And I really didnt fk around in my 20s. There wasnt a lot of going to parties and having a good time. I was like, Ill do it.
On his first onscreen credit as a patient on the TV show, ER: ?I think I was ?drunk fraternity boy.? I might have had a name. There was something very romantic about the Warner Bros. studio in Los Angeles. On the ER soundstage they built this huge emergency room where the cameras are following characters going in and out. Its exciting when youre a young actor and youre going to work with Maura Tierney and Sally Field.
On being on camera: ?It took me a long time not to be self-conscious and terrified. I dont know if theres any acting school that can really prepare you for the permutations of set life. It?s a really bizarre thing to do.
A career highlight: ?The first day on set for the first Star Trek movie. It was my first humongous movie, and we were on a soundstage on the Paramount lot. I come from a Hollywood family, so to be on a soundstage on a Hollywood lot was like everything that I dreamed about. Being on the ridge and looking out was definitely an out-of-body moment.
On why he wrote this book (during the pandemic): ?I dont have kids, but I have a dog and Im in love with my dog. And I do have a deep love for stories, for literature and for books I grew up with. My mother and father would tell me stories before going to bed. And obviously Im an actor, and Ive written and directed and produced, so storytelling is kind of in my blood.?
On the message of his book: ?What if the frustration and the anger that these two animals seem to have toward one another comes from a place of their own vulnerability and their own sense of being deficient? Why is a bully a bully? Probably because something happened to the bully, and maybe if you understood what happened to the bully, you can repair relationships and move on with love.
On his car collection: ?I have an obsession with European cars of the mid-20th century. A Tesla is like the world?s largest iPad. It?s more romantic to get in a car that youre not sure is going to start or it takes 10 minutes to warm up before you drive it.

?A Tesla is like the world?s largest iPad.? Seriously. And the Cybertruck is hideous and dangerous at every level. I also love mid-century cars, but even more than that, I love American metal from the ?60s and ?70s. There?s a very real nostalgia and modern need for things which are not ?smart,? which do not operate through a phone or ipad or through the internet. ?Dumb? refrigerators or HVAC or cars are making a comeback. As for writing this book during the pandemic? that?s sort of cool. It was probably his little project to keep himself sane. I wonder if he?ll do it as a series if the book is successful.

On Thursday, Glamour magazine revealed their ?Women of the Year? cover. This year?s theme is ?The Moms,? and features Donna Kelce (Travis and Jason Kelce), Maggie Baird (Billie Eilish and Finneas), Mandy Teefey (Selena Gomez) and Tina Knowles (duh; Beyonc and Solange). You can read the full article here. In conjunction with the cover reveal, Glamour also released a 25-minute video of these famous moms talking with Glamour?s Editor-in-Chief, Samantha Barry. In the video, they chat about motherhood, having famous kids, trying to keep their famous children grounded, being recognized by themselves, and more.
When asked about what ?normal thing? they miss being able to do with their kids, Tina spoke about how much she misses just being able to go the mall with her daughters and Mandy talked about Disneyland. Donna brought up how the Kelce family ?can?t go anywhere? anymore. She also said that although they?ve managed to keep some places on the downlow, at this point, they basically have to ?rent out? any restaurant or movie theater in order to be able to do something together as a family in private.
Still, when the mom to NFL superstars Travis Kelce?who has been dating Taylor Swift since 2023?and Jason Kelce is spending time with her sons, she admits it can be difficult to find privacy.
?We can?t go anywhere really,? Donna said in a conversation with Tina Knowles, Mandy Teefey and Maggie Baird for Glamour published Oct. 3. ?If we want to do something, you have to rent out the restaurant or movie theater or whatever. I do get to sneak away every once in a while, and we go to places that nobody knows where they are.?
However, in comparison to the mothers of Beyonc and Solange Knowles, Selena Gomez and Billie Eilish and Finneas, Donna?who shares Jason and Travis with ex Ed Kelce?appreciates she got to experience more normalcy with her kids.
?I think you just bring things up that they did when they were children to just show them that they?re like everybody else?how many broken windows there were, how many times I had a call from the neighbor,? she explained of how their normal foundation supports her sons? growing fame. ?They were very rambunctious.?
Donna continued, ?I think it?s just bringing them back to their childhood?what they?re most grateful for and where they were able to have a platform to grow.?
And while she may not get to spend time with her sons in public like she used to, Donna is able to see a more normal side of the NFL players behind closed doors, especially when it comes to seeing Jason be a dad to daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 20 months, whom he shares with wife Kylie Kelce.
?Watching your son be a father is just like, ?How can they be so tender and be such a maniac out on the field??? Donna added. ?Travis is a good uncle, and Jason?s a great dad, and it?s just very heartwarming to know that they have that within them to be very nurturing, very kind, very gentle?especially with girls.?

One thing that Donna also points out during that same conversation is that it?s especially difficult to fly under the radar because they?re all so tall that even while trying to blend in, they?re hard to miss. I can imagine just how much whiplash the Kelces have gotten over the past year. I know that Donna has been famous in the NFL community for years, but it was not on the same playing field as the attention that they?re all getting right now. I wonder if they ever get overwhelmed and wonder if life will ever go back to a more ?normal? level of fame. Jason and Kylie have said in the past that they?ve begun setting boundaries when it comes to their young daughters? privacy.
As for the full video, it?s a really charming conversation! All four women give great answers and it?s pretty interesting to get each ones perspective. Even if you don?t watch it all in one sitting, I definitely recommend watching as much of it as you can. It?s always going to be neat to hear Tina tell stories about a young Beyonce and Solange. Maggie seems like a pretty badass lady, but I?d expect nothing less. I also cannot get over how much Selena Gomez looks like her mom. It?s uncanny.
