| Emilia Clarke: 'We don't look at grief properly, your perspective on life changes forever' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Whenever I see Emilia Clarke I think about how she so expertly told the story of her brain hemorrhages. She had two in between seasons of Game of Thrones, she easily could have died, and she had grueling recoveries with each. We never knew about it until she told her story, in her own words, in the most matter-of-fact yet compelling way. She has this sunny disposition and outlook that comes through in everything she does yet her writing was so crisp, well-told and didn?t veer toward syrupy optimism or maudlin navel-gazing. I was so impressed with how she framed that, and how she handled that period of her life. She then founded a charity to help other young people going through neurological disorders. Emilia does not get enough credit for that, because she?s just a wonderful person and doesn?t give us much to gossip about. That?s what came to mind when I read her interview with The Guardian. She?s still out there promoting Last Christmas, that weird romcom she?s in with Henry Golding. This interview is so damn deep that its hard to talk about, but Im going to try.
How her brain hemorrhage helped her perspective on life
?And yes, I?m at the point where I definitely think of the brain haemorrhage as a good thing Because I was never destined to be the ?young actor goes off the rails? type, up and down the gossip columns. And having a brain haemorrhage that coincided precisely with the beginning of my career and the beginning of a show that became something quite meaty, it gave me a perspective that I wouldn?t have had otherwise. I?m quite a resilient human being, so a parent dying and brain haemorrhages coinciding with success and people following you in the street and getting stalkers ? you?re just, like, ?Well let?s try and make something sensible of it?
?It was nerve-racking to share it, to be honest. It always is, when you make yourself vulnerable.? She waited so long to talk about it, because, ?I didn?t want people to think of me as? sick.?
She had brain hemorrhages in 2011 and 2013 and then lost her dad in 2016
?I finally got this feeling. As if, on a cellular level, I?d grown up. And it?s so bittersweet, because I was clinging on to that childlike optimism. Then, when I finally let it go, I realised that was actually quite a heavy backpack to be wearing. I felt like that at the Emmys, too, finally popping my head up from the bunker. It?s as if you can see the actual landscape that you?ve been living in this entire time from another perspective
?It can be perceived as such a feminine trait, can?t it ? the responsibility to ?put a smile on it?. And, and you feel like it?s a defeat if you give in and admit, ?Maybe it?s not going to be OK in the end.? But then, if you do, then you have an opportunity to go? ?and what if that?s all right?? Death is shit It?s really hard and grief is horrific, and yet it is completely and utterly guaranteed. No matter how much Silicon Valley boys want to prove to everyone it?s not. But the finality of death, the absolute certainty of it, I?ve realised, is such a tonic.?
?We don?t look at grief properly. I?m not talking about the random moments of completely overwhelming emotion, I?m pretty in control of that? there was only one time on set where I just physically couldn?t stop crying. It?s the other stuff that we don?t discuss ? the functional grief; when your worldview and your perspective on life and yourself changes irrevocably, forever.?
How she deals with grief
?By realising that there is a framework that life lives within, and knowing when you reach the edges of it. There?s that. And I try to use the shit feelings as opposed to just ?breathing through it?. It?s like putting my plastic in the recycling bin ? it might not do anything, but I should at least try. And then being an actor and having a production company, knowing that the greater understanding I have about life, the greater storyteller I can be. As an actor, you?re always observing ? no matter what trauma you?re going through, there?s a wee bit of your brain that?s like, ?Isn?t this fascinating???
She had many stalkers
Clarke was catapulted to extreme fame during a period when she nearly lost her mind. She started to find gifts outside her door, from one of many stalkers. One, she says, is extremely unwell, another extremely mean. ?The stalker stuff is just horrible because, as a single lady walking around town, I already feel like I?m being followed.?
These stalkers believe they?re having a relationship with her, ?which is confusing, because having a relationship with people I don?t know is a big part of what I signed up for. I care about what art does to people. But it carries with it a responsibility, and when you leave your front door you take that with you. And it?s a difficult path to navigate. Because sometimes,? and she?s talking about fans now, the line between the two often being blurred, ?you get grabbed physically and your instincts kick in. When you see shock being registered on someone else?s face, you?re like, ?Where?s the danger?? And then you realise, oh, it?s me ? I?m the danger.?
[From The Guardian]
That interview was amazing and I got teary at times. I like how she described how her entire worldview changed through these incredibly difficult events. Shes so matter-of-fact about the worst events of her life and about how she dealt with them. She worked through it, and realized her optimism was a kind of naivete that she needed to shed. She then came to the conclusion that she may as well hold on to it because the finality of life is funny too. Emilia has multiple horrible stalkers and thats got to be so scary yet she talks about it in a detached way that focuses on how her reactions affect her fans. She said, in a way, that going through these awful things has helped her become a better actress. I just admire her and this profile cemented that.

| Duchess Kate says Prince Louis is talking & 'he wants to come everywhere with me' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I still say that the Duchess of Cambridge looked super-cute at her Christmas tree event yesterday. I so rarely want to own anything from Kate?s outfits, but I would love that sweater and that puffer coat. Both are cute as hell. The jeans though? lord. I sometimes confuse skinny jeans with jeggings based on the fit and the stretch of the material. Kate has many pairs of skinny jeans which have more ?give,? but these totally look painted-on and stretchy as hell, so excuse me for thinking they were more on the jeggings side of the equation. Anyway, I mostly just wanted to write some more about these photos because Kate looked cute.
Kate also spent a lot of time chatting with the kids and helping them pick out Christmas trees for their families, and write letters to Santa. At one point, Kate complimented a little girl on her crimped/wavy hair and asked how the girl achieved the look. The girl told Kate that she puts her hair in braids at night and Kate said she might try it. She also chatted about Prince Louis:
Kate Middleton?s little prince is growing up fast! The royal mom spent Wednesday at Peterley Manor Farm helping young children pick out Christmastrees for their classrooms ? and one little boy, who held her hand up saying ?me, me!? reminded her of Prince Louis. She also revealed that her 1-year-old son had hit a new milestone: talking! Kate stroked his cheek, saying, ?You remind me of my little Louis, he keeps saying, ?Me, me, me.? And he wants to come everywhere with me!?
During the outing, Kate also shared what kind of fir Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Louis find their presents under on Christmas morning.
?She was asking about the trees which drop their needles and those that don?t, and which ones smell nice!? farm owner Roger Brill said. ?She said that they normally have the Nordmann Fir inside that doesn?t drop the needles.?
[From People]
I don?t have an opinion about real trees because I haven?t had a real tree in years. I have a plastic one and it?s really nice. I was going to get a real wreath but then I was in Pier One this week and I ended up buying a fake one (it?s SO pretty). I bet Kate is the kind of person who has real everything real tree, real wreaths, and I bet she gets real poinsettias too. Sigh?

| Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom have postponed their destination wedding, hm? | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

It feels like Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got engaged like three years ago, but in reality, it was just in February. He gave her a heart-shaped ring and they promptly began planning their wedding. Personally, I?ve always felt like Katy and Orly?s dynamic was ?she?s in charge, her career comes first and Orlando is sort of fine with it.? Maybe I?m wrong, who really knows. My point is that I bet Katy is the one driving the wedding planning too, and that Orlando perhaps isn?t getting much of a say. And it looks like Katy decided to postpone the destination wedding because of an issue with the locale. Hm.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom aren?t heading down the aisle just yet. The pair were set to tie the knot this month, but a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly that the wedding?s been postponed.
?They changed the timing due to the location they want,? says the insider. Not to worry ? everything?s still going smoothly for the couple. ?They?re beyond in love,? the source adds, noting that the singer, 35, and the actor, 42, are enjoying every minute of planning their nuptials.
?They?re going to have one local wedding party, and the other will be a destination wedding party,? the source adds. Babies are also on the brain: ?Katy wants to have her first kid soon after they get married,? adds the insider.
[From Us Weekly]
When Katy married Russell Brand, they did a destination wedding? in India! Is it bad form to do a second destination wedding for a second marriage? My thought is? I would want my second wedding to be different from my first wedding, especially if the first marriage ended in divorce after a few years. Destination wedding in India for the first one, that means doing a quiet LA wedding for the second one. But clearly, Katy does not agree. She has enough money to do whatever she wants, so whatever. I just don?t get all of the Wedding Tourism stuff. Where will the second wedding be held? Italy? France? Japan? Katy was just in Egypt with a huge crew too.

| Justin Timberlake apologizes to Jessica Biel after his 'strong lapse in judgment' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Late last month, we saw photos and a video of Justin Timberlake getting drunk and handsy with his pretty young costar, Alisha Wainwright, in New Orleans. JT and Alisha were working together on a film called Palmer, and it appeared as if they were in a larger group of people from the film, out at a bar in the French Quarter. But the video and photos showed Justin and Alisha sitting side-by-side, holding hands and looking especially friendly. Her hand was even on his leg (his thigh) at one point. It was also clear that Justin was pretty drunk. Pretty much within hours of the photos and video getting published online, Justin?s people had sent out weirdly worded denials to most major outlets. ?Sources? tried to explain or excuse the incident, and there was a streak of indignance too, like ?how dare anyone notice/suggest that Justin Timberlake cheats on his wife.?
Honestly, since the story broke, I?ve barely thought about it. It was not shocking in the least to hear a story about Justin possibly-probably cheating on Jessica Biel, because there were always stories about his infidelities while they were dating too. And this particular story just died down. It?s not that we believed his denials, it was more like we just didn?t care at this point. But now, a week and a half later, Justin wants to apologize publicly to Jessica Biel. He posted this message on his Instagram:
I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love.?
A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment ? but let me be clear ? nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that.
I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it
[From Justin?s IG]
?I stay away from gossip as much as I can?? There were literally photos and a video. This wasn?t an idle gossip story, some tabloid saying ?our sources claim something is happening!? In this situation, there?s EVIDENCE. We werent sitting around, trying to make this gossip happen. As for Justin?s apology to Jessica? it?s fine. I actually do believe that Justin was just drunk as hell and that he regrets his behavior. But I also wonder why it took him this long to say that, and to publicly apologize to his wife.

Anna Faris had a ?stupidly dramatic? Thanksgiving holiday but fortunately for the 13 people involved, it was saved from being dramatically tragic. Anna and a dozen members of her family rented a home in Lake Tahoe, California. As I follow Anna on social media, I was getting a kick out of her live-tweeting her family holiday with her usual quirky wit. She went big for her initial tweet:
My mom would be mortified if she knew I posted this on Twitter. Please stay tuned for thanksgiving minute by minute fun. pic.twitter.com/dooxQEZNTZ
