Looking to beat the midweek slump, Anna Faris treated herself to an evening out at the Chateau Marmont last night (July 10).
The ?House Bunny? babe looked cute in a grey top and distressed jeans as she carried her iPhone in one hand and waved to a few shutterbugs and fans with the other.
Anna seemed to have a few blisters and scabs on her hands, perhaps the result of some remodeling work on her brand new $3.3 million Hollywood Hills home.
Faris and her husband Chris Pratt purchased the Mediterranean mansion last month, located just a block away from their former home. It features four bedrooms, a chef?s kitchen, tennis court, gym, and saltwater pool!

The upbeat pop tune is featured in the upcoming animated flick "The Smurfs 2," which hits theaters on July 31.
Earlier this morning, Miss Spears got her Twitter fans excited for the release and shared, "Good morning everyone! #OohLaLaVideoToday!"
As for the flick, it follows the Smurfs team after they team up with their human friends to rescue Smurfette, who has been kidnapped by Gargamel.

It?s no secret that, apart from her talent, Salma Hayek has a curvaceous figure many in Hollywood envy. Still, the Mexican beauty confessed that she, like Angelina Jolie, would also decide on a double mastectomy if faced with cancer.
During the promotional tour for her upcoming comedy ?Grown Ups 2,? the Mexican actress stopped by Univision?s studios in Miami. On Monday, Hayek first appeared on ?Despierta Amrica? to give her co-stars a hilarious Spanish lesson but later the star discussed her thoughts on Jolie?s decision in an interview with “El Gordo y la Flaca.”
In the interview, the 46-year-old star spoke about working with David Spade, Kevin James, and Adam Sandler and the things that make her happiest. When asked whether she would be willing to sacrifice her breasts if faced with Jolie?s decision, the Mexican beauty was quick to assert she would.
?To save myself, of course!? Hayek told journalist Oscar Petit during the exclusive interview. ?I don?t know if I would have done the same [as Jolie] so quickly, perhaps I would have had more faith, thought more positively that nothing was going to happen to me. But you know, I don?t know, it?s not fair to put yourself in that situation when you haven?t been in it. I respect her decision a lot, of course. Plus, she looks great.?

I think Salma?s statement sounds pretty reasonable, especially with the ?it?s not fair to put yourself in that situation when you haven?t been in it? caveat. Salma would have ?thought positive? and waited, but that?s her choice and it doesn?t sound like she?s shading Angelina. Or maybe I?m not parsing it enough.
Salma also claimed in another interview that she could be working non-stop but she says no to so many amazing roles because of her family. She said: “I’ve said no to many things and I don’t regret it? If you notice, I only work in the summers? I’m very lucky because my daughter and my husband support me a lot in my work. So, thanks to that, I can do many things.? Yes, she?s only doing The Grown-Ups 2 because she gets offered so many amazing parts that she has to turn down.

Olivia “My Ex-Husband Killed My Vagina” Wilde covers the August issue of InStyle in a pair of figure-hugging jeans. It’s the jeans issue, and I can get behind that because jeans are usually as dressy as I get these days. Olivia as a cover model seems like an unexpected choice right now because she’s not really promoting anything. Remember how she was everywhere a few years ago? Now that “House M.D.” has been off the air for awhile, Olivia’s taken a few steps back to make some movies, and a peek at her IMDb profile reveals that she’s got a whole slew of movies in various stages of production, but none of her projects will hit theaters for at least a few months.
So this issue is mostly about Olivia wearing pretty clothes (although InStyle has only released one editorial shot) and talking about her own style as well as raving about Jason Sudeikis, with whom she got engaged last winter. Olivia sounds quite smitten with Jason as these excerpts reveal:
She’s confident: “I’m pretty comfortable in my own skin. I?m not the neurotic type. I don?t think there are things lurking everywhere to destroy me. I live pretty much in the present.”
Jason Sudeikis is so amazing: “I like having a real partner. It?s the model I grew up with. It?s part of why I was able to take so many chances in my life, because I felt like someone was watching my back. I could never imagine life without someone I respect, someone who offers me infinite possibilities.”
She does worry about this relationship: “There are spikes and dips and plateaus in this business. I?ve seen couples fall apart through it, and it is heartbreaking. You wonder what will happen–will he love me if I?m not as successful? Will jealousy kill us? I know there will be times when Jason is working more than I am, but I?m actually excited by that. I?m excited by what he will become, what depth he has.”
On her personal style: “I used to dress like [bluesman] John Lee Hooker, with wide-collared polyester shirts and corduroy suits. Boys were my role models back then.” Now, she?s a red carpet fixture. “I have the torso of a tall woman and the lower body of a short woman. Who knows what evolutionary purpose I?ve been made for? People always told me I had nice eyes, so I accentuated that.”

I don’t know, man. On one hand, Olivia claims not to be neurotic, but she seems rather upset over the prospect of Jason growing disinterested in her if and when her career cools. That seems like a strange topic to discuss in a style-centered magazine, right?
As for Olivia discussing her hybrid tall/short physique, that can be a real pain as I’ve learned from physical experience. Long torsos and shorter legs generally mean that one’s tummy and back live in perpetual fear of exposure while one’s jean cuffs are dragging on the ground. A good fit is so important. Although Olivia might be exaggerating a little bit as her recent bikini shots reveal a rather proportional body.
Meanwhile, I am wondering how many of you find Jason Sudeikis hot. He’s a handsome and funny guy but still so “meh,” is he not?

I apologize in advance for going on a bit of a rant here (as well as by paraphrasing the revolting Dennis Miller), but Shia Labeouf is irritating me more than usual with his amazing levels of pretention. So please bear with me in this (probably) illogical summary of Shia’s latest delusion with regard to these photos of LaDouche casually walking through Los Angeles in combat fatigues for no reason at all but to appear like the most “method” actor ever.
Last week, Shia dressed in a contemporary-era Army uniform to visit Fort Irwin with Brad Pitt in preparation for their WWII film, Fury. And I totally get that Shia thinks he’s a “method” actor and whatnot. After all, Shia thinks he’s so method that he felt the need to drop acid and send a sex tape by means of audition for two of his recent movies. Now the dude is completely off-duty and not even close to rolling film on Fury, yet he’s strolling around in Studio City, CA while running errands in requisite combat boots and pants that he’s so lovingly coupled with a “Bud Light” t-shirt.
Sigh. This is where I feel compelled to out myself as a member of a strong military family. Most of the time, I do try to avoid speaking about politics in any online forum, and I especially aim not to do so in a Jennifer Lopez sense; that is, I obviously do not earn $1.4 million while performing for an autocratic despot while claiming a weak excuse “I don’t like to talk politics, to be quite honest.”
If you must know, I usually vote liberal but tend to lean slightly towards the right when it comes to military-centered issues. So these photos of Shia find me contemplating three members of my family who have served in combat. One of them served in the Korean war, one in Vietnam, and one in WWII. The common link between all these men (especially the first two) is that they find it rather bothersome and more than slightly offensive that people (that is, “reenactors”) seek glory in acting out their historic battles on a weekend-warrior basis. And that is precisely how Shia’s “man in uniform” errands appear to me. Am I being too sensitive? Because I see a spoiled, out-of-touch actor who thinks he’s being badass by simply donning a uniform. He hasn’t earned the privilege, and that smacks of “spoiled Hollywood brat.” Yes, Shia will receive more money in a few months than most military men will receive during the entirety of their careers, but Shia hasn’t earned the glory associated with the uniform.
Take it off, dude, until the cameras are rolling.

The only reason I’m covering these photos is because I had the unfortunate experience of watching Safe Haven while on a plane earlier this week. I won’t give away any spoilers in case you’re a masochist, but I’ll try to explain. It was a typical romantic drama with very predictable thriller elements, (and some glaring plot holes) up until the end, when it had a real WTF ending. I guess you can blame author Nicholas Sparks for that, although why anyone would make that book into a movie a preserve that idiotic plot twist is beyond me.
There was one redeeming feature in the film, and that was Josh Duhamel. Not his acting at all, which was passable, but how easy he was on the eyes. I didn’t mind imagining that he was a hot widower looking to bone me. That was about it, except for Julianne Hough’s cute hair. I thought that style was adorable on her.
Here’s Josh out in Brentwood, California yesterday strolling around with his casual hotness. I’m digging his blue shoes, baggy grey jeans and his whole look here. I actually like his salt and pepper beard and think it adds some maturity to his very pretty face. This reminds me that Josh’s wife Fergie is pregnant. She’s not due until September or October, according to reports. These two have been open about the fact that they’ve wanted children for a while, and I’m excited for them. They’ve weathered some storms as a couple, and I bet they’re ready to be parents. I know from watching Safe Haven that Duhamel will make a really hot dad. That’s about all I took away from that movie.

Lindsay Lohan?s 20-millionth comeback role comes out in August. I?m talking about the Canyons, that micro-financed Bret Easton Ellis-written, softcore p0rn film in which Lindsay was mostly drunk and high during filming. All you need to know about The Canyons was already said in that sad/crazy/funny New York Times behind-the-scenes piece published earlier this year. Basically, this film is a wreck and everybody is terrible (and drunk). But that hasn?t stopped the director, noted hack Paul Schrader, from trying to talk up his film by any means necessary. Even if it means playing into this ridiculous idea that Lindsay is anyway like Marilyn Monroe. We know Lindsay thinks she?s the second coming on Marilyn, so it?s extra-special when a hack director agrees with her. Schrader wrote an essay about it for Film Comment ? you can read the full piece here, and here are some highlights:
While preparing and directing The Canyons I was reading James Goode?s book The Making of the Misfits, and I was struck by the similarities between Marilyn Monroe and the actress I was working with, Lindsay Lohan. (I wasn?t the only one so struck. Stephen Rodrick, a writer for The New York Times Magazine who was on set with us, titled his article about the film ?The Misfits,? which appeared on the cover with the line: ?This is what happens when you cast Lindsay Lohan in your movie.? Not even the Times is immune to the hurricane force of the LiLo phenomenon.)
Similarities? Tardiness, unpredictability, tantrums, absences, neediness, psychodrama?yes, all that, but something more, that thing that keeps you watching someone on screen, that thing you can?t take your eyes off of, that magic, that mystery. That thing that made John Huston say, I wonder why I put myself through all this, then I go to dailies.
Monroe and Lohan exist in the space between actors and celebrities, people whose professional and personal performances are more or less indistinguishable. Entertainers understand the distinction. To be successful, a performer controls the balance between the professional and personal, that is, he or she makes it seem like the professional is personal. It is the lack of this control that gives performers like Monroe and Lohan (and others) their unique attraction. We sense that the actress is not performing, that we are watching life itself. We call them ?troubled,? ?tormented,? ?train wrecks??but we can?t turn away. We can?t stop watching. They get under our skin in a way that controlled performers can?t.
I think Lohan has more natural acting talent than Monroe did, but, like Monroe, her weakness is her inability to fake it. She feels she must be experiencing an emotion in order to play it. This leads to all sorts of emotional turmoil, not to mention on-set delays and melodrama. It also leads, when the gods smile, to movie magic. Monroe had the same affliction. They live large, both in life and on screen. This is an essential part of what draws viewers to them.
Lohan has outgrown her adolescent roles. All those cute all-American girls with the all-American names (Hallie Parker, Annie James, Anna Coleman, Cady Heron, Maggie Peyton), they?re gone. And in their place is another all-American type, the tough-talking, cigarette-smoking, streetwise girl, the blowsy blonde?Gena Rowlands, Ann-Margret, Shelley Winters, Angie Dickinson. Yet shining from within remains the little girl from the Disney films?a sweetness that makes the hard shell vibrate. Just like Marilyn.

I?m sorry, I had to cut it off there. It?s offensive enough to see the Cracken lovingly compared to Marilyn Monroe, but to then extend it and sort of compare her to Gena Rowlands? Jesus. He must have been smoking crack WITH Lindsay.
Schrader goes on to say that Marilyn and Lindsay are different because of their surroundings and because of the changes in the industry. Schrader points out that Marilyn earned her status as an actress through hard work, and she maintained her status because of the studio system which protected her. Lindsay, on the other hand, lives in a world where she was given everything when she was just a teenager, and she learned how to make a living without having to ?act?. And Lindsay doesn?t have anyone ?protecting? her. While I agree with the basic point, that the nature of celebrity is different today and it would difficult for someone like Marilyn to thrive as an actress, I think using Lindsay as an example is a God-awful way to make that point.
Schrader then claims that it was a ?treat? to work with Lindsay because she has ?charisma? and a director ?can?t shoot around lack of charisma.? I disagree with the word ?charisma?. She?s watchable, yes. She IS. But it?s the watchable quality of a terrible car accident. And it?s been like that for years now.

Oh dear God. Beyonce covers the new issue of Flaunt Magazine, and this might go down as one of Beyonce?s worst photoshoots ever. It?s already being compared (unfavorably) to a terrible ANTM challenge (Bey needs to smize) and to some kind of Twihard p0rn (all of the sparkles). Is it just me or does Beyonce?s neck look really weird in several of these shots? Does she just have an epically slender, long neck or is this some Photoshop magic? I will give Bey some credit, though: her knockers look amazing. Truly.
Flaunt has a really gushy, ridiculous, ?Beyonce is the QUEEN OF EVERYTHING? article to go along with the crazy photoshoot, but that?s just build-up for one of the most boring Q&A sessions ever:

Beyonc: No conflict. I love it and Miss Tyra is fabulous!
Flaunt: What famous piece of architecture might you most like to do some necking in?
Beyonc: The Louvre, or under the Arc de Triomphe. Paris is a beautiful, sexy city.
Flaunt: Millennials make up a huge part of your fan base. Thousands of them have responded to your Instagram hashtag #beygood to promote goodwill. How do you feel about the media’s take on youth as the “me me me” generation, or a generation of “slack-tivists” [people who are activists online but not in the real world]?
Beyonc: At my concerts I see the opposite. They are engaged in making a difference. We have collected tons of donations that will go towards creating jobs and helping people get jobs. That’s something I want to celebrate. For Chime for Change we raised awareness and over $4 million in one day for equal rights for girls everywhere. So many people at that concert were young. They are more socially responsible than they get credit for.
Flaunt: Some were critical at your participating in a Pepsi campaign after you moved your body for childhood obesity. Where is the balance between your career objectives and your philanthropy?
Beyonc: Pepsi is a brand I’ve grown up seeing my heroes collaborate with. The company respects musicians and artistry. I wouldn’t encourage any person, especially a child, to live life without balance. ?Lack of creativity?? Beyonce knows that she?s been accused of ?homage-ing? too much, too often for years and years, right? But I do like her answers for the Millennials question and for the Pepsi question. The Pepsi question in particular, because I think this new ?soda-shaming? campaign against Big Soda has gotten ridiculous. Do I think soda machines should be in schools? No. But I think anyone should be able to buy a Big Gulp in NYC. I don?t judge celebrities with soda endorsements, nor do I judge people who love their soda. I love my Diet Pepsi, and I?ve cut back a lot since my youth, but I still love to have it. And that?s my choice. Get your Nanny State off my Diet Pepsi!

This week?s edition of Star Magazine finally took note of LeAnn Rimes? noticeable (and much-praised) weight gain, and in the editor?s mind, there?s only one reason for LeAnn to have put on about 15 pounds: she?s ?finally pregnant?. The magazine also notes that LeAnn has ?gained so much weight and she doesn’t even care.” Unfortunately, LeAnn has a tabloid bat-phone and before any site gets a hold of the week?s tabloids, LeAnn is already denying, denying, denying. LeAnn got on Twitter (what else?) to deny the alleged pregnancy:
LeAnn Rimes won’t be singing any lullabies anytime soon! Eddie Cibrian’s 30-year-old wife took to Twitter on Wednesday, July 10, to shoot down reports that she’s pregnant.
“LMAO Star Magazine!” the singer tweeted of the tabloid’s latest claim. “I don’t know if you [doctor] the pics or pic the worst one you can find, but I’m far from pregnant . . . ”
In fact, although the once pin-thin Rimes has been showing off a healthier, curvier figure lately, she says she’s recently lost weight. She added in her tweet that she “just dropped a jean size.”
Rimes is already a stepmom to Mason, 10, and Jake, 6, her husband’s two sons with ex-wife Brandi Glanville. In May, the “Spitfire” singer told Us Weekly that she’s not in a rush to start a family of her own yet.
“We talk about having kids all the time and I would love to, but it’s gonna be a second,” she said. “I’m still young and fertile — it’s all good!”
“I was just with the kids for the last two days taking care of them on my own, and trust me . . . I have a newfound respect for working moms who do it all by themselves,” Rimes added about caring for the boys. “It was my birth control for a little bit — so overwhelming!”

She just dropped a jean size? Questionable, unless she was using the Kardashian Sizing System. That?s not a burn on LeAnn at all ? she looks so much better at her current weight. But it seems like she?s gaining weight, not losing it, you know?
Meanwhile, LeAnn?s guest appearance on Charlie Sheen?s Anger Management comes on tonight. LeAnn has been tweeting about it a lot (apparently, Charlie sent her a bottle of wine as a thank you) and she even managed to get a weak story about her sexy scenes into In Touch Weekly:

And things must have gotten pretty awkward when husband Eddie Cibrian stopped by! A source tells In Touch that Eddie, 40, came by the set on July 2 and watched it all go down.
LeAnn, 30, filmed five scenes with Charlie, 47, and even had to wear lingerie for one! ?It was funny, and people thought she did a good job.?

Gross. The only thing grosser than the thought of LeAnn in lingerie, ?straddling? someone is the idea that Charlie Sheen is the one being straddled. I realized much too late that Leah Remini is/was a Scientologist. I liked her for years before King of Queens, so much so that I even watched those VH1 documentaries about her wedding and her pregnancy and birth. It was a few years later when I realized that Leah?s birthing suite went silent, it wasn?t a documentary-styling choice, it was because of the Church of Scientology?s dictate that babies should not be born into the world with screams or any noise whatsoever. So, Leah has been a Scientologist for a long, long time. She doesn?t really get hit with the Xenu label that often because she doesn?t give interview after interview about CoS, and I?d be willing to bet that most of her fans didn?t even know that she?s been rolling with Xenu this whole time. Well, Page Six has a fascinating little item about Leah leaving CoS after questioning David Miscavige?s ?methods?. Seriously, where?s Shelly?
?King of Queens? star Leah Remini is making a dramatic break from the Church of Scientology, a source said, after being subjected to years of ?interrogations? and ?thought modification? for questioning leader David Miscavige?s rule.
The source tells us Remini is quitting because of policies that don?t allow parishioners to question Miscavige?s management or the reported abuse of members of its Sea Org religious order ? and for forcing followers to ?disconnect? from family members branded as ?suppressive persons? if they choose to leave the church.
?It all began when Leah questioned the validity of excommunication of people,? a source said of her decision. ?She is stepping back from a regime she thinks is corrupt. She thinks no religion should tear apart a family or abuse someone under the umbrella of ?religion.? ?
Former Sea Org member Mike Rinder blogged this week that at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes? 2006 wedding, Remini innocently asked where Miscavige?s wife, Shelly, was. Former Scientology Celebrity Centre head Tommy Davis scolded her, ?You don?t have the [bleeping] rank to ask about Shelly.? Mrs. Miscavige reportedly hasn?t been seen in public since 2007.
As a result, Remini ?was put through interrogations and blacklisted within the church that she donated millions to and that her family has spent their lives in. She was put through ?thought modification? for five years,? our source said.
The source added that church friends Remini had for ?25 to 30 years wrote internal reports? about her that ?caused an investigation on her family.?
Someone close to Remini said she?s weighing going public ?when she sees what the church tries to do. She has heard they use people to scare you into silence.?
The source added, ?She?s from Brooklyn. The church can?t hurt her . . . they don?t have her family, that?s all that matters to her.? And, ?It?s not about wanting or not wanting to do Scientology . . . The issue is that [Miscavige] is taking down this church and hurting people and families.?

Well, that?s interesting, isn?t it? If it wasn?t for the actual threats and cult reprogramming, I?d kind of think it was funny that Leah?s problems began when she innocently asked about Shelly. Seriously, though, where IS Shelly?!
As for all of the reprogramming ? excuse me, ?behavior modification? for ?suppressive persons? ? I believe it. I believe it all. And as many former Scientologists have noted time and time again, it would have been much worse for Leah if she had just been a regular non-celebrity person. She probably would have had to do slave labor on Tom Cruise and David Miscavige?s Xenu-of-the-Seas sex yacht. At the very least, she would have been sent to the ?Hole? for asking about Shelly.

Not, but actually, I really hope that’s how the shoot went. Like, a Buffalo Bill type person just stood in the shadows and said that to her when she first walked in. She’d think it was a joke at first until the photog kept staring at her menacingly at which point Beyonce just nervously stepped into the tub while the photog kept staring at her while snapping a few pictures.
