In an interview withRolling Stone, the 20-year-old Demi Lovato revealed that when she was 7, her mother and principal made her sign a contract promising she wouldn’t kill herself.
The 20-year-old singer revealed that she has battled depression since she was just 7 years old?when she first felt the spotlight on Barney & Friends.
“The principal called my parents and made me sign this suicide contract saying that I would not kill myself,” she told the mag. “They weren’t expecting that so young.”
I’m not sure how enforceable that is. What were they going to do if she did kill herself? Sue her? Like I said to the judge before I dropped to the floor and closed my eyes, “You can’t sue a dead man!”

Ugh. Kim Kardashian went off on the paparazzi on her Twitter yesterday. Apparently, she was being followed by several paparazzi, and she was able to ?block? them, which has been happening a lot lately. Sidenote: I think Kim just doesn?t want to be photographed so often these days because she?s miserable and pregnant and she hates unflattering photos of herself. Anyway, after Kim was able to block the photographers, some of them ?threatened? her and that?s why she went off on Twitter:
I wouldn’t let the paps get a pic of me today & they threatened my life & said if I continue to block shots then they will make my world dangerous to live in! How dare they threaten my life & my unborn child! This has gotten way out of control!
Yesterday 4 cars boxed me in. One in front, behind, & one on each side just to have me drive at their speed so they can snap through the window. Its really so scary what they are legally allowed to get away with!
For years I’ve always been so gracious. Every shot they take now just isn’t flattering & crazy stories get made up, so why would I willingly just let them stalk me & smile for them? Let me enjoy this last month of pregnancy please without threats & being scared to leave my home due to what dangerous thing they just threatened to do to me.
What will it take for there to be laws put in place to prevent this behavior?
I get I live a public life. I live my life on a reality show for the world to see. I love my life, but when the cameras stop, that doesn’t mean I don’t want a break too. I’m 32 yrs old now, about to be a mom. I’m not 25 clubbing around LA anymore. There’s no excuse for threats & stalking!

If the paps threatened her and she felt they were behaving dangerously, then she has every right to call them out and even report it to the police. But I can?t help but think that she?s overplaying her hand here. Hidden within her Twitter fit is the real reason she?s mad ? ?Every shot they take now just isn’t flattering & crazy stories get made up?. Yep. That?s it. It?s not JUST about the paparazzi putting her in a dangerous situation ? which is truly scary and deserves to be called out ? but it?s about Kim ?controlling? her image. She?s not just mad about the danger. She?s mad that a paparazzo will get an unflattering photo and publish it without airbrushing it. She?s mad that the tabloids keep claiming that Kanye is gay and that he couldn?t care less about participating in her pregnancy. I mean… and that?s fine, that she?s mad about all of those things all at once. But her argument against the paparazzi is weakened when she makes it about her control over her image.

How times have changed! Unlike in years past, LeAnn Rimes rarely responds to husband Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville via Twitter. Speaking to Us Weekly while promoting her new album Spitfire, the 30-year-old country music superstar explains how she’s learned to ignore the 40-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s online antics.
“The thing is, Eddie and I are very proud of the home and family that we have. We don’t like drama, and we don’t want to be part of it,” says the two-time Grammy winner. “We can’t control the people around us, but we can control we handle drama, and we’ve made a very peaceful life for ourselves and I’m very happy with that. There’s a lot of drama on the outside and we’ve finally learned how to not let it in.”
Rimes, who recently moved into a new house with the Hot in Cleveland guest star, adds that they “love to just stay in and be away from it all.” Though Glanville often criticizes her sons’ “bonus mom” in interviews, Rimes has grown tired of letting their family drama play out in the press.
“I definitely have to bite my tongue a lot of the time,” the Mississippi-born, Texas-raised star admits. “There’s a fine line because I don’t want to be run over and I do stand up for myself. But I also don’t want to feed into the drama. I did say, ‘I do music, not drama.” I don’t need drama to have a career. And so I plan on, as much as possible, to not feed into it. Like I said, there will be moments I don’t hold back from standing up for myself.”
Glanville has often complained about co-parenting sons Jake, 10, and Mason, 6, with Cibrian and Rimes, a problem that’s been exacerbated by publicly bashing her ex and his new wife. “It’s really hard to communicate when you’re afraid that someone is going to take something, twist it and use it in the press,” Rimes tells Us. “There’s a reason why I don’t — we don’t — speak right now. And I hope that things like someone tweeting about not being able to get ahold of their kids will subside at some point and not be used as drama.”
“I think if our lives were not played out so publicly that way, then we would be able to communicate better,” Rimes adds. “But, at this moment, that’s not [the case].”
The “Borrowed” singer tells Us she would rather focus on her music than on feuding with the Drinking and Tweeting author. “It’s time for the conversation to change,” Rimes says. “I do music. I don’t blow up drama for the sake of a career.”

For the love of God. Does she know how ridiculous she sounds? I will admit that I think Brandi Glanville ?starts? some of this stuff, but I really believe that ? let?s say ? 75% of the time it?s just LeAnn being a drama queen, starting her own ?war? and being really ridiculous. I mean, let?s take an example from this past weekend ? Brandi tweeted a few cute photos of the birthday party she threw for one of her sons. She didn?t direct the tweets to anyone, there was no shade, it was just ?hey, this is my son?s birthday cake? etc. LeAnn then went completely overboard trying to ?one-up? Brandi by tweeting about the cake she got for Mason and going on and on (complete with photos and Vine videos) about the birthday celebrations SHE hosted. What?s so funny to me is that Brandi has to expend so little energy to get under LeAnn?s skin, and it feels like LeAnn spends 24 hours a day, 7 days a week trying to figure out how to ?respond?. LeAnn is a vortex of narcissism and self-perpetuating drama.

Here are some new photos of Jessica Biel walking her dogs along the Hudson River in NYC. I think Jessica and Justin have been staying in New York for a while? But don?t quote me on that. I believe one dog is a pit bull (or a pit mix) and the other dog is a boxer. I?ve heard rumors about Jessica?s dogs, but I will say this as big-dog lover: I like that Jessica doesn?t have some tiny little dog. Big dogs are awesome!!
Anyway, have you checked out Jessica?s IMDB recently? She?s got some films in various stages of production, but none of them are going to set the world on fire with their awesomeness. I really do think that Jessica married Justin Timberlake partially as a way to revive her career, which has been stagnate for? years, if not forever. I would say that Jessica has a place in Hollywood, and that her problem is that she doesn?t just acknowledge where her place is, because she thinks she?s a leading lady, suited for Oscar-bait dramas. When really she?s an actress who should always play ?the girl?. The girl in action movies, the girl in an ensemble rom-com, etc. The problem isn?t just that Jessica thinks she?s Oscar-worthy, it?s that she?s usually the worst part of the lower-tier films she actually gets. She?s a pretty girl, but she?s not even close to a mid-range actress. But Jessica is trying to shake it up! She thinks her management is the problem, so she fired a bunch of people and signed with a new management team!

Biel discharged her managers late last week, and she will decide her future this week with CAA. That agency is preparing to reshuffle her rep team to try and keep her in the fold.
Biel most recently was seen in Total Recall, the Gerard Butler soccer romcom Playing For Keeps, and Emanuel And The Truth About Fishes which premiered at Sundance. Next up, she stars in and is a producer of the Bill Purple-directed The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea opposite Chloe Moretz, Jeffrey Morgan and Mary Steenburgen. She also has that heavily troubled Nailed (she plays a woman whose nail gun accident turns her into a sex addict), but it?s unclear when that film will see the light of day, if ever.
Biel is married to Justin Timberlake, who?s making strides as an actor. He?s managed by Rick Yorn and repped by WME, an agency which has to be all over this. I remember when Biel bristled at the wholesome image cultivated for her at the Aaron Spelling series 7th Heaven, and her public rebellion helped give her a shot at a film career in the first place. Maybe she feels the need to shake things up again. I could certainly see her in one of these superhero movies or action franchises.
Update: Jessica Biel has signed to be managed by Rick Yorn?s LBI. This comes after the actress left both Management 360 and CAA, and then postponed the exit with the agency. Now, it looks like Biel may well stay at CAA, which will be having a meeting with her and reshuffling the team. Biel had been with Management 360 for eight years, and had been in business even longer with Nicole King, her former publicist who became a manager at 360. Yorn reps Biel?s husband, Justin Timberlake, but she will be handled by a team of managers at LBI. She continues to be lawyered by Karl Austen, who has been making her deals since Biel was 14.

Are you as confused as me? From what I gather, Biel is staying with CAA, but I guess they?re saying CAA will give her a different agent (?reshuffle?). Then Biel definitely signed on with a new management team, the same ones as Justin. And a ?management team? involves a manager, a publicist and?? God knows. I don?t understand why actors think they need ten people ?managing? them and their careers. Get an agent and a publicist, for sure, but at some point the actors should realize that they?re just paying people to do busy work. Also: as I said above, the biggest problem with Jessica Biel?s career is not her management or her agency, it?s HER.
PS? Is anyone else surprised she hasn?t gotten pregnant yet? Someone should tell her that babies are good for her career. She should ask her BFF Jennifer Garner about that.

But Vlad has been enjoying his newly single status, and he?s been out and about in all of the big party cities, always with a different model on his arm. And then over the weekend, photographers got pics of Vlad cavorting with a model on his yacht. The model was Luo Zilin, and she had been a contestant on The Face. Naomi had mentored her, promoted her. Well, as soon as Naomi saw the photos, it was GAME ON. Naomi isn?t playing. Naomi will take a bitch down and that bitch will never be able to strut down a catwalk again. So, Naomi already got Luo fired from her modeling agency in NYC. So what?s next?
Naomi Campbell is still fuming months after her breakup with Russian mogul boyfriend Vladimir Doronin ? and she?s now apparently trying to get his new girlfriend, Luo Zilin, fired by her Chinese modeling agent.

Page Six exclusively revealed Naomi, 42, and Vlad, 50, broke up earlier this year. We hear they split in January and finalized the break in March.
The source explained, ?They broke up because there were too many ups and downs, and you can only deal with that for so long. Vlad wishes Naomi well. He just wants to move on with his life, but she won?t let him.?
The source said Vlad was surprised to see paparazzi shots of himself with Luo at his secluded villa in Ibiza, adding, ?Only a few people know the location of that villa. It?s hard to find, and he suspects she told the paparazzi.?
But a source close to the British beauty, whose career is back on top thanks to the success of ?The Face? in the US, said, ?She is totally focused on ?The Face.? She?s in London working around the clock on the British version of the show. This isn?t easy for Naomi. This relationship seems almost designed to hurt her. She is trying hard to keep a brave face and not to think about it.

This is just kind of a fun story (not really news) that I found myself drawn to because I sort of admire Nicole Richie no-nonsense attitude. Nicole was on a trip from New York to Los Angeles and a paparazzo was on the same flight as her. After landing, Nicole noticed that the man was not attending to his own daughter while trying to take a photo of Nicole, so she tweeted about it and snapped the above photos for Instagram.
Nicole’s description of events seems a little bit embellished, but let’s do this anyway: “This paparazzi (sic) dragged his poor, sweet little girl on my plane from NYC to LA. As he ran her off the plane, he dropped her ON THE FLOOR of LAX as she laid there, crying her eyes out.. Just to get his shot. #Heartbreaking #FatherOfTheYear.”
You gotta love Nicole’s spunk, right? Obviously, this dude did not book a flight to Los Angeles with his daughter in tow just so he could take photos of Nicole Richie. He was probably merely on the same flight and saw an opportunity to make a few bucks at his usual profession since he was already carrying his massive pap cam with him. I doubt he tossed his child — who was probably merely throwing a toddler tantrum — onto the floor, but the guy should have been attending to his daughter instead of snapping a photo of a celeb. Whatever the case, it’s still funny that Nicole did this to a pap.

Alicia Keys covers the new issue of Marie Claire UK. It?s a lovely shoot ? Alicia?s hair looks good, her face is always beautiful, and her body looks great. Unfortunately, Alicia is still kind of an a?hole. Yes, she sings pretty songs and yes, she gives back to charity. Praise her for that. But do not praise her for the sketchiness that is her relationship/marriage to Swizz Beatz. Swizz Beatz was married to Mashonda Dean when he started fooling around with Alicia. Alicia is the reason Swizz and Mashonda are no longer together. Swizz was also fooling around with other women throughout his marriage to Mashonda, and one woman in particular (Jahna Sebastian) coincided with both his marriage to Mashonda AND his affair with Alicia, and that relationship ended up with the woman having a baby. A baby that Swizz has neither acknowledged nor financially supported.
Throughout her relationship and marriage to Swizz, Alicia has barely answered any questions about the shadiness of this whole mess. Whenever she?s confronted with direct questions ? rarely ? Alicia pushes them off or acts like she?s too important to deign to justify Swizz?s shenanigans. Their marriage and the birth of their son Egypt continued the ?whitewashing of Alicia? in the press, and nowadays whenever the big outlets cover her, they make it sound like Alicia and Swizz are completely in love and he?s such a doting father and you wouldn?t know that he?s got a bunch of other children that he doesn?t support and barely sees.
That?s all backstory because Alicia continues the whitewash in this new Marie Claire interview. She talks about meeting Swizz and what she felt and never once does she reference the shenanigans with Mashonda:
They are one of the music world’s golden couples, supporting each other through their careers and helping to raise two-year-old son Egypt. But it seems that things weren’t always so rosy between Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, as the superstar has admitted that she found him ‘annoying’ when they first met. Speaking to Marie Claire, the 32-year-old opened up about the couple’s long journey to romance, while posing for an ethereal new photo shoot.
‘Honestly, I didn’t really like him that much,’ she said, talking about when she first met the American hip hop artist while they were both teenagers. ‘I though he was ostentatious. He’ll drive the fastest, brightest car, wear the biggest jewellery, the loudest jacket; everything with him is really over the top,’ she admitted.
‘I was like, he is so annoying,’ she said, reminiscing about when she saw him drive past a restaurant in a huge white Rolls-Royce Phantom.
But after years of knowing each other, and not quite managing to work together, the pair found themselves in the studio, and a relationship soon followed.
‘I fought tooth and nail,’ she said, admitting that she originally didn’t want to work with him. ‘Finally though, we did it and we had a ball.’
‘I think we’ve taught each other a lot,’ she said. ‘He’s taught me how to live more fully and I’ve taught him how to live more deeply.’
The singer also admitted that she struggled with the negative attitudes of people close to her during her rise to fame.
‘There might have been people in my life who, now, when I look back, I realise were kind of insulting or abusive – verbally or emotionally – or just not supportive,’ she said.
Speaking about her beloved two-year-old son, the singer says ‘[He] never gets grouchy or grumpy. He has a great disposition.’

I guess we?re supposed to think that it?s cute that Alicia took so long to come around on Swizz, that a good man was right in front of her the whole time or some kind of mindless rom-com trope like that. But I keep coming back to something Mashonda said in an interview: ?We were married. Sleeping in the same bed and having sex every night while he was seeing Alicia. Okay? It was an affair. 100 percent. I don?t know why people want to change that rule so much. We had just had a kid, for crying out loud. Our child was 8 months. I found out about Alicia two days before my son turned 1. They had been doing their thing for months before that.? That?s the time period Alicia is referencing when she casually says that she and Swizz ?had a ball?. Yeah.
