Last month, Southern California was devastated by widespread wildfires. Densely populated areas like Pasadena and Altadena were very heavily damaged and thousands of people?s lives have been radically altered. Amid the chaos of the fires, a group of teenage girls in Altadena decided to put together what they hoped would be a week-long pop-up ?shop? where teens could come in and get some fresh clothes, makeup, skincare and other items they needed. They called themselves the Altadena Teen Girls Fire Recovery Group, or Altadena Girls for short. Their little project took off instantly, with celebrities and major charities stepping in with donations and all kinds of help. One of the celebrities doing the most? The Duchess of Sussex, and her Archewell Foundation. The founder of Altadena Girls spoke to Marie Claire exclusively about their mission, and how Meghan helped out and more. Some highlights:
Altadena Girls was started by 14-year-old Avery Colvert: In the days following [the fires], Colvert gathered clothing to help local wildfire victims. Then she and stepdad Matt Chait had an idea: They would ?collect some clothes from whomever will donate? and ?have a little bit of a free fair for one day.? Colvert decided to also include products like skincare, accessories and makeup??exactly what a teenage girl would want.? A friend of her stepdads offered his creative space, Small Green Door, for them to use.
It was supposed to be a temporary thing: ?It was supposed to be a weeklong plan,? Colvert says with a laugh. However, word quickly spread and ?within probably 30 minutes of releasing the location? there were ?trucks lined up down the street donating items.? Celebrities like Paris Hilton and Ariana Grande got involved; major brands?including Grandes R.E.M. Beauty and Bella Hadids Orebella?sent in donations. Girls from around the area flocked to their temporary space to shop. And then Shauna Nep, the co-executive director of the Archewell Foundation, came calling. When Averys stepdad told her that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex?s foundation wanted to get involved, Colvert says she ?just started to break down crying.?
Avery on Meghan: ?Meghan is so incredibly kind,? the Altadena Girls founder continues. ?She was so excited to help.? After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted volunteering at a Los Angeles food bank and Meghan appeared in an Instagram Reel from Altadena Girls, numerous royal experts claimed the duchess was just looking for a photo opp. Colvert says she finds the claims ?ridiculous.? ?They?re like, ?Oh she came in and she just dropped her stuff off and left.? People weren?t there,? she shares, explaining that Meghan ?came in with bags of clothing from her own closet? and ?was there for multiple hours in a day.? The duchess even ?got stylist training? so she could help girls choose outfits and accessories. ?For all the girls that were coming in, they got to be styled by Meghan Markle,? Colvert continues, noting that some clients ?came in and just completely broke down? when they saw the duchess there. As for her stepdad, Chait, he says he was in shock at how long Meghan stayed and helped. ?She was carrying out bags to people?s cars,? Colvert says.
Archewell helped secure Altadena Girls? new space: But the Archewell Foundation?s support ?has continued beyond just that day,? as Chait tells Marie Claire. ?They?ve continued to open lots of doors for us and make connections,? he says. When it came to Altadena Girls?s new permanent space, which opened in Pasadena last week, Archewell even helped them ?to secure the building,? Chait says.
A long-term solution: As for that future, Altadena Girls has now become a long-term solution? to help girls in need, Colvert says, and not just a project to address the wildfires. Along with providing clothing and other items, mental wellness services?which Altadena Girls is already offering?will be at the heart of the organization?s new 12,000-square-foot permanent space in Pasadena. The building will also give kids who have lost their schools and activities a safe place to gather. ?There?s going to be therapy services, were going to build out a dance room and have dance classes and yoga classes,? Colvert says of Altadena Girlss new HQ, which, of course, also includes a free storefront where girls can shop. Chait adds several national brands have reached out to provide funding for the activity rooms. This isnt like a pipe dream right now, he says. We signed a long-term lease.
Archewell?s consequential support: While Altadena Girls has been lucky to receive support from the likes of Kerry Washington?whose birthday party the duchess recently attended?along with Charlie XCX, Mindy Kaling, Skims and Huda Beauty, Chait calls their relationship with the Archewell Foundation ?the most surprising and really consequential? connection to date. ?It really made the biggest difference,? he says.
[From Marie Claire]
The criticism of Meghan for volunteering in her hometown during a huge natural disaster was always unhinged, and it never had any basis in reality. It was actually a test case of the virulence of Deranger hate they exposed themselves as unreasonable people who lost their sh-t over absolutely anything involving Meghan. It?s really cool that Meghan went out of her way to support Avery?s project and that this has grown to such a huge extent in a matter of, like, three weeks. Archewell continues to do good work behind the scenes.

| Paris Hilton volunteered at the Pasadena Humane Society after losing her home | Added 23 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

So many of you shared different LA-area animal shelters to donate to, in the comments on the hero story of Max the Dog (who is safely at a rescue center!). One group that several of you mentioned was the Pasadena Humane Society. Well, guess who volunteered at PHS over the weekend? Paris Hilton. I knew Paris was among the celebrities who?d lost their homes in the wildfires, but I didn?t realize that she actually watched her house in Malibu burn down on live TV. I can barely imagine what that must have been like, but Paris managed to put words to it eloquently in an Instagram post of her visiting the wreckage. Even after all that, Paris has set to work pitching in with relief efforts. In addition to spending time at PHS, Paris has also been helping out at Baby2Baby and a Hilton in Montebello, CA that is housing displaced families. And on top of that, she?s launched an emergency fund through her nonprofit. People Mag has all the details:
Two days after revealing the destruction of her home, [Hilton] headed to Pasadena to aid the impacted community. On Monday, Jan. 13, the Simple Life star, 43, posted to X, assisting the Pasadena Humane Society with animals who were found after the wildfires.
She revealed there was one cat without a collar in Altadena, Calif., which was heavily impacted by the Eaton Fire. Hilton explained that the cat ?has been in the shelter for the last four days .?
Adding, ?Please share with anyone you know from the Altadena area so we can reconnect this baby with his owner! His animal ID is A519218.?
Hilton added that her nonprofit, 11:11 Media Impact, has ?contributed to support the shelter?s efforts, and they are ?still raising funds to help displaced families and pets.? Noting, ?Every donation makes a difference in providing emergency relief, housing, and supplies. If you?re able to donate or volunteer, the Pasadena Humane Society is an incredible charity to support! .?
Hilton also posted on Instagram that she ?had the privilege of volunteering to support the inspiring impact work? at Baby2Baby and the Hilton in Montebello, Calif., and the Pasadena Humane Society. The Instagram carousel included several images of her and her husband, Carter Reum, with those impacted at different locations.
She also revealed she is fostering a dog named Zuzu, ?whose family unfortunately had to surrender her after their home was destroyed in the wildfires.? Hilton said, ?Fostering is such an important way to help when you?re able to ? if you can, please consider giving a temporary or permanent home to animals in need .?
The mother of two said the team ?picked up essential items and gifts for the displaced families? who are staying at the Hilton in Montebello. ?My heart goes out to them and being able to bring comfort and a smile to their faces is something I will never forget ,? she wrote.
On Friday, Jan. 10, Hilton posted an Instagram announcing that she is working with 11:11 Media Impact to launch an emergency fund to ?support displaced families with young children,? she wrote.
That day, Hilton said she would start with a personal contribution of $100,000 and noted that she would match any additional dollars raised up to $100,000. In her Monday, Jan. 13 Instagram post, she announced they had already raised over $600,000 in 3 days. They aim to reach $1 million ?to provide cash assistance, housing, and essentials to those affected.?
Hilton is working with the emergency relief organization CORE, she said. The donations will provide short-term housing and hotel stays for families, deliver essentials and supplies to evacuation centers and support local animal shelters.
[From People]
Again, I am mighty impressed by Paris having the emotional wherewithal to put in the time to volunteer, set up a fund through her nonprofit, and take on a foster pup, mere days after her house just burned to the ground. I know she has money, and that helps, but I still give her credit for how she?s helping out. And as for little Zuzu, that girl is destined to be a foster fail, right? That sweet face! She looks like she has some Dachshund in her, so it?s highly probable that I?m extra susceptible to her cuteness because she reminds me of my dearly departed My Girl. And I could be projecting, but the expression on Zuzu?s face looks a touch bewildered and concerned, and understandably so! I feel for Zuzu, who likely has no idea what is happening, as much as I feel for her family who had to make the difficult decision to do what was right for Zuzu, even if it broke their hearts.
So here?s the important stuff: links to Pasadena Humane Society, 11:11 Media Impact, and CORE for making donations, if you are able. Its all paws on deck.

The nostalgia train keeps chugging along, and the next stop is a new Paris Hilton/Nicole Richie show. Yup, that?s right! I guess this is great news for anyone out there who really misses The Simple Life. Paris and Nicole both announced the series with a little teaser on their Instagram accounts that merely showed a staticky TV screen that played their voices doing their old ?Sanasa? chant over and over again. I would have found that really confusing on its own, so thankfully they also included a caption that read, ?New Era. Same Besties. Coming soon to Peacock.?
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, the dynamic duo behind the iconic reality TV show, The Simple Life, are set to make a comeback on the small screen. After nearly 17 years since the conclusion of their hit series, the two best friends announced their reunion in a nostalgic Instagram post on Monday.
Hilton and Richie teased their upcoming project with the Instagram caption, New Era. Same Besties. Coming soon to Peacock. Despite the static on a TV screen in the clip they shared, fans could hear the familiar voices of Hilton and Richie uttering their famous catchphrase, Sanasa, from their days on The Simple Life.
Details of the series have not yet been revealed, but the new show will reportedly not be an exact duplicate of The Simple Life, though it will star the pair together, TMZ reports. Speculation regarding a potential reunion first sparked on Wednesday, when Richie, 42, shared a collage of photos of herself and Hilton, 43, from different points in their life dating all the way back to childhood.
From Day 1: Sill and Bill Richie captioned the post. In the comments, Hilton remarked, Sanasaaaa .
The Simple Life which ran for five seasons from 2003 to 2007 followed Hilton and Richie as they tried to do different jobs, including working on a farm, as waitresses, and various other tasks that they were unfamiliar with. The show hit a speedbump when the pair had a falling out in 2005, which led to it being canceled by Fox. However, it was picked up by E! where it aired for two more seasons.
Richie previously expressed her deep connection with Hilton on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in 2014, stating, Paris is somebody thats been in my life since day one. An idea of a true friend is somebody thats going to be there for you through and through.
Despite not having spoken in a while, Richie emphasized their strong friendship, stating, I havent spoken to [Paris] in a while, but we are very good friends, and I love her and love her family, and have a lot of respect for her.
[From ET Online]
I don?t know, guys. I?m sure there?s a market for this somewhere but I?m not sure who is clamoring for another Paris/Nicole reality TV show, especially if it is just a sequel of The Simple Life in a different setting. Do you think they?re trying to get a piece of the Real Housewives or Kardashian market share? Because I don?t think the people who were rooting for Ke Huy Quan?s, Brendan Fraiser?s, or even Lindsay Lohan?s comebacks are holding up ?Bring Back Paris and Nicole? banners, but what do I know. Paris already has Paris in Love, a reality TV show based on her personal life. Will she be replacing that one with this one, with the two of them focusing more on mom life? What other kind of reality TV show could they do? I feel like their dynamic and vibe in The Simple Life was reflective of that era and if they can?t come up with something new and different that?s updated with the times, they just should let it rest.

| Paris Hilton & Carter Reum welcomed a baby boy via surrogacy | Added 744 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

On November 11, 2021, Paris Hilton married Carter Reum in a lavish ceremony which was filmed for a reality show which already aired on Peacock (I have no memory of any of that). Soon after the wedding, various outlets did some digging on Reum and they found that he has a daughter whom he financially supports but has only met once or twice. The little girl is probably 10 years old right now. Paris made a big deal about how she wanted a baby and how Reum is the one. Well, shortly after the wedding, Paris and Carter made arrangements for a surrogacy. Paris is now the mother of a little boy.
Paris Hilton is starting 2023 with a new title ? mom! The businesswoman and media personality, 41, and husband Carter Reum recently welcomed their first baby together, a son, via surrogate, PEOPLE can confirm.
Its always been my dream to be a mother and Im so happy that Carter and I found each other, the new mom tells PEOPLE exclusively. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.
Sharing the exciting news on Instagram Tuesday, Hilton posted a close-up photo of the baby gripping her thumb. You are already loved beyond words , she wrote. Hilton has previously been open about her desire to become a parent alongside Reum, 41.
[From People]
I?m surprised that, with a surrogate, they implanted male embryos. That?s the most shocking part to me I thought Paris would only want daughters. Maybe Carter wanted a boy. If Paris names this kid Conrad, I swear to God. Anyway, congrats to Paris and Carter. I kind of doubt the marriage will last but I?m happy that Paris has fulfilled her dream of becoming a mom.

| Paris Hilton 'still trying to convince' fianc' to be in the show about their wedding | Added 3 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum got engaged in February. As of this writing, I cannot find that they have set a wedding date. I tried asking Google but couldn?t find it anywhere. Prior to my internet search, I was going to write that I think Paris and Carter will actually make it down the aisle. As many of your know, Paris has been engaged three times before Carter but all of them were broken off, I believe, before a wedding date was set. However, it looks like what?s holding off this wedding is an air date, Apparently Paris is planning on filming the whole lead up to the wedding including selecting her dress, her bachelorette party, preparing for her ceremony, the Big Event, etc. But there?s a wrinkle in her negotiations: the groom doesn?t want any part of it.
(Paris) Hilton is in full wedding-planning mode, saying she will get married this year and the whole thing is being shot for a show. ?Yes, we are planning it right now,? she said, ?[And] doing the TV show with it as well, so everyone will get to see all of the magical moments.?
Terri (Seymour) asked if Carter was on board with the idea for the show: ?No, I?m still trying to convince him,? Paris said. ?He doesn?t like the camera. He doesn?t do red carpets, doesn?t do interviews. He?s so focused on his business, and I love that about him. And you don?t know if they want him for you or attention and it?s not like that with him at all, so it?s different from any relationship, and I like that he shies away from that.?
The whole thing will be documented, including the ceremony, she revealed. ?Prepping for it, getting ready, the bachelorette party, picking out my dresses ? there?s going to be a lot of beautiful moments.?
[From Extra]
If Paris is getting married this year, then she has to have a date and location set by now. I get that the pandemic has probably made it much easier to book, but a socialite at Paris? level would definitely have something nailed down by mid-May, surely. So it?s a secret? I don?t understand. I also don?t understand Pariss logic in that Carter?s disdain for the camera is what she loves about him, so she?s trying to shove one in his face on the biggest day of his life. If she truly loved that about him, she would respect his wishes. On the other hand, it?s not like Carter didn?t know who he was dating. He had to know cameras would be there for the rest of his life with Paris. Their engagement was just a sampler of things to come, so his refusal to participate in this wedding show is almost silly. What are they going to do, blur his image in the final footage?
And I?m sorry, but no one gets to declare moments beautiful before they happen. Sure, many moments in a wedding are emotional but they are beautiful because of what how people feel when they happen. If Paris declares them beautiful before they ever happen it may be perceived as, I dunno ? fabricated.

| Paris Hilton shows off her latest massive engagement ring | Added 3 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Paris Hilton got engaged over the Valentine?s Day weekend. It was especially exciting because her family was celebrating her 40th birthday so it was a Paris Extravaganza. One thing that was oddly downplayed at the time was the massive diamond fianc Carter Reum used to propose. If you remember Paris? engagement to Chris Zylka (not to be confused with her engagements to Jason Shaw or Paris Latsis), the 20 -carat, pear-shaped, custom designed diamond engagement ring was heavily featured in the announcement. Some might say more than Chris. In addition to the rock extending past Paris? knuckle, it got attention because 1) it bore a resemblance to a similar ring Cardi B had been showing off about the same time and 2) absolutely no one believed that Chris either designed it or paid for it himself.
This engagement, the ring was only partially visible in photos and very few details were leaked. It looked to be the same size of the Zylka pear diamond, but it was clear this was an emerald cut monster. It was reported that the ring was designed by Jean Dousset, who is the great-great grandson of Louis Cartier, but that?s all we got. I, foolishly, thought it was because the emphasis this engagement was on love. No, it was because the ring was getting its own night. Last Tuesday, wearing all black, Paris blinded most of Malibu as she went to dinner wearing signature fingerless gloves.
Paris Hilton is hitting the town with a new accessory on her ring finger.
On Tuesday, the singer made her first public appearance since announcing her engagement to Carter Reum as she stepped out for a late-night dinner in Malibu with her husband-to-be.
Hilton, 40, had her massive engagement ring on display, matching the sparkler to her shiny face mask.
The entrepreneur dressed in an all-black ensemble for her night out, wearing a long-sleeve collared shirt tucked into a leather mini skirt. She also accessorized her look with sheer black tights, suede booties and fingerless gloves.
Reum, 40, proposed to Hilton after a year of dating on Feb. 13 while the couple celebrated her 40th birthday on a private island. Reum popped the question with a one-of-a-kind diamond engagement ring.
The mega-carat, emerald-cut sparkler was designed by jeweler Jean Dousset ? the great-great-grandson of famed French jeweler Louis Cartier.
[From People]
Note, this time she didn?t even bother to include the fianc. You can see a larger photo of the ring on Brides Magazines website. Paris also posted this video to her YouTube channel of the ring being designed. The video is gorgeous. It also helped me figure out the shape of the giant baguettes, which I couldn?t make out in the pics but they are trap cut diamonds. I was going to make some snarky comments about why have a ?custom? designed ring that is essentially just a giant Emerald cut diamond with side stones, but the video shows the elaborate side work under the diamond so I get it now. It?s not my taste, but I think that applies to most of Paris? lifestyle. Except for the all black, ring reveal outfit she chose. That?s adorable.
What is also not my style is Paris? choice of birthday gift. I am so happy I came across this story in Vanity Fair, it?s made my whole week. Paris gifted her now fianc Carter Reum a giant painted portrait of him kissing her forehead for his birthday. In the video, they promise to find the perfect place to hang it. But, I think they?re in her house. So I guess he can visit it when he?s allowed over? Maybe that?s why he proposed, because he couldn?t imagine being away from his portrait? I know I couldn?t.
Seriously, listen to Carter try to act appropriately for the taped reaction shot here:
