A few weeks ago, Avril Lavigne and Tyga were spotted kissing and made a coupley appearance at Paris Fashion Week. This was right after she dumped Mod Sun and it felt like an extremely random pairing. She usually goes for Canadians and theyre both throwbacks, but in very different ways. Anyway, apparently Avril and Tyga are still going strong-ish. Theyre not exclusive, but theyre spending a lot of time with together and are very into each other. Okay then!

Theyre very into each other, a source tells PEOPLE about the Girlfriend singer, 38, and Rack City rapper, 33, who have been romantically linked since they were spotted having dinner at Nobu in Los Angeles last month. They were later seen sharing a kiss during Paris Fashion Week.
They dont plan on rushing into a relationship, however, says the insider.
Theyre still not exclusive and just getting to know each other. Theyre taking things very slowly to be on the safe side and really get to know each other before diving into something serious, the source adds.
But they are spending a lot of time together, they add, noting that Tyga will be focused on his career soon. Hes about to get locked in working on new music.
Despite taking things slow, Tyga has gone all out and bought an $80,000 necklace for Lavigne.
The custom-made jewelry from Mavani & Co Jewelry features 50 carats of white and black diamonds, as well as Pink sapphires, founder Eric Mavani confirmed on March 19.
In an image of the necklace shared on Instagram, the piece can be seen with several pendants on it, including two of the letter A written over a Pink heart, as well as two skulls and crossbones accessorized with Pink ribbons. Lavignes first name also takes center stage at the front of the necklace.

I wonder whose camp the source came from. Probably Tygas since they mention his new music. Hm, is a couples collab on the horizon? Maybe thats why shes not getting serious. But really, what the source says is completely reasonable. Avril and Tyga have only been (publicly) hanging out for a month or so, so of course theyre still getting to know each other. I dont even think thats taking it slow its normal dating! But the talk of exclusivity sounds very early 20s for a couple that is in their mid-late 30s. And I guess taking it slow means something different for celebs, since Tyga had a custom $80,000 necklace made for Avril. Despite the cost, it looks um, just her style.

It?s been a while since anyone gossiped about Tyga, right? It feels like a blast from the past to talk about him at all, even though he never really went away and he?s only 33 years old. Tyga is best known as the ex of both Blac Chyna (they have son Cairo together) and Kylie Jenner. Back in the day, Tyga was Kylie?s first boyfriend, and they had a strained on-and-off relationship for years, then she dumped him and immediately started up with Travis Scott. Well, Tyga is in the news this week because it looks like he has a new girlfriend: Avril Lavigne, fresh from her broken engagement. She dumped Mod Sun several weeks ago (and didn?t tell him) and she?s already back in the dating pool.
Avril and Tyga have been at Paris Fashion Week in recent days, and last night, they were seen kissing at the Mugler x Hunter Schafer party. They also sat next to each other at a few runway shows, and they were seen looking quite cozy at the Mugler show. So? this is happening? As I said, Tyga is 33, and Avril is 38 (going on 18). Sometimes, these celebrity couplings have the feel of names pulled out of a hat. But? whatever, technically they?re both single. This reads as thirsty more than anything else like, Avril wants some attention, and Tyga does too, maybe.

Around this time last year, Avril Lavigne got engaged to Mod Sun, her then-boyfriend of about a year. He proposed in Paris, with a heart-shaped diamond ring, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Avril has already been married and divorced twice before, to Deryck Whibley and Chad Kroeger, and I think the reaction to her latest engagement was ?okay, sure, whatever you want, girl.? Maybe she wanted more drama or maybe they just fell apart, but Avril?s dumped Mod Sun and called off the engagement. The thing is, it doesn?t sound like she actually told him that she was dumping him.
She said, ?See you later boy.? Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun have called it quits and are no longer engaged. The ?Sk8er Boi? singer?s reps confirmed the breakup to Page Six on Tuesday.
However, the split appears to come as a surprise to Mod Sun, 35.
?They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that?s news to him,? his rep tells us. Despite being seemingly blindsided, we?re told the ?Karma? singer, who is currently still on tour, has no plans of slowing down when it comes to work.
?The show will happen tonight and tomorrow and for the rest of the tour,? his rep adds.
The former couple reportedly had been having issues in recent months, forcing them to break up and make up a few times, before finally ending the relationship for good. According to TMZ, cheating was not a cause for the split.
Lavigne, 38, and Mod Sun appeared to be amicable as of Tuesday afternoon ? as they both still follow each other on social media.
The news comes just days after Lavigne was spotted getting cozy with rapper Tyga at Nobu in Malibu, Calif., over the weekend.

I kind of admire Avil?s commitment to being Avril forever, you know? Her aesthetic is basically the same as it was twenty years ago, her stances on love and relationships have not changed or matured over time, and she?s still committed to being a bit dramatique. Dumping your fiance the second he leaves for a tour and announcing it publicly before telling him privately? Classic. I?m not mad at her it?s kind of funny? Poor Mod Sun, though. Yikes.

Since I was never an Avril Lavigne fan, I never paid much attention to the ridiculously detailed conspiracy theory that Avril died at some point and was ?replaced? by a body-double named Melissa Vandella. Ordinarily, I enjoy a good conspiracy theory, and if this was just a harmless and fun thought experiment, I might have gotten into it. But there was something really macabre about how detailed the conspiracy became, with theories about Avril dying by suicide and how ?Melissa?s face? looked so much different. What?s also weird is that? Avril still looks Avril. It?s not like she stepped out at some point with an entirely new face, which is what Lady Gaga, Renee Zellweger and Uma Thurman have all done in the past decade.
Anyway, the conspiracy theory has been around since 2005, and it?s grown to the point of established urban legend at this point. I?m pretty sure that Avril has addressed it in various ways in the past 13 years, but people are still asking. Avril is currently promoting her new music her first in years, since her Lyme Disease diagnosis and she called into the Australian radio show Kyle & Jackie O. They asked her about the conspiracy. This is what happened:
Of course none of this has never really been addressed by Avril herself, and so this morning while Kyle and Jackie O were chatting to the singer they decided to ask her about them straight out.
?What about, did you laugh at the rumours that went around where you no longer exist and there?s a clone of you??, asked Jackie.
Now this is where it gets a bit foggy. Avril?s answer could really be taken two different ways?Let us explain. On one hand, Avril can be heard laughing and saying that the rumours were strange. Meaning she might have been denying them.
?Yeah some people think that I?m not the real me which is so weird! Like why would they even think that,? she said. On the other hand, you could say that Avril never actually flat out denied them. Not only that, BUT what was incredibly strange and creepy was that as soon as Jackie asked this question, the phone line turned really weird! Avril went a bit robotic, cut out and times, and even accidentally started pressing random buttons making a beep sound! Is it just a coincidence that things started going haywire with the line as soon as we asked about the Melissa theories? Or was someone doing itDELIBERATELY!!

I?ve been looking around for the audio to see if it really was that weird. Now I?m wondering: am I on the wrong side of pop culture history? Is the ?Avril-is-dead-and-now-we?re-seeing-Melissa? conspiracy actually pop culture canon at this point? Am I the only who doesn?t believe it? I believe in a lot of dumb conspiracies, so why can?t I cross this particular bridge??

In April, Avril Lavigne revealed her battle with Lyme disease. She had previously alluded to mysterious health issues, although no one realized the severity of her illness. For five months, Avril was bedridden and could barely manage to shower once per week. At the time, Avril believed she was 80% better but still had to be careful. How terrifying to simply lose half a year of life to this disease.
Avril Lavigne visited GMA yesterday to talk about her ongoing recovery. She revealed that it took doctors forever to figure out what was wrong. They kept telling her it was all in her head.” It took Avril two months of her own research to figure out she might have Lyme disease, so she found a specialist. Avril wants to spread the word about how frustrating it is to deal with a misdiagnosed illness:
Her doctor’s attitudes: “I was in Los Angeles, and it was literally the worst time of my life. I was seeing every specialist, and literally like the top doctors … It was so stupid. They would pull up their computer and be like, ‘Chronic fatigue syndrome’ or ‘Why don’t you try to get out of bed, Avril, and just go play the piano?’ or ‘Are you depressed?’ This is what they do to a lot of people that have Lyme disease. They don’t have an answer for them, so they tell them … ‘You’re crazy.’”
Her progress: “I’m doing a lot better; seeing a lot of progress. I’m just really grateful to know that I will make a 100 percent recovery.”

Avril's still only halfway finished with her course of treatment, which includes antibiotics and lots of rest. The really unfortunate part about her case is that doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong, so a simple course of antibiotics wasn't enough. If Lyme is caught early enough, treatment can be much quicker. But Avril's case was prolonged by incompetent doctors. This sounds like what Ashley Olsen is dealing with in her rumored battle with Lyme.
In addition to spreading Lyme disease awareness, Avril is also promoting her new single, "Fly." The song will benefit the Special Olympics.

Avril Lavigne went underground at some point last year. She had been behaving normally (for her), promoting her album and shooting music videos and dealing with her disastrous marriage to Chad Kroeger, and then? she went dark. There were rumors that she was dealing with some kind of health crisis. There were rumors about drugs and alcohol too. And rumors about her marriage. It was all a big question mark, but now Avril is talking. She got the cover of this week?s People Magazine to discuss how she has been battling Lyme disease. Yikes!
I?m so afraid of Lyme disease, probably because I live in a somewhat half-suburban/half-rural area with lots of animals and fleas and ticks. My dog has brought ticks into the house before, and they always freak me out. I have a friend with Lyme disease too, and it was devastating for her ? she was in a wheelchair for six months and the doctors did next to nothing. She felt like she was dying. It sounds like Avril had a very similar experience. Some highlights from the People cover story:
She started getting really sick last October: ?I could barely eat, and when we went to the pool, I had to leave and go lie in bed. My friends asked, ‘What’s wrong?’ I didn’t know.”
Being diagnosed with a severe case of Lyme disease: “I had no idea a bug bite could do this. I was bedridden for five months. I felt like I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t talk and I couldn’t move. I thought I was dying. There were definitely times I couldn’t shower for a full week because I could barely stand. It felt like having all your life sucked out of you.”
Her fans: “They were asking about me since I was MIA, so I mentioned to one fan directly that I wasn’t feeling good. The get-well messages and videos they sent touched me so deeply.”
How she is now: ?I’m 80 percent better. This was a wake-up call. I really just want to enjoy life from here on out.”

Avril also told People that her mom moved in with her to take care of her and that Chad would come home in between Nickelback gigs to see her. While it doesn?t sound like her marriage is very strong, it does sound like Avril got some perspective. I feel sorry for her and it seems like her health really was in crisis. Poor Avril.
