I like this emerging trend of men playing with makeup while women dare to wear less. Austin Butler caused a stir this week when he attended the New York Dune 2 premiere with white eyeliner. Supposedly. It was very subtle and I struggled to see it in photos. By contrast, there was absolutely no mistaking Pamela Anderson?s lack of makeup when she showed up at Paris Fashion Week last fall. Pam has been going makeup-free as a matter of routine lately, to overwhelmingly positive feedback. Behind the scenes, though, there were those who were less enthused? her sons! In a new interview with Highsnobiety, Pam recounts that they (and her agents!) were ?horrified.?
Pamela Anderson covers Highsnobiety?s spring 2024 issue in a striking menswear look and her now-signature no-makeup look, opening up to the mag about her less-is-more aesthetic and why her DIY approach to fashion ?horrified? her sons.
The ?Baywatch? alum, 56, poses in a gray three-piece suit and tie on the cover, with the gardening enthusiast wrapping a blue hose around her neck as she gives the camera a steely gaze.
Anderson goes makeup-free on the cover, telling the publication that her ?face gets more interesting with age.?
?My boys were like, ?Mom, you must have a glam team.? And my agents were like, ?You have to have a glam team! Where?s the stylist??? she admitted in the interview.
However, the cover model ? who shares sons Brandon Thomas Lee, 27, and Dylan Lee, 26, with her ex-husband Tommy Lee, 61 ? shared she?d rather handle things herself.
?I go, ?I know how to put a dress on myself. I don?t need someone buttoning up my blouse. I got this.? And they were just horrified.?
The Canadian beauty told Highsnobiety that she?s ?harvested? her beauty routine from her garden, making her own oils.
?I make rose oil, which I do with rose hips,? she said. ?I?m interested in my Epsom salts, olive oils, and shea butter.?
As for fashion, Anderson ? who posed in a variety of designer menswear looks for the shoot ? said she likes to borrow from the boys in real life, too.
?I like wearing my ex-boyfriend?s Carhartt,? she revealed, adding, ?He was a construction worker.?
The ?Love, Pamela? author ? who went viral for attending Paris Fashion Week sans makeup ? also shared her thoughts on success, admitting that her sons can be ?materialistic.?
?I feel successful because I?ve overcome and gotten through certain things and feelings. And this drives my kids nuts because my kids are ambitious. They?re calculated. They?re men,? she shared.
Anderson continued that Brandon and Dylan are ?young, and they have all this passion. But they?re materialistic, and I keep going, ?Eh, it?ll pass.??

It?s not merely that Pam is going makeup-free these days. It?s that she?s sans-makeup and somehow looks more glowing than ever. I recommend the full Highsnobiety article, where you can tell the glow comes from lots of healing and growth and self-work. (Well, that and the garden of oils and potions she?s got brewing.) A particularly moving quote was, ?You fall in love with people there to expose a part of yourself that you need to get through. Relationships are mirrors.? I like this era of Pamela. And as for her boys, well first of all I love the image of young men going ?Mom, where is your glam team?!? But I actually found it really refreshing to hear how relaxed she was about them. She sees them clearly, warts and all. Yet she recognizes it?s where they?re at right now, not forever.

On January 20, Pamela Anderson married Jon Peters, the legendary producer and noted skeeve. Pamela and Jon had known each other for decades, and they even dated for a brief time many years ago. The wedding seemed sudden for all kinds of reasons, one of them being that no one even knew that Pamela and Jon were seeing each other again, or that they were even close enough to marry at this point. Then, twelve days after their sudden wedding, it was over. They separated and Pamela seemed over it. So what happened? Was January just a completely bonkers month and now that it?s February, Pam was like ?damn, what was I thinking?? And how did it even happen in the first place? Thankfully, Page Six has some interesting gossip:
Pamela Anderson jumped too fast into a marriage with Hollywood producer Jon Peters because she had just returned from a monthlong ?spiritual cleanse? in India, and her ?heart was open, but, in hindsight, too open,? sources exclusively tell Page Six. ?Baywatch? bombshell turned activist Anderson married the ?Star Is Born? producer and former hairdresser at a secret ceremony in Malibu in late January, only to split 12 days later.
But while the couple had dated briefly 30 years ago, Anderson, 52, spent only three days with Peters, 74, during the more recent go-round before they wed, a source says ? and then she immediately regretted their union. The source said, ?Pamela does not operate on the same wavelength as other people. She has a huge heart and she loves big, fast and hard.? They added, ?She came back from her trip and Jon said to her, ?I love you, let?s get married.? So she said, ?OK.??
The source said that immediately after they were married ? after they had spent a day and a half together as husband and wife ? she realized she had ?made a terrible mistake.? The source said that the actress and model found Peters to be overbearing, and too focused on fame, while she now prefers to spend more time out of the celebrity world and focusing on her charities and political and animal advocacy work. The source explained that Anderson felt Peters was ?trying to be too controlling over her.?
?Pamela felt that he was frustrated over how she wanted to maintain her financial independence ? He started to make calls about her career and cast her in a movie he was working on, things she didn?t want,? they said. We?re told that they never filed the formal paperwork for their marriage, so it wasn?t yet legal and therefore very simple to end. Peters didn?t get back to us.

So? they weren?t actually married? If those drunken Vegas weddings count, surely this one counts as well? Is it really that easy to say ?oh we never filed that one form, therefore we aren?t really married and no harm, no foul?? It feels like it could possibly get more complicated for Pam, but whatever. I do think it?s almost a little bit funny that she was with Jon for three days, they got fake-married and then a day later she was like ?good lord, I don?t even LIKE you?!? he sounds super-controlling and all of that, but? that?s why you spend more than three days with a guy before you fake-marry them.

Less than two weeks ago, Pamela Anderson got married for the fifth time. Her latest husband? Jon Peters, the famed Hollywood producer (and former hairdresser). I was shocked? that Jon Peters is still alive. Apparently, Pam and Jon had been friends for years and they first dated more than 30 years ago and they decided to get married out of nowhere. It was the fifth marriage for both, which is also A LOT. It wasn?t really an elopement her sons were at the wedding and they just kept it small. It seemed like a very strange story in general. And it?s getting even weirder:
Its over between Pamela Anderson and A Star Is Born producer, Jon Peters. The famed Baywatch actress officially called it quits with her husband, whom she married 12 days ago in a secret wedding ceremony in Malibu, Calif. After news broke that the two decided to go their separate ways for a second time?they previously dated each other 30 years ago?Anderson explained part of the reason for their split.
I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union, she shared in a statement to E! News. We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another.
Life is a journey and love is a process, the statement continued. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process.

Admittedly, in the months-long blur of the #MeToo movement rocking Hollywood one year ago, some stories fell through the cracks. I did cover Pamela Anderson?s interview, about 11 months ago, where she blamed all of Harvey Weinstein?s victims for, like, putting themselves in some kind of ?position? to be harassed, assaulted and/or raped. That Pam story was begging for a follow-up that never came? until now. Pamela is clearly off her rocker. Or maybe she?s just not self-aware, or self-reflective about what she?s actually saying. Pamela has spoken before about being molested and victimized as a child, but she?s got that white-woman Stockholm Syndrome thing where she?s still talking about how the #MeToo movement is trash or something. Some quotes from her interview with Australia?s 60 Minutes:
She thinks the #MeToo movement has gone ?too far.? ?I think this feminism can go too far. I?m a feminist, but I think that this third wave of feminism is a bore. I think it paralyzes men, I think this #MeToo movement is a bit too much for me. I?m sorry, I?ll probably get killed for saying that.?
On Harvey Weinstein?s victims: Anderson, 51, brought up the allegations against Harvey Weinstein and said it was ?common sense? to avoid those types of ?business meetings.? ?My mother taught me don?t go to a hotel with a stranger. If someone opens the door in a bathrobe and it?s supposed to be a business meeting, maybe I should go with somebody else. I think some things are just common sense. Or, if you go in ? get the job. I?m Canadian, I?m going to speak my mind. I?m sorry, I?m not politically correct.?
On being a sex symbol: ?I?d rather be a sex symbol than a? not a sex symbol. That?s a compliment, isn?t it? Every girl wants to be sexy. Every girl wants to be, you know, as beautiful or pretty as they can be. I never thought of myself as beautiful. I always thought of myself as kinda cute, a little funny and maybe I?ve improved with age.?

Of all the excuses and justifications people make for predators, one of the worst is surely ?well, you should have known.? It?s victim-blaming, pure and simple, to question a victim?s actions. With the Harvey Weinstein debacle especially, it?s increasingly clear that he was a cold-blooded psycho who had a small army of ?helpers? enabling (like, physically enabling) his systematic rape, assault and harassment of women. He had agents, managers, assistants, tabloid journalists helping him get women alone in hotel rooms, and when he couldn?t manipulate women into being alone with him, he simply used brute force to barge his way into their rooms or apartments or homes.
In any case, Pamela Anderson thinks Harvey Weinstein?s victims should have known better. They should have known better than to go to a meeting their agent set up. They should have known better than to be manipulated into going somewhere private to talk to a well-known producer about a role. They should have never worn that, or opened the door to him, or blah blah blah. You get the idea. In an interview with Megyn Kelly – who simpers and barely says anything about Pam?s victim-blaming – Pam goes from ?I was abused and had to learn not to blame myself for it? to ?here?s why Weinstein?s victims are to blame for being assaulted? in about one minute.

Pamela Anderson has stirred up controversy by suggesting Harvey Weinstein?s accusers shouldn?t have allowed themselves to be alone with him.
?It was common knowledge that certain producers or certain people in Hollywood or people to avoid, privately,? she told Megyn Kelly Thursday. ?You know what you?re getting into if you?re going into a hotel room alone.?
Anderson, who has spoken out about her own experiences with sexual abuse, went on to explain that when she was a young actress, she used her ?common sense? to avoid uncomfortable situations with certain producers.
?When I came to Hollywood, of course I had a lot of offers to do private auditions and things that made absolutely no sense,? she said. ?Just common sense: don?t go into a hotel room alone. If someone enters a door in a bathrobe, leave. These things that are common sense.?
When Kelly suggested that many of these women were lured into meetings by their agents or female assistants, Anderson said the women should have insisted another person be in the room. ?That?s what they should have done. Send somebody with them. I think there?s easy ways to remedy that. That?s not a good excuse,? she said. She continued, ?I know that Hollywood is very seductive and these people want to be famous. Sometimes you think you?re going to be safe with an adult in the room. I don?t know where this security comes from, but somehow I?ve dodged it all. I?ve been offered lots of things. A condo and a Porsche to be someone?s number one girl. I just naively said, ?Well there must be a number two then, so I?m not interested.? Money, homes, roles in movies. And I just didn?t want to do it that way. I had no desire. I?m a romantic and it didn?t appeal to me.?

GMAFB, Pam. I realize that she?s a victim of abuse too, and this is likely part of her way of controlling her own narrative. But she?s also 50 years old, old enough to know better. Old enough to understand the f–ked up victim-blaming she?s employing as a way to humblebrag that she?s Not That Kind of Girl. She?s basically saying that all of Weinstein?s victims were just looking to get famous by any means necessary, and that they have nobody but themselves to blame because Harvey Weinstein was a rampant sexual predator, obvs.
Pam is doubling down on her victim-blaming too – there was controversy immediately following this interview, and Pam responded by posting this to Instagram: “Backlash is good. – I like this. My position is not ‘problematic’ because I doesn’t fall in line with the common herd or trend. I’m trying to tell women as a survivor of childhood abuse myself – It is important to be proactive as an adult who knows better – in defending themselves.” There’s a difference between encouraging women to protect themselves and blaming women for being victimized, and Pam crossed that line.

In “things that might have been useful in the 90s” news, former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson is launching a new makeup line. The line is the result of a collaboration between Pamela and her long-time makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, who created her sexy looks for her Playboy shoots. The collection comes in two palettes, Pamela Pink and Pamela Nude. The palettes contain everything you need to achieve a bombshell look like Pamela’s – from glossy lips to smokey eyes. Why makeup and why now, you may ask? Pamela told People magazine, ?When you put makeup on, you want to look sexy and have fun and [Alexis and I] had this kind of specific look that we used to do and so she convinced me to do this little kit with her.?
The makeup is 100% vegan and cruelty-free and 10% of the proceeds from the line go to the Pamela Anderson Foundation, which “supports organizations and individuals that stand on the front lines in the protection of human, animal, and environmental rights.” That covers a lot of bases, doesn’t it? Pamela said that the kits are ideal for makeup novices, stating, ?[Vogel] is really clear on these little cards on how to do the cat eye, your lips, and I think that?s another big thing when it comes to that look is really the pouty lips ? the stain, the lip liner, and then the lipstick, and then the lip gloss.?
If you’re curious to see what the 48-year-old actress looks like au naturel, you can check her starring in a short film, Connected, that made its online debut last week. In the 10 minute film, Pamela plays a fitness instructor facing a midlife crisis. I never thought of Pam as much of an actress but she’s not bad in this – and it’s nice to see her face out from under all of the makeup and weaves. And, if you check out Pamela’s Instagram, it looks like she’s working on another project from Connected director Luke Gilford where she’s giving off some film noir leading lady realness.

She?s been dealing with Hepatitis C for the past sixteen years, and finally Pamela Anderson has been given a clean bill of health.
The ?Baywatch? babe took to her Instagram account to share the good news, following the successful trial of a new FDA-approved treatment over the summer.

Pamela Anderson announced on her Instagram on that she’s cured of Hepatitis C. Anderson, 48, told the press in 2002 that she developed the chronic disease after sharing a tattoo needle with her ex-husband, Tommy Lee. Apparently there’s a new antiviral regimen that’s much more effective than previous treatments and can cure about 80 to 95% of cases. Anderson has been on it, and she said back in August that she “could be cured within a month.” It may have taken a little longer than she expected, but she’s cured now and she made the announcement with a strategically covered nude photo and this news. (I’m not posting the picture as that affects our ads. You can see it on People Magazine.)

Damn that’s a lot of hashtags, but I’m happy for her that’s incredible. Anderson also told People this summer that she’s been feeling so much better since she started this treatment.
“I’m very fortunate that I’ve had Hep C for about 16 years,” says Anderson. “Sixteen years ago that was [presented to me] as a death sentence. I think it really worked on my self esteem. Even though I may have looked confident on the outside, I think it really was a dark cloud that lingered over me.”
“I don’t have any liver damage and I don’t have any side effects,” she says. “I’m living my life the way I want to but it could have eventually have caused me some problems and so it was a real blessing that I was able to get the medicine. I’m half way there.”
“I’m really excited,” says the author of the new coffee table book Raw. “I feel good. I feel so blessed.”
“I’ve always been an advocate of trying to remove stigma from hepatitis C from aids,” she says. “I think subconsciously [the disease] just works on you.”
Today, she feels better than ever. “I actually just look in the mirror everyday and I feel like I’m looking younger and younger and I feel like I’m getting those 20 years back.”

I didn’t even know it was possible to cure Hep-C. One of my friend’s moms has Hep-C after contracting it during a blood transfusion in the 1970s. (If I’m interpreting Wikipedia correctly, Hep-C wasn’t officially proven until 1989.) The new treatments are covered by some insurance companies, but not all and it can be insanely expensive to pay out of pocket. The medication can cost over $100,000 for a 12 week course of treatment. My friend’s mom was told to wait to get treatment until she was on Medicare when it would possibly be covered.
This makes me question how Anderson afforded this, because she’s had well publicized money problems. Kaiser reminded me that Sam Simon left her a ring worth $800k when he passed. (Page Six reported this but Anderson denied it.) It’s also possible that Anderson has insurance which covers the treatment. I’ve heard SAG insurance is very good if she has that. Anyway congratulations to Anderson! Hopefully this story will help increase the pressure on American insurance companies to cover this treatment.

Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon?s relationship has always been full of drama. They were married once, years ago, and it ended in disaster. Then they got back together a few years ago and got remarried. Last July, Pam filed for divorce (again). Then they reconciled and Pam got the court to throw out the divorce filing, then they broke up again earlier this year and Pam filed for divorce again. The split seemed ? at long last ? to be the final break. Pam filed for a restraining order against Rick because he was threatening and harassing her online and in real life. Pam also said Rick had abused her (like, he tried to suffocate her during sex).
There were also stories that Pam was trying to get some of Rick?s money ? several months ago, Rick won $40 million in a poker tournament and if Pam and Rick divorced in California, it could be considered community property, I suppose. Rick always maintained that he?s primary residence is in Nevada, which made for a sticky tax AND divorce situation. Basically, everything was a huge mess. But Pam and Rick worked it out ? financially.
Pam Anderson is a million dollars richer today, and Rick Salomon is a lot happier … because we’ve learned they got divorced. Pam and Rick were in a nuclear battle — he filed for an annulment, and she filed for divorce. TMZ broke the story, Pam allegedly held Rick’s dog Bumblebee hostage for a week, and then launched into a tirade that he was bad at sex … which didn’t jive with various text messages she sent him.
But now we’ve learned Rick paid Pam just north of $1 million in return for the divorce. But Rick got something as well. Pam was challenging his Nevada residency, claiming he was a California resident who was trying to dodge taxes on a $40 million poker win. Nevada doesn’t have state taxes. Now that they’re divorced, Pam isn’t contesting Rick’s residency, so she’s off his back. And Bumblebee is back with him, so happy endings.

I find it odd (?) that an animal-rights advocate like Pam would take her ex-husband?s dog hostage for a week as part of financial negotiation. I?m not saying she mistreated Bumblebee, but taking the dog does seem like a really harsh move for Pam in particular. As for the $1 million payday? she probably could have gotten more if she held out for longer (or if she had kept Bumblebee hostage for more time?) but I think Pam?s financial situation is pretty bad these days, and she probably didn?t want to drag it out for months or years. A bird in the hand, etc.
