The last time Emma Watson was on-screen was 2019?s Little Women, a film I hated and a film which was poorly cast across the board. Emma barely turned up for any Little Women promotion, which I noted at the time. She did one magazine cover and one premiere, while the rest of the actresses (plus Timothee Chalamet) had to do a big promotional tour for several months. Emma has not signed on to any films after that, and there have been zero ?casting rumors? around her either. So this was an obvious piece of news in the Daily Mail?s Talk of the Town column:
I thought only woodland creatures hibernated for winter, but apparently petite actresses do too. Emma Watson has gone dormant according to her agent. That appears to be movie-speak for shes given up acting.
I can reveal the Harry Potter star, who has been famous since she was nine, has decided to step back from the limelight to spend time with rumoured fiance Leo Robinton, who shes been dating for 18 months. I understand that for several weeks until January, Emma, 30, and Leo ? who reportedly makes a fortune selling legal cannabis in LA ? secretly lived in Ibiza where she would spend mornings reading the papers over smoothies at a vegan cafe.
She is now in LA, where a picture was taken this month, but her publicist confirms her career is dormant and she is not taking on new commitments.

I know Emma has a big fanbase and I like her too, as a person but this is not the worst thing in the world. Emma is not a great actress and even in the last few films she made, her heart did not seem into it at all. In recent years, she?s mostly used her fame and platform to talk about feminism, literature and self-education. Which is totally fine! Normalize that normalize actresses stepping away from their acting careers to pursue their real passions! I don?t even believe that Emma stepped away from acting just for a guy I think she?s been looking for a way out for a while, and this just happened to be good timing for her.

Since Gwyneth Paltrow generally believes that she alone discovered-and-invented everything Asian, it?s little surprise that Gwyneth has recently revealed that she also invented mask-wearing AND Covid-19. She was catching Covid before everyone else, and she caught the virus even though she invented mask-wearing in February 2020. Gwyneth recently described her long-running symptoms from Covid, and she said that even a year later, she still has ?fatigue? and ?brain fog,? which she?s curing with a strict Keto diet mixed with fasting and infrared saunas, of course. Her comments got so much play that now an NHS chief has publicly taken Gwyneth to task for her near-constant promotion of pseudoscience.
Gwyneth Paltrow has been urged to stop spreading misinformation by the medical director of NHS England after she suggested long Covid could be treated with ?intuitive fasting?, herbal cocktails and regular visits to an ?infrared sauna?. The Hollywood star, who markets unproven new age potions on her Goop website, wrote on her latest blogpost that she caught Covid-19 early and had since suffered ?long-tail fatigue and brain fog?.
Paltrow said that after turning to the advice of a ?functional medicine practitioner?, she was told ?this was a case where the road to healing was going to be longer than usual?. She then embarked on a ?keto and plant-based? diet, involving fasting until 11am every day, ?lots of coconut aminos? and sugar-free kombucha and kimchi. Paltrow went on to recommend her brand?s Madame Ovary supplement and Seedlip, ?the incredible herbal nonalcoholic cocktails?. She added: ?I?m doing an infrared sauna as often as I can, all in service of healing.?
Paltrow also suggested there was evidence for the efficacy of such a diet. ?I?ve been doing major research and finding some great stuff to support what I?m doing,? she wrote.
However, her unproven advice prompted a stern rebuke from Prof Stephen Powis, national medical director for NHS England, who urged influencers such as Paltrow against spreading misinformation. He said: ?In the last few days I see Gwyneth Paltrow is unfortunately suffering from the effects of Covid. We wish her well, but some of the solutions she?s recommending are really not the solutions we?d recommend in the NHS.?
Powis added: ?We need to take long Covid seriously and apply serious science. All influencers who use social media have a duty of responsibility and a duty of care around that. Like the virus, misinformation carries across borders and it mutates and it evolves. So I think YouTube and other social media platforms have a real responsibility and opportunity here.?

I mean? at this point can we just talk about Gwyneth as a complete loser? Yes, she?s rich, and yes, she peddling really dangerous pseudoscience, but mostly I just think we need to reimagine how we speak and write about Gwyneth. She sucks and she?s a loser. She?s stuck up her own ass, she has a dangerous ideology (based on an insane Diet Culture) and she says and does ?outrageous? sh-t to get attention. She?s really not all that different from some lower-tier Real Housewife. Anyway, yes, when I covered Gwyneth?s original comments, I noted how Gwyneth?s answer to every medical issue is ?go on a diet.? It makes perfect sense that her answer to inventing Covid is some kind of pseudoscientific argument for starving yourself.

In early January, the NY Post ran a cover story about how Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were getting a divorce (although no one had filed at the time). Days later, the January 6th insurrection happened and there was a viral tweet making a joke about how Kris Jenner had organized the insurrection to change the subject from Kim?s third divorce. It was a funny joke, but the truth of the matter is that Kim is actually desperate for us to pay attention to the sh-tty state of her marriage. She?s been using People Magazine as her diary and therapist for the past year, telling them all about what?s going on with Kanye and what she?s thinking about their separation and divorce. Now that Kim has finally filed for divorce the news dropped last Friday she?s once again running to People to beg gossips to pay attention to her drama. Some highlights from like three separate People exclusives:
Kim is spending time with family during this difficult time: Although Kim and Kanye have been separated for months, it was still emotional for Kim to actually file for divorce, the source says. She spent the weekend taking care of herself and her kids. She is spending time with her mom, sisters and hasnt been working. Everyone is supportive. Kim feels very lucky to be surrounded by her big family.
Kim is disappointed: There is no drama between Kim and Kanye. Kim is mostly just disappointed that they couldnt figure out how to stay married. But it takes two people to create a happy marriage, the source says. Kim has felt Kanye is not willing to do the hard work and compromise.
They?re in agreement about the divorce terms: According to a source, the stars are in agreement over joint legal and physical custody, neither is contesting the prenup in place, negotiations have progressed and they are nearing a settlement. A separate source tells PEOPLE that the divorce proceedings, including their co-parenting plan, unfolded swiftly. The parenting plan and split of assets came together quickly, in the past few days, the source says. Kim and Kanye basically wanted the same thing.
Sources confirm that Kim is super-amazing: According to the source, Kardashian has been fair and generous as well as thoughtful and caring amid her split from West, who has bipolar disorder. Shes worried about sending him into another tailspin, because thats not good for anyone, especially the kids, the source says. So shes being as gentle and kind as she can be, while still standing up for what she feels she needs to stand up for. A second source says that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and the rapper are on the same page when it comes to their children. Both of them want nothing but the best for the kids, the source says. They want the kids to be happy. The kids will stay with Kim, but Kanye will be able to see them whenever he wants to. They will work out a schedule that is good for everyone.

It?s crazy because I?m actually on her damn side in this divorce and I believe that she has been very careful to do everything gently. But baby girl really needs to stop telling People Magazine that she?s the most thoughtful, generous, lovely, amazing woman ever. I mean, I know well enough that no one ever wants to give Kim credit for anything positive, so these People leaks are just her way of preemptively defending herself. But YIKES!

Paris Hilton got engaged over the Valentine?s Day weekend. It was especially exciting because her family was celebrating her 40th birthday so it was a Paris Extravaganza. One thing that was oddly downplayed at the time was the massive diamond fianc Carter Reum used to propose. If you remember Paris? engagement to Chris Zylka (not to be confused with her engagements to Jason Shaw or Paris Latsis), the 20 -carat, pear-shaped, custom designed diamond engagement ring was heavily featured in the announcement. Some might say more than Chris. In addition to the rock extending past Paris? knuckle, it got attention because 1) it bore a resemblance to a similar ring Cardi B had been showing off about the same time and 2) absolutely no one believed that Chris either designed it or paid for it himself.
This engagement, the ring was only partially visible in photos and very few details were leaked. It looked to be the same size of the Zylka pear diamond, but it was clear this was an emerald cut monster. It was reported that the ring was designed by Jean Dousset, who is the great-great grandson of Louis Cartier, but that?s all we got. I, foolishly, thought it was because the emphasis this engagement was on love. No, it was because the ring was getting its own night. Last Tuesday, wearing all black, Paris blinded most of Malibu as she went to dinner wearing signature fingerless gloves.

On Tuesday, the singer made her first public appearance since announcing her engagement to Carter Reum as she stepped out for a late-night dinner in Malibu with her husband-to-be.
Hilton, 40, had her massive engagement ring on display, matching the sparkler to her shiny face mask.
The entrepreneur dressed in an all-black ensemble for her night out, wearing a long-sleeve collared shirt tucked into a leather mini skirt. She also accessorized her look with sheer black tights, suede booties and fingerless gloves.
Reum, 40, proposed to Hilton after a year of dating on Feb. 13 while the couple celebrated her 40th birthday on a private island. Reum popped the question with a one-of-a-kind diamond engagement ring.
The mega-carat, emerald-cut sparkler was designed by jeweler Jean Dousset ? the great-great-grandson of famed French jeweler Louis Cartier.

Note, this time she didn?t even bother to include the fianc. You can see a larger photo of the ring on Brides Magazines website. Paris also posted this video to her YouTube channel of the ring being designed. The video is gorgeous. It also helped me figure out the shape of the giant baguettes, which I couldn?t make out in the pics but they are trap cut diamonds. I was going to make some snarky comments about why have a ?custom? designed ring that is essentially just a giant Emerald cut diamond with side stones, but the video shows the elaborate side work under the diamond so I get it now. It?s not my taste, but I think that applies to most of Paris? lifestyle. Except for the all black, ring reveal outfit she chose. That?s adorable.
What is also not my style is Paris? choice of birthday gift. I am so happy I came across this story in Vanity Fair, it?s made my whole week. Paris gifted her now fianc Carter Reum a giant painted portrait of him kissing her forehead for his birthday. In the video, they promise to find the perfect place to hang it. But, I think they?re in her house. So I guess he can visit it when he?s allowed over? Maybe that?s why he proposed, because he couldn?t imagine being away from his portrait? I know I couldn?t.

Performing in As You Like It just after Jude cheated: ?That was one of the most challenging moments I hope I?ll ever have to experience. On the fake baby in American Sniper: ?I actually want to get that baby! I just like the moment where Bradley?s holding it and he tries to make it look real by wiggling its little arm. We?ve laughed about that many times. It?s funny, because I think there was at one time a real baby, then there was an animatronic baby, and I don?t know why we had a doll baby in that scene. But look, the movie worked!?
Memories of Heath Ledger: ?A boat would pick me up in the morning, take me across the Grand Canal, and pick up Heath in an apartment which was opposite mine. We?d have a Walkman with two earbuds, and he?d have one and I?d have the other, and we got to ride down the Grand Canal listening to music on the way to work. We shot in St. Mark?s Square, and the only day they gave us permission to shoot was when the city flooded, so by the time we were doing our close-ups we were up to our waists in water! I mean, yeah, that 2005/Jude Law era of her life was legitimately crazy. She was just enjoying herself, being an It Girl, thinking she would marry this handsome actor. And then everything exploded and she couldn?t walk anywhere without ten paparazzi harassing her. I also think LA was never an option for her because Balthazar Getty?s wife Rosetta is one of the most well-connected women in LA, and Sienna would have been shunned. All of that can be true at once!

Last October, we learned that Katharine McPhee was expecting her first child with husband David Foster. There was a lot of interest in that story for a couple of different reasons. One, Foster is almost twice Katharine?s age. She?s 36 years old, he?s 71. The second thing was that Foster already has five daughters, all of whom are adults. His youngest daughter is 34. His oldest daughter is 50. And now David Foster, 71, is finally the father of a son. Katharine gave birth to a boy this week.
Katharine McPhees baby has arrived! The Smash actress, 36, has welcomed her first child, a son, with husband David Foster, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.
Katharine McPhee and David Foster have welcomed a healthy baby boy, the rep tells PEOPLE. Mom, Dad and son are all doing wonderfully.
Sources confirmed to PEOPLE in October that McPhee and Foster were expecting. At the time, the couple were spotted in Montecito, California, having lunch and shopping for baby buys.
The couple tied the knot in June 2019 after first meeting in 2006, when Foster mentored McPhee and other contestants on season 5 of American Idol. Foster is already father to daughters Sara, 40, Erin, 38, and Jordan, 34, whom he shared with second wife Rebecca Dyer, and daughters Allison, 50, and Amy, 47, from previous relationships.
