On the career front for Blanchett, the Oscar winner is set to star in a production of Botho Strauss? ?Big and Small (Gross and Klein) at London?s Barbican Theatre.
With Benedict Andrews directing, the limited offering begins on April 13th and concludes on April 29th.

It was rumored that “Pan Am” was already given the boot, but ABC says it still plans to continue it for another season. You have Ashley Greene’s hotness to thank for those additional 10 episodes, because it was the only reason that crappy show made it. And don’t think she doesn’t know it, either. Radar Online says:
“Ashley came rolling on to the [Pan Am] set acting like a queen bee,” an insider [said].
“She was stuck-up with the crew and acted like appearing on TV amounted to slumming. She referred to herself as a ‘real movie star,’ and said she was sure her guest stint would boost ratings.”
The 24-year-old actress was [also] completely cold to her costars.
“Ashley didn’t want to socialize with Christina Ricci or Kelli Garner, the stars of the show,” the source says. “They had organized a welcome lunch for Ashley, but she blew them off. That was extremely off-putting to everyone.”

According to random gossip, Viggo is a homewrecker – Ariadna was married (with a kid too) when she met Viggo, and they had some kind of affair. My take on this situation is that Ariadna is his ?official? girlfriend but in his mind, they aren?t exclusive. Ariadna has been his ?official? for years now – I guess Viggo isn?t the kind of dude who wants to get married again – he only did it once, when he was very young. He?s too much of a poet, I suppose, to get married again.

There have been rumors that Demi Moore went off to in-patient rehab, as you might expect a celebrity to do in so high profile an overdose case as Demi’s. According to a new report on E! Online that’s not true, and Demi has just been seeking “spiritual” help. Demi is a longterm member of the Kabbalah cult. She supposedly went on a couples Kabbalah weekend in the woods with Ashton during their marriage crisis. We know how that turned out, and we also know that Kabbalah is just as money-grubbing, and probably as ineffective, as any other cult run by people who are in it to get rich.
This is what Demi does when she’s in crisis, she turns to Kabbalah and probably drinks some expensive phony blessed water mixed with Red Bull, with which she washes down Adderall. She’s not ready to get help yet, so she’s turning to people she pays a lot of money to give her a religious experience that probably in no way challenges her. I’m making assumptions based on how she’s done under Kabbalah so far, along with some things that Madonna’s estranged brother, Christopher Ciccone, said about Kabbalah. He said that”Kabbalah in many ways has validated some of [Madonna's] bad behavior. Now it?s her way or no one?s way because she?s got God on her side… she has a tendency to use it like a weapon.” Demi is less aggressive than Madonna (like almost everyone on the planet), but I could see Kabbalah enabling their celebrity members. It’s not like they’re going to question one of their main donors. Here’s E!’s report, which also states that Demi’s youngest daughter, Tallulah, has been living with her dad, Bruce Willis. Tallulah turns 18 on Friday. Bruce’s second wife, Emma Heming, is pregnant. They made the announcement in late October so she’s probably at least six months along now. Rumer has been seen out and about and seems to have confirmed that Demi is not in rehab.
While rumors have surfaced suggesting she’s already entered a residential rehab facility (with Utah’s Cirque Lodge among the most speculated upon), sources tell E! News that as of last week, at least, Moore was not enrolled in such a program. Her exact whereabouts are uncertain, as she has yet to surface in public since her dramatic hospitalization, though as of Sunday she was not yet back at her Beverly Hills home.
However, sources close to the Striptease star tell E! News that Moore has been receiving some sort of “spiritual counseling.”
Meanwhile, Demi’s daughters are getting back to their usual routines, with both Rumer and Tallulah turning up at the Four Seasons Hotel Sunday afternoon, possibly for a spa day. On Saturday night, Rumer was also out and about, dining with friends at a French restaurant.
Their sister, Scout, is currently at Brown University and hasn’t been back in L.A. since the hospitalization.

I would say that Demi should have someone close to her advising her that she needs to go to rehab at least for the sake of her image, but she didn’t have anyone advising her not to push the “sexy and single” angle she’s been playing since the split. Demi doesn’t have anyone around her who is able to get through to her, and if she’s been hopped up on Red Bull and ADHD stimulants for months, it’s probably impossible to talk to her anyway. I want to see her get sober and healthy and gain some necessary weight. She’s not ready yet though. I really hope that she will come to the realization on her own without sliding even further downhill. Wasn’t it humiliating enough for her to have all these details leaked to the press? Pride can be a fragile and harmful thing.

I actually knew that, because as soon as they got together, they did a ?photo shoot? together at Disneyland or something, and it was really clear that this was just a professional ?relationship? – like Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens or something. Emma really tried to make this thing with Chord (I can?t with that name) happen, but? it just never ?took?.
Not-so-gleeful news. Chord Overstreet and Emma Roberts have split after 9 months together, two sources confirm to Us Weekly.

The cute couple were first caught making out last April at the A|X Armani Exchange and 944 Magazine carnival in Indio, Calif., and finally went public in July with a stroll through London.
Roberts — actress Julia Roberts’ niece — once dated Hollywood bad boy Alex Pettyfer. Overstreet’s exes include Taylor Swift (he was her brief rebound last winter following her split from Jake Gylllenhaal) and Glee costar Naya Rivera.
What went wrong? “They’re both young kids, they had crushes on each other but the relationship ran its course,” one source explains to Us. “She isn’t and wasn’t looking for a serious thing.” Roberts, who partied solo in Sundance, is “back to having fun now.”
“He’s so nice and was such a good boyfriend,” another insider says of Overstreet. “He was always so sweet.”

Emma has been getting more press than usual lately – she went to Sarah Lawrence for a whole semester (not really), and then she ?deferred? (dropped out) because college is SO HARD and she wanted to pap herself in LA. I?m surprised the college thing wasn?t used as an excuse here – ?Emma was pursuing her education, and the relationship suffered? etc. Someone needs a better publicist.

Even though Glee lost out to Modern Family for Best Comedy Series Ensemble at Sunday’s SAG Awards, the evening still proved to be a success for Chord Overstreet, who managed to meet his favorite esteemed actor!
The 22-year-old Glee star’s big moment came after the SAG Awards had wrapped inside Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium, at one of the evening’s after parties.
“Chord Overstreet met Brad Pitt, his idol, and was ecstatic about it!” a source from inside the event tells Us Weekly. “People literally stopped in their tracks as Brad and [Angelina Jolie] walked by — you could overhear other celebrities talking about how beautiful and handsome they were.”

Casper came to both tapings because? what else does he have to do? He?s the Stacy Keibler of purse-holders.
I read yesterday that Jennifer Lopez has just been announced as a presenter for this year?s Oscars – Lainey at LaineyGossip was complaining about it because this likely means that Jennifer will bring Casper as her official Oscar date. Really, though, why is that NOT something to look forward to? It?s not like Jennifer doesn?t have a history of bringing whoever she?s attached to onto the red carpet. Cris Judd, anyone? Cris Judd made it to the Oscars – that was the year Jennifer wore see-through Chanel and Oscar producers ordered the cameras to only shoot her from the shoulders up. And that was back when Jennifer was in the prime of her relevance too – what will this year bring? I?m sure it will be hideous. I?m sure the dress will be epic and ?show stopping? and I?m sure Casper will be cleaned up and rammed into a tux, and he?ll share a moment with George Clooney. It will be awesome.
PS? what?s with all the fur? Jennifer has always worn fur, sure, but she did two outfits yesterday that were fur-based. Yes, that?s a fur-trim ON THE SKIRT.

When I think of this year?s Oscar races, it?s basically come down to ?Anybody but Clooney? in the Best Actor category. I want Brad Pitt to win, but failing that, anybody but Clooney. At this point, I have similar feelings about the Best Actress race – Anybody But Michelle. Part of the problem is Michelle wants to win an Oscar for playing Marilyn Monroe, one of the most icon ?sexy? women ever. And Michelle just? isn?t. She isn?t sexy. I saw My Week With Marilyn, and I thought she gave a solid performance, but the film is deeply flawed (it?s ridiculous at various points towards the end), and Michelle?s performance is uneven because of her lack of sex appeal and her wonky voice work.
But Michelle is considered a major contender, up there with Meryl Streep and Viola Davis. I personally think Viola is going to take it home, but God knows. Michelle could be a spoiler – IF her Oscar campaign works. Which is a big IF. I think Michelle?s Oscar campaign still has some significant rough edges. Mostly because I think the ?little girl lost? thing is just an act, and I think many, many people see through it. But there?s also a problem with her schizophrenic messaging. ?Sexy? Michelle versus ?Single Mom? Michelle versus ?Little Girl Lost? Michelle versus ?The Widow Ledger? Michelle. Thus far in the campaign, she?s posed in her underwear on the cover of GQ, flashing her cleavage and baring her body, but it felt so creepy and invasive because it was joined with a tear-soaked, ?fragile? interview. She wants to be seen as a capable single mother? but she won?t stop talking in that affected little-girl voice. I could go on and on, but the whole thing is just upsetting me. Anyway, Michelle is currently taking pointers from Natalie Portman?s Oscar Campaign last year – more focus on all of the ?mom? stuff. Which is why we?re getting this new interview:
Michelle Williams may be raking in trophies and accolades for her work in My Week With Marilyn, but nothing compares to the pride that comes along with her biggest role to date: Mom to 6-year-old daughter, Matilda.
In fact, Williams, 31, has cleared her schedule of upcoming film projects in order to spend more time at home with her little girl.
“I just want to go back to being a mom for a while,” Williams — who welcomed Matilda with the late Heath Ledger in 2005 — told E!’s Giuliana Rancic on Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild red carpet.
Raising her daughter as a single mom, Williams admitted to GQ that she had hoped to give her a sibling, at least before ex Ledger’s 2008 death.
“I really wanted, and I really expected or imagined, that Matilda would have siblings that were close to her age. I wanted that for her. But I couldn’t make that happen,” Williams explains. “And now that she’s 6 that isn’t even a possibility anymore. So something that was making me feel impatient, that’s been removed. For whatever reason, that’s not our luck, or our path.”
In the meantime, Williams is anxious to share Ledger’s legacy with his daughter, who was just 3 at the time of his death.
“You know, as hard as certain things have been for me, it’s been harder thinking about how things will be for her,” she has said. “I have a lot of things that she doesn’t, and some of what I have I can give to her — the memories that I have, the objects that I have, the physical reminders that I have, the stories.”

For the love of all that is holy. I do NOT understand the conversation about giving Matilda siblings – I understand what she?s saying explicitly – that she missed the window to give Matilda siblings close to her age. But what?s the implication here? Is Michelle seriously implying that because Heath isn?t around to father any more babies, Michelle is simply not going to have any more babies ever? What?s implicit is that Michelle?s vadge has closed up shop through grief – I guess we?re not supposed to remember that she?s dated several men since Heath died (and she was seeing other men when he was still alive?)? I truly believe that Michelle?s subtext is that she?s gotten some kind of second virginity through grief. That?s what she?s selling – virginal, untouched, fragile, delicate, easily broken. It?s BS.
As for the ?taking a break? thing – fine. Sure. Good for her. She?s much, much too ?fragile? to handle much more of this.

Kristen Stewart has been in Paris the past few days, and these are some photos of Kristen leaving a meeting/photo shoot. She decided to flip off? someone. Or some group of people, likely her fans or the paparazzi. You know, because she?s SO HARDCORE. I?m so tired of seeing this girl?s middle finger, I can?t even tell you. This is her default action, and IMO it speaks volumes about her default brattiness. I wonder what Karl Lagerfeld thought of Kristen?s antics? I can?t imagine he was impressed.
At first, people didn?t know why she was there, but after these photos came out, people began putting all of the pieces together. She was working with Karl Lagerfeld (who you can see in one of these photos) and Mario Testino for a photo shoot for Vanity Fair. I?m assuming it?s for American Vanity Fair, but it?s possible it could be for an international edition. Kristen was spotted posing for Testino in one of Paris?s famous parks, all while decked out in (likely Chanel) couture – you can see the photo here. Do you know how many young actresses would kill for even a fraction of the opportunities Kristen is handed? Do you know how harshly those ladies would be judged if they threw their middle finger up at the drop of a hat? Why does Kristen get a pass again? Because she?s always so twitchy, sullen and unprofessional, and people have just gotten used to it? I?m just saying? Jennifer Lawrence is the same age as Kristen. If you were a casting director, who would you want? Twitchy McBird-Waver or Classy McOscar-Nom?
Also, there?s a rumor going around that Kristen will be the Cannes Film Festival this year – On the Road is likely going to be submitted for competition. Lip-biting on the French Riveria? oh la la.

Last night was the UK premiere of This Means War, that absolutely horrible-looking Reese Witherspoon vehicle which is just a rip-off of Mr. and Mrs. Smith (only in this one, the two spies are dudes and ?the girl? is just a clumsy ditz!). Reese wore Louis Vuitton for the premiere, which? maybe on Cate Blanchett, I might kind of like this dress. But is it just me, or is this dress really unflattering on Reese?s figure? It makes her look really thick in the middle, and she?s NOT. It also makes her look like she?s hiding a boob job, which she very well may be hiding (new husband, new boobs?). Should I even say anything about the bangs (trauma)? I think Reese has a pretty heart-shaped face, and these scraggily, flat-ironed bangs don?t do much. I almost wish she had just kept the Jennifer Aniston-esque ?beachy ditz? styling.
So unflattering. Why is she smiling like that? She?s going to bust something, she?s trying so hard.
Reese?s costars also walked the red carpet – here?s Chris Pine. This boy is handsome, but he does nothing for me. I think his attractive face seems kind of douchey.
But Tom Hardy was also there, and I need some alone time with these photos. JESUS. *fans self* Tom Hardy with a beard and a scarf? Who knew? He looks gorgeous. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), Tom seems to be back with his ex-fiance, Charlotte Riley. They broke up a year ago (after Tom seemed to have gotten cozy with Lindsay Lohan!!!), but I guess they?re back on. She was at the premiere too, and they posed together briefly, but not exclusively. Don?t even get me started on her bow-covered dress.

True story: yesterday?s Christina Aguilera story grossed me out. Christina performed at Etta James?s funeral, and the whole thing was arguably disastrous. My take was that Christina made the funeral about her drunken wailing, her sketchy, gross-looking bolt-ons, and the fact that she had something dripping down her legs. Oh, and she probably wasn?t wearing panties. That?s the gross part – worst case scenario, she was dribbling urine or menstruation, which likely means Christina was going commando to a FUNERAL. Best case scenario, Christina was drunk and overheated, and she sweated off several layers of body makeup/fake-tan. Anyway, Christina has heard our cries of ?EWWwwww? and she (an ?insider?) tells Us Weekly what was really going on:
Xtina did Etta proud. Christina Aguilera sang at Saturday’s memorial service at an L.A. church for the late Etta James — crooning the legendary blues’ singer’s classic “At Last” for hundreds of mourners. (Stevie Wonder sang with the church choir, while Rev. Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy.)
In photos of Aguilera’s incredible tribute to James — who passed away Jan. 20 — fans noticed odd streaks running down her legs.
“She sang her heart out. It was a memorial service for her idol and she was nervous,” an insider explains to Us of the performance. (Aguilera, 31, has been covering “At Last” for years and called James “a true gift to music and a woman of great spirit and courage” on her website after James’ death.”
“It was her proudest moment,” the source explains. “The sweat caused her spray tan to streak.”

Do you like how Us Weekly broke up that quote? ?She was nervous?? AND? She was nervous, so she piddled on herself? She was nervous so she had diarrhea? She was nervous because she wasn?t wearing drawers in church?!?! TELL ME. Ah, she was nervous and sweating. Got it. That?s what I originally thought too, but in other photos I?ve seen of the sketchy liquid, I have to admit? (ugh)? I think she might have gotten her period. I don?t know.

Keira Knightley kind of has the same problem as Michelle Williams – for the past few years, Keira has been selling a particular kind of image of herself (quiet, subdued, not sexy, not famewhore-y, ?real actress?) and it?s startling to see her do a revealing photo shoot and interview. But unlike Michelle Williams, Keira has never tried to convince us that she?s oh-so-fragile. Keira has always put herself out there as competent, assured, self-contained, and never helpless. Which makes this ?sexy? GQ UK photo shoot for the March issue NOT cringe-inducing. I actually think Keira pulls it off – she looks sexy and even dare I say? healthy. Like she?s back on solid food.
Keira is still promoting A Dangerous Method, which has just come out in the UK, I believe. In the interview, she talks about more about being spanked by Michael Fassbinder (this bitch!!!!) and about how American audiences are generally more supportive of her:

Keira Knightley, more commonly seen in the bonnets and bustles of period dramas, poses provocatively in a series of outfits that leave little to the imagination.
The actress wears nothing more than a low-cut jumper, high heels and blood red lipstick in one shot, while in another, she shows off her long legs as she reclines on a chaise lounge in a 1950s-style swimming costume.
Another of the images, which will appear in the March issue of GQ magazine, shows the 26-year-old modelling a tasselled black jacket as she runs her fingers through her hair.
Perhaps Miss Knightley was getting into the spirit of her latest role in A Dangerous Method, which she almost turned down after telling director David Cronenberg that some scenes were too risque.
She told an interviewer: ‘I said, I love you, I love the script. But I don?t think it?s something I can do, so I might have to turn it down. Once he said he didn?t want it to be sexy or voyeuristic, and as soon as I got my head around the S&M mentality, I said, “Okay, let?s do it”.’
Miss Knightley also spoke about how different the perceptions are of her in both America and her home country.
She explained: ‘The Americans are generally a lot more supportive. They generally like the work a lot more than they do here. It is what it is, I suppose. It could just be that I?m not to a lot of people?s tastes. Which is fine. Well it?s not, obviously. You want to be to everyone?s taste… But, I think it?s better to do your own thing rather than try to please everyone and just be this mushy thing in the middle.. Sometimes it?s like water off a duck?s back, and sometimes it really hurts… and then you go away and cry for an hour or so, and then pick yourself up again…’
?I’ve always tried to give everything 100 per cent…if you’re not working what are you? You’re lazy. You’re doing nothing and what the **** is that?? she tells GQ.
The actress has been dating musician James Righton, 28, from the band Klaxons, for almost a year. Her last relationship with Pride & Prejudice co-star Rupert Friend ended in December 2010 after five years.
But she said she is happier than she has ever been with her life right now, adding: ‘I?m actually loving this bit right now – doing the work I?m doing, having the life I can have around it. Right now, it?s really good.’
Miss Knightley also revealed to GQ that she read the work of Jung and Sigmund Freud while researching her latest role.
She said: ?I vaguely knew it was about sex and blaming your parents. Apart from that I had no idea. So I had to do quite a lot of research to understand what they were talking about and understand where [Sabina] was coming from and the nature of the illness that she had.’
The film, which has its UK premiere tonight, tells the story of a love affair between Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung and his beautiful patient Sabina Spielrein, played by Miss Knightley.

Keira also discusses her battle with dyslexia – you can read her comments here. I do think she sounds good – healthy, mentally, emotionally, and hopefully physically. I like that she spent a few years away, not doing many films and working on the stage. It was a smart career move. Too few actors actually go away and let people MISS them, you know? And Keira has been missed – as much as she?s criticized, she is one of the more talented young actresses out there.

The audio from the 911 call made from Demi Moore’s home the night she went into a drug-induced seizure has been online for several days now, but for some reason people are just now getting around to noticing that her daughter Rumer is mentioned on the recording. The Daily Mail says:
During the 911 call, a male caller appears use [Rumer's] nickname, saying: ‘Hey, Ru, what’s the name at the gate so that we can buzz [the paramedics] in?’
A panicked female caller can first be heard saying: ‘She smoked something. It’s not marijuana, but it’s similar to incense… she’s convulsing and semi-conscious, barely.’
I can’t imagine anything lamer than doing whip-its with Rumer fucking Willis. In fact, “doing whip-its with Rumer Willis” sounds like some kind of punishment. Like something you’d make a pledge do right before you force them to eat a bowl of mayonnaise in between jumping jacks.
