It has to be said, (the white) Michelle Williams was the perfect choice to narrate Britney Spears? memoir, The Woman in Me. When the news came out several weeks ago, Michelle made a statement about how she ?stands with Britney,? and you can tell that Michelle really means it. She is really great at book narration, specifically for Britney?s whole vibe. Basically, everyone believes that Michelle will win a Grammy for this. Note: Michelle doesn?t actually have an Oscar or a Tony, although she?s been nominated for both. She does have an Emmy, so she?s well on her way to EGOTing. Surprising absolutely no one, Britney Spears has revealed that Justin Timberlake cheated on her when they were together circa 2001-2002. Twenty years later, we?re finally getting that vindication and that truth. For years, Justin ?slut-shamed? Britney and left enough breadcrumbs to lead fans to believe that he dumped Britney for cheating on him. When really, he got Britney pregnant, convinced her to get an abortion, cheated on her and then wrote ?Cry Me A River? about Britney cheating on HIM.
Britney Spears took most of the blame for years after she and Justin Timberlake split due to speculation she cheated but shes accusing him of doing the same with another celebrity one of many revelations in her new memoir.
Britneys Woman in Me doesnt drop until next week, but the cheating claim is just another chapter when it comes to her relationship with the *NSYNC star. Remember, we were first to report Britney also says she and Justin got pregnant when they were 19, and she claims he pushed for the abortion she eventually had.
In the book, were told Britney doesnt name the person with whom Justin allegedly stepped out, saying the woman now has a family Brit doesnt want to embarrass which means fans will, inevitably, start trying to connect dots on their own.
Of course, Justin dropped his massive hit Cry Me a River in 2002 admitting he wrote it after a nasty argument with Spears with many believing she had cheated on him.
Britney never denied the claims, and released her song Everytime the following year a song her writing partner says was a direct response to Cry Me a River. Britneys lyrics in the song include, I may have made it rain. Please, forgive me. My weakness caused you pain. And this songs my sorry.
However, since we broke the story of the abortion, some fans have speculated Everytime is actually about the pregnancy and abortion especially because the music video features a woman giving birth at the end.

Blind item: who was the famous woman, in what I assume was 2002? What if it was Christina Aguilera? Or Jessica Simpson? (It probably wasn?t Jessica.) Maybe it was an actress. Man, post-9/11 gossip was apocalyptic. I?ll admit that I missed much of this stuff at the time because I was actually paying attention to the war in Afghanistan and George W. Bush, etc. Anyway, it was well known that JT cheated on all of his girlfriends. That man just loves infidelity. What he did to Britney was disgusting.

Real talk: before this week, I wasn?t really looking forward to Britney Spears? memoir, The Woman in Me. I was worried that it would be either a massively sanitized version of her life, or it would be a big ball of chaos. People Magazine has published extensive excerpts (along with an interview with Britney) and I have to say, I was wrong. Britney?s writing is clear and simple, and she tells some truly ghastly stories in her punchy, nonchalant Britney ?voice.? Here are some of the excerpts which caught my eye:
Day drinking with her mother in eighth grade: ?For fun, starting when I was in eighth grade, my mom and I would make the two-hour drive from Kentwood to Biloxi, Mississippi, and while we were there, we would drink daiquiris. We called our cocktails ?toddies.? I loved that I was able to drink with my mom every now and then. The way we drank was nothing like how my father did it. When he drank, he grew more depressed and shut down. We became happier, more alive and adventurous.
She?s glad she wasn?t cast in ?The Notebook?: ?[Crossroads] was pretty much the beginning and end of my acting career, and I was relieved. The Notebook casting came down to me and Rachel McAdams, and even though it would have been fun to reconnect with Ryan Gosling after our time on the Mickey Mouse Club, I?m glad I didn?t do it. If I had, instead of working on my album In the Zone I?d have been acting like a 1940s heiress day and night.
The early days of her conservatorship: ?I?d been eyeballed so much growing up. I?d been looked up and down, had people telling me what they thought of my body, since I was a teenager. Shaving my head and acting out were my ways of pushing back. But under the conservatorship I was made to understand that those days were now over. I had to grow my hair out and get back into shape. I had to go to bed early and take whatever medication they told me to take. If I thought getting criticized about my body in the press was bad, it hurt even more from my own father. He repeatedly told me I looked fat and that I was going to have to do something about it. I would do little bits of creative stuff here and there, but my heart wasn?t in it anymore. As far as my passion for singing and dancing, it was almost a joke at that point.
What her father did to her: ?Feeling like you?re never good enough is a soul-crushing state of being for a child. He?d drummed that message into me as a girl, and even after I?d accomplished so much, he was continuing to do that to me. I became a robot. But not just a robot ? a sort of child-robot. I had been so infantilized that I was losing pieces of what made me feel like myself. The conservatorship stripped me of my womanhood, made me into a child. I became more of an entity than a person onstage. I had always felt music in my bones and my blood; they stole that from me.
She thinks she would have figured out her life without the conservatorship: ?If they?d let me live my life, I know I would?ve followed my heart and come out of this the right way and worked it out. Thirteen years went by with me feeling like a shadow of myself. I think back now on my father and his associates having control over my body and my money for that long and it makes me feel sick. Think of how many male artists gambled all their money away; how many had substance abuse or mental health issues. No one tried to take away their control over their bodies and money. I didn?t deserve what my family did to me.

I think about that whenever I cover Kanye West, because if we?re using Britney as ?the standard? for who should be in a conservatorship, surely Kanye meets that criteria. But it?s not even mentioned or discussed, mostly because he?s a man. Jamie Spears is such a deeply horrible man too, the way he treated Britney and emotionally abused her and financially abused her. It?s despicable. And Lynn Spears taking her 13-year-old daughter to get daiquiris? Dear god.

Britney Spears? communication of choice these days is through her Instagram. For months now, she responds to articles and gossip on IG, plus she films herself dancing and posing a lot. Well, Britney decided to do all of the above to respond to Sam Asghari filing for divorce. In a video where she was dancing around, she posted this message:
?As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together ? 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I?m a little shocked but ? I?m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody?s business !!! But, I couldn?t take the pain anymore honestly !!!
In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!! I?ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it?s far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I?ve always had to hide my weaknesses!!!

This situation is so comparable to Kanye West, in that they are both surrounded by people who aren?t in the position to get Kanye and Britney the help they need. Meanwhile, TMZ had this update, because they?re very focused on the money (and advocating for Sam):
Britney Spears will not have to ante up any money to estranged husband Sam Asghari, at least based on their prenup, but our sources say theres a big reason shell feel compelled to write him a substantial check. Sources with direct knowledge of the prenup tell TMZ Sam gets no payout in the event of divorce. In addition, the prenup precludes him from getting spousal support. He can keep the gifts Britney gave him and his cars, but thats about it.
Our sources say theres an extensive confidentiality clause in the prenup, prohibiting Sam from talking about his relationship with Britney. So on the surface, it seems Sams getting nothing of significance, but thats not the case.
As we reported, Sams lawyer, Neal Hersh, filed divorce docs which ask for spousal support. Given the prenup precludes such support, Hershs move signals a challenge to the prenup. There are other elements of the divorce filing suggesting a challenge writing about community and quasi-community property.

Again, the focus on money is so strange to me in this particular case. Britney?s father financially abused her for years and likely embezzled millions from her fortune. Britney has been paying Kevin Federline millions in support for like fifteen years. There isn?t some vast fortune which Sam wants a slice of. Don?t get me wrong, I think Britney will probably cut him a check as well, but it won?t be a major or significant settlement.

There are 20 million updates on Sam Asghari and Britney Spears? divorce. Their marriage implosion has been so hard and fast. Asghari filed for divorce this week, and he lists the date of separation as July 28. He is requesting spousal support and he wants Britney to pay his legal fees. His filing also reserves the right to amend petitions over property and community assets. Sam?s rep Brandon Cohen told People: There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos. However, all these claims are false, as no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her. Sam also posted this on his IG:
I think Sam?s strategy is to be polite and conciliatory in public, all while he leaks damaging information to TMZ. A lot of celebrity men do that they let TMZ and Page Six do their dirty work. Now, just because these leaks are coming from Sam?s side, doesn?t make them false. But it is a pattern I?m already noticing. After TMZ reported that Britney has physically assaulted Sam multiple times, TMZ also got some tips about how Britney apparently cheated on Sam:
Sam Asghari is telling people he believes Britney Spears cheated on him with a staff member at her house, and engaged in other inappropriate sexual conduct as well sources tell TMZ. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ Sam has claimed Britney asked at least one staffer to shoot video of her naked. Not only that, were told Sam believes she hooked up with at least one of the male staff members working at her home.
As for how Sam supposedly knows our sources say he claims theres footage of Britney and the staffer together in a compromising position. Were told Britneys in a fragile and hyper-sexualized state, and its contributed to her dangerous decision-making making her a risk to her own safety.
Our sources say Sam acted as a crutch for Britney for a long time, but her recent conduct was too much. Weve reported Sam has been over the marriage for a while now, and recent events were simply the last straw, leading him to file for divorce. As we reported, Britneys now without a support system shes iced her family out, doesnt have real friends, and has now lost Sam. Were told theres serious concern from her loved ones, but at this point, theres not much they can do.

I don?t know if this is true but? it wouldn?t surprise me. I also think that Sam finding out that Britney cheated on him might have been the last straw. Meanwhile, Britney?s team keeps sending messages to People Mag sources tell the mag that Britney is still ?in great spirits despite everything going on. Obviously its never an easy thing to go through, but she?s remaining positive and focusing on the future. It kind of sounds like she?s in a manic phase.

Two things can be true at the same time. One, Britney Spears has been traumatized and abused, and she?s deserving of our sympathy as she processes everything in real time, as she?s also going through significant mental health issues. Two, Britney doesn?t have any right to abuse, attack, strike or stab anyone because of her issues. Rumors have been percolating through the gossip channels for months that Britney and Asghari have had big fights, sometimes physical altercations. He?s even been photographed with bruises and maybe even bite marks on his arms and face. Now that Sam has filed for divorce from Britney, it?s all coming out.
Britney Spears got physical with Sam Asghari over the years, hes told people, once giving him a black eye while he was sleeping sources tell TMZ. Sources with direct knowledge tell us Sam frequently complained about Britney getting physical with him during their 7 years together. Were told there have been numerous fights where security has had to step in, but in one instance there was no security in sight.
Our sources say there was one occasion where Sam says he was sleeping in their bed when Britney flew off the handle and began punching him. Were told Sam did not strike back, but was stunned as his wife pummeled him. Were told that alleged incident went down early this year, right around the time Sam was photographed with a black eye and bite marks on his forearm.
Paparazzi noticed the bruising and tried to ask Sam about it, but he tried to play it off asking photogs not to shoot him.
Our sources say Sam was particularly concerned because Britney had a fascination with knives. Were told there were knives all over the house, including in their bedroom. Britney, as one source put it, was paranoid someone was going to get her, and she needed the knives as protection. The sources add Britney tended to fly off the handle at the smallest slight, and that terrified Sam.
As we first told you, Sam and Britney got into a huge argument a few weeks ago when he accused her of cheating, and thats what triggered his divorce filing. But, were told that was simply the straw that broke the camels back.

It?s one thing to admire the craftsmanship of some beautiful weaponry, it?s quite another to have knives all over your home when you?re married to someone who flies off the handle and physically assaults you in your sleep. Dude filed for divorce so he wouldn?t get stabbed while taking a cat nap. I can understand that. Even if Britney deserves the benefit of the doubt, I kind of think Sam does too. I dont know what happened and Im not going to speculate about what sounds like a pretty awful domestic violence situation.

A few weeks ago, Britney Spears announced that her memoir would be released on October 24. The memoir is called The Woman in Me, which seems like a joke from Arrested Development (iykyk). There was a bidding war for the memoir, with Simon & Schuster?s Gallery Books winning the publishing rights. While the cover doesn?t reveal the names of any co-authors or ghostwriters, I would assume that Britney got some help. It?s nothing to be ashamed of Prince Harry had a ghost, and Jessica Simpson had a co-writer. In any case, it looks like the publication date may be moved back a bit because two of Britney?s former lovers are threatening to sue. One of the names is, um, unexpected??
Millions of fans will be desperate to grab a copy of Britney Spears?s memoir when it comes out in October. But Justin Timberlake and Colin Farrell won?t be among them after contesting vast swathes of her book.
I?ve learned that Cry Me A River singer Justin and The Batman actor Colin, both romantically linked to Britney in the early Noughties, caused a four-month delay to the publication over tales she wanted to be included.
Lawyers acting for the pair threatened to sue if Toxic singer Britney didn?t remove intimate details of their clients? lives.
Justin dated Britney from 1999 to 2002, having met her on the set of TV?s The Mickey Mouse Club in 1992. It was claimed in 2003 that Colin and Britney were dating after they were seen out together, but he has denied they were a couple.
A source said: ?Lawyers demanded to see her book in advance and were adamant that some of the revelations were removed. There are still plenty of gobsmacking tales but Justin and Colin were conscious about what could be said about them. The legal process meant the publication was held up by four months as discussions went back and forth about what could be included. But that has finally now been settled and her autobiography is all ready to go.?

I?m not surprised at all about Timberlake?s tantrums for as much well-deserved sh-t Justin gets for how he treated Janet Jackson, he should get ten times the sh-t for how he treated Britney. As far as I know, Britney and Colin Farrell only had a brief fling/friendship, but it was back when Colin was drinking so? maybe he doesn?t want some of that stuff out there. There was a terrible incident involving Britney Spears this week. Britney was in Las Vegas, at the Aria Hotel. She saw San Antonio Spurs? Victor Wembanyama at the hotel, with his security. Britney decided to go up to Victor and ask him for a photo. She walked up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder (that?s her version) and one of Victor?s security guys backhanded her in the face. Britney has filed a police report and both she and Victor issued statements on Thursday:
Recent No. 1 overall draft pick Victor Wembanyama has already reached his first NBA drama, and it involves Britney Spears. The San Antonio Spurs phenom confirmed that he was involved in an incident Wednesday that allegedly saw a member of his security team slap the pop icon at the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas, according to the Associated Press. Per TMZ, Spears filed a police report that identified Spurs director of team security Damian Smith as the person who backhanded her, with conflicting reports on whether the matter will be subject to a criminal investigation. There are also photos showing a person identified as Spears walking up behind Wembanyama and Smith.
Spears reportedly wanted to ask Wembanyama for a photo as they were walking into a restaurant and tapped him on the shoulder, which allegedly resulted in the slap. Spears then went to her table, where Smith approached her to apologize, which she accepted. Wembanyama somewhat corroborated the account while speaking with reporters Thursday, though he claimed that Spears grabbed him instead of tapping him on the shoulder and said his security pushed her away instead of slapping her:
?Something did happen, a little bit, when I was walking with some security from the team to some restaurant. We were in the hall. There was a lot of people, so people calling me, obviously. There was one person who was calling me, but we talked before with the security. I couldn?t stop. That person was calling me, ?sir, sir,? and that person grabbed me from behind,? Wembanyama said. ?I didn?t see what happened because I was walking straight and didn?t stop. That person grabbed me from behind, not on my shoulder, she grabbed me from behind. I just know the security pushed her away. I don?t know with how much force, but security pushed her away. I didn?t stop to look so I could walk in and enjoy the nice dinner.?
He added that he didnt know the other person was Spears until hours after the incident: ?I didn?t know for a couple hours, but when I came back to the hotel I didnt forget about it, but I thought it was no big deal, and then the security of the Spurs told me it was Britney Spears. At first, I was like, ?You?re joking.? But yeah, turns out it was Britney Spears. I never saw her face. I just kept walking straight.?
Spears later released a statement via Twitter in which she pushed back on Wembanyamas claim that she grabbed him and emphasized the force with which she was hit.
?Traumatic experiences are not new to me and I have had my fair share of them. I was not prepared for what happened to me last night. recognized an athlete in my hotel lobby as I was heading to dinner. I later went to a restaurant at a different hotel and saw him again. I decided to approach him and congratulate him on his success. It was really loud, so I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. I am aware of the players statement where he mentions I grabbed him from behind but I simply tapped him on the shoulder. His security then back handed me in the face without looking back, in front of a crowd. Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses off my face.
Spears also noted that she was swarmed by a group of 20 fans the same night and didnt have her security team hit any of them. She requested a public apology from Wembanyama, the Spurs and their security: This story is super embarrassing to share with the world but its out there already. However, I think its important to share this story and to urge people in the public eye to set an example and treat all people with respect. Physical violence is happening too much in this world. Often behind closed doors. I stand with all the victims and my heart goes out to all of you!!! have yet to get a public apology from the player, his security or their organization. I hope they will

TMZ reports that the Vegas police are taking this seriously and they might pursue charges, not against Victor, but against this security guy. Like? I realize that there are a lot of fans who don?t know how to act right and it can get really scary for celebrities and athletes. I get that there is a genuine need for people to have security around them in public areas. But when your security guy is backhanding women who merely tap you on the shoulder? That?s wrong. It should not be normalized, this casual violence.

Britney Spears married Sam Asghari almost one year ago exactly. Their anniversary is in June. Their wedding was held at Britney?s home. Almost everyone was happy for them Sam and Britney have been together since the fall of 2016, and Britney had wanted to marry Sam for years. She was only able to marry him once her conservatorship was removed by the court, so it was a happy occasion and many people came out to celebrate them. The thing is, when her conservatorship was removed, Britney has been experiencing a newfound freedom and that comes with some uncomfortable mess. I wrote about this back in February while I think Britney needs some help, I also know she?s been through a terrible ordeal and she?s still processing her trauma and figuring out what?s next, and how to care for herself and others. Well, it turns out that Britney and Sam are on the rocks, at least according to TMZ:

TMZ has prepared a documentary that will air tonight, which explores Britneys life post-conservatorship. Were told Britney has gotten physical with Sam and screaming matches have been frequent. Were also told things have gotten so volatile security has had to step in.
Our sources say Sam doesnt stay at their home much anymore and its especially alarming because of how she has come to rely on him.

It would not surprise me if some or all of this was true. It also wouldn?t surprise me if TMZ is embellishing and exploiting what is probably a difficult situation which changes day by day. In any case, Sam has responded to TMZ?s report in a now-deleted video message:
Sam Asghari slammed TMZ?s ?disgusting? TV special about his wife, Britney Spears, ahead of its release Monday evening. ?I found it absolutely disgusting for the people who were in her life when she didn?t have a voice, they went and told her story like it was theirs. It was absolutely disgusting.?
?How are you going to take the most influential person of her generation, the Princess of Pop, America?s sweetheart, and put her in prison where her father [Jamie Spears] tells her what to do, what water to drink, who to see and use her as a money-making machine?? Asghari asked his viewers. Asghari, 29, took aim at the outlet for putting Britney, 41, ?under the microscope? when she is finally free from her family and management?s control and encouraged readers not to fall for ?clickbait? stories.
?All of a sudden ? after 15 years when she?s free after all those gaslighting, all those things that went down ? now you?re going to put her under a microscope and tell her story?? he asked, rhetorically. ?No, no, that?s also disgusting, so don?t do that, and don?t believe what you read online. Ninety-nine percent of the time those are all clickbait [stories] for you to click and for them to make money, and that time is over.?
Asghari concluded his video, which since has been deleted, by saying all of the ?gaslighting and s?t? has to stop.

I really hope Sam is the good guy he seems to be. I think he cares about Britney and he?s always shown that he wants to help her and he wants her to be free. But I do wonder if he?s now stuck in a caretaker position and whether that?s really where he wants to be. I don?t know. I find so much of Britney?s post-conservatorship story to be exploitative because, as Sam is saying here, it?s being told by the same men who exploited her during her conservatorship.

Britney Spears finally had her conservatorship removed in the fall of 2021. ?Free Britney? worked, and Britney has been enjoying her newfound freedom ever since. Because Britney?s fans were so instrumental in helping Britney seek and achieve freedom, those fans believe they?re entitled to monitor her health and well-being. Those fans even went so far as to recently send police to Britney?s home to do a welfare check. The thing is, once Britney?s conservatorship was done, Britney can now make her own decisions about her medications, her doctors, her treatments and how she lives her life. Mine is not a pro- or anti-conservatorship stance, just a recognition that Freed Britney was always going to have a difficult time managing her own life after more than a decade of microscopic control exerted on her.
That?s what we?ve been seeing for more than a year now: a fanbase with a parasocial entitlement to ?monitor? Britney; a woman with a history of mental health issues now in charge of her own treatment and medication; a victim of financial, medical and parental abuse trying to understand and process that abuse. Of course it?s messy and of course people have legitimate concerns about Britney?s well-being. I?m not entirely sure that briefing People Magazine is the answer though.
Those in Britney Spears life are worried about the pop star as she goes through a difficult time, multiple sources close to the singer tell PEOPLE. Spears inner circle had an intervention planned for the Hold Me Closer singer, 41, but it was canceled at the last minute. She did, however, meet with a doctor on Wednesday night ? and while the meeting went well, the next steps are unclear.
Britney has been acting increasingly erratically and those around her have grown more concerned, a source says. She is often up all night, sleeps during [the] day and has a lot of anger.
Another insider in Spears circle tells PEOPLE that things behind the scenes have been very difficult and absolutely chaotic as those close to her encourage her to get help.
Everyone had hoped Britney could be convinced to seek treatment before things got any worse but they knew it wouldnt be easy, the source says. Shes been going through a lot and has been increasingly combative.
The insider adds that Sam Asghari, whom Spears married in June after six years of dating, is being as supportive as possible.

Do I wish that Britney had better people in her life overall, people whom she can trust, people who will help her without their own agenda? Yes. I hope she?s well and I hope she finds medical professionals who can help her. I hope she has people in her life whom she trusts no matter what.
