I personally haven?t paid attention to Gwen Stefani since March of this year, when she seemingly played around with going MAGA or tried to appeal to the MAGAts. It was a weird moment and I still don?t really understand what?s going on with Gwen politically. For years now, assumptions have been made about Blake Shelton and his politics, and how Gwen has likely become more conservative within their marriage. She?s exactly the type to adopt her husband?s political views too, that?s all I?ll say!
Well, in recent weeks, there were tabloid stories about the Shelton-Stefani marriage and whether they were on the rocks. While I doubt everything is sunshine and roses 24-7, I also doubt that Blake and Gwen will ever fall apart. Star Magazine claimed, two weeks ago, that people have been worried about their marriage ever since Blake and Gwen released the single ?Hangin? On,? which is clearly about breaking up. Blake and Gwen have fewer date nights, and they?ve been skipping joint public appearances and red carpets for months. Something about ?separate lives.? They even made a point of skipping the CMAs.
Right on cue, after those rumors circulated for weeks, Gwen posted a Thanksgiving selfie with Blake, showing that they?re still loved up, I guess. My read on this whole situation? I think if they break up, it will be because Blake wants out, and I don?t think he currently wants out. He?s very happy with Gwen and her sons. I would argue that they?re probably well over the honeymoon phase and, sure, they aren?t connected at the hip. But I honestly believe that Blake has put a lot of his career on the back burner to be at home with Gwen and the boys.

Immediately following the unroyaling of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, King Charles began to make moves to protect Andrew?s two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The palace heavily indicated that nothing would happen to B&E given the sins of their father, that they would retain their titles and styles. Not only that, but Beatrice was given permission to undertake what appeared to be ?royal work,? and she was given a new semi-royal patronage title. It feels like an acknowledgement from Charles that the slimmed-down monarchy looks lazy and out-of-touch, and that B&E should be allowed to be ?half-in.? Well, Katie Nicholl at Vanity Fair has an update on the situation between Charles and his nieces.
King Charles is considering using Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the daughters of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, for occasional royal duties, in what is being seen as a public showing of support for the princesses, well-placed sources tell Vanity Fair.
?It was something that was being looked at before recent events but despite what has happened with Andrew, it?s not off the cards,? a royal source said. ?Whatever people might think of Andrew, the girls are kind, hardworking and want to help if they can.?
Just last week, it was announced that Princess Eugenie, 35, is working with the King?s Foundation as a mentor. At a mentoring reception for under 35-year-olds in London on Nov. 13, Eugenie appeared thrilled to be in attendance. ?She was so excited to be there and seemed very proud to have been asked,? according to one source at the reception.
?It was fantastic to spend more time with the 35 under 35, who are such an incredible group of talented young people. I have enjoyed getting to know them better and hearing about their work and aspirations, and look forward to supporting their journeys into the future,? Eugenie, who works as a director for Hauser & Wirth, said in a statement. ?My career has been shaped by a passion for the arts, so it?s a pleasure to be working with The King?s Foundation to support this inspirational group of artists and creatives.?
Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice, who works as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at tech company Afiniti, was announced as Deputy Patron of The Outward Bound Trust, a charity focused on outdoor education, after having previously served as a trustee.
According to sources close to King Charles, ?the monarch is fond of his nieces and doesn?t want them to suffer because of their father?s downfall. There was no deal struck about the future for Beatrice and Eugenie, they are private individuals in that respect, but there have been talks for some time about using them when and if there is a need. For their part, they have let it be known that they are more than willing to do public duties if and when they can to support the king.?
The source added that King Charles is ?testing the water? to see how well his nieces are received by the public. In the past, the princesses have attended royal garden parties as ambassadors for the family and other overseas events, even though they receive no public money.
According to a source close to the princesses, Beatrice and Eugenie recognize there is a responsibility to support their uncle and they want to support him.?
Family friends say it has been a ?devastating? time for the York family, but that Beatrice and Eugenie were determined to ?stick together and stay strong.? Earlier this month, the sisters were photographed embracing each other in London.

This sort of explains why there was a rash of anti-Beatrice stories in the past month Charles?s decision to bring B&E closer is not a popular one within the institution or within the British press, perhaps. Or maybe this is all a feint and Charles knows that the next-gen Yorks are just as useful as their parents a convenient distraction from the larger problems within the institution. People would rather snipe at Beatrice & Eugenie than talk about Charles and William?s slumlord duchies, or the inflated Sovereign Grant or the work-shy Waleses.

When Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was finally and dramatically ?unroyaled? in October, Andrew and King Charles came to some kind of private agreement to get Andrew out of Royal Lodge. We were quickly told that Andrew and Sarah Ferguson wouldn?t be expected to move out of RL right away, that they would move out in the New Year. We still haven?t heard where Andrew will move into on the Sandringham estate. Well, the Sun had an exclusive this weekend about Andrew?s move being delayed. The official excuse is that Andrew is ?struggling to downsize,? given that Royal Lodge is a very grand 30-room mansion, and given that there still doesn?t seem to be a confirmation of where Andrew will go next. So, basically, they?re saying he?ll probably move out of RL in February. Well, the Royalist Substack had some tea about what?s going on behind-the-scenes. Something I believe in this story is that Andrew is still negotiating with Charles about what kind of grand ?cottage? he gets next.
Disgraced ex-Prince Andrew is still reeling off demands and ultimatums about his future living arrangements, The Royalist can reveal. Incredible as it may seem to those who bought the palace line that he was disgraced and stripped of all privileges, Andrew is demanding a substantial six or seven bedroom house on the Sandringham Estate complete with staff including a cook, gardener, housekeeper, driver and police security, sources have told The Royalist.
A friend of Andrew?s told The Daily Beast: ?Andrew has done exactly what has been asked of him and he just wants to be left alone.?
Asked to comment on a report in the British news magazine Private Eye this week which suggested that Andrew is still negotiating about where exactly he will live on the Sandringham Estate, the friend said: ?He is giving up the lease on one of England?s finest houses and expects to be treated fairly.?
A former courtier told The Royalist: ?Knowing Andrew, this was always going to be about money. Andrew is essentially being bought out of the lease, so he will haggle over every last detail of the deal.?
The palace has previously admitted in background notes made available to members of the U.K. ?royal rota? press pool and obtained by The Royalist that Andrew?s lease ?has legal force? and that the king had to ?respect? it and that ?the laws of his own country? required ?negotiation? between all parties, and that it is Andrew who must voluntarily surrender the lease. This seems a fancy way of saying he was being bought out.
Andrew?s reluctance to settle is being blamed in some quarters for a new timeline leaking out of the palace via the U.K. newspapers which suggests Andrew might stay in Royal Lodge for several more months to come.

I think it?s interesting that it?s been more than a month since the big Unroyaling and, in that time, Buckingham Palace has not offered any information about where Andrew will go next or what his new circumstances will be. Clearly, Andrew and Charles came to some kind of agreement and under-the-table settlement back in October. But why are they still hammering out some of the larger pieces of the deal? Is Charles balking at the idea of giving Andrew one of the nicer homes on the Sandringham Estate? Is Charles refusing to agree to a figure to buy out Andrew?s Royal Lodge lease? Is Charles nickel-and-diming Andrew over how many staffers he can have? Because it sounds like all of the above more dithering from Charles, with Andrew in a strong negotiating position.

Over the holiday weekend here in America, the rest of the world just kept going about their business, obviously. The Marrakech Film Festival began on Friday, and the festival asked Anya Taylor Joy and Jenna Ortega to serve on this year?s jury. Such a smart move the festival guarantees widespread international coverage by having two of the most-watched fashion girls attend all of the festival premieres. The fashion coverage alone is probably worth its weight in gold for the festival.
So, let?s get to the fashion. On the first day, Anya wore a rather magnificent sack dress from Dior?s spring 2026 collection. Anya has been a Dior brand ambassador for years, and she often wears pieces fresh off the runway. She?s also the face of Tiffany & Co, and she?s obviously wearing Tiffany diamonds. I really love this sack dress, while fully acknowledging that only someone like Anya can really pull it off. I would look like a gothic body pillow in this. On the second night of the festival, Anya also wore a custom Dior in chartreuse, a look which ended the baby-bump commentary from the sack dress the night before.
Jenna Ortega?s first two festival looks were interesting. On the first night, she wore a black Bevza gown. Bevza is a Ukrainian label, and it?s so cool that she?s supporting Ukrainian artists/fashion. On Saturday, she wore a slinky silk-satin dress which was a custom piece from Dolce & Gabbana. I?m not as crazy about this one. I also think Jenna?s styling looks off simply because of her shaved/bleached eyebrow situation.

Last week, the Duchess of Sussex?s spokesperson (finally) issued a statement about the Galvan dress seen in the With Love, Meghan promotional materials. The dress was originally seen on Meghan in her 2022 Variety cover shoot, which caused unhinged people to claim that Meghan ?stole? the dress and then? wore it on WLM years later. Meghan?s spox confirmed what most people assumed, that Meghan has it in her magazine contracts that she gets to take certain items from her photoshoots, which is pretty typical of many celebrity magazine shoots. Well, I hoped this whole bullsh-t controversy would die with the spox statement, but it has not. It?s being used as one piece in a laundry list of accusations against the Sussexes in this new Page Six piece. The main thrust is that Meghan and Harry are ?dashing their chances? at reconciling with the Windsors by? wearing clothes from magazine shoots, and volunteering for charity, and going to Kris Jenner?s party. It should be abundantly clear by now that Meghan doesn?t give a fk at reconciling, and that Harry just wants to spend some personal time with his father. But whatever, enjoy:
The Galvan dress: A spokesperson told Page Six it was ?categorically false? Meghan took the Galvan gown without asking, while a Sussex source added it was ?standard for talent to retain select items from photo shoots ? sometimes for security reasons. Explaining further, they added: ?Clothing worn by members of the royal family and other public figures has been targeted for resale in the past.?
Palace insiders react to the spox statement: That statement irked palace insiders, who were quick to point out members of the official royal family are not allowed to accept free clothing at all. ?I resent the use of the world ?royal family? because they?re meant to be non-working royals,? said Hugo Vickers, author and friend of the family. ?To use the family as an excuse for such protocol is ridiculous and very stupid. They are a member of a family, but they are not working royals and if they cared at all, they should not be writing nasty books and giving interviews. This is not going to help their cause with reconciliation at all, it?s all being done for publicity.?
Kris Jenner?s party was a fiasco!! As we reported, those inside the Kardashian camp were upset the Sussexes were taking attention away from Jenner and her birthday celebrations ? and accused their staffers of lying. An insider close to the famous brood told us they got ?annoyed with the Sussex camp? for ?overshadowing? what was intended to be ?a celebration of Kris.? ?There was no consent form. That just makes Kris look ridiculous,? added the insider.
The Sussexes are just trying to get their names out there! However, Sussex sources insist the couple are firmly focused on their philanthropy efforts, making a $1.3m donation to the Children in Need charity, alongside a $150,000 donation to the Centre for Blast Injury Studies to support research into blast injuries of children in Ukraine and Gaza. They also made a $200,000 donation to the World Health Organisation to support medical evacuees from Gaza, an $150,000 donation to Save the Children and $50,000 donation to Masaka Kids Afrikana to support reconstruction efforts in Jamaica following the hurricane. Their charity efforts, the sources said are in excess of $2.5 million.
Celebrity behavior: However, she and Harry can?t have it both ways. Although they want to be seen as royals, the fact the former ?Suits? actress is taking items from photoshoots is pure celebrity behavior, according to Bethan Holt, the UK Daily Telegraph fashion director and royal fashion expert. ?It sounds like Meghan had a more celebrity-style agreement than a royal one,? Holt explained, adding, ?Royals generally keep things above board, celebrities are renowned for taking items from shoots, even if that is with the agreement of the magazine, stylists and brands.? The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, always pays for her clothes, although they may be discounted, according to Holt. She is also collecting items she has worn in an archive because one day she will be Queen.
The royal-clothing auction claim is true though: Asked about the idea that the royal family has to be careful about their items going up for auction is true, Holt revealed, saying, ?Maybe now royals are much more careful, but Princess Diana used to give her clothes to friends and staff all the time, some pieces ended up in [thrift stores]. I think Fergie [Sarah Ferguson] might have been gifted some of them too.? Diana?s clothes have sold at a myriad auctions; one famous ?black sheep? sweater, bought for $50, sold for $1.14 million at Sothebys New York in September 2023.
Meghan keeps fashion-shoot clothes: Multiple sources also told Page Six Markle has a habit of keeping clothes from shoots. One Variety source told us, ?Meghan took every single thing from that shoot that she wore.? Another industry insider said the mom-of-two also took items from her 2022 interview with ?The Cut? for which she wore a black-and-white Tory Burch tulle dress teamed with Lanvin ?Melodie? earrings in green for the cover.
The Sussexes volunteering before Thanksgiving: Photos show Archie and Lili with their parents rolling up balls of dough. Meghan showed off the finished product on her Instagram Stories along with the caption, ?Show up, do good.? ?Even that is quite desperate,? sniffed one palace source, ?If the kids weren?t in the photos, would anyone be interested??

They bitch and moan about Harry and Meghan for two pages, then at the end, they call H&M ?desperate? for including their kids in a charity outing and say ?If the kids weren?t in the photos, would anyone be interested?? Judging from every single criticism lodged at Harry and Meghan in the paragraphs beforehand, I would say yes, they would have been interested, even if the kids were not in the photos. For some time now, I?ve believed one of the biggest problems facing the left-behind Windsors and their flunkies is that they are still so obviously obsessed with watching and commenting on the Sussexes, all these years later. It?s still a regular thing, where ?palace insiders,? or royal sources or royal commentators are still fking talking about every single thing Harry & Meghan do or say. There?s no sense of proportion either they seem equally furious about the most mundane, normal things as, say, Prince Harry?s memoir. All of which to say, the royal sources are making mountains out of molehills and they should try focusing their sad-sack energy on the left-behinds.
