At this point, I couldn?t care less about Kristin Cavallari?s thirsty, forced divorce drama, but I am LIVING for whatever gossip crumbs we get from Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy. And I fully appreciate that the American gossip outlets have already defaulted to Team MK just out of patriotism. Take your ass back to France, Olivier! And as such, places like People Magazine seem to be the preferred outlets for what I assume are controlled leaks from MK?s team. I mean, she doesn?t have to do much to make us side with her, but I appreciate that at least her team is giving us some gossip in the wake of MK?s divorce filing/pandemic drama. We?ve previously heard (from People?s ?sources?) that Olivier is ?very French? and he ?wanted her home? instead of working constantly. We also heard that MK wanted to have a baby and he was done with fatherhood, because he already has two adult children. Here?s more:
Mary-Kate Olsen, 33, has been working since before she could walk or talk. The fashion mogul and her twin sister, Ashley, famously played Michelle Tanner on Full House when they were just babies and have continued working ever since ?? from launching their own production company to now running a fashion empire. But according to a source, Olsens focus on her career caused tension in her marriage to banker Olivier Sarkozy, 51.
Mary-Kate is extremely hard working and focused on her business. Her work schedule is beyond disciplined, a source tells PEOPLE in this weeks issue. She is the type of person who would never complain about a 12 hour work day. Olivier never understood her drive and passion. He would have loved to have a stay-at-home wife.
The source adds that Olsen, who runs two successful clothing brands, The Row and Elizabeth and James with sister Ashley, rarely takes a vacation.
Olivier loves traveling to tropical places with his French friends, says the source. He traveled without her several times.

Again, I have to ask: why were they together in the first place? Did they not discuss all of this ahead of time? They dated for three years before they got married. Did they not sit down and have a conversation about babies, work schedules, stay-at-home wifeing and general vacations with French peeps? Of course I believe that they were at odds over all of these subjects they never had anything in common! I also think that MK and her people are slowly working their way into the ?he was always spending HER money while she worked herself to the bone? argument.

We?ve spent the last YEAR hearing from Lori Loughlin about how she?s too white, too rich, too privileged and too faith-based to ever have to face the consequences of all of her criminal activity. Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were charged with a variety of crimes in connection to their attempts to bribe and defraud their two daughters into college. Most of the parents in connection with Operation Varsity Blues took plea deals. Felicity Huffman was one of those parents she got sentenced to a few weeks in prison, and they let her out early on good behavior. But Lori held out, thinking that she could simper and PR her way out of trouble. Now she?s taking a plea deal.
Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, have agreed to a plea deal in connection with their involvement in the college admissions scandal. The Full House actress and the fashion designer will serve two months in prison, pay a $150,000 fine and have two years of supervised release with 100 hours of community service for conspiracy charges, according to the U.S. Attorneys Office in the District of Massachusetts.
The Full House actress and husband Mossimo Giannulli will plead guilty to conspiracy for allegedly passing off their daughters as elite athletes and securing their admission to the University of Southern California, federal prosecutors in Boston said.
Loughlin has agreed to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, and Giannulli is now expected to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud, authorities said.

Two months in prison? She?ll probably go there and get released in a matter of weeks. But what do you make of the larger story of Lori and Mossimo suddenly deciding that they didn?t want to fight this out in a trial? Was it just a matter of the prosecutors making a better plea offer? Or was this always what was on offer and Lori finally came around to the idea that she would have to do some time?

We learned this week that Alison Roman had been suspended temporarily from her New York Times column, which appeared biweekly in the Food section. Roman really has no one to blame but herself for that she decided, seemingly out of nowhere, to do some kind of racist hipster gatekeeping on two women of color in an interview. While Marie Kondo didn?t say anything, Chrissy Teigen dove headfirst into the controversy, and we spent days covering the back and forth between Roman and Teigen. Roman eventually released an authentic-sounding apology, but only after she screwed up three other public apologies. It was the kind of melodrama Chrissy Teigen lives for, and as she was playing up her hurt feelings, people chimed in to remind Chrissy of all of the terrible sh-t she?s said and never apologized for. Anyway, now Chrissy is inserting herself into Roman?s NYT suspension, because of course she is!
Chrissy Teigen is speaking out after news surfaced that Alison Romans New York Times food column has been placed on a hiatus weeks after she sparked drama with the Cravings author. After an interview with The New Consumer earlier this month, Roman got into hot water when she criticized Teigens cooking website for being what she perceived as a content farm and claimed that Marie Kondo, 35, had sold out.
Now, Romans biweekly food column is on temporary leave, a New York Times spokesperson told The Daily Beast on Tuesday. However, the outlet did not cite specific reasons for their decision to pause her work. Times insiders told The Daily Beast that Roman had a piece scheduled to run during her controversy with Teigen but it was ultimately not published.
Following news of Romans leave, Teigen has responded to several comments on social media about her current standing with Roman and her thoughts on her temporary hiatus. Teigen responded to a post praising Romans shallot pasta recipe, to which Teigen agreed is a very good recipe!!
Asked if her approval of Romans food meant the beef [was] squashed, Teigen admitted that she was not pleased to hear the news about Romans column. I hope we can laugh about it one day but Im not happy with the NYT leave so she def cant laugh about it yet. It just sucks in every way, she wrote Thursday.
Teigen also responded to a tweet from New York Times opinion writer and editor Bari Weiss, who wrote that all Roman had to do to be cancelled was to criticize a celebrity.
I dont like this one bit, Teigen replied. Im doing what I can (off Twitter) to make that known.
Teigen shared similar sentiments on Wednesday, responding to one user that she very publicly forgave [Roman] and am getting very much blamed for her leave.

First of all, Bari Weiss is the exact kind of Alison Roman-but-political wannabe who would kill for the kind of controversy Chrissy and Alison had last week. Of course Bari Weiss thinks that Roman?s biggest offense is that she criticized a celebrity. Not the racist subtext or the gatekeeping or all of the stolen and anglicized ?ethnic? recipes. As for Teigen? of course she?s found a way to continue to center herself at the heart of the story. Don?t you know that she?s ?very much blamed? for Roman?s suspension?? It must be true, because it was on the internet and that?s where Chrissy lives. Yeah. Again, separate the Teigen and Roman stories Roman got herself suspended through her own actions and words. Much like Teigen hurts her own brand by continuing to endlessly talk sh-t and center herself in every narrative.

As we all know, the Duchess of Cambridge is a keen amateur photographer. One of her few pre-royal ?jobs? involved something with photography for her parents? company Party Pieces, although we?re obviously never going to see the receipts on that. When she became a mom, Kate began photographing her children and releasing those photos on their birthday or to mark certain occasions. It?s fine she?s no Annie Leibovitz, but she enjoys photographing her kids and it?s cute that Kate has made it into such a thing and that she photographs her childrens birthdays. But apparently, Kate?s photography can now be designated as a ?superpower.? OMG. To be fair, the woman who said this was speaking in more broad terms about the power of photography for the royals.
Kate Middleton?s family photographs have warmed the hearts of millions during the coronavirus pandemic. Yet the images of Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 5, and little brother, Prince Louis, 2, spending quality family time together during isolation at Kate and Prince William?s Anmer Hall country home in Norfolk are far more than simple family snaps. Instead, they form an integral part of what royal historian Lucy Worsley calls the royal family?s ?very own superpower.?
?For 200 years the British monarchy has used photography,? she adds in a new BBC documentary Lucy Worsleys Royal Photo Album, which airs on PBS on August 16. ?From creating a new sovereign to affairs of the heart, majestic moments to everyday life, when monarchy wants to send a message it uses a photograph.?
Worsley highlights this by profiling the way that key royals, including Prince Harry, Princess Diana, Princess Margaret and Queen Elizabeth, have used photographs to send a message to the world. It is all part of the royal family?s ?soft power, she says.
You would think that the weapons of a king and queen were perhaps their armies or centuries of tradition but what they have is the power of the media,? Worsley tells PEOPLE. The visual is almost more important than words because they dont have that many opportunities to speak. So, they have become very adept at using photo opportunities: dressing, body language, who they are photographed with ? all that sort of thing ? to express their influence. Because they dont have power, but they do have influence.?
?It makes them relatable and therefore builds affection,? says Worsley. They work in exactly the same way as a soap opera does. These are people whose lives sort of mirror your own. They progress. They have births, deaths and marriages. You get to know them over time. You feel like they are your friends ? sort of!? She adds, People talk about it (the royal family) as a high brand institution, but it so isnt. Its really, really adapted. They use Instagram and what have you, but they reference the past. They make decisions that appear consistent with the past.?
It is for this reason that Worsley says, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge now dominate my Instagram feed!?

There was also an aside about Prince Albert and how he loved photography and knew the photos of his family would help the monarchy. Which is true it?s from the Victoria-and-Albert era that the ?royal family as a normal, middle class family? branding really began. I would also say that more than any other 20th century royal figure, Princess Diana understood the (soft and hard) power of imagery and photography. She knew how things would photograph and she learned how to use that to her advantage, time and time again. That?s something I always thought that the Duchess of Sussex would get too, but the Sussexit happened and God knows. As for Kate and whether or not her photography qualifies as a superpower? I think she mostly photographs her kids because she doesn?t want to invite professional photographers around constantly. She wants to keep the kids? childhoods more lowkey.

It is nothing short of spectacular to see how thoroughly the wheels have come off the York train following Jeffrey Epstein?s mysterious death last year. This time last year, it was widely assumed that Andrew was flush with cash from unknown shady business deals, and that?s how he could afford a huge Swiss chalet and more. He?s also been ?helping? his ex-wife?s finances for years, mostly through arranging his friends and business partners to simply loan Fergie money, money which (I assume) she never has to pay off. It?s startling to think of just how crazy it is that Fergie has never really been able to climb out of debt, and that she?s always ?broke? or in desperate need of some kind of bailout. She?s a scammer and she?s bad with money, a terrible combination. Anyway, as soon as Epstein died, mysteriously the Yorks? finances got really terrible. Suddenly, they could no longer afford the Swiss chalet. And we?re hearing more about all of these strange ?loans? given to Fergie over the years.
This story is a bit dry, but here are the basics. In 2017, Fergie became the executive director of Gate Ventures, an entertainment-investment company founded by Geoff Morrow. Fergie came on board to help lift the profile of Gate Ventures. The company lost millions of pounds in a few years. And now mysterious loans from Gate Ventures to Fergie are being investigated:
The administrators of an entertainment company are investigating a number of unexplained transactions, including over half a million pounds in loans made to the Duchess of York. Insolvency practitioners from Quantuma are looking into the loans written by Gate Ventures to the duchess, who was a former director of the company, along with loss-making theatre investments linked to Lord Grade of Yarmouth, 77, the Chair of Gate, as reported by The Times. The Duchess of York, 60, was a director of the company between July 2017 and stepped down in December.
She received a 290,000 personal loan from Gate, while Ginger & Moss, a tea company that she set up, received a loan of 232,000. Ginger . . . has not achieved material sales to date. We are investigating loans which have been made, together with how best to optimise this investment for the benefit of creditors, administrators recorded in proposals filed at Companies House.
The duchess is understood to believe that Gate also owes her money and is said to be in discussions with administrators. The business was placed in administration in March after it failed to fend of a High Court claim from Zheng Youngxiong, an investor who claimed that the business owes him 2.5 million. The High Court in London heard that Gate Ventures, was in ?complete disarray? and had lost 19million out of 24million invested.

This company was so fking shady that their charter was to finance theatrical shows and yet they were floating 232K loans to Fergie?s tea company for no reason? And she?s still trying to scam more money out of the now bankrupt company? Classic. But remember, the Queen has perfect judgment and Fergie and Andrew?s shenanigans are A-OK with the Queen and the royal establishment. It?s not like Fergie had a baby shower in New York or anything.
