We learned last year that John Corbett would come back to the Sex and the City universe for a ?multi-episode arc? in HBO Max?s And Just Like That?s second season. No one was happy about it. No one was checking for Aidan Shaw to reenter Carrie Bradshaw?s life. One thing I?ll give the original SATC series is that it was somewhat realistic in how they showed how two deeply incompatible people continued to make dumb mistakes with each other, over and over again. Like, I hated Aidan and Carrie together and maybe that was the point? Sometimes, your girlfriend dates the wrong guy and she refuses to figure her sh-t out. In Carrie?s case, she only dated wrong guys though.
Anyway, it?s looking more and more like Corbett?s reunion with the team is a lot more *intensive* than originally believed. I thought, hey, maybe it?s like a three-episode reunion wherein a 57-year-old and a 61-year-old go out to dinner, talk about their pasts and understand why they were never supposed to be together long-term. But of course that?s not what?s happening. There are already photos of Carrie and Aidan holding hands, kissing, looking loved up. The photos in this post are from this week, where SJP, Corbett and David Eigenberg (Steve) were filming in Coney Island. Congrats to SJP she?s gonna ride this dead horse until her 70s.
(I do like seeing Steve though I guess the storyline is that Steve and Aidan are still bros and possibly still business partners. Carrie?s ?hanging out with the bros? ensemble is hilariously bad too those stupid boots, and it looks like she threw a coat over her pajamas.)

Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa are having a long engagement. Theyve been friends for 15 years, a couple since 2016, parents since 2018, and engaged since September 2021. In November, Kate mentioned they hadnt started planning the wedding yet and were in no hurry to do so. They were at the pre-planning the planning point. And now it seems like theyre nearing the end of the pre-planning point? Theyre planning to start planning, know it will be a destination wedding, and have some ideas, but Kate cant decide if she wants a large or small wedding.
Kate Hudson got engaged to Danny Fujikawa more than a year ago, but she?s nowhere close to walking down the aisle.
?Right now, planning a wedding feels insane, but I?m excited to plan a wedding, and I go back and forth between a small wedding and a large wedding,? she shared on Tuesday?s episode of the ?Table for Two? podcast.
Hudson, who was previously married to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, remembered her first wedding being ?so small.?
?So there?s a part of me that wants the big bash, you know?? she said. ?There?s, like, two sides to me: the big bash or the small, intimate [wedding]. I think somewhere in there I?m going to come up with both.?
The ?How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days? actress, 43, is also considering having a traditional Japanese wedding to ?honor? the heritage of her fianc and their 4-year-old daughter, Rani Rose.
?We do sometimes go back and forth with the traditional Japanese wedding ceremony, which would be really beautiful and quite emotional for Danny, seeing as his dad is gone,? she said.
The one thing Hudson, 43, is sure of is that her friends and family will have to travel if they want to witness her and Fujikawa, 36, tie the knot.
?It?ll totally be a destination wedding,? she said. ?It?ll be such an adventure that people will really want to have to come to show up. To me, those are always the most fun weddings. Like, if you really want to be there, you?ll be there.?
She joked, ?If someone?s like, ?I can?t really be there,? then I don?t want you there. That?s all I got right now. That?s all I got for the wedding.?

Since Kates first wedding to Chris Robinson was really small and intimate, it makes sense that she might want to do something completely different for her second wedding. But it would also make sense if they wanted to keep it small since theyve already been together so long and have a daughter Kate has said something to that effect before. But Kate says between big or small, maybe theyll come up with both does that mean somewhere in the middle or two weddings?! I dont think Dannys been married before; I wonder what his preference is. The traditional Japanese ceremony sounds like a lovely way to honor Dannys heritage and do something special. I could see them doing that and also having a big bash perhaps in Japan? Celebs are going to celeb and Kate and Danny seem fun so their destination wedding probably will be awesome.

Around this time last year, Avril Lavigne got engaged to Mod Sun, her then-boyfriend of about a year. He proposed in Paris, with a heart-shaped diamond ring, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Avril has already been married and divorced twice before, to Deryck Whibley and Chad Kroeger, and I think the reaction to her latest engagement was ?okay, sure, whatever you want, girl.? Maybe she wanted more drama or maybe they just fell apart, but Avril?s dumped Mod Sun and called off the engagement. The thing is, it doesn?t sound like she actually told him that she was dumping him.
She said, ?See you later boy.? Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun have called it quits and are no longer engaged. The ?Sk8er Boi? singer?s reps confirmed the breakup to Page Six on Tuesday.
However, the split appears to come as a surprise to Mod Sun, 35.
?They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that?s news to him,? his rep tells us. Despite being seemingly blindsided, we?re told the ?Karma? singer, who is currently still on tour, has no plans of slowing down when it comes to work.
?The show will happen tonight and tomorrow and for the rest of the tour,? his rep adds.
The former couple reportedly had been having issues in recent months, forcing them to break up and make up a few times, before finally ending the relationship for good. According to TMZ, cheating was not a cause for the split.
Lavigne, 38, and Mod Sun appeared to be amicable as of Tuesday afternoon ? as they both still follow each other on social media.
The news comes just days after Lavigne was spotted getting cozy with rapper Tyga at Nobu in Malibu, Calif., over the weekend.

I kind of admire Avil?s commitment to being Avril forever, you know? Her aesthetic is basically the same as it was twenty years ago, her stances on love and relationships have not changed or matured over time, and she?s still committed to being a bit dramatique. Dumping your fiance the second he leaves for a tour and announcing it publicly before telling him privately? Classic. I?m not mad at her it?s kind of funny? Poor Mod Sun, though. Yikes.
