If you told me Kate Hudson did an album ten years ago and it faded into obscurity I would believe you. Shes just someone who has her finger in a lot of pies, like Fabletics, a vodka brand and a supplement line. Shes said Im an Aries. I get bored. I gotta keep moving, which might explain her latest foray into music. Kate has released a single co-written with venerable multi-Oscar nominated Linda Perry and Kates fiance, musician Danny Fujikawa. Its called Talk about Love and its very mid, for lack of a better word. First heres People Magazines writeup about it. In her press release for the song, Kate said I wanted it to be something delicious and sexy and all the things that I believe in.
Kate Hudson?s debut single has landed!
The actress-turned-singer?s first song ?Talk About Love? has finally dropped after weeks of anticipation from fans, providing a burst of blended rock/pop sounds for listeners to enjoy.
In the song ? co-written with Linda Perry and Hudsons fianc Danny Fujikawa ? the actress, 44, celebrates having a love connection at the deepest level possible while belting out vocals over columns of synth, guitars and a jumping rhythm track guaranteed to raise the mood.
?You only have one first single,? Hudson said of her musical debut in a press release. ?And I wanted it to be something delicious and sexy and all the things that I believe in.?
?I wanted it to be open and seeking, searching to find something powerful. But I also wanted the music to be the rock, the pop, the dance music and even a bit of the alternative records I love,? she continued. ?It was a lot to put into one song, but thankfully, I had some wonderful people working with me. And so, here we are!?
Hudson worked independently with producer Johan Carlsson and Fujikawa to form a fresh sound for the song that also felt natural to her. The collaboration developed into the makings of an album which the actress has teased will be released later this year.

This single, which is below, isnt bad. I like the retro vibe, but its like a theme song on a CW show. Its budget Lady Gaga without the soul or variety. The refrain is OK and it grew on me I just dont find it memorable or catchy. Good for Kate for doing music if she wants though. There are so many other musicians who are doing complex, nuanced and haunting music who dont get much attention at all. Im thinking specifically of Chadwick Bosemans widow, Simone Ledward Boseman, who sings as sahn. Her music is phenomenal and some of her videos on YouTube have less than 2,000 views. Shes in a different genre and she does slower jams but they just have so much heart. Id love it if she got wider recognition. As for Kate, sometimes celebrities dabble in things they want to do rather than things theyre passionate about and it shows.
Heres that single from Kate.

It seems like Kate Hudson is reflecting a lot on her career lately. The past few things Ive read about her have been about her thoughts on nepotism, and her famous roles, interspersed with stuff about her upcoming, but still unplanned wedding. Kate recently appeared on Kelly Ripas podcast (everyone has a podcast) and talked about getting a lot of media attention early in her career and how it affected her self-image and love life.
Kate Hudson is getting real about life in the limelight.
During an appearance on the Lets Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa podcast, Hudson reflected on garnering so much media attention in the earlier days of her career.
When I got really famous, there was so many lies, said the Glass Onion actress, 43. It was so weird because in my mind it felt so unjust, like this is unfair.
Opening up about her experience, Hudson continued, They were so mean to women. I mean, the body-shaming from being too skinny to too fat to then going up your skirt and the cellulite.
The star added that her celebrity status also impacted her love life.
I couldnt speak to a man without being partnered with him. I couldnt sit and say hello to someone, she said. There was so much of it at such a rate that I couldnt in any way comprehend that I just realized I need to figure out how to not care about any of this.
At one point, Hudson said she refused to let it get to her.
It was so negative, she said. You just realize that youre letting them win the more you feel bad. If Im going to allow this negative energy to get into me, then they win. Ive given them all my power.
[From People]
Kates completely right that media is so mean to women. And Id argue that it still is, but it has moved more from the actual outlets being mean to social media meanness in the comments. Everyone has an opinion and the ones most often shared are the negative ones. And still, to this day, everyone gets body-shamed no matter what size they are. Womens bodies are a constant topic of conversation and of course it impacts your self-image to be scrutinized like that so consistently. I do remember people being kind of mean about her love life too. Maybe Kate wasnt even dating as much as we thought according to her comments on the podcast, but I remember people would call her man-eater and stuff like there was something wrong with enjoying single life. I think the tide has turned on that though because I dont see much commentary on her kids fathers. But three kids with three dads is positively quaint considering some of the stuff that male celebs get up to. Anyway, good for Kate for no longer letting negativity get to her. If she could bottle that and sell it, shed make a killing.

| Kate Hudson can't figure out whether she wants a large or small wedding | Added 636 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa are having a long engagement. Theyve been friends for 15 years, a couple since 2016, parents since 2018, and engaged since September 2021. In November, Kate mentioned they hadnt started planning the wedding yet and were in no hurry to do so. They were at the pre-planning the planning point. And now it seems like theyre nearing the end of the pre-planning point? Theyre planning to start planning, know it will be a destination wedding, and have some ideas, but Kate cant decide if she wants a large or small wedding.
Kate Hudson got engaged to Danny Fujikawa more than a year ago, but she?s nowhere close to walking down the aisle.
?Right now, planning a wedding feels insane, but I?m excited to plan a wedding, and I go back and forth between a small wedding and a large wedding,? she shared on Tuesday?s episode of the ?Table for Two? podcast.
Hudson, who was previously married to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, remembered her first wedding being ?so small.?
?So there?s a part of me that wants the big bash, you know?? she said. ?There?s, like, two sides to me: the big bash or the small, intimate [wedding]. I think somewhere in there I?m going to come up with both.?
The ?How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days? actress, 43, is also considering having a traditional Japanese wedding to ?honor? the heritage of her fianc and their 4-year-old daughter, Rani Rose.
?We do sometimes go back and forth with the traditional Japanese wedding ceremony, which would be really beautiful and quite emotional for Danny, seeing as his dad is gone,? she said.
The one thing Hudson, 43, is sure of is that her friends and family will have to travel if they want to witness her and Fujikawa, 36, tie the knot.
?It?ll totally be a destination wedding,? she said. ?It?ll be such an adventure that people will really want to have to come to show up. To me, those are always the most fun weddings. Like, if you really want to be there, you?ll be there.?
She joked, ?If someone?s like, ?I can?t really be there,? then I don?t want you there. That?s all I got right now. That?s all I got for the wedding.?
[From Page Six]
Since Kates first wedding to Chris Robinson was really small and intimate, it makes sense that she might want to do something completely different for her second wedding. But it would also make sense if they wanted to keep it small since theyve already been together so long and have a daughter Kate has said something to that effect before. But Kate says between big or small, maybe theyll come up with both does that mean somewhere in the middle or two weddings?! I dont think Dannys been married before; I wonder what his preference is. The traditional Japanese ceremony sounds like a lovely way to honor Dannys heritage and do something special. I could see them doing that and also having a big bash perhaps in Japan? Celebs are going to celeb and Kate and Danny seem fun so their destination wedding probably will be awesome.

| Kate Hudson on nepotism: 'if you work hard and you kill it, it doesn't matter' | Added 642 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kate Hudson is great in Knives Out 2: The Glass Onion. She?s definitely sending up a certain kind of privileged celebrity woman, the kind of tone-deaf, casually racist, vapid, past-her-prime beauty who gets by on her connections and her side-hustles. I can understand why Kate was cast, and I?m not saying that as a slam on Kate at all I actually like Kate Hudson a lot and I think she did a great job in The Glass Onion. But this definitely wasn?t a huge acting stretch for her. Kate has given several interviews to promote The Glass Onion, and the interviewers have started venturing into some of the topics of the day, namely ?cancel culture? and nepotism. From Kate?s interview in the Independent:
She?s well-liked by everyone because she keeps it real: ?I?ve not led a very traditional life, you know? Maybe that resonates? Women do come up to me and talk to me about their personal lives a lot. I think because I?ve always been really open and honest about everything. I could never be phoney about it. It?d be exhausting.?
What Kate thinks of people being ?canceled?: ?People should just have a deeper awareness, right? And people who don?t are being called out. We should hold people accountable who do anything that?s sexist, misogynistic, or racist. We should call out the lack of diversity in companies. Or the lack of women on boards. Kanye should be held accountable for his behaviour. Period. There are clear things that [warrant], you know, ?You?re cancelled, bye!??
She does feel like people should go easier on canceling the youths: ?If you?re over 40, there?s a line. Where it gets challenging is when it swings too far in the other direction. I don?t want kids to be scared to make art, or to say things. They need to take risks and speak their minds, because what they want to say could actually be really powerful. You can?t just cancel someone because they?ve made a little mistake. My only thing with ?cancel culture? is that it scares the younger generation. They don?t know if what they?re about to say is going to be met negatively or positively, so they just choose to not say anything. I think we can make a little bit of room for the younger generation to find their way.?
On her famous parents: ?When I was starting out, if anybody asked me about them, I?d always try and change the subject. I really wanted to have my own career. Once I was a good decade in, though, I realised it just didn?t matter. Sometimes talking about my parents was actually a great distraction from talking about the movie I was meant to be promoting.?
On nepotism & knowing her sh-t: ?There was a lot more criticism. I really felt like I had to know my s***, and be as prepared as I could be. It felt like I had to live up to something.? But she admits that there seemed to be a lot less ?son-or-daughter-ofs? back then. It meant a more glaring spotlight was placed on her. ?It was me, maybe Gwyneth I just felt so lucky to get parts. I think a lot of directors and producers didn?t want to hire me because they didn?t want [my parents] to become what the movie was about.? She definitely didn?t feel as if her parents helped her get work eventually, either. ?I remember Cameron Crowe saying that it wasn?t as if Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell showed up to his door with, like, trench coats on, holding a gun to his head and making him put me in the movie. That?s not how any of this works.?
More on nepotism: ?The nepotism thing, I mean I don?t really care. I look at my kids and we?re a storytelling family. It?s definitely in our blood. People can call it whatever they want, but it?s not going to change it. I actually think there are other industries where it?s [more common]. Maybe modelling? I see it in business way more than I see it in Hollywood. Sometimes I?ve been in business meetings where I?m like, wait, whose child is this? Like, this person knows nothing! I don?t care where you come from, or what your relationship to the business is ? if you work hard and you kill it, it doesn?t matter.?
[From The Independent]
Re: nepotism? I mean, she looks SO MUCH like her mother. That was a huge part of Kate?s selling point in the early days of her career, the fact that she looks so much like Goldie and she?s perky and blonde. Please, Hollywood sent Kate every rom-com script they had. So yeah, she got a huge leg up in the industry I wish she would acknowledge that in a real way. Other than that, I like and agree with everything else she says here. Nepotism happens in every industry, and I?m sure she?s been in business meetings where she knows more about the business than whatever Business Nepo Baby. I also like what she says about accountability and how a lot of people do deserve to be canceled for being deplorable.

| Kate Hudson in Vivienne Westwood at the VF Oscar party: actually really good? | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are more photos from the Vanity Fair Oscar party. There were so many Oscar attendees who changed their gowns to party, and there were so many ladies who just came out to party. Kate Hudson is a perpetual Oscar partier, although she?s usually also invited to present at the Oscars. It would have been nice to see her at the telecast, but it was also nice seeing some new faces present, and Kate seemed happy enough to just come out to the parties. She wore this rather stunning Vivienne Westwood gown. I?m a big fan of Westwood, and I love this on her. Sure, it was probably made for someone with more curves, but it looks fantastic on Hudson.
Olivia Wilde wore Fendi to the parties this is actually a jumpsuit, not a dress. It looks comfortable and sort of ?70s chic, which is her vibe.
Charlize Theron in Dior. This is so bad! I can?t believe Dior put their name on this mess. Still, I bet it was slightly more comfortable that her Oscar Dior.
Florence Pugh in Louis Vuitton. She looks like a chic baked potato slowly shedding its foil. Or something!
Sea Leydoux in Louis Vuitton. The dress is fine/pretty/flattering but her styling!! Lord, a center part and ?natural? makeup, can we not?
Gugu Mbatha Raw in a goth-glam Louis Vuitton. I feel like Rooney Mara is lusting over this dress.

| Kate Hudson is raising daughter Rani with a 'genderless' approach | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I completely blanked on the fact that Kate Hudson gave birth to a girl last year. She welcomed Rani Rose with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa in early October. Kate already had two sons Bingham and Ryder and I always wondered if she would eventually try to have a girl. Kate always seemed like the kind of person who really yearned for a daughter, so her third pregnancy was probably very exciting for her. You would think that after giving birth to this long-sought daughter, Kate would be going overboard everything Pink and frilly and feminine and tons of cute little baby dresses. But Kate says not so much, that she?s raising Rani with a more ?genderless? approach.
Kate Hudson isn?t putting any gender labels on little Rani Rose. The 39-year-old actress and WW ambassador revealed in a recent interview with AOL that she embraces a ?genderless approach? to parenting 3-month-old Rani and her two older brothers from Hudson?s previous relationships: Bingham Hawn, 7, and Ryder Russell, 15.
?[Having a daughter] doesn?t really change my approach, but there?s definitely a difference,? she told the outlet. ?I think you just raise your kids individually regardless ? like a genderless [approach]. We still don?t know what she?s going to identify as. I will say that, right now, she is incredibly feminine in her energy, her sounds and her way. It?s very different from the boys, and it?s really fun to actually want to buy kids? clothes. With the boys it was just onesies ? actually, I did pretty good with the boys,? she clarified with a laugh. ?But with her it?s a whole other ball game. There?s some stuff that I?m like, ?I can?t do that to her, because it?s so over-the-top.? ?
Hudson?s own upbringing ? as the only girl in a group of brothers, including Oliver Hudson and Wyatt Russell ? helped her be able to see the fluidity of gender roles.
?I was a tomboy in a spinning dress,? she shared. ?My middle brother [Boston Russell], who is closest to me in age, was basically my sister because I put makeup on him all the time, and I?d dress him up and he loved it. But growing up as a girl with all boys, you end up with a thick skin. You really do. People say, ?Oh, your brothers must?ve really protected you.? And I?m like, ?They threw me right into the fire!? ?
[From People]
I?m always a little bit jealous of women who grew up with brothers I?m an only child, and I never really longed for siblings, but it just seems to me like women who grew up as the only sister in families of boys turn out tough and with a healthy attitude towards men and male-female relationships. As for Rani Rose and the genderless parenting approach? I get what she means and I don?t think she means any harm. I think she?s just saying that she?s not going to force Rani into frilly dresses and ballet classes in general, and Kate will listen and be aware of Rani?s vibes rather than forcing some pre-subscribed gender roles onto her.

| Kate Hudson announces that she wants to lose 25 pounds by spring: doable? | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Unlike many celebrities, Kate Hudson is honest about the work it takes to lose baby weight. She doesnt claim to effortlessly shed it or to eat whatever she wants, she admits to counting calories and she said that after her second pregnancy she worked out six hours a day to lose the weight. Kate welcomed her third child, daughter Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa, almost two months ago. She also has sons Ryder, 14, and Bingham, 7.
In a post to Instagram Kate announced that shes planning to lose 25 pounds by this spring to be fit for a film. She also promoted her lifestyle brand, named after her books, its called Pretty Happy. She wrote that shell post tips on that Instagram account. This is a clever cross promotion as she also has that (arguably sketchy) subscription clothing line, Fabletics, and can build another brand and associated products. Unlike other celebrities, I sort of buy what Kate is selling as long as I dont have to prepay for it. Heres what she posted with the photo above.
Sohere we go! The routine with our baby is getting more familiar and I?m ready to start taking a little time in the day focusing on myself. For me that means my health. Why? Because I wanna be around a long time for these three kiddos of mine. I know that some are curious about what that means and for all you moms (wether [sic] working or not working moms) it is the most challenging thing in the world to balance kids and personal time. Let?s be honest, kids take the number one position and it?s haaaaard to make the time for yourself. I?ve been doing a lot of research and I?ve spent my life time trying all kinds of new things that are focused on health and wellness. Because I am on a mission right now to get back to my fighting weight and my strong body/mind back I want to bring you in on some of this journey. If you want to follow a more in-depth of my to-dos, @prettyhappyofficial will be posting all kinds of fun tidbits from exercises we are loving to foods/recipes we ?? and meditation practices I just can?t live without ???? MY GOAL: I will be shooting a film in the spring and I?m looking to shed 25lbs. I?d like to try new workouts and eat as healthy as I can. I wanna do all this and keep up milk production, raise my kids, work everyday, make time for my man, have girlfriend time and stay sane! ? I know that this sounds more like a new year resolution but after Thanksgiving and everyone thanking their health, I feel motivated to keep that up. Much love and hope everyone?s Having an amazing start to the holidays! ?
[From Instagram]
Its perfectly reasonable to lose a couple pounds a week without being deprived. She could lose eight pounds a month and reach her goal in three to four months no problem. Kate knows the math and shes not promoting a crash diet or an expensive cleanse that no one needs. I like this, especially because shes being honest about it. (Although shes not working 9 to 5 or longer outside the home and is lucky that way.) The Pretty Happy Instagram account has recently become more active and they have this very brief video post encouraging quick five minute workouts.

So many of us make the excuse ?I?m too busy to work out?, but science says that short bits of exercise throughout the day can add up to something big. Time to get moving between emails. ? ????
