I know I like to make fun ofSara Jean Underwood a lot for getting her loyal perverts — sorry, fans — to crowdfund her world travels, but honestly, good for her. I’d do it too, if I could somehow convince a bunch of dudes living in their mom’s basements to pay me a set fee […]

| Jennifer Lawrence flipped the bird at critics, CinemaScore & the world last night | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Last night, Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky attended a MoMA screening of their film, ?mother!?. I?m including a blurry photo of them inside the event, because the event included a giant Oscar statue, which means that this screening was, like, for Oscar voters. As in, even though most people think the film was terrible and it bombed at the box office, Aronofsky is still pushing for an Oscar campaign. Considering how much the Academy loves J-Law, maybe that?s not the worst plan, although I would say that right now, as the race stands, J-Law is not getting an Oscar nomination. Maybe a Golden Globe nom. But not an Oscar nom.
Anyway, the screening also involved a Q&A session with Aronofsky and J-Law. Considering Aronofsky had just unloaded to The Frame about how HE IS A PUNK ARTISTE and no one understands his HIGH ART because he is so deep and intellectual, I?m actually surprised he didn?t go off in the same direction at the session. Instead, J-Law was asked about ?F? CinemaScore, the bad reviews and the general critical eyeroll this film received. Her response? She flipped the bird.

| Please enjoy Kirsten Dunst in this absurd Rodarte ensemble at her premiere | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

With the combination of the Emmys, the film festivals and the start of the Oscar campaign season, I?ve been feeling like sort of a jerk about fashion. I actually do enjoy it when celebrities wear awful things because then I get to yell about it. But really? WTF are some of these designers even thinking? These are photos of Kirsten Dunst this week at the LA premiere of Woodshock, a film directed by Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy. Kiki has been wearing Rodarte throughout the promotional tour for the film, because derp, that?s the entire point: the film is basically an ?artsy? advertisement for Rodarte. So if you?ve spent all that money on an art film to sell clothes, wouldn?t you actually want to put your best designs on your star? I guess not! Because look what Rodarte hath wrought: a silly, fug dress with literal ruffles around the boobs. HIGH DESIGN. Much Rodarte. Kiki made this stupid dress even worse by adding a floral garland as a shawl. My God. At this same premiere, Kiki also told Us Weekly that she?s probably going to ask the Mulleavys to design her wedding gown when she marries Jesse Plemons. I hope that they make sure to outline her boobs in baby-ruffles on her wedding dress too.
What else? This movie has a simple plot: a woman, played by Kiki, grieves for her deceased mother by going to the woods and getting high. She also eats cake. Apparently, Kiki accidentally got super-high during filming because some sketchy prop dudes gave her actual joints to smoke. Some highlights from her EW interview:
How she accidentally ended up getting high: ?We had a prop team, but I don?t think they knew how to roll joints, so they just asked somebody who was around. I don?t know how they found this person, but I guess they threw in some fun nuggets for us. After this happened to me? some [crew members] took the weed home, and they were like, ?That was some of the strongest weed I?ve ever smoked.?… They asked someone to roll some fake joints and they thought, oh, that?s fun, let?s throw a couple of these in.
Eating cake in ?Woodshock? and macarons in ?Marie Antoinette?: ?I think I?m eating the cake with disdain, here. I have one bite and spit it out! But, Sofia [Coppola] and I kick ourselves; we should have invested in Ladure after Marie Antoinette because those stores popped up everywhere [after we used their macarons in the movie]. Recently, I was in France with my friend and my goddaughter, and the little girl wants macarons all the time. We went inside a Ladure, and I was telling my friend how Sofia and I should?ve bought stock in the company before the movie. We didn?t know it?d turn into such a big thing. And then these girls walked out of the store and saw me. They were like, ?Oh, Kirsten! The reason we got macarons is because of Marie Antoinette!? And I was like, there you go. We made macarons hot again…They?re everywhere. They?re even in airports! There were none when we made our movie…Yes, we messed up not investing in them. But, okay, I feel like I have to move on to savory [in my next movie]. Pasta, I don?t know.
[From EW]
She really sounds bummed that she didn?t invest in Laduree! That?s funny. True story: I never saw Marie Antoinette. Should I? It felt like a movie I would not enjoy. Woodshock also seems like a movie I would not enjoy – I would rather get high and eat cake rather than pay to watch someone else get high and eat cake.

| Selena Gomez: 'I would have all of the same issues' if I wasn't famous | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Selena Gomez did an extensive interview with Business of Fashion to promote her collaboration with Coach, out now. (As a side note, Selena?s bags with Coach aren?t much of a departure from their classic collection and are disappointing to me. I was expecting more innovative designs. She just has a couple of different wristlets, some cute key charms, and a satchel/carryall that looks like so many other purses. I was expecting more boho and/or young-looking pieces, like patchwork or fringe purses, but Coach already has those.)
Getting back to the interview, I was surprised by how much Selena opened up to BoF, especially considering that it was conducted over Facetime. The interviewer, Imran Amed, did his homework on Selena and he reached the same conclusion that so many of us have – that her appeal lies in her vulnerability and in her quest to be true to herself and with her fans. That really shines through here, and I would suggest that you read whole piece if you?re interested. It’s very long and is a deep dive into her thought process and motivations. Here are some highlights and it’s worth noting that this interview was conducted before Selena revealed that she’d had a kidney transplant earlier this summer.
“What do you think is the biggest challenge for your generation?”
The biggest challenge is separating what you see on your phone from what is your life. A lot of young girls are getting involved with things that I didn?t even know about, quicker… I see a disconnect from real life connections to people, and that makes me a little worried. I do think social media is an amazing way to stay connected, to learn more things about what?s going outside your little bubble, but sometimes I think it?s too much information.
“What are the key things that make your generation different ? apart from social media and technology?”
There?s more freedom in expression, not just through social media, but through fashion, and the ability to say things and be vocal about how you?re feeling, maybe your sexuality or your personality. It?s become a little more open for conversation.
Her mom told her to be humble from a young age
[My mom] said, ?This entire industry is going to tell you you?re perfect and you?re great, and I?m going to tell you that you?re no better or bigger than anyone. You are the person that you are, and you are very lucky.? That?s something that?s always been replaying in my head. She just taught me to be kind, and that?s about understanding where I?m at. But it got harder the older I was getting. I was actually more confident when I was younger than I am now.
She came to understand that show business can be slimy
When I got older, I started to become exposed to the truth behind some stuff and that?s when it flipped a little bit. I realised that, ?Oh this is actually really hard, and kind of slimy in certain areas,? and I didn?t realise that certain people wanted certain things from me. My confidence went through a lot with that.
On if she would have the same issues as a non-famous person
No, I think I would have all of the same issues. I think mine are amplified just a little bit only because of the public aspect, but I do think they?re very similar. When it comes to the internal stuff ? the insecurities, growing up, friendships, family, mental health, all of that stuff.
“You?re back in the spotlight again, after having gone through that very difficult period. What tools do you use now to cope so that you don?t fall back into that place?”
Balance the power of saying no and self-care. I have to take care of myself and not feel guilty about it. I will say no when I need to say no, and I will make sure that I will not overdo everything because I feel like if I don?t accept everything that?s happening then maybe it seems like I?m ungrateful, or I?m not doing enough. I just have to take care of myself. Therapy, faith, hard work, kindness. That?s it.
[From Business of Fashion]
There’s so much more about her conflicted feelings about social media, how she’s both fascinated and repelled by it (a lot of us can relate) and how she feels like she would have the same issues and problems she’s having as a non-famous person. And that?s why Selena is considered the face of the millennials. She doesn?t just give soundbytes or calculated revelations about her life, she opens up on a level that makes it sound like she?s confiding in a best friend. In turn some fans consider her one.
Here’s Selena’s new puppy, she got it with The Weeknd.
Oh and Selena just got a Puma contract. Take that Adidas.

| Audrina Patridge files for divorce, accuses her estranged husband of abuse | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

When Audrina Patridge was pregnant last year, I covered a magazine interview she did with Fit Pregnancy. It seemed like the vapid girl from The Hills was all grown up – she seemed happy, confidant and low-key. She met an Aussie guy named Corey Bohan and they were together for several years before she got pregnant. She gave birth to a baby girl in June 2016, and then she and Corey married last November. All of it seemed very low-key and normal. Which is how all of those Dateline specials start, before you hear about how the nice, normal dude that she married is a raging psycho. Audrina filed for divorce this week after what sounds like a nightmarish situation.
Audrina Patridge is divorcing her husband of less than a year, on the heels of running to court to get protection from him … TMZ has learned. The former ‘Hills’ star filed to divorce Corey Bohan on Wednesday, and according to docs the split appears to be triggered by a series of incidents she considers menacing and emotionally abusive.
In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Audrina says the violence began in mid August when they argued about her accusing him of cheating. She says she was holding their daughter, Kirra Max, when Corey pushed her back. Audrina says he then emptied out her backpack and purse, and began punching himself in the head … and threatening to bash himself in the head with a metal canister if she left. She says Corey had threatened suicide before — in July while she was out of town on a business trip.
According to docs, on Sept. 6, Corey was at home watching Kirra, and when Audrina got home, he began calling her names and harassing her. Audrina says she grabbed Kirra and went upstairs, but he followed and told her she’s “f**ked up” because of her childhood and her messed up mother. She says she started recording video of him, and he said, “Grow some balls and pull the trigger and file for divorce.” At this point, she says she was terrified and called police to file a report. On Sept. 15, she says child protective services came to the house to meet with her.
Her breaking point came this past weekend. Audrina says she was on a panel at a beauty event, and Corey showed up and followed her on the stage. She doesn’t say it got physical, but he demanded to know where Kirra was and said he was going to get her. Audrina says, “I was shaking at this point.” Audrina filed for a temporary restraining order against him on Monday, Sept. 18 … which was granted. Audrina’s rep says, “Audrina’s number one priority is her daughter.”
[From TMZ]
TMZ provided another story later in the day: when Audrina went to their house on Monday and tried to get some of her stuff and he refused to leave when she arrived – at this point, she already had the restraining order, so he broke the order just by refusing to leave. He apparently also had a bunch of security cameras installed in the house to ?keep tabs on her.? When she told him to leave, he called her a C-U-Next-Tuesday.
TMZ also says that Audrina knows exactly what she wants from the divorce: primary custody of Kirra, Corey isn?t allowed to take Kirra to Australia, and she doesn?t want to give him any spousal support. He?s a BMX dude, so I would assume he?s got some money coming in, but who knows? Anyway? poor Audrina. It sounds like she?s doing everything right and good for her for getting out. As for that little sidenote about their argument and Corey telling Audrina that her mother is f–ked up? I remember Audrina?s mother. Audrina?s mother is FUN (and drunk).
