Mariah Carey covered some special Christmas issue of People Magazine, and I believe that?s how People Mag got the ?tip? that Mariah and Bryan Tanaka had split. From the sound of it, they broke up months ago and the whole thing was barely a story because? honestly, people forgot they were together. They?ve been together since 2016 (they got together quickly in the wake of her split from James Packer) but they?ve never been joined at the hip, and it seemed more like a relationship of convenience and stable PR more than anything else. My point is that no one really gave a sh-t about Bryan apart from Mariah, but now we?re getting ?his side? of the breakup. Apparently, he wants children.
Mariah Carey and her longtime boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, have called it quits because he wanted kids, a source tells Page Six exclusively. We are told that the age gap of 14 years played a role with Tanaka, 40, wanting different things than Carey, 54.
?He wants to have a family. That?s not where she is at,? says the source.
Carey shares 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with her ex-husband Nick Cannon. Tanaka, on the other hand, does not have children of his own.
The ?Fantasy? singer and backup dancer were together for seven years.
Eyebrows were raised this week when the Queen of Christmas went on her annual trip to Aspen, Colo., solo. Tanaka was also missing from her ?Merry Christmas One and All!? tour that started in November at the Yaamava Resort & Casino in Highland, Calif.
?He wants to start having his own life,? another source told us of the split.

This is something of a trend this year too men initiating a split or divorce because they suddenly realize that they want to be a father. It was the same with Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara. Like? did Bryan just realize that after seven years with Mariah? I don?t know it is what it is, if he wants something different or he just realized that he wants to be a father, so be it. Y?all know that Mariah wants no part in having another round of Dem Babies. You know what? I kind of hope Bryan got a nice check to go away quietly and not make too much noise. I wonder.

In June Kesha and Dr. Luke announced that they had reached a settlement after nearly 10 years of suits and countersuits. Kesha originally sued Dr. Luke to get out of her contract with him and his Kemosabe Records, on the grounds that he had raped, drugged, and verbally and physically abused her. Dr. Luke then countersued Kesha for defamation, and refused to let her out of her contract. The timing of the settlement news was a bit curious as it came just after courts had started ruling in Kesha?s favor. In their carefully worded joint statement, Kesha said she was ?looking forward to closing the door on this chapter of my life and beginning a new one.? For his part, Dr. Luke?s comments made it clear he was still a passive aggressive POS. As this year draws to a close, it seems Kesha really is wrapping up this chapter of her life: she is finally contractually free from Dr. Luke and Kemosabe Records, and she?s also parting ways with her management of 16 years.
Kesha has parted ways with both her label and management, a source close to the situation tells Variety. The news comes six months after the singer settled multiple lawsuits with her former producer and label owner Dr. Luke, which stretched over nearly 10 years but were settled out of court in June.
The singer?s deal with Luke?s label, Kemosabe, which is distributed by RCA Records, officially ended last week, the source says, seven months after the release of her last contractual album with the label, ?Gag Order,? which was released in May. In a statement to Variety, a rep for her longtime manager confirmed on Tuesday that the singer has also parted ways with the company: ?Jack Rovner confirms, after 16 years, Kesha and Vector Management have agreed amicably to part ways, with much love and respect.?
Kesha followed with a statement of her own shortly after: ?My manager has been an unwavering supporter of helping me get through the lengthy legal battle I have been embroiled in for almost a decade. We have achieved many great successes and have shared a magnificent part of my life with me. I am so grateful to them and always will be. In need of a fresh start in my life, we have parted ways but I will remain forever grateful for the run we had.? The singer is said to be in discussions with potential new managers; reps for Kemosabe and RCA either declined or did not immediately respond to Variety?s requests for comment.

This has been a long, harrowing fight for Kesha. It took a lot of strength for her to keep going with the lawsuits and to continue growing as a person and an artist ? all while knowing her music was still making money for Dr. Luke. While the settlement in June was a big victory (although I?m sure we?ll never know what was paid out), being rid of the contract was always the end goal. It may not have happened as early as she wanted, but there?s still something satisfying about this coming together at the end of the year. She has a purely fresh start for 2024. And she knows it too, judging by the fantastic Instagram post she put up this week: a tasteful pic of her from behind, naked and wading in water, with the caption ?Coming back home to me .? Welcome home, Kesha.

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have been married for eight years. They have an almost-four-year-old daughter, Raddix (she?s four in January). Last year, Cameron re-entered the movie biz after taking almost a decade off. Back in 2020, she branched out and launched a zero-sugar, organic grape-based wine label called ?Avaline.? In a recent appearance on the Lipstick on the Rim podcast to promote Avaline, Cameron let it slip that her husband, Good Charlotte?s Benji Madden, is a snorer, which prompted her to share her ideal living situation: separate bedrooms!
?We should normalize separate bedrooms,? Cameron said after one ladies admitted that her husband snores.
?To me, I would literally, I have my house, you have yours,? Cameron explained. ?We have the family house in the middle. I will go and sleep in my room. You go sleep in your room. I?m fine.?
She added, ?And we have the bedroom in the middle that we can convene in for our relations.?
When one of the hosts joked that the revelation might be controversial, Cameron joked that she can?t take it back now.
?I?ve already said it,? Cameron said, before clarifying, ?By the way, I don?t feel that way now because my husband is so wonderful. I said that before I got married.?.

I don?t think this is controversial at all! I think we can all relate to this sentiment at some point or other. I?m also a snorer (I?m actually doing one of those at-home sleep apnea studies in March; Ive heard theyre awful) and Mr. Rosie sometimes jokes about wanting his own room on the nights where the Pink noise app doesn?t drown me out, lol. I say to each their own. There are societal norms that change throughout the times, but there?s no set rules that couples have to adhere to in order to be in a ?good? relationship. Relationships are built on love, trust, and mutual respect. If you want to sleep in separate bedrooms and that works for both of you, then sleep in separate bedrooms! Relationships can be as conventional or unconventional as you mutually agree upon. I?m not proposing you go all Will-and-Jada on it, but you and your partner have to do what works best for the two of you.
