| Mary-Kate Olsen has an 'ironclad prenup?: 'Her business & fortune are protected' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?m still obsessed with the Mary-Kate Olsen divorce story. It just came out of nowhere, and it?s already so messy. MK met Olivier Sarkozy in 2012 and they married over the Thanksgiving 2015 holiday. In the rare moments when MK spoke about her wife-life, she made it sound very simple she worked on her fashion lines, then she would go home, make dinner for herself and Olivier, and then on weekends she had her horses (she?s does dressage, I think). Now there?s a wealth of shenanigans though apparently, she wanted to file for divorce last month, but the NY courts wouldn?t let her because of the shutdown. Olivier tried to kick her out of the house they owned together, and now she?s getting an emergency order and trying to get the divorce filing through. She?s also trying to get her prenup enforced. Us Weekly had an exclusive about that:
Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy?s divorce may be messy due to the coronavirus pandemic, but things should be easy for the actress once proceedings begin ? thanks to her ?ironclad prenup,? a source tells Us Weekly exclusively.
?Her business interests and fortune are protected,? the source adds. The 33-year-old fashion designer owns and operates The Row, a couture clothing line she and sister Ashley Olsen founded in 2006. Items on The Row?s website include $1,600 cotton pants, $4,800 suede jackets and beyond. The twins also run contemporary fashion label Elizabeth and James.
Mary-Kate hasn?t appeared onscreen since 2011?s Beastly, but in addition to her career as a child actor, the Los Angeles native had memorable turns on Weeds and alongside Josh Peck in 2008?s The Wackness. Her many career accomplishments landed her on Forbes? 30 under 30 All-Star Alumni list in 2017. Together, she and Ashley have an estimated net worth of $500 million.
[From Us Weekly]
MK and Ashley have a joint net worth of $500 million? I think it?s more than that, actually. They started their businesses when they were kids, and The Row is a big deal, as is Elizabeth & James.
Meanwhile, whenever people talk about MK?s wedding, they always bring up the Page Six scoop that her wedding involved ?bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes, and everyone smoked the whole night.? She had her reception at a private residence on 49th Street. Here?s something I forgot though Olivier?s ex-wife HATED everything about her ex?s relationship:
Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy are divorcing after five years of marriage and its a union thats been branded odd right from the start. Olivier, brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, and former child star Mary-Kate were a match that no-one saw coming. The French banker was 42 in 2012 when he first stated dating Mary-Kate, who was 25 at the time, and he was divorced with two children.
His ex-wife Charlotte Sarkozy, who was married to him for 14 years, seemed to be against the relationship from the very start, branding the 17-year age difference grotesque. She reportedly told the National Enquirer: Thats not right. Its grotesque.
He was also mocked in the French press over his relationship with the American star, with many publications branding him the little French lover despite towering over his 5ftfive partner at over 6ft tall.
Reports suggest Sarkozy was ready to pop the question after just 10 months of dating, but TV-star-turned-fashion designer Mary-Kate made him wait three years before saying yes.
[From The Daily Mirror]
I forgot about all that. I mean? the French peeps weren?t the only ones to think that this was one odd couple. Here in America, we were like ?WTF? as well. But we?ve accepted our little goth hobo bag lady twins and we?re prepared to take MK?s side in the divorce! BOOOO Sarko.

| Duchess Kate has been wearing rainbow colors because she 'loves literal dressing' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Because we?re bored and we always enjoy talking about the Duchess of Cambridge?s Victorian Button Cosplay, several outlets are doing crazy in-depth pieces about Kate?s ?quarantine fashion.? Kate has not done a public event since March 20th, when she and William visited an emergency call center and didn?t practice social distancing (nor did they wear masks). After that, Kate took several weeks off, but lately she?s been doing more Zoom events from Anmer Hall, and to her credit because she?s literally praised for it she?s been wearing real clothes and not sweatpants/jeggings and stained t-shirts. And the colors! Apparently, she?s been wearing all of the colors of the rainbow:
Eagle-eyed fan account @CambridgeMums pointed out that the Duchess has actually been wearing the colours of the rainbow, which has become a national symbol of support for the NHS during the crisis. Kate is known for her love of literal dressing, and regularly gives a nod to the event she is attending and countries she is visiting with her clothing.
[From The Daily Mail]
LMAO @ ?Kate is known for her love of literal dressing.? I?m sorry, but did the Daily Mail really write that, I AM DYING. That?s Daily Mail-speak for ?Ol? girl is simple. So simple that this literal dresser cosplays the Irish flag in Ireland and thinks clown ruffles are the height of fashion. THAT KIND OF SIMPLE.?
Meanwhile, Us Weekly also had a ?let?s praise Kate for wearing clothes again? story:
Kate Middleton is just like Us! She?s the queen ? or duchess ? of recycling outfits for special occasions, because a great outfit should never go to waste. On Friday, May 8, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a red L.K. Bennett dress to celebrate V-E Day over Zoom alongside Prince William, an elegant number she previously wore to a Wimbledon match in 2015.
?Like most people, Kate doesn?t think twice about recycling clothes,? a royal insider reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. ?She thinks it would be a waste to wear something once and then throw it away. And as the UK taxpayers contribute towards the royal family?s upkeep, it wouldn?t be a good look if she spent a fortune on clothing.?
The list of Middleton?s iconic fashion repeats goes on and on, to the surprise of many. ?Everyone thinks that the royals live like wealthy celebrities, but if the truth be known they?re actually pretty frugal with money and don?t lead an extravagant lifestyle? the royal expert continues. ?They try to be as normal and relatable to the public as possible.?
To retain the semblance of normalcy, the duchess doesn?t ask for help from a stylist on her days off. ?She usually throws on a pair of jeans and a shirt or sweater,? says the source.
If you?re anything like Us, then you?re probably desperately wondering what her closet must look like. It?s certainly complete with designer labels and exquisite formalwear, but some of the affordable brand names in her closet might surprise you. ?Kate doesn?t have a closet full of haute couture gowns? says the royal expert. ?Yes, she has some designer pieces, but she mainly wears high-street brands like Zara, Marks & Spencer and TopShop when she isn?t attending a posh event.?
[From Us Weekly]
Except that Kate does spend a fortune on clothing. Just for the Irish tour, she spent 26,420 on new clothing and that doesn?t even include that hideous vintage clown-ruffle dress she wore. Kate has always spent too much money on clothes (so did Meghan). And now she?s being praised for re-wearing those expensive clothes on Zoom calls at home? I would sigh, but I?m still giggling to myself about Kate being a ?literal dresser.?

Back when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were just little kids, I never would have predicted that they would turn out to be such eccentric and private adults. They were blonde and cute they loved fashion. They could have ended up making mall clothes for the rest of their lives. They could have been falling out of clubs and ripped through A-list and B-list boyfriends. Instead, they seemed to find inspiration from, like, Miss Havisham. They walk red carpets like creepy hobo ghosts. They are respected designers and creators of several major, quality fashion lines. MK is the one who got married Ashley is the permanently single (and she has quietly dated some actors). MK settled down with Olivier Sarkozy, brother to the former French president. Olivier is seventeen years older than Mary-Kate. I never even got much of a vibe one way or the other from then. And I never will, because they?re getting a divorce! Huh.
Mary-Kate Olsen wants to get divorced, but shes hit a major roadblock coronavirus, so now she wants an emergency court order to speed things along. Mary-Kate says her attorneys got an email from her husband, Pierre Olivier Sarkozys attorneys this week giving her a May 18 deadline to get her stuff out of their NYC apartment. She claims Pierre is trying to force her out, because he terminated their lease without her knowledge.
She says shes been asking Pierre to give her until May 30, but claims he hasnt responded.
In the docs, obtained by TMZ, she says she cant meet the deadline this coming Monday because of quarantine guidelines in the city. Mary-Kate says the only way she can protect her property is if shes to file a divorce petition. That would trigger an automatic court order preventing him from disposing of her property.
Mary-Kate says she signed a petition for divorce back on April 17, but was informed NY courts were not accepting divorce filings other than emergencies due to the COVID-19 pandemic that was raging in the city. Shes requesting an emergency order to allow her to file the divorce. Shes included her divorce petition in the filing, and in those docs, she requests their prenuptial agreement be enforced.
Olivier, a French banker, and Mary-Kate tied the knot in November 2015 in an intimate Manhattan ceremony. They started dating in 2012. They dont have any kids together Olivier has 2 from his first marriage. This was Mary-Kates marriage and now her first divorce.
[From TMZ]
Oh, I bet she HATES that this much information is out there. Both twins are so private and this is SO MESSY. So, from what I understand is that Mary-Kate wanted to file for divorce a month ago but the NY courts wouldn?t let her because of the lockdown. So then Olivier decided to screw over his soon-to-be estranged wife by ordering her out of the New York home they shared (and likely split costs?). And MK is the one with a motherfking prenup, people. I have no doubt that Olivier is rich (he?s always described as a ?banker?), but MK has major assets and I?m proud of her for protecting those assets with a prenup. I would also imagine that this apartment is not the only property she owns in New York? Update: okay, yes, this was a leased property, but they have owned property together, and MK has owned property on her own, sorry about the confusion. But that doesn?t matter no one should be bitchily forcing their spouse out of a cohabitation situation during a pandemic. Merde!

| Matthew McConaughy wonders why both sides can't simply unite & fight the pandemic | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I understand people have nostalgia for ?a simpler time? when Americans of all political sides would have come together in a crisis. I would have liked to see that during the pandemic too, to have people across the political spectrum working together to help marginalized communities and ensure the safety of the population. Instead, we have morons armed with assault rifles storming state capitol buildings because they can?t get a haircut. We have a medical community overworked and under-resourced, and now fighting ?deep state conspiracies? about whether or not coronavirus data is being overinflated (it is not). The current problem is not that ?both sides? need to find a way to come together. The current problem is that one side has the left and middle ground and the other side is full of automatic-weapon-wielding racist moron-thugs who think viruses are some kind of liberal conspiracy. So? Matthew McConaughey made a PSA about how we need to work together.
Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey joined Special Report with Bret Baier Tuesday to discuss the politicization of the coronavirus pandemic and deliver a message of unity to Americans.
I could feel that this united purpose we all have as Americans to beat this enemy and this virus, that purpose got hijacked by partisan politics, McConaughey said. The narrative became, if you want to go to work, youre on the far right. If you dont go to work, you want to stay home, youre on the far left. And now even the mask wearing is getting politicized, where if you want to wear a mask, you wear a mask, youre a liberal. And if you dont, youre conservative. And thats just not true.
McConaughey said the politicization had divided America into fighting two wars, one against each other and the other against the virus. But if we try to fight the one against the virus, which is the one we should be fighting, McConaughey said. Were gonna beat it.
The actors message of unity is behind a recently released PSA with co-producer Roy Spence, which tells Americans that the coronavirus is not a political issue. Part of it is saying just that, to remind us that this is not about politics. Its about us, the USA, McConaughey said. Were gonna take care of each other. Right now we have a collective purpose. Look at who we are in World War II. And we have a crisis that came to us. We were united in that purpose. And all of a sudden the human factor started to get split and two tribes started fighting each other in partisan politics, McConaughey said. And that is not what we need. We need a collection right now. This is a tug of war at the virus. We need all hands on the rope.
McConaughey added that following social distancing guidelines and using masks were short term solutions to help science catch upI think theyre Band-Aids to hold off until science catches up, until theres not two patients for every one bed like there was in New York, until we see that an asymptomatic person doesnt give it to someone who didnt have it, McConaughey said. So we can protect the elderly, especially and the younger ones. This is unchartered waters. Theres not a playbook.
[From Fox News]
We were told to social-distance and go into lockdown and wear masks as a way to buy time for the government and the scientific community to catch up. And in two months of lockdown, all that?s happened is tens of thousands of deaths, armed morons being crazy, and a Republican White House more focused on shifting blame and squandering any and all goodwill. All of the things that should have happened in those two months did NOT happen. And it?s okay to talk about that too. Yeah, it would be great if we could come together as a country to work together and face this all as one. But? it?s not going to happen.
Honestly, I couldn?t even get through this PSA. This is just an ad for the Republican Party.
