Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have been married for eight years. They have an almost-four-year-old daughter, Raddix (she?s four in January). Last year, Cameron re-entered the movie biz after taking almost a decade off. Back in 2020, she branched out and launched a zero-sugar, organic grape-based wine label called ?Avaline.? In a recent appearance on the Lipstick on the Rim podcast to promote Avaline, Cameron let it slip that her husband, Good Charlotte?s Benji Madden, is a snorer, which prompted her to share her ideal living situation: separate bedrooms!
?We should normalize separate bedrooms,? Cameron said after one ladies admitted that her husband snores.
?To me, I would literally, I have my house, you have yours,? Cameron explained. ?We have the family house in the middle. I will go and sleep in my room. You go sleep in your room. I?m fine.?
She added, ?And we have the bedroom in the middle that we can convene in for our relations.?
When one of the hosts joked that the revelation might be controversial, Cameron joked that she can?t take it back now.
?I?ve already said it,? Cameron said, before clarifying, ?By the way, I don?t feel that way now because my husband is so wonderful. I said that before I got married.?.
[From Just Jared]
I don?t think this is controversial at all! I think we can all relate to this sentiment at some point or other. I?m also a snorer (I?m actually doing one of those at-home sleep apnea studies in March; Ive heard theyre awful) and Mr. Rosie sometimes jokes about wanting his own room on the nights where the Pink noise app doesn?t drown me out, lol. I say to each their own. There are societal norms that change throughout the times, but there?s no set rules that couples have to adhere to in order to be in a ?good? relationship. Relationships are built on love, trust, and mutual respect. If you want to sleep in separate bedrooms and that works for both of you, then sleep in separate bedrooms! Relationships can be as conventional or unconventional as you mutually agree upon. I?m not proposing you go all Will-and-Jada on it, but you and your partner have to do what works best for the two of you.

| Cameron Diaz's beauty regime: 'I literally do nothing. I like never wash my face' | Added 983 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Cameron Diaz was once ubiquitous around the Hollywood scene of parties, premieres, awards shows. She worked a lot throughout her 20s and 30s, and she ended up burning out and walking away from that life. Notably, she still lives in LA. She still has big-name celebrity friends and she occasionally pops up at engagement parties, bridal showers, baby showers and the like. She?s a mom now to Raddix Madden, and she apparently still gets offers to make a film comeback, but she turns everything down. So does she still care about glitz and glamour? Not really. Diaz chatted with Michelle Visage?s BBC podcast Rule Breakers about how the Hollywood game is a trap and said she never even washes her face these days.
Whether she cares about her appearance: I dont care. Literally, the last thing I think about on a daily basis ? like maybe not at all during the day ? is what I look like.
She doesn?t wash her face: Additionally, in her chat with Visage, 53, the Golden Globe nominee also revealed she has not put much effort into her beauty regime despite owning a billion products on her shelves. I literally do nothing. I like never wash my face?Twice a month if Im lucky, Ill be like, Oh, I better put this on. One time works, right? Like is that all I have to do? Im just not in that place right now like where I put any energy.
Hollywood is a trap: ?Again, I just go back to the trap of it all, especially in our society, like what we value, what we think is important. Look. if its important to you, thats fine.?
Objectification: ?I am absolutely a victim to all of the societal objectifications and exploitations that women are subjected to. I have bought into all of them myself at certain times. It is hard not to look at yourself and judge yourself against certain markers of beauty. I think that?s one of the biggest things of the last eight years. I?m like a wild animal, like a beast. I don?t care. It?s the last thing I think about on a daily basis.?
She looks in mirrors less frequently: That was something she could rarely avoid as an actor who sometimes had to sit in front of one for ?seven hours a day.? ?You?re just sitting in front of the mirror, and it?s toxic. You just start to pick yourself apart. You?re like, ?Why am I sitting here being so mean to myself???
She is strong: My body is strong. My body is capable. Why am I going to talk down to it and be mean to it when it?s carried me this far? It?s given me this much experience. All the things I?ve gotten to do because my body has taken me there, been strong enough to get me there. Why am I going to abuse it and be mean to it? It?s not to say I haven?t done those things, but when I am in there, I?m like, ?Wait, let?s really think about it.??
Turning 50 this year: ?I?m going to be 50 this year. Isn?t that so exciting? I can?t wait. I can?t wait to be 50. I just know more. I?ve done so much.?
[From People & Yahoo]
I?m with her about not picking yourself apart and not looking in mirrors constantly and appreciating what you have and all of that. But?to not wash your face? To barely use products? I?m not saying you should use everything all the time, but I think it?s just smart to, like, wash your face every day and use a night cream and an eye cream. Sure, it?s a little bit vain, but it?s also just a small part of self-care. Especially for someone like Cameron, who has always battled breakouts regardless of age. I just can?t do this if we?re getting another round of white celebrities talking about how they rarely bathe or how never washing your face is a good thing.

Cameron Diaz is such a curious Hollywood case at one point, she was the biggest name in Hollywood, the highest-paid actress and one of the few women who could get a film greenlighted on her name alone. She had her pick of scripts and projects and she was moving between art films and studio films, etc. But years ago, it was almost like she just intended to take a few years off, and the years began piling up and now we?ll probably never see her act again. Her daughter Raddix Chloe Wildflower Madden was born about 14 months ago, and Cameron says that now that she?s a mom, she has zero interest in being on a set for 14 hours a day.
Cameron Diaz isnt in a hurry to step in front of the camera again. The actress, 48, appeared on the SiriusXM show Quarantined with Bruce to promote her new wine line, Avaline, Thursday and spoke about whether shed return to acting.
Will I ever make a movie again? Im not looking to, but will I? I dont know. I have no idea, she said. Maybe, never say never, but I couldnt imagine being a mom now where Im at as a mother with my child at her first year to have to be on a movie set that takes 14 hours, 16 hours of my day away from my child.
Diaz welcomed her 1-year-old daughter Raddix with her husband Benji Madden in December 2019. She continued, I just couldnt I wouldnt have been the mom that I am now had I chosen to do that at any other time in my life. I feel for so many mothers who cant, that have to go to work, you know, whatever theyre doing. I feel so much for them and for their children and for all of that, but it does really take a village.
I just feel so blessed that I get to be here now with my child and, you know, get to be the mother that I get to be, she said. Its such a blessing, its completely privileged, and Im just really, really grateful.
Diaz said she felt fulfilled to simply focus on her business and her family. Thats pretty much it right now. Avaline is the only sort of day-to-day work that Im doing other than, you know, being a wife and a mother, she said, adding that it has been rewardingIt really has been the most fulfilling part of my life so far.?
[From People]
I think she has every right to be a stay-at-home mom if that?s what she wants, and she understands that many women don?t have that privilege. Cameron waited a while to become a mom, and she?s clearly obsessed with her happy little family. I guess it?s always a little bit strange to me that she managed to walk away so thoroughly, with so little fanfare. And she still lives in LA too she crops up in photos with her A-list friends, it?s clear that she?s still pretty social with the Hollywood crew. But she just got burned out, I guess. And now she doesn?t see a reason to go back to work.

If you hadn?t noticed, my new shady mantra is ?well, it?s not MY wedding/baby/marriage.? By that I mean, when a celebrity is making an awful personal decision, instead of bitching about it endlessly, I just try to be zen and understand that people have the right to make terrible decisions. It?s particularly bad when it?s a baby name though. Well, Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden welcomed their first child in late December. This baby girl was long-sought and long-awaited. And after all that time, they named the child RADDIX. Raddix Madden. And you know people are going to screw up the kid?s name forever. I personally almost called her Raddix Maddox. But it gets even worse and *deep breath* it?s not MY baby name.
Welcome to the world, Raddix Chloe Wildflower Madden! Exactly two weeks after Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden announced the birth of their baby girl, her (two!) middle names are now revealed. According to the newborns birth certificate obtained and published by The Blast, the Hollywood couple chose to incorporate Chloe and Wildflower into Raddixs full moniker.
The birth certificate also reveals Raddixs birthday: Dec. 30, 2019.
A source previously described Cameron and Benji as feeling absolutely elated since finally becoming parents five years after they tied the knot. The actress is solely focused on motherhood nowadays, with the insider sharing, Shes devoted to being a full-time mom. She feels she gave up a lot of time and valuable years working instead of being at home. Now is her time to be a mom and she is cherishing it. She has no plans to work at all.
[From E! News]
I feel like a lot of women from my generation and Cameron?s generation grew up loving the name Chloe. It was everywhere in the ?90s especially it felt like it was the ?It Name.? It got a bit oversaturated though. Still, it would have gone perfectly as a first name with this kid: Chloe Madden sounds so pretty. Then they could have done the one-two bonkers punch of Raddix Wildflower for the middle names. Basically, I think they just fked up the order. But I really dislike Wildflower, in case anyone is wondering. It?s cheeseball. But again, not my baby.

How many times have we all suggested that some celebrity ?take a break? or just take some time away from the spotlight? I feel like I personally give that advice to a lot of struggling celebrities, but few of them actually do it. I don?t think I ever said that Cameron Diaz needed a break, but that?s fine she took one anyway. She?s basically been away from the spotlight for five years (minus one book promotion). No movies, no international promotional tours, no interviews, just the occasional appearance on social media, or the rare tabloid report. Every now and then, one of her movies will come on and I?ll watch one The Holiday is always a favorite and remember how much fun she was to cover, and to just enjoy as an actress, and I sort of miss her. Which is weird, I know, because she was never really my fave. Anyway, Cameron participated in InStyle?s 25th anniversary issue and her piece is written as a first-person essay about why she?s on a break and how much happier she is. I believe that I bet she loves living a different way now. Some highlights:
On fame: ?I started when I was 22, so 25 years ago ? that?s a long time. The way I look at it is that I?ve given more than half of my life to the public. I feel it?s OK for me to take time for myself now to reorganize and choose how I want to come [back] into the world. If I decide to. I don?t miss performing. Right now I?m looking at the landscape of wellness and all that. But whatever I do, it has to be something I?m passionate about ? something that just feels effortless.
?90s nostalgia and the changing landscape: ?At this point, I?ve done so much, I feel fulfilled with the adventures I?ve sought out in my life. I?m in a great place, and the world is so different now too. The mid-1990s are an era that will never exist again. I?m just so grateful that I got to witness and partake in it. I look at technology now, and it?s unbelievable. Sure, you can post anything at any time on Instagram and you?re able to control your own narrative, and that?s incredible. But you?re tied to your phone, and you?re so dependent on it? We?ve lost touch with our humanity and our humanness, and I think it?s really healthy to not have to be accountable for every minute of our day.
She doesn?t owe anyone anything: ?It?s fun to just not have anybody know what I?m up to. Because my time is all mine. I?m not selling any films, and because I?m not selling anything, I don?t have to give anybody anything. I?m not doing this anymore. I?m living my life.
On her 40s: ?You know, I think the 40s are the best decade. You just get to be real with yourself, and you can also make necessary changes because you have the experience of looking back on four decades. Looking at patterns and seeing what things really work. You get to let go of giving a sh-t about anything. You?re done! Don?t care. I really don?t. It?s such a relief. You also start to go through changes on a physical level and realize there?s nothing you can do about them. Then you get to look back at pictures and think, ?Oh my god, I hated myself at that moment, but look how young I was.? ? I know right now I?m the youngest I?ll ever be. I?m a 47-year-old woman who?s like, ?Hell, yeah!? I?m fine with it. I?m grateful for every moment I have.?
On her marriage: ?I just want to build better, stronger friendships with the people who are in it with me. Of course, that includes my husband [musician Benji Madden]. Getting married to him was the best thing that ever happened to me. My husband?s the best. He?s the greatest human being, and he?s my great partner. Marriage is certainly hard, and it?s a lot of work. You need somebody who?s willing to do the work with you, because there?s no 60-40 in marriage. It?s 50-50, period. All the time. I don?t know if I was ready [when I got married], but I knew Benji was special. He?s just a good man. There?s no bullsh-t. It?s really refreshing. I?m really grateful for him.?
What?s next: ?I like doing my own thing. I like creating, so I?m just looking for the project that makes the most sense for me now. I have some things brewing, but it?s a little too early to talk about them. I love everything that my girlfriends are doing, like what Gwyneth Paltrow has done with Goop and my sister-in-law Nicole Richie with her House of Harlow. Overall, I feel lucky that I got to be in the world and explore it when it was a different place. It was a real privilege.
[From InStyle]
I?ve wondered about her marriage to Benji Madden, just because they still, to this day, seem like such an odd couple. I wouldn?t say that Cameron?s picker was ?off,? but I would say that it just never seemed like she was interested in dating the traditional hot-guy actor. She seemed to like guys who were a bit offbeat, so maybe Benji fits with that. I guess I wondered if Benji wanted her to stay home and just be his wife and she agreed, or if SHE wanted to take time off. It sounds like everything about her life right now is her choice though, and honestly, good for her.

| Cameron Diaz believes in 'dressing your age,' won't wear tube tops | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Cameron Diaz has a new feature in Harper’s Bazaar which reads like an e-mail interview. She gives some decent quotes, so it’s worth covering. Cameron is still promoting her health and wellness book, The Longevity Book, and unlike her past interviews she sounds somewhat sensible here. She doesn’t make any grand pronouncements about health, aging, relationships or stress and she just speaks to her own experience. So when Cameron says she believes in dressing your age, she says it’s the age you feel not the age you are, which isn’t a bad way to look at it. She also gushes about her husband, Benji Madden, a little and calls marriage “awesome,” which she’s done before.
Do you believe in “dressing your age”?
I do, actually. But everybody’s age is different, and by that I mean that even when you’re a certain age, it’s all a matter of how you present yourself, how old your spirit is, and where you are in your life. Some 50-year-olds are still 35. It’s about expression and what they can pull off.
What’s something you refuse to wear at 43 (or ever)?
I’m definitely not doing tube tops. No way.
Who are some older women you most admire?
Gloria Steinem is one of the great feminist examples of a woman doing it her way. Jane Fonda has also always been somebody who puts herself out there in a very honest way. I appreciate that. We have so many great examples in Hollywood, from Meryl Streep to Helen Mirren. They walk such a fine line between giving everybody what they want and not sacrificing themselves for it.
What’s something new you’ve tried after 40 that you never thought you would?
I got married last year. That was the biggest thing I’ve done in my 40s, and it opened me up in different ways. It’s pretty awesome. I didn’t think it was something I’d do, and I don’t know if I’d have done it if I hadn’t met my husband [Benji Madden]. It was a surprise.
What is the biggest realization you’ve had about yourself after turning 40?
That as you get older, your body changes in so many little ways. It doesn’t react the same way that it used to. I don’t get the results that I used to as easily as I once did. Now I look at myself and I realize, “Oh, right. I’m in this time now in my life where I have to be thoughtful. If I slack off, things don’t come back so easily. I have to be committed.” In part that’s what my new book, The Longevity Book, is about. But just like everybody else, I’m more and less disciplined at various times based on what’s going on in my life.
Which trend has enjoyed too much longevity?
Social media is great for a lot of things but not as a substitute for actual human connection. We need more actual human contact with one another. And less screen time.
[From Harper's Bazaar]
If someone asked you for an item of clothing you would never wear, what would you say? I would say short shorts, because I have seen way too many women walking around with their ass cheeks hanging out. It doesn’t matter if you can bounce quarters off your butt, I don’t want to see that. That’s the first thing that comes to mind, but I just recently saw Khloe Kardashian in extremely see-through tights, which I never knew were a thing, so I can add tights to my “will never wear out without something over it” list.
As for her thoughts on social media, I agree that it would be nice to have more human contact and less screen time. Sometimes it seems like people are doing things just to document them digitally, and I worry about that. I worry about how our phones are changing us and how we relate to each other. (And making people drive like distracted idiots.) On the other hand technology has connected us and helped our children learn in ways that we couldn’t have imagined. I think the good far outweighs the bad.
