| Charlize Theron: 'I haven't dated anybody for over five years' (since Sean Penn) | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Charlize Theron is generally pretty blunt about how she doesn?t need a man at this point in her life. She?s been in long-term, marriage-like relationships (Stuart Townsend) and she?s been in Hollywood mega-star relationships (Sean Penn), so it?s not like she?s always been alone. She has been without a boyfriend/partner since Penn though. That ham-face really did some damage, and she?s never really been clear on what exactly happened. When you realize that the Ham was her last serious relationship and that was five years ago? yeah, it does make me a little bit sad for her. Charlize was a guest (via Zoom) on Drew Barrymore?s new talk show. They bonded over their single-parenthood and how they don?t need men in their lives at the moment:
Self-love central! Charlize Theron has been holding down her single status in the spotlight ? and doesn?t plan on changing it anytime soon.
?It is strange for people to, kind of, wrap their heads around it,? the Monster actress, 45, explained of her love life on Thursday, September 17, during an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show. ?I?ve been on a few dates but I haven?t dated anybody for over five years.?
?I mean, I?m open when friends of mine are like, ?You should go on a date? [or] ?You should meet this guy.? But I feel like I?m in a place in my life where you?ve gotta come with a lot of game. ? The kind of game that?s like, my life is really good so you better be able to bring that and maybe better. Because I just won?t accept anything less.?
Though she hasn?t settled down in the traditional sense, Theron expanded her family in her own way by adopting two children: Jackson in March 2012 and August in July 2015. Over the years, her ?adopted family? has become her central focus.
?I don?t long for that much,? the Bombshell star told host Drew Barrymore. ?I can honestly say this on my life: I don?t feel lonely. Once I had my children, it?s not that it replaces something or makes you less interested in [romance] ? It?s a lot of work to be a parent and part of that is at the end of the day, I get in bed and I go, ?Oh, my God, I wouldn?t want this day to be anything different.?
[From Us Weekly]
I think both things can be true: motherhood completely adjusted her priorities AND Sean Penn did a number on her. But I also think? yeah, I get her energy completely. She?s happy as can be, she?s doing good work, she has two healthy and happy kids and she?s got her mom with her full-time. Why would she at this point in her life need to placate some dude?s ego?

| Gwyneth Paltrow is now the (highly-paid) face of an injectables brand, Xeomin | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Is Gwyneth Paltrow?s ?brand? all about being ?natural?? I don?t think it is. Gwyneth?s brand, as a celebrity, is more like ?I?ll try anything once and if it works out, I?ll act like I invented it.? I bring this up because I?m sure Gwyneth is about to be accused of hypocrisy for promoting natural, organic stuff all while getting injectables full of chemicals. But historically, Gwyneth has never been opposed to people (like herself) getting little tweaks here and there. I?ve always believed that after Moses, she got some modest implants. She?s also admitted to getting Botox before and she?s often been seen with a strangely ?smooth? face. So? this feels more like an inevitability rather than hypocrisy. Gwyneth is the new frozen face of an injectable line.
Gwyneth Paltrows getting into injectables. While the Goop founder, 47, favors a clean, organic lifestyle, shes previously said shed be willing to try anything when it comes to anti-wrinkle treatments. When she discovered Xeomin ? a cosmetic injectable that smoothes fine lines using a uniquely purified formula that removes unnecessary proteins ? Paltrow knew it was a match made in heaven.
Finding highly purified and proven products is so important. That?s one of the many reasons I started using Xeomin a few years ago, Paltrow, who is partnering with Xeomin on her first-ever medical aesthetics campaign, said.
?For me, beauty is about deepening happiness versus trying to chase youth,? the beauty and wellness guru added. ?And it?s no secret that I?m an open book when it comes to trying new beauty regimens, but I want to know what?s in a product before putting anything into my body.
Paltrows campaign will emphasize the notion that women shouldnt be ashamed of taking time for self-care and allowing themselves to do treatments that make them feel great.
Like Gwyneth, more and more of my patients tell me they don?t want to look different ? they just want the outside to reflect how they feel on the inside. Xeomin, which is backed by science, helps give their frown lines a smoother appearance, said Dr. Julius Few, founder of The Few Institute for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, in a release.

It?s fine. I?m not mad about it. I get mad when celebrity women WAY overdo it. I get mad when celebrity women have obviously had a ton of work done then lie about it. Gwyneth is doing none of that even in the selfies and videos she posts on social media, you can tell that her face is not frozen and she?s mostly ageing like a normal 40-something woman of means. It used to be that actresses of all ages were all competing for lucrative beauty contracts. I wonder if this is the brave new world of sponsorship though celebrities endorsing particular lines of injectables.
I will also say this: Gwyneth doing an endorsement deal with an injectables line while simultaneously running a ?wellness? label does underline the point that ?wellness? is merely the new catch-all for ?bored rich women obsessively working on their interior and exterior.? It?s not about actually living clean or being legitimately healthy. (I also wonder if no skincare brand wanted a piece of Gwyneth.)

| Vogue: Duchess Kate defined herself in 2020 by hiring the Sussexes' social media guy | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

American Vogue is running a very curious feature called ?Kate Middleton?s Quiet Power: How the Queen-to-Be Defined Herself in 2020.? First of all, I hate it when we?re like ?let?s assess someone?s year!? and it?s only mid-September. Even in a normal, non-pandemic year, Kate would only *barely* begin thinking about being keen about various annual projects at this point in the year, just ahead of a ?flurry? of pre-Christmas events. So, clearly, I came into this article thinking that it would just be another vague embiggening fluff piece. And it is? but it?s also kind of shady too? Vogue summarizes Kate?s Hold Still photography project (while subtly pointing out that Kate didn?t even really do a ?launch? for it), they embiggen Kate?s Zoom calls, but then these sections happen:
That?s not to say nothing went wrong, publicity-wise, for the duchess during this period. In late March, Tatler published a story about the duchess, claiming, among many things, that she was ?furious? about her larger workload after Harry and Meghan?s departure. [editor's note: the Tatler piece was actually released in May.] Palace shot back at the publication: ?This story contains a swathe of inaccuracies and false misrepresentations which were not put to Kensington Palace prior to publication,? said a spokesperson?and it sought legal action. (In a statement, Tatler stood by its reporting.)
*****
It?s pertinent to mention that another under-the-radar, yet significant thing happened in April: The Cambridges hired Harry and Meghan?s old social media manager after the Sussexes left royal life. While other royal accounts were filled with routine stock images, @sussexroyal had been, well, interesting. There were candid iPhone pictures of Harry and Meghan holding hands, black and white shots, quote cards with aesthetically pleasing typefaces. One day they even posted an artsy picture of Archie?s foot next to some flowers. For a time, the Sussexes account was the fastest-growing on Instagram.
Sure enough, similar social media techniques cropped up on the Cambridge?s account, @kensingtonroyal. There?s William and Kate with their backs to the camera, Kate?s hand tenderly on William?s back. An iPhone picture of a pint of beer and some curry, to plug William?s appearance on That Peter Crouch Podcast. A screenshot of an email sent by the duchess, informally signed ?C.? Then there was the viral post that juxtaposed two pictures of Prince Louis: one, of him peacefully finger painting; the other, smearing said paint all over his face. They captioned it with an internet catchphrase: ?Instagram vs. reality.? The couple gained more than 8,400 followers on Twitter that day. Slowly but surely, the couple, and transitively, Kate, have been compounding an incredibly valuable currency: invested followers, the 2020 version of loyal subjects.
*****
Yet with polished reserve, Kate Middleton has trudged on in L.K. Bennett heels. ?Kate understands what she is expected to do,? says royal historian Sally Bedell Smith. ?She grasps that hers is a lifetime commitment.?
Bedell also points out that the duchess has figured out how to make the near-impossible possible: ?She also has a natural ability to blend accessibility and dignity with a royal mystique that shields her privacy?a tough line to navigate,? Smith says.
[From Vogue]
The royal mystique thing is interesting I?m reminded again of how little Kate actually has to do, and how her constant disappearing act and her blankness lends itself to magazines, tabloids and royal commentators projecting all of these queenly aspects to her character. She?s basically lazy and quiet, and by embiggening her so much, the world is telling little girls that should be their aim in life too: marry rich, be lazy and quiet and everyone will think you?re God?s gift. But yeah, Vogue was having a little bit of fun with it. They?re not wrong either the Cambridges? social media game has gotten a lot better since they hired the Sussexes? social media director. And yes, the Cambridges were copying the Sussexes. And the Tatler debacle was one of the biggest Cambridge stories of the year. Let?s see what happens in the last three months of the year though.

| Ana de Armas 'sometimes picks dumb and immature fights' with Ben Affleck | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

We haven?t seen any photos of Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas out together practically since the Washington Post ran that cute article calling them ?pandemic?s first tabloid celebrities.? They seem to have rejected that title, or someone on their PR teams told them to dial it down because they really did. We do get periodic updates about them in the celebrity-friendly press though, like US Weekly, which is running this article saying they?re practically living together in Ireland. Theyre there while Ben is working on a film with Matt Damon. I guess that explains why we havent seen them in so long. Its been a month since our main photo agency has had pictures of them. Oh and US says they do have problems, but they?re Ana?s fault because she picks petty fights. Nice.
?Ben and Ana basically live together and Ben is very into Ana and so sweet to her,? an insider tells Us Weekly exclusively. ?They are like any couple and sometimes she picks dumb and immature fights with him, but he doesn?t get flustered and they?re never about big issues [or] dealbreakers for either of them.?
Affleck, 48, and the Knives Out actress, 32, have been spending time in Ireland while he works on a new movie that he wrote with pal Matt Damon, The Last Duel, the source says. The couple?s getaway comes six months after Us confirmed that they were ?happy together and officially dating? after sparking relationship rumors on a romantic trip to Cuba in March.
[From US Magazine]
On one hand this story sounds like PR from Anas side theyre practically living together! but on the other its kind of rude to her by saying shes immature. Is this Ana being self deprecating and does that partially explain why shes so dickmatized? Oh I know Im so immature but he loves me anyway and puts up with me. Girl I know he is rich and good in bed but you can do better! The part about Ben being so stoic sounds like it comes straight from him though. No matter how neutral and normal his side tries to sound hes always showing his hand. Remember when we heard that Ana was helping Ben maintain his sobriety because she came into his life and has given him everything he wants and needs in a partner?
I have to give a shout out to my friend Rhiannon, who is almost over her crush on Ben thanks to Ben and Anas ridiculousness. Rhiannon has spoken about her love for Ben in our Zooms and you can hear her talk about Ben on podcasts number 54 and 59!
Anna is starring in a new ad for Only Natural diamonds. Outlets are saying this guy in the commercial is a Ben Affleck lookalike, which seems to be true. Also theyre only showing glimpses of him so our minds can fill in the blanks. If this was really Ben her diamonds would be a lot bigger though. Once theyre together a couple of years hell start giving her giant pieces when he needs forgiveness.
