Adding to the pool of sexually-charged drama, Brian De Palma has unveiled the teaser trailer for his forthcoming film ?Passion.?
Starring Rachel McAdams, Noomi Rapace, Paul Anderson and Karoline Herfurth, the movie is about a young businesswoman who plots murderous revenge after her boss and mentor steals her idea.
Per the synopsis, ?The offices of a prominent multinational corporation is the setting for this story of a power struggle between two contemporary women. Isabelle has unlimited admiration for her direct superior, Christine, a woman well-schooled in the ways of power. Christine enjoys holding sway over Isabelle, leads her one step at a time and ever more deeply into a game of seduction and manipulation, of dominance and servitude. The game is played for keeps, and there is no turning back.
While no release date has been announced just yet, ?Passion? is scheduled to make the rounds at both the Toronto Film Festival and Venice Film Festival this fall.

The ?King Kong? cutie wore an all-black ensemble along with a pair of sunglasses as she filmed scenes at an outdoor location in the center of town.
And it sounds like Naomi will be getting plenty of bling to wear while she depicts the beloved late Princess of England.
The producers of ?Diana? have announced that Swiss luxury brand Chopard will be the exclusive watch and jewelry partner for the entire production.

She?s always a joy to have around, and Kristen Bell paid a visit to ?Late Night with Jimmy Fallon? last night (August 22).
The ?Veronica Mars? vixen looked fabulous as always, and chatted with Fallon about her new flick ?Hit and Run,? which just so happened to be the brainchild of her longtime love Dax Shepard.
Kristen noted that they made the movie for less than $2 million and all of a sudden every studio wanted it. ?It has been a crazy weird whirlwind and I think that Dax really wanted to stick to his guns. He wanted to make something that we would think is funny. Because so often people are making movies and they?re kind of guessing, ?What do we think everyone will think is funny, and let?s broaden it.??
?And he was like, ?No, I want to make a movie that I want to see and it?s going to be weird and it?s kind of like Smokey and the Bandit meets Pulp Fiction meets a beautiful indie love story.? And he was really sincere about sticking to his guns and luckily people liked it.?
Of course, Kristen also ended up engaging in some tom foolery with Fallon in the form of a skeeball game.

I was so surprised that so many people wanted to talk about Eva Mendes and her beautiful, giant puppy earlier this week. I wrote that post thinking no one would care. So? you probably won?t care about this one, right? Too bad! I like talking about Eva Mendes. She stepped out again yesterday for a spot of shopping. She was seen all around West Hollywood, running errands and going into a vintage clothing store. Fortunately, she did not bring her unleashed, giant dog with her.
We can debate whether or not Eva Mendes actually likes to be pap?d on a nearly daily basis, or whether the paparazzi just find her and follow her around all day ? I suspect it?s both. She enjoys it, she enjoys her newfound ?celebrity? as Ryan Gosling?s girlfriend, and she puts on little fashion shows on a daily basis, encouraging us to talk about her. I think she also gets followed by the paparazzi against her will too.
So, what of her fashion? Eva Mendes tends to dress ?pregnant? right? I?ve made the mistake of doing Bump Watch on her before, but it?s not entirely my fault ? she likes loose-fitting, phantom-bump-creating clothes. This dress is another Classic Mendes ? the kind of dress only a woman with a superior figure (like Eva) could even come close to pulling off. She doesn?t look pregnant from the profile? but I?m not completely ruling out an ?unplanned pregnancy? in the future. Even if Ryan Gosling believes in marriage before babies.

For the past few years, Katie Holmes has functioned as 50% of Holmes & Yang, the fashion line that she runs with her stylist, Jeanne Yang. Back in 2010 when the first collection was about to launch, Katie described the clothes as a simple yet luxurious line of basics that were created with Lauren Bacall in mind. While the line has been considered a financial success by Barneys, I’ve included some examples that Katie herself has worn on various red carpets. For the most part, the Holmes & Yang line has proven itself to be generally busted and unflattering, and in particular, the above dress makes Katie look hippy (when she isn’t).
Oddly enough though, Katie plans on ramping up her career in the line in the wake of her divorce from Tom Cruise, and part of this strategy involves showing the latest Holmes & Yang collection at NYC Fashion Week. Page Six also made a huge deal about how Katie will rival former pal Victoria Beckham by showing her collection on the same day. At first, I wondered why this would be a big deal (other than the press loving a good catfight), but maybe Katie wants to send a giant “fug you” message to Tom since he tried to make “Kate” and Victoria be best friends years ago. Who knows? Now we’re hearing that Katie has doubled down on her challenge by arranging to present the new line at Lincoln Center (while Posh will be at the NYC Library), which will be a very high-profile showing indeed:
Katie Holmes is taking the giant step of showing her latest collection for her fashion label Holmes & Yang at Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week, Page Six can exclusively reveal. Sources said Holmes, who founded the line with her stylist Jeanne Yang, will show at the tents — the first time the duo will present their collection during Fashion Week. Tom Cruise’s ex-wife will be there near the end of the week to present the line, currently sold at Barneys. A source told us, “This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of the media scrutiny. They could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business.” Holmes is refocusing on her career post-divorce — starring in a play in November and two movies next year. Meanwhile, she?s still making time for daughter Suri. Friday night, Katie and Suri stopped by Artichoke Basille’s Pizza on East 14th Street. After ordering a margherita pie, an artichoke pie and some salad, little Suri ordered three fried Oreos for dessert. A source told us cute Suri ate two of the cookies and gave the third to an unidentified woman sitting next to her who accepted and ate it.

Wait a second, I’m distracted by Suri’s dessert choice — fried Oreos — which immediately brings to mind pregnant Jessica Simpson and certainly isn’t the healthiest food option out there. At least Suri gave one away, which is kind of sweet, really.
Back to Katie’s fashion career though — does anyone else think that maybe the maligned fug booties might just be a ruse? As in, nobody thought Katie possessed the spine to actually leave Tom Cruise (let alone in the spectacular manner that she pulled off), so maybe she’s been holding her cards close to her chest with this latest Holmes & Yang line too. I’m currently reminded of Tom’s recent Playboy interview (to promote Rock of Ages), in which he discussed all the things that Katie did and then mentioned “she wanted to try designing clothes” like it was yet another example of something he “let” her do. That quote rubbed me the wrong way at the time, and maybe Katie felt the same way. Maybe she’ll surprise us all by really bringing it at NYC Fashion Week, you know? Then again, maybe not.

Reese Witherspoon was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday night with unknown complications from her pregnancy. Reports have Reese going to the hospital Tuesday night, coming back home and then being rushed to the hospital again Wednesday, where she remains now. Reese is due in September, and Radar quotes a source who says that “At this point it looks like she might have the baby. Reese and Jim are a little worried about having the baby so early, but it’s close enough to her due date that they’re confident the baby will be just fine.” That was reassuring, but in a follow-up story they quote a source that makes it sound more serious: “Doctors have sedated Reese and they’re keen on keeping her from going into an early labor so the baby’s development will go to full term.” Reese’s husband Jim is said to be very worried, but Reese is a trooper and is “trying to keep him calm.” That’s so funny to me, I’m not trying to make light of the situation but my husband was in a similar state when I went into labor. Radar’s source has Reese remaining in the hospital for some time.
All of these stories make me worry a little for Reese and her baby, but E! has a source probably on Reese’s team who says that “everything is fine.” Phew:
Everything is fine and there’s nothing to report, a source assured E! News in response to, well, a report that the Oscar winner was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital last night and again today because she was experiencing complications.
“The visit is a normal thing for a lot of pregnant women and there is no drama,” the insider added. “All parties involved are healthy and fine.” Reese was also photographed out yesterday going to lunch before she went to the hospital.
Sure enough, Witherspoon looked picture-perfect yesterday at the Brentwood restaurant Tavern. The New Orleans native was the quintessential California girl, sporting shades and a form-hugging black wrap dress that showed off her tan lines.
Her third child?and first with agent hubby Jim Toth?is due early next month. So, while the little Totherspoon could arrive any day…
There’s no cause for alarm in the meantime.

I don’t really get the denial. So Reese is fine and her hospital visit was routine, but is she still in the hospital now? It’s understandable that her rep doesn’t want to reveal those details, but I tend to believe Radar’s story that she’s still in the hospital being monitored. Whatever is going on, I hope that Reese and her baby are happy and healthy. I’m excited for her and hope it all goes smoothly!

I know, I know. You really wanted to start your Thursday with some Nicole Kidman biscuits. Such is life! Nicole is promoting her cray, urinating-on-Zac-Efron performance in The Paperboy, so she seems to have done a photo shoot ?in character? as her trashy, sexy character. I guess. Either that, or this is the New Nicole. The cover of V Mag ? which I cropped, I apologize ? features Nicole?s butt crack. And in one of the inside photos, you can see her nips. In all of the other photos, we?re being gifted with crotch shots and cleavage. To which I say? sure. Why not? I?m honestly pleased that I?m not looking at yet another Nicole Kidman photo shoot in which she wears immaculate, icy gowns and stares icily at the camera in an austere drawing room. I?m happy that she?s mixing it up.
Another great thing about this shoot? It?s nice to be reminded that Nicole can still do the sexpot thing. She didn?t do the sexpot thing enough when she was younger, and while I do think there?s a ?mutton dressed as lamb? thing going on here, it kind of works. Nicole is genuinely beautiful, and she genuinely has an incredible body. But with the good comes the bad ? I?m now convinced that Nicole has totally got bolt-ons. And her face is like f?king marble at this point. Anyway, here are some highlights from the V Mag interview:
Nicole goes with the flow: ?I don?t really make decisions. I go with the flow. If I were a strategically minded person, I think I would have a far different career. But I would be more outlandish if I could. A lot of times you just don?t get the chance.?
Peeing on Zac Efron: ?The peeing thing, I didn?t think was that weird, because I was in character? That was for the jellyfish. And for me it said so much about Charlotte. One, she?s protecting him. Two, she?s tough as nails and no one else is going to pee on this guy. All of that made total sense to me. I just went for it and didn?t overthink it.?
Being a kid who never got to play in the sun, so she would pour through Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Flaubert: ?At the time I thought it was the cruelest thing, and now I know it was the greatest gift,? she says. ?I probably had a strong sexuality as a child, so that informs all that yearning and wanting things, and the hormones that are running through you at a really early age?they all started to surge because of the things I was reading.?
Working on her Oscar-winning role in The Hours: ?If you?re being completely drained in your personal life and you?re never being nourished there, it?s very hard to make it work,? she says. ?But sometimes, if you meet the right person who will mine it, and you?re open to being mined, it can really work. Stephen was able to mine me. I was crazy in love with him, and so I was like, I?ll do whatever, because I love you. I gave him every part of me that I could give him.?
Parenthood and romance with Keith: ?I rented this beautiful house on the beach. I thought, We?ll go and swim in the ocean and just get lost in each other. So we go down, just us, and I?m like, ?We really should bring the kids.? And then the kids come down and the whole dynamic changes. Another time, we got one night, and then we were both in tears. It was ridiculous. But time is so precious and I love the sound of them and the feel of them. I just don?t want to miss anything, and I don?t want them to go ?Where?s my mom?? So I?m working through that.?
She?ll be working on Lars Von Trier again, and she defends him: ?He?s going to do another thing that is going to shock the world,? she says with a laugh. ?Charlotte Gainsbourg is doing the lead, but Lars sent me the piece and said, ?I wrote a part for you.? He?s done that before and I?ve gone, ?No you didn?t, Lars, and I?m not playing it.? But this time I really liked the character, and I like Lars. I think he has made some terrible, terrible statements and mistakes, but I don?t think he really meant what he said. If he did, then I would not be friends with him. You know, he does strange stuff. He tried to get me to come out in a dog collar. And sometimes you just say, ?Shut up, Lars,? ?Put your clothes on, Lars,? I swear, you do say that to him. But there?s different philosophers in the world, and some of them are going to be extreme and controversial and some of them aren?t. And we need both.?

First, a word about The Hours ? I was re-watching it recently, and I didn?t love the same parts of that film as when I watched it originally years ago. When I first saw it, I really did love Nicole?s portrayal of Virginia Woolf? and yes, I still think her performance holds up. But really, Meryl Streep gives the best performance in the film. She holds it all together, she grounds the stories so magnificently. It?s a shame that Meryl didn?t win another Oscar for that role.
Also ? the author of the V Mag piece mentions in passing that the topic of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is ?completely off-limits for Kidman?. Which doesn?t really go with her ?I go with the flow? statement, you know?

Why does she get a month of celebrations again? Is it because she?s turning 30? Ugh. I HATE HATE HATE that she?s a Virgo too. She gives Virgos (like me) a bad name. LeAnn is the dark side of the Virgo sign ? for the most part, we?re extremely logical and anal retentive, but some people in our sign veer off into full-blown CRAY. Q. Tell us what you?ll be doing at The Salk.
A. I know I?m going to be performing with a symphony, which is something I love and don?t get to do very often. I like doing these more intimate shows because I always feel like I?m sitting in my living room, hanging out with friends. I?m sure it?s going to be a beautiful night.
Q. You?ve been performing for more than half of your life, how do you attribute your longevity as a singer?
A. It?s always been an up-and-down ride, like a roller coaster. But recently, I?ve been growing as a writer and a producer, and that keeps things interesting. I feel like as I get older and go through ups and downs in my personal life, I don?t need to explain myself so much anymore, it just naturally comes out through my music.
Q. All those recent magazine pictures of you and your family at the beach, is that here in San Diego?
A. No, we?ve been around Newport on a family reunion. It?s the first time we?ve all been together in a long time. It took 30 years to get here, but we?re here and it?s so nice.
Q. You dealt with your own scandal when you got divorced and married Eddie (Cibrian). How did you survive your personal life on display?
A. People get sick of it eventually. Now they?re waiting for us to get pregnant and the magazines write all these stories about us that aren?t true. But it?s just part of what I do. I didn?t have to deal with it when I was younger because this whole reality television/tabloid world wasn?t so big then. People are always going to talk and say what they want and they can have at it. My husband, my family and I, we have our own truth and that?s the one that matters.
Q. You?re turning 30 soon, how are you feeling about it?
A. I?m excited, it?s something that?s going to be a whole new beginning, a whole new chapter. I?m working on a new album and it?s a labor of love, I?m so happy with it.

A. I don?t think people have ever seen me this honest. I?m excited for everyone to hear my truth about the way I see things and the way I live my life. I think you?ll understand a lot more about me after you listen.

This will be kind of a depressing story for those of us who delighted to see Kristen Davis and Aaron Sorkin’s red-carpet debut as a couple last month at the premiere of HBO’s “The Newsroom.” They were all over each other with the smooching, the grabbing, and the rubbing. Basically, it was a very unexpected PDA fest, and they seemed like quite the happy new couple — she a gorgeous, underrated actress and he a very intelligent, nerdy-attractive producer (despite whatever sunburn or poorly coordinated fake bake was going on with him at the time). They seemed like a good match, really, but now In Touch reports that it’s all over now. Kristen and Aaron have already broken up and gone their separate ways!
In Touch has exclusively learned that new couple Kristin Davis and Aaron Sorkin have called it quits.
“They’re very different people,” a close friend of the pair tells In Touch. “She’s focused on raising her daughter, Gemma, and he’s working on his show.”
The split comes just two months after the Sex and the City star and Oscar-winning screenwriter showed up as a couple for the premiere of his new HBO series, The Newsroom.
Despite the short-lived romance, the source assures there are no bad feelings. “They’ll definitely remain friends.”

Earlier this month, the former Disney Channel star announced on Twitter that she would be returning to television. She tweeted on August 13th, " Ok it's official! Very excited about my development deal with 20th century fox!! t.v. here I come! :)."
A rep for 20th Century Fox confirmed, telling Entertainment Weekly that the 24-year-old signed a one-year deal to develop a half-hour sitcom that she will produce and star in. If the show doesn't catch on, the company can also cast her in another sitcom or drama pilot.

As GossipCenter.com previously reported, the 34-year-old mom recently reached an agreement with Lionsgate for her role in the final two seasons of the hit series.
Deadline.com reports that Miss Jones and supporting castmates Elizabeth Moss and Vincent Kartheiser will receive bumps "well into six figures per episode."
Production begins for the sixth season of the AMC hit in October 2012.
