| Victoria Beckham designed a line for Target; will you pay or pass? | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Victoria Beckham has designed a capsule collection for Target that will be available Spring 2017. If you know anything about me, you know that I swear a lot more when I think my mother isn?t reading, I love shopping at Target and that Vicky B is my fanciful best friend. In addition to being my FBF, I covet her clothing line but can?t afford it. So not writing that first sentence in ALL CAPS with indiscriminate exclamation points was a real exercise in self-control. The line will be priced from $6 – $70 with most things priced under $40 and will be available in size XS through 3XL. And – she’s designed a coordinating girls line, sized NB-XL to accompany it! Of course, with all Target designer collaborations, there is only a small window to grab a little piece of Vicky for yourself. Her line will be in stores and online from April 9 ? 30, 2017. I’m sure, like their other capsule collections, this will sell out before the doors open, too. So why is Vicks doing this – other than to make my dreams come true, that is? Because she really does want to be accessible to everyone. *squee!*
Copying Victoria Beckham’s style is about to become easier?and more affordable.
“For a while now, I have been thinking how great it would be to work on clothes for a customer that either doesn’t want to pay or can’t pay designer prices,” the 42-year-old fashion designer said in an interview with Target.com. “I loved the idea of opening the brand up to a wider audience and being able to share my vision with a broader customer base. So when Target?a company based on accessibility and inclusiveness?proposed a collaboration which combined all of these things, it was an easy decision to make.”
“I have always said that the best way for me to learn about new areas is to work with an expert in that field,” she adds. “In order to do something well, you need to surround yourself with the right people, and the Target team members have been the right people for me. It has been such a pleasure working with their team. What they have provided me with is a really unique opportunity to connect with families across the U.S. I’m so excited for the months ahead, and for everyone to see a collection that I am really proud of.”
“From the outset of my brand, I have always designed clothes that I want to wear, and that’s exactly what I have done here,” says Victoria, who launched her namesake label in 2008. “But this time there are also clothes that my daughter [Harper Beckham] would love to wear, too!”
[From E! News]
Target had a very successful relationship with Isaac Mizrahi that lasted from 2002 ? 2008. This gave birth to a high-end designer collaboration each season since 2006. Others who have gone before Vicks are: Rodarte, Jason Wu, Lilly Pulitzer, Marimekko, Missoni, Phillip Lim, Prabal Gurung, Jean Paul Gaultier and Zac Posen. And now Victoria Beckham? at Target – *sigh* I just can?t write that enough.
Victoria?s Target line will follow the look of her Victoria, Victoria Beckham line. I prefer her Ready-to-Wear line but there are some looks in her VVB line that I really like. This is the first time she?s designed children?s clothes but says she’s wanted to get into that area for a while. This is a great way to do it, see what sells and what doesn?t before you make a $500 velvet toddler jumper for the horsey set. Gah, I can?t wait to tell my Female Progeny she and I get to wear matching outfits from Aunty Vicky! Now, if you will excuse me, I have to give CB my time-off request for the month of April and practice my ?That?s MY Mandarin-Collared, Silk Tuxedo Blouse, You Rancid Witch!? karate chop.

| Rachel McAdams: Cumberbatch wishes his bitches would respect themselves | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

The Doctor Strange promotional tour has officially started up! I’m so happy. So far, Benedict Cumberbatch has covered Vanity Fair and British GQ and he and Tilda Swinton have already made a promotional swing through Asia. The cast assembled in LA this week for some work and for last night’s LA premiere, which is where Benedict’s wife Sophie debuted her baby bump. The Cumberbump sort of distracted from the other ladies at the premiere, so let’s rectify that situation – I’m including photos of Rachel McAdams (she plays Doctor Strange’s love interest/Night Nurse) and Tilda Swinton (who plays The Ancient One). Rachel wore custom Versace and Tilda wore Haider Ackermann, her favorite label. I love Rachel’s dress, even though I’m a little bit tired of her in muted colors. The purple pop in this Versace is great though.
Rachel was on The Ellen Show this week to chat about the film, and she told a story about Benedict.
Of course Ellen brings up the Cumberbitches, and Rachel does her best posh otter accent and says, ?He said, ?Oh, it?s very flattering, but I just wish they called themselves something more respectable, like Cumberhumans or Cumberpeople.?? Which is funny enough on its own ? Cumberbitches are like ?I LOVE YOU, LET ME HAVE YOUR OTTERBABIES? and Benedict is like ?Please respect yourself.? But it?s even funnier because Ellen points out that the whole reason that the Cumberbitch name stuck was because it has to sonically match ?batch.? Then Ellen says, ?He?s not that bright.? Thank you, Ellen.
And in case you wanted to barely listen to Benedict and Tilda joke with each other while playing Jenga, here you go. I will say this: his hair looks better here.

| Hilary Duff can't do her own laundry: 'I kinda just put it all in at once' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Hilary Duff is just 29 years old, which surprises me. That’s not to say she looks older than that, it’s just that she’s been around for so long (and we see her practically every day) that it seems like she must be older. Plus she has a son and is divorced already, no shade that’s just a detail about her, so I assumed she was mid 30s.
Duff is currently dating her personal trainer, Rise Nation’s Jason Walsh, and US has a new story about how they’re talking about moving in together. A source gets oddly specific about the amount of time they spend together and the fact that Jason has a drawer at Hilary’s house. Apparently they were bicoastal together. “[In NY] She would see him four to five nights per week and he had a drawer at her place. [In LA] they?re talking about him moving in with her.? I would say she should play it closer to her chest, but they’re loved up on Instagram, they’re getting papped together and he’s making sure to be in NY when she’s filming so it’s probably serious.
People has an interview with Duff promoting her role as a spokesperson for Visine. They ask her about her style tips and she admits she can’t do laundry and often ruins her outfits.
What?s something we don?t know about your style?
I?m really bad at laundry actually. I mean, I make sure I don?t put in anything that needs to go to the dry cleaners in there, but yeah, I kinda just put it all in at once. And then I end up ruining things. But when I?m looking at it I?m like that?s not gonna do anything to that and then I?m like, ?No! How did this happen?? But I can do dishes all day long.
Are you a big online shopper?
I used to be [a] strictly online [shopper] ?cause I live in L.A. and shopping at a boutique is like the worst. I don?t want to drive somewhere and then be there for like an hour or an hour and a half. It?s just the worst. I rather it [be] online at night, get on, have it delivered to my house like Christmas. It?s so much more exciting.
But being a New Yorker, I feel like I spend so much more money. I was walking down the street this weekend and I walked by Intermix and I literally was like, don?t look, don?t look, don?t look.
[From People]
I’ve never lived in LA or the West Coast so I don’t know about boutique shopping being a pain but when I lived in Connecticut, near New York City, I used to get in so much trouble at Lord and Taylor. I loved it at Lord and Taylor. Now I do thrift shopping and get some amazing finds and I love online shopping, particularly the daily sales sites like RueLala.
In terms of what she’s saying about doing her own laundry, how can someone who is 29 years old not be able to do laundry without ruining clothes? It’s really simple, you separate the darks and light colors and wash the dark colors in cold water. I’ve been doing my own laundry since I was a kid though and I suspect Duff only does it when her domestic assistant is off for the day. Plus she mostly wears jeans and casual clothes, judging from the vast archive of her daily looks available online. You just wash those on cold, it’s not difficult.
The jeans Hilary are wearing cost $328, according to The Daily Mail. She probably got them comped but still, they need to be washed on cold if she wants to preserve their exact level of distress.

| Is Cate Blanchett's husband Andrew Upton fooling around with a 27-year-old' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Cate Blanchett met Andrew Upton back in the 1990s. She always said that they had an instant connection, and she knew within a few weeks of knowing him that they would get married. They did get married and they are now the parents of four children: Dashiell John, Roman Robert, Ignatius Martin and their youngest, a daughter named Edith Vivian Patricia (they adopted Edith in 2015). I always thought Cate and Andrew?s marriage was totally solid. They never seemed to have any drama, and they worked together constantly, especially when they took over the Sydney Theatre Company for several years.
Last year, they moved to America on what seemed like a temporary basis. I suspected that Cate wanted to work more in film for a few years. They still keep a home in Sydney, and it seems that Andrew has been spending time at the Sydney home while Cate and the children are in America. And more than a week ago, a paparazzo got some photos of Andrew looking especially cozy with a young actress:

| Hilary Swank was offered 1/20th of male costar's salary after two Oscars | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Hilary Swank may be out of touch as to what the Everywoman is looking for in an athletic line but she’s solidly earned her place in Hollywood. However, because it?s Hollywood, that just doesn?t matter because as a woman she’s of reduced value to the studios. Appearing on Chelsea Handler?s Netflix show with Ava DuVernay, Connie Britton and Miss USA Deshauna Barber, Hilary gave an appalling example of just how tremendous the disparity between men and women salaries in Hollywood is.
?When I did ?Boys Don?t Cry,? I was 24 years old. I made $3,000,? Swank, 42, explained to Chelsea Handler on her Netflix show, ?Chelsea.? ?In order to have health insurance, you have to make $5,000, so I didn?t even know that I didn?t have health insurance until I went and tried to get a prescription filled. They said, ?That?s $160.? ? I had an Academy Award [and] no health insurance.?
She continued, ?Then I win my second Academy Award, and the next couple movies later, I get offered a movie but the male [lead] hadn?t had any kind of critical success, but had been in a movie where he was hot,? she said. ?He got offered $10 million and I got offered $500,000.?
?I said no, and they went and found a newcomer who did it for $50,000,? she said. ?They made a savings of $450,000, probably to give the guy his bonuses.?
[From Page Six]
Jaysus H. Christmas ? how in demand was this dude to deserve twenty times more cash than a two-time Academy-Award winner? Only Cary Grant could fit that bill. There is so much wrong with this. Hilary won her second Oscar for Million Dollar Baby in 2005 ? that?s only 11 years ago. And then to offer the next actress only $50K? That?s criminal. Boys Don?t Cry had a $2 million budget. Whereas you would think they could have coughed up the additional $2K to get Hilary her health insurance, maybe things were that tight. Maybe they just had to work with what they could. Maybe, but I doubt it. They were likely just preying on a poor actress who was trying to make the leap from television to movies.
You can watch the clip with Hillary?s story here. I?m not embedding it because I can?t with Handler. After Ava had to correct her about David Oyelowo not being in The Martian, saying that was ?the other British black dude,? Handler doesn?t even have the decency to be mortified. Then, following Hilary demonstrating how terribly women in the industry are taken advantage of – on her show on gender inequality – Handler said she employs ten male writers and two women and she would never hire a woman just because she was a woman. Ava, who intentionally hired all women directors for her Queen Sugar show because these exceptionally talented women weren?t being allowed to break into TV directing, pointed out, ?No one wanted to be the first person to give them a chance… At some point you gotta let a woman give it a try.? After Connie Britton called Handler a feminist role model, I finally just took to my bed with a damp cloth over my eyes.
