In today?s edition of ?Celebrities Are Just Like Us,? we have Kristen Stewart! It turns out that K-Stew is a huge fan of Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie?s Barbie. She?s such a big fan that she?s even labeled herself ?obsessed? and a ?super-duper fan.? I love that so much! During an interview on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, which was recorded the day after the Oscar ceremony, Kristen got even more relatable when she talked about watching ?I?m Just Ken? from her couch at home. Just like most of us, she laughed and cried, thinking about the magnitude of Greta?s creation.
She loved this year?s Oscars: Oscars were incredible last night, said Stewart, who earned a Best Actress nomination in 2022 for Spencer. Best theyve been in years, I feel. Dont you think it was just a good show?
She got so emotional, baby: I was, for some reason, crying and laughing while watching the Ken thing. Its emotional, dude, watching Greta watch it. When they did the one cutaway of her and she was just, like, front-row belting and looking at the thing she helped kickstart.
Barbie?s biggest fan?: Stewart said shes obsessed with and a super-duper fan of Barbie, which starred Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Kate McKinnon and more. The actress said, though, she did not have Barbie dolls growing up, instead opting for the Weird Barbie-type toys.
Is Marvel in her future?: Elsewhere in the podcast interview, Stewart addressed whether she would star in a Marvel superhero movie. The Twilight alum said shes a yes man and wouldnt say no, though the idea seems unlikely to her. It sounds like a fing nightmare, actually, Stewart said with a laugh.
Her thoughts on blockbuster superhero movies: I like big movies because I like people to watch them when Im in them. The system would have to change. What ends up happening is this algorithmic, weird experience where you cant feel personal at all about it.
She?d do it for Greta: But maybe the world changes, said Stewart, adding, If Greta Gerwig asked me to do a Marvel movie, then I would do it.
[From People]
I wonder if Kristen also re-watches ?Im Just Ken? on YouTube like us normies do, haha. I don?t watch it daily anymore but since it?s right at the top of my search history, I click on it every couple of days because it really does make me smile. I watched Barbie with my kids last week, too. They asked a lot of good questions about it and now my older son sings ?I?m Just Ken? and ?What Was I Made For?? all of the time, lol.
Anyway, It doesn?t surprise me at all that Kristen had a Weird Barbie growing up. I?d honestly be disappointed if she didn?t. I also love that she stans Greta so hard, too. Can you imagine a collaboration between the two of them? It would have to be more of an independent, artsy-type film, right? I also suspect that Greta is high on many peoples list of directors to work with now. A lot of people, myself included, are going to be watching to see what she does next.

Kristen Stewart was in Germany for the Berlinale (Berlin Film Festival) over the weekend. She?s promoting Love Lies Bleeding, and she wore Chanel to the premiere (and I think that?s a Chanel outfit at the photocall too). I?m fine with all of this except her hair her hair is getting worse and worse every time I see her. In general though, the premiere look was very buttoned-up for Kristen, especially given that she recently covered Rolling Stone in a jock strap. The RS cover was ?risque,? according to the Hollywood Reporter, although I must have missed the outrage about it. Were people actually in their feelings about it? Anyway, Kristen talked about the RS cover and more during her Berlinale press conference:
Kristen Stewart has defended her risque? photo shoot for the March Rolling Stone magazine cover that went viral and divided audiences on social media platforms.
?The existence of a female body thrusting any type of sexuality at you that?s not designed for exclusively straight males is something people are not super comfy with and so I?m really happy with it,? Stewart told a press conference on Sunday at the Berlin Film Festival for her latest movie, Love Lies Bleeding.
Stewart, who is bisexual, said she enjoyed breaking with traditional stereotypes about what it means to be feminine. ?It?s okay to take different pictures and mix them up in a way that people aren?t used to and want to go and that?s okay, too,? she added. Stewart insisted the androgynous images taken by Collier Schorr for Rolling Stone should not be that big of a deal. ?In fact, it?s pervasive and it?s everywhere and it?s being denied and it?s crazy that there aren?t

Here are some photos from the past two days of the Cannes Film Festival. I actually totally missed Kristen Stewart?s Monday night Chanel look, so I?m including that in this post. Obviously, K-Stew only packed Chanel clothes for her Cannes appearances. She?s a brand ambassador and, as I?ve stated dozens of times now, the collaboration doesn?t work on either side. Her Monday night look was that fking diaper dress with a cropped sequined top. God-awful. On Tuesday night, she got Chanel trousers and a buttoned tube top. I?ll say one nice thing: I like the cut of the trousers.
Jake Gyllenhaal and his girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu made an appearance on Tuesday. Jeanne wore Loewe. It took me way too long to realize that the top part of the dress is supposed to look like puckered lips. It?s SO bad. The shoes are awful too. She?s trying too hard. So is Jake.
Lea Seydoux in bespoke Louis Vuitton. I feel like it?s an invasion of body snatchers over here, because this is like the eighth LV dress I?ve seen in the past week where I?m like ?wow, that?s actually a good look.?
Berenice Bejo in Alexis Mabille. A glorious mess. It?s so bad, it?s actually really fun.
Deepika Padukone in Ashi Studio Couture. Oh, honey. I have similar coloring and I would not be caught dead in this shade of pumpkin spice. It?s not that the color looks flat-out bad on her, but just? why? Why would you wear that when you could wear red or green or literally any other color which would be a million times more flattering? The sculptural element of the gown is alright.

Here are some photos from the Cannes photocall for Crimes of the Future, David Cronenberg?s latest futuristic/body-horror film. Crimes of the Future stars Kristen Stewart, Lea Seydoux and Viggo Mortensen, and they all came out for Cannes. Kristen has become a real fixture at Cannes in recent years and I get the feeling that she enjoys this part of film promotion. Plus, it?s not like she has to worry too much about what to wear. Chanel just sends her terrible sh-t and she wears it. I am so ready for this brand-ambassadorship to be over. K-Stew and Chanel never fit together. This suit is so dumb!
Anyway, ahead of the Cannes premiere, Kristen chatted with Women?s Wear Daily about Cronenberg, her engagement and her style. Some highlights:
Working on Crimes of the Future: ?People associate David with body horror, and sort of a critical eye on the world that we live in. But what is always present is desire and sensuality, there?s always a reason why he?s stepping toward fear. In this movie, it just feels like a testament to his entire life. He?s given so much in every film he?s ever made.?
She doesn?t have some big career plan: ?You step toward something because it intrigues you, there must be an intellectual reason why, but you never really know how to articulate that until you?ve made the film. It?s just having that question mark inside of your body going, ?Oh, that wants to come out.??
She?s gotten more comfortable in the public eye: ?I think it?s an evolution. It?s kind of nice to be uncomfortable in public because it really forces you to be confrontational with your most inner self, and you?re not allowed to ignore who you are. It?s sort of like you shine a light on something and so you really have to stare at it. I?ve gotten comfortable with being uncomfortable. You just sort of have to find a way to exist in any space. I probably would never have done [that] if I wasn?t an actor, I would always just sort of default and settle. It?s nice to sort of always be like, ?stay on your tippy toes, lean in, like try to reach for the stars.? I know that sounds totally clich, but if you?re not forced to, or if you?re not encouraged to and supported throughout, you won?t.?
Her ?brave? fashion: ?I would feel worse not doing it. I would feel more scared being tamed.?
Her ambassadorship with Chanel: ?I?ve been allowed to excavate my own story within Chanel?s continuous stories,? she said, noting there are several awards shows a year with different looks and themes and she looks for pieces, not trends. ?The reality outside of a narrative is interesting, because when I watch a show it seems like a movie. Anytime I ever feel curious about a certain look or averse to a certain look, they always encourage me to just take my own path. I never feel dressed by another person. I never feel like I?m selling a product. I always feel encouraged to like, you know, find myself,? she said of her relationship with the house.
[From WWD]
I don?t find Kristen?s style to be brave at all? That?s fine, every person doesn?t have to be some brave, avant-garde fashionista. Sometimes you can just like pretty things and want to wear flattering clothes. To me, the problem with Kristen?s work with Chanel is that the house is too safe, too boring, too stuffy for her. She needs thrift store, vintage Balenciaga and the latest punk streetwear. By wearing Chanel on every red carpet, it?s like she?s trying to bring a punk edge to the staid, rich-bitch-at-lunch Chanel energy and it just falls flat.

| Kristen Stewart truly turned up at the Oscars with greasy hair & booty shorts | Added 968 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Before Will Smith smacked Chris Rock, I thought one of the big stories of the Oscars would be the fact that one of the Best Actress nominees turned up in satin booty shorts and greasy hair. Sigh. Kristen Stewart, a long-time face of Chanel, wore Chanel to the Oscars. We were all expecting her to wear Chanel. We just thought it would be some hideous dress with weirdly-placed buttons and a limp peplum. Were we prepared for satin booty shorts? I was not. Like, I?m not completely opposed to the idea of this look, but I think it could have been executed so much better at every level. Her styling was horrible and the shorts themselves weren?t even that great!! If you?re going to wear shorts to the Oscars, they better be GREAT shorts. These were not. Kristen?s fiancee Dylan Meyer looked great though, at least one of them got their hair done for the Oscars.
Penelope Cruz also ?got? to wear Chanel, because of her long ties to the brand. Penelope, much like Kristen, is often poorly served by Chanel. I absolutely think that?s what happened here they gave her a shiny navy sack with little buttons down the front and she was like ?I have to wear THIS?? I will also say that Javier Bardem has been having a flat-out great time throughout the awards season. He?s really been enjoying himself. They seem really happy!
And here?s Naomi Scott, sort of randomly (she and Kristen worked together on that ill-fated Charlie?s Angels reboot). Naomi wore this purple satin Fendi, a rather severe look for the Oscars. It occurs to me that this feels like a very Met Gala, look, right? Almost as if she was trying to adhere to some kind of theme. Anyway, I don?t really dislike it or anything. I love the color and I don?t mind a more severe silhouette at the Oscars.

| Kristen Stewart in Dolce & Gabbana at the Critics Choice Awards: surprisingly great? | Added 982 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some fashion photos from last night?s Critics Choice Awards. Kristen Stewart was nominated for Best Actress, but lost to Jessica Chastain. Which is what will probably happen at the Oscars too, God willing. That being said, K-Stew dressed like a winner. She?s finally been unshackled from her Chanel chains, however brief. Kristen wore this sort of pale gold Dolce & Gabbana gown to the Critics Choice and as someone who has covered her fashion during the Spencer promotion and awards season, I have to say that this is her best look of the past six months. Simple, elegant, pretty. Kristen and Chanel just don?t ?fit? together. She should have been wearing other designers this whole time.
Maggie Gyllenhaal wore Chloe. It?s just a basic dress. I think it?s taffeta, which is not great. I hope she wears something a lot better to the Oscars.
Jodie Turner-Smith in Gucci, with Joshua Jackson. I mean? stunning couple. They are so fking hot together. This dress is not my favorite at all, but the color is great and Jodie was having a lot of fun with it.
Elle Fanning in Oscar de la Renta. She?s such a ballerina! This is cute.
Jean Smart in Valentino. Yaaas, I love this. It?s basically a sparkly skirt and a sweatshirt. Which is kind of perfect for the Critics Choice, you know? It?s not the bloody Oscars. She can wear a (high-fashion) sweatshirt if she wants.
Mandy Moore in Elie Saab. A nice dress, sort of unmemorable.
Thuso Mbedu in Dior. This doesn?t seem like a Dior, right? She?s beautiful but I?m not sure this is the right look for her. I?m sure she felt like she couldn?t say no to a Dior though. Its the same basic design as Mandys (above) but I think this one is executed a lot better.

| Kristen Stewart wore a Chanel jumpsuit to the Spirit Awards: improved or nope? | Added 989 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some fashion photos from Sunday?s Independent Spirit Awards. Kristen Stewart was the ?chair? of the Spirit Awards this year, which just means she?s the big-name celebrity they got to act in an honorary position and hand out one of the big awards. K-Stew is a big indie queen but this was her first time at the Spirit Awards and she seemed to be enjoying herself in an awkward way. She wore this Chanel suit/jumpsuit which I actually really liked? We were just complaining about how Kristen gets sent the fking worst Chanel looks, then she turns up in this! I hope Chanel gives her something good for the Oscars, but I bet they make her wear some hideous, stiff tulle and satin mess.
There is absolutely an Andrew Garfield Hive and I am trying to placate them. Andrew wore a lovely purple sport coat to the Spirit Awards.
Lily James in Del Core. There were so many midriffs at the Spirit Awards! This top doesn?t do much for her.
Sydney Sweeney is everywhere these days. She wore Miu Miu this was actually one of my favorite looks of the night.
Julia Fox?s fifteen minutes are not up yet. Sigh?
Regina Hall looked fantastic! This was my favorite look. My only complaint was that I think the sleeve was just a tad too tight. Regina will be one of the hosts of the Oscars, remember?
Daveed Diggs in Moschino. Colorful! I love when men eschew black or blue suits.

| Kristen Stewart wore Chanel to the Santa Barbara film festival: hideous or okay? | Added 990 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Even though Karl Lagerfeld has left us (RIP), Ghost Lagerfeld is still messing around with Chanel?s collections. Case in point: Kristen Stewart wore this Chanel Spring 2022 dress/gown to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival this weekend. Every year, stars flock to Santa Barbara ahead of the Oscars because the SBIFF hands out special awards like candy. Kristen received the American Riviera Award, so she came out (drove up?) to Santa Barbara and wore this awful Chanel on the red carpet.
First of all, who even picks this dress out? Considering Kristen has been with Chanel for years now, you would think that she gets her pick of all of the latest collections. But it always feels like she gets the stuff that Diane Kruger, Lily-Rose Depp, Vanessa Paradis, Margot Robbie and the Delevingnes don?t want, meaning the ugliest dresses and suits. All of this is making me depressed because I feel like Kristen?s Oscar dress is going to make all of the worst-dressed lists no matter what. Chanel will send her some puke-green lampshade with tassels and bows and she?ll have to wear it. Here?s some of what Kristen had to say in Santa Barbara:
The 31-year-old has been in the public eye the majority of her life, but when asked to open up on the moment she knew just how famous she truly was, Stewart said it had a little something to do with paparazzi and marijuana. ?Two days before Twilight came out, I remember I was sitting on my porch with my dog and I got papped for the first time?sitting there smoking a bowl,? she said. ?I look back on that moment with fondness.?
Same for the franchise. Of Twilight, Stewart said, ?All of its faults are its strength because we just wanted it to be the best it could be,? she told Thompson. ?We were all so young.?
[From THR]
LOL, I sort of remember those smoking-a-bowl photos, that was so long ago. I?m glad she can laugh about it now! It?s kind of crazy that she?s gotten through the awards season without having to answer any old, unnecessary questions about Robert Pattinson.
Charlize Theron was there to present K-Stew with the award. What was Charlize wearing, my God.

| Kristen Stewart: 'I?ve probably made five really good films, out of 45 or 50 films' | Added 1090 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

While Kristen Stewart has matured a lot, it occurs to me that how we view and experience K-Stew has changed a lot too. Meaning, she still says things which could be read as ?bratty? or unprofessional, but they?re not coming out of the mouth of the 21-year-old star of the franchise about sparkly vampires anymore. She?s 31, she?s lived more, she?s broken out of certain franchise molds and so we experience her sh-t differently. Kristen is promoting Spencer, a film which will likely earn several awards in the coming awards season. Kristen is clearly proud of the film and she seems to be engaging in a lowkey Oscar campaign for it too. As she confessed to the Times (via Yahoo), she?s not always so proud of the films she makes.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Kristen said that knowing whether a film will be good from the script is a total crapshoot, meaning its risky or uncertain.
I?ve probably made five really good films, out of 45 or 50 films? Ones that I go, Wow, that person made a top-to-bottom beautiful piece of work! she continued. Asked which of her films count as the good ones, Kristen responded saying, I love Assayas?s movies, referring to director Olivier Assayas who she made Clouds of Sils Maria and Personal Shopper with.
As for the rest, she said, I?d have to look at my credit list. But they are few and far between.
Opening up about the films she regrets, Kristen added, That doesn?t mean I regret the experience [of making them]. I?ve only regretted saying yes to a couple of films and not because of the result, but because it wasn?t fun. The worst is when you?re in the middle of something and know that not only is it probably going to be a bad movie, but we?re all bracing until the end.
Responding to a question over whether shell name them, Kristen explained, No! I?m not a mean person ? I?m not going to call people out in public. But it?s like starting to date someone and going, Woah! I don?t know what we?re doing! But when you?re in the middle of a movie you can?t just break up.
[From Yahoo]
?I?ve probably made five really good films, out of 45 or 50 films?? would be read so differently if we didn?t already have so much history with K-Stew the Celebrity. And she?s right, she?s trying to explain the real phenomenon of trying to pick the right script and the right project only for it to turn out horribly. Her Assayas? movies are Personal Shopper and Clouds of Sils Maria, both of which were critically acclaimed (and she won a Cesar award for one of those performances). She?d probably put Spencer on the list, which leaves only one or two films she?s proud ofStill Alice, maybe? Panic Room? Definitely not the Twilight franchise.

| Kristen Stewart: Oscar campaigning is 'so embarrassing and so tiring' | Added 3 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kristen Stewart has a lengthy profile in the New Yorker to promote, you guessed it, Spencer. I recently saw Spencer and I liked it, but I?m not sure I?m completely buying K-Stew as Diana, or her performance as a shoo-in for the Best Actress Oscar. Given the buzz, I think she?ll likely be Oscar-nominated. But Spencer really is more like an artsy horror film rather than a historical movie about a princess. As for this New Yorker piece, it?s very much in line with the general messaging of Kristen?s Oscar campaign, the same one which has been waged for months already: Kristen has grown into one of the best actresses of her generation, she?s paid her dues, she?s a generational talent, she?s super-cool and offbeat.
Deciding to become a child actor: ?I think when I presented [my mom] with this she was, like, ?Sh-t, I?ve told her she can do anything she wants, now I have to drive her to these fking auditions.? ? Stewart tried out for a number of commercials, but the artifice of advertising didn?t come naturally to her. ?I was so bad at auditioning for commercials?like ?Try the soda pop,? or whatever.?
She?s not really Method or maybe she is: ?Maybe I?m extremely Method, because it is me, and there?s no separation, and I believe it so fully when it?s good.?
On Catherine Hardwicke, director of Twilight: ?She was kind of the perfect person to do a young-adult novel that had these dark romantic elements. She had this childlike openness and teen-age triggers, and her whole sensibility was that the movie was going to feel horny and overconfident.?
Reading with Robert Pattinson for the first time: ?It was so clear who worked,? Stewart said, grinning. ?I was literally just, like . . .? She mimicked a swoon, dropping her golf club at the memory of Robert Pattinson, the British actor who became her co-star and, for several years, her boyfriend. Pattinson, she said, had an ?intellectual approach that was combined with ?I don?t give a fk about this, but I?m going to make this sing.? And I was, like, ?Ugh, same.? And, whatever, we were young and stupid and, not to say that we made it so much better, but that?s what it needed, and that?s what anybody playing those parts needed to feel.?
Doing press for Twilight: ?It was very nave, in the best way. Like, how fun for people to think they know you,? she said, smiling slyly. ?Did you think I was going to do ?Twilight? forever? Is that how you saw me? If that?s how you saw me, then you really set me up for success, because I can do way more than that.?
How her affair with Rupert Sanders ruined the potential for a Snow White sequel. Although the film made about four hundred million dollars, a planned sequel was reworked as a spinoff, with different actresses. ?The work, to me, genuinely was ignored in a really sort of frivolous, silly, petty way for a group of adult people who were supposed to be running studios and making films.?
Why she ended up repping Chanel: ?There?s an elevated ambition to wanting to work with them. You?re, like, ?Oh, so that?s the best one? Cool, I guess I?ll do that.? When I was younger, I just wanted to be a winner.?
On her Oscar campaign: ?I?ve never been in the running, if you want to put it like that. I do not want to seem like an ass, but it?s so embarrassing and so tiring. It is highly political. You have to go talk to people. You feel like you?re a diplomat.?
She?s developing a gay ghost-hunting reality show with a friend: She described it as ?a paranormal romp in a queer space,? with elevated aesthetics. ?Gay people love pretty things. So we are aiming for a richness.?
[From The New Yorker]
Honestly, a high-class, snobby, gay ghost-hunting show sounds kind of awesome?? I would watch that? As for Kristen finding Oscar-campaigning ?so embarrassing? because she has to go and talk to people? I love it. Yes, she?s 31 years old, but she?ll always have that sulky teenage vibe and it?s hilarious. Despite her qualms, she is waging an aggressive Oscar campaign and, as I said, it will be successful in that she will likely get a nomination. Winning it is a whole other story. I enjoy what she said about Rob too. Less pleased with what she said about banging Rupert Sanders!
Additionally, Kristen gave an interview to Variety?s Awards Circuit Podcast this week and she was asked about all of her Oscar buzz, and what she thought of the possibility that she could win an Oscar for Spencer. Her answer? ?I don?t give a sh-t. The Oscars are such a funny thing. There are so many incredible movies and performances that barely get seen. It definitely says something about where we?re at as a cumulative presence ? what we?re looking at, what we care about. I really appreciate that something that I was involved in, has ignited such a large conversation. We don?t make movies to not connect with each other.?
