Mariah Carey and Anderson Paak were first linked in December 2024, when they were seen holding hands at a steak restaurant in Aspen. Sources said they were simply working on an album together. After being seen holding hands in Los Angeles in March 2025, a source told US Weekly that they were dating, but their busy schedules made it difficult for them to spend time together. In September 2025, they released their duet, ?Play This Song.? During the press tour for Mariah?s album, Here For It All, Gayle King asked Mariah Carey what was going on between them. MC responded that Paak was a ?hand-holding club.?
Things seemingly had ended between the two of them by early this year. TMZ reported in February that Paak was spotted on an intimate dinner date with Jeannie Mai. Well, it looks like things are back on between Mariah and Paak for now. On Thursday, they were spotted at the AMC theater in Century City heading into a showing of The Devil Wears Prada 2. They were decked out, too. Mariah was in a little black dress and sparkly blazer while Paak wore a black suit with sparkly pinstripes. Here?s more from Page Six:
Over a year after igniting romance speculation, Mariah Carey and Anderson .Paak once again stepped out together for a PDA-filled outing.
In photos obtained by Page Six, the pair was spotted holding hands while arriving at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles for a screening of ?The Devil Wears Prada 2? Thursday evening.
The ?Fantasy? songstress, 57, donned a chic LBD for the date night paired with black platform heels and a matching blazer. She swept her locks to the side and accessorized with a black handbag, lariat-style belt and a glittering necklace.
Anderson, 40, wore a black suit adorned with sparkling pinstripes, amping up the look with an open collar, a pair of round sunglasses and a necklace.
Reps for the rapper and the Grammy winning singer did not immediately return Page Six?s requests for comment on Friday.

Mariah Carey at a movie theater with the commoners is something I never had on my bingo card. She?s always struck me as the type of rich person that gets screeners sent to her house so she can watch them in her private theatre. Could you imagine being in line behind her at concessions? You?re just playing on your phone and then suddenly hear her drawl, ?Lamb, do get me a small popcorn with no butter and a large champagne!? I would have died.
I have to comment on the most obvious thing here: Their outfits! They probably headed to the theater after dinner, but I can absolutely believe that a sparkly outfit and high heels are MC?s standard movie-going attire. Paak?s suit is super fun. Sparkles and sequins are one of Mariah?s love languages. He gets it and it was fabulous. Anyway, I hope they enjoyed the movie! I haven?t seen it yet, but I have plans to go next weekend with my sisters and can?t wait. I did see The Sheep Detectives this weekend, though, and it was so much fun.

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky stepped out in New York on Mother?s Day. Rocky seemingly took Rihanna out to dinner at Cucina Alba, an Italian restaurant (you can see the menu here). Rihanna loves Italian food, and she has her favorite Italian joints in LA too. Many moms want one thing from Mother?s Day: they don?t want to cook, nor do they want to clean up from their husband?s attempts to cook. Rocky chose wisely.
But still, there?s been a lot of talk in the past week about whether Rocky and Rihanna are having relationship issues. The start of this talk was seemingly their subdued appearance at the Met Gala, and the video of Rocky and Rihanna looking upset with each other as they left the gala (video below). There are also rumors that Rihanna was mad at Rocky for flirting with or talking to Tyla at the gala. Those rumors have gathered steam because Tyla has been doing way too much to talk about Rihanna and how Rih was possibly rude to her. I also think Rihanna wanted to go out last night and she was happy to get pap?d as a way of diffusing this situation and/or clapping back on Tyla.

We got some exciting reveals in the run up to The Devil Wears Prada 2 being released. One was the real Emily Charlton (played by Emily Blunt in the original film) unmasking herself after 20+ years! Her name is Leslie Fremar and she parlayed her time at Vogue into a great career as a stylist to the stars, including Charlize Theron. Next, a central plot point to the sequel was leaked (which I will repeat here so proceed knowing that spoilers lay ahead). The big twist was that Justin Theroux was playing Emily Blunt?s love interest and that his character was a take on Jeff Bezos, in turn casting Emily in the Lauren Sanchez role. Keep in mind, all this was written and filmed a year before it was announced that The Bezoses were ?sponsoring? the Met Gala for $10-20 million. So, did the send up in the movie ruffle a few billionaire feathers? That?s what Radar Online says, claiming Jeff Bezos BANNED Justin Theroux from the Met Gala this year as punishment. Do we buy it?
Justin Theroux is the star who was allegedly banned from the Manhattan bash on May 4 after his character in The Devil Wears Prada 2, billionaire Benji Barnes, was widely believed to be based on Bezos.
?Justin?s character is Jeff, plain and simple,? a source dished to Hollywood insider Rob Shuter, who wrote about it on Substack.
?And Jeff has zero sense of humor when the joke is about him ? or Lauren. He can laugh at almost anything else. But mock him, mock her, and you?re done.?
Theroux plays a divorced billionaire tycoon who undergoes a dramatic glow-up by shedding weight and becoming a far more polished, stylish power player after falling for Emily Blunt?s glamorous fashionista, Emily Charlton, a storyline some claim hit a nerve with Bezos.
The billionaire famously morphed from a skinny, socially awkward tech mogul into a buffed-up luxury-loving alpha male after getting together with curvaceous vixen Sanchez in 2019 and divorcing his wife of 25 years, Mackenzie Scott.
?Jeff did not find it funny,? a second source claimed. ?Not the parody, not the performance, not the Lauren angle ? noen of it. And once Jeff was offended, Justin was never getting through that door.?
In the film, there?s another tip to Bezos? life: Benji?s ex-wife, played by Lucy Liu, dedicates her life to philanthropy post-divorce, just as Scott did with the $38.3 billion she got in the former couple?s divorce settlement.
Blunt?s character is also the ?star? of the high-powered coupling of the fashion queen and billionaire, becoming a chief executive at Dior. It?s not far from how Sanchez has been desperate to reinvent herself as a patron of fashion and design.
There had even been reports in 2025 that Bezos was circling an attempt to purchase Vogue?s parent company, Cond Nast, as a wedding present to Sanchez. The rumors intensified after the former TV news reporter was given the digital cover of Vogue following the couple?s June 2025 nuptials.
In the film, Benji attempts to buy the fictional Runway magazine so Emily can run it.
Theroux has been a popular presence at the Met Gala, having attended four times. He walked the stylish steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2004, 2010, 2018, and 2019.

Yeah, I don?t think I?m sold on this one. According to Radar?s sources, Bezos can?t take a joke, but they say he?s even more upset when someone pokes fun at his wife. (Meaning the man must be livid 24/7.) Sooooooo, why ban only Justin Theroux and not Emily Blunt as well? Or everyone from the film for that matter? But here?s where I really think the idea falls apart like last year?s fillers: whatever money Anna Wintour deigns to accept for the gala, I don?t think she?d ever relinquish control of the guest list. At least, not while she?s living, and even after that I don?t doubt she?ll find a way. The most reasonable explanation for Justin?s absence is that he and wife Nicole Brydon Bloom just welcomed a baby! Nicole already showed up for the DWP2 NYC red carpet very very very recently post-partum; I bet/hope Justin was like, ?fulfilled contractually required promo duties, we?re nesting at home now, peace.? Also, lol to Radar calling Justin a ?popular presence? at the Met? and then naming the FOUR times he?s been over the last 22 years.
Lastly, while I love the idea of poking fun at the Bezoses in DWP2, something about comparing Emily Charlton to Lauren Sanchez has never sat right with me. In the first movie, Emily Charlton is a genuine fashionista with real style. Whereas Lauren Sanchez has the uncanny ability to make anything look cheap. I understand how it all ties together for the story they wanted to tell, but I think they did Emily?s character dirty. I said what I said!

Princess Eugenie announced her pregnancy last week. She?s expecting her third, with husband Jack Brooksbank. Interestingly, Eugenie allowed Buckingham Palace to make the announcement or confirmation, and the palace?s statement very carefully avoided saying the names of Eugenie?s parents. I mean, Eugenie?s father was arrested in February and Eugenie?s mother has been on the run and in hiding abroad for the better part of five months. I don?t blame anyone for not including Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson?s names in the pregnancy announcement. Allegedly, Eugenie didn?t even tell her father the pregnancy news Andrew reportedly found out in a phone conversation with Sarah. This is all according to the Mail, which had several big stories about the House of York this weekend, almost all of which were centered on Eugenie?s pregnancy and how the knives are out for the Yorks.
Eugenie wondered about how to announce her pregnancy: The Mail on Sunday can exclusively reveal that the Palace became involved in issuing a formal proclamation only after Eugenie?s cousin Zara Tindall, one of the few to have been entrusted with the news, persuaded her to write to the King. A royal source has told me that Eugenie did so via an Easter card accompanied by a carefully written letter sent to her uncle. ?She and Jack were quite surprised by the warmth of the Palace response,? says the well-placed source, who claims that while the King is reported to feel protectively towards his nieces, they have seen little real sign of it in recent months?.The couple had feared a frostier reception and had been contemplating making a media announcement of their own without the Palace being involved, but the King made contact and asked his officials to make a formal announcement.? That proclamation, the MoS has learned, was purposefully delayed to ensure it didn?t overshadow the King and Queen?s recent overseas trip to the US and Bermuda.
Camilla wants the Yorks obliterated! But if the King?s kind-hearted response was something of a surprise then so too was the absence of Queen Camilla?s name from the congratulatory missive. Queen Camilla, the MoS has been told, is among those ?leading the anti-York faction?, closely followed by Prince William, who remains furious at the way his uncle?s misdemeanours have cast a shadow across the monarchy he will one day inherit. According to the source: ?She took a back seat on the scandal for quite a while out of deference to the King?s familial loyalties and to his health. But as the King?s health has improved she was instrumental in pushing him to act.? More recently, she is said to have formed the opinion that Eugenie, who is a director of Mayfair art gallery Hauser & Wirth, and Beatrice should stop using their titles, albeit on a voluntary basis.
Eugenie hasn?t been in contact with her father in months: Eugenie is said to have left it to her scandal-ridden mother to share news of a new Baby Brooksbank by phone with her 66-year-old father, the erstwhile Duke of York. While Fergie was one of the first to hear of the pregnancy, I am told that Eugenie has not been in touch with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor since he was stripped of his titles and kicked out of Royal Lodge in Windsor. ?Andrew found out that he was to be a grandpa again via Sarah,? says the source.
Sarah & Andrew aren?t issuing statements: ?Sarah is in hiding, so it wouldn?t have been appropriate for her to talk about the expected baby publicly,? one of her old friends said last week. ?But of course she was one of the first to hear the news, directly from Eugenie. They spoke at length. This is what mothers and daughters do.?
How Prince William feels: Prince William, too, is said to be concerned about his cousins? links to Epstein, a subject on which both have maintained an uncomfortable silence. According to the source: ?William was keen to keep the girls close and not let them be tainted by the sins of their father and the stupidity of both parents, but the Epstein revelations mean he has abandoned that plan. The way he and Kate have pointedly not publicly welcomed the baby news is a sign of how things have changed.?
Line of succession: The impending arrival of Eugenie?s third child has also heaped further pressure on the ongoing debate about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor?s place in the line of succession. Calls for him to be removed have extended to suggestions that the entire House of York, including Beatrice, Eugenie and their descendants, should suffer the same brutal fate. While Eugenie is currently 12th in line to the throne, her new baby will be 15th, displacing Prince Edward who, unlike his nieces, is a working royal, clocking up 313 official engagements in 2025.
Camilla wants all of them out of the line of succession: The Queen has apparently concluded that all of the Yorks, including Beatrice, Eugenie and their children, should be excluded from the royal line. ?Her attitude is that they are all a stain on the monarchy,? says the source. However, when it comes to his younger brother, the King is said to be caught between a rock and a hard place.

The drumbeat of ?eliminate all of the Yorks from the line of succession? is getting louder by the day, especially given that Eugenie?s Baby #3 will soon be ahead of Prince Edward and Princess Anne in the succession. While I think it?s likely that, in the next few years, Andrew will be removed from the line of succession, I kind of doubt that King Charles will remove Eugenie, Beatrice and their children. Now, a Scooter King might try, and when he does well, say goodbye to the whole royal blood is magic thing. If someone can be removed from the succession just because their father is a degenerate criminal, then the line of the succession is going to have to remove a lot of people. The fact that Camilla is in some dark corner, leading the anti-York contingency is certainly interesting too, because Camilla used to be a great cheerleader for both Andrew and Sarah just a few years ago. Anyway, I?ve argued that both Eugenie and Beatrice need to get the hell out of there and I still believe it. Fk those titles and fk royal privilege. Just get out of there and start new lives with your families.
