Back in 2017, there were strong rumors that Charlize Theron and Gabriel Aubry were hooking up. At the time, Charlize was single and Gabriel probably was too, and he had been pretty quiet for a few years following his heated custody and child support battle with Halle Berry. The basis for the 2017 rumor was that Charlize and Gabriel actually did know each other and their kids went to the same LA school. There were even photos of Gabe and Charlize talking during a school run. Well, five years later, that same rumor is being dusted off.
Spring fling! Charlize Theron has a new man in her life, an insider exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
?Charlize has been hooking up with Gabriel Aubry,? the source says of the Oscar winner, 46, and the model, 45. ?They?re very casual and enjoying each other.?
The Fate of the Furious actress and the Canada native were previously linked in 2017 after they were photographed together, but Theron denied rumors that they were dating. ?I?ve never met him,? the Atomic Blonde star said during a July 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. ?I met him for, like, three seconds. Like, passing I was just like, ?Hi!? because our kids go to the same school.?
The South African star is mom to daughters Jackson, 10, and August, 8, whom she adopted in 2012 and 2015, respectively. Aubry, for his part, shares daughter Nahla, 14, with ex-girlfriend Halle Berry, from whom he split in 2010.
While Theron and the golf enthusiast have connected with each other, the insider notes that they?re still taking it slow. ?It?s nothing serious,? the source explains to Us exclusively.

It?s pretty random for this rumor to get a second life five years later! Especially since Charlize, to me, doesn?t seem to prioritize romance or even hooking up. Her priorities are her daughters and her mom. She?s built a wall around her family unit. Sean Penn briefly scaled the wall and something happened between them Charlize ran away and ghosted him and she doesn?t want to talk about any of it. Charlize doesn?t really seem to have a type. So? whatever. If they?re hooking up, good for them. If not, I?m sure they?re both fine.

Here are more photos from the Cannes Film Festival, from Thursday?s red carpets. At first, I only saw Julia Roberts from the waist up, and I thought it was cool that she wore a suit. But then I saw the whole look? my God. This is Louis Vuitton and it?s my sad duty to inform everyone that LV is back to fking up everything. This isn?t even a suit, it?s a jumpsuit!!! It?s all one piece, with built-in ?tails.? It?s so unflattering. Julia has a nice figure too it?s not difficult to find flattering clothes for a tall, lanky woman. You have to TRY to fk it up. That being said, I have felt that Julia?s current stylist (whoever she?s been using in the past five years or so) kind of hates her.
Deepika Padukone in Louis Vuitton. The color is gorgeous on her. The dress is pretty, but it would have been so much more sophisticated without the peplum.
Rebecca Hall in Gucci. Hall is there as a member of the Cannes jury, btw. That?s why we?re getting so many photos of her. This was a good look, honestly. I don?t hate it. Julia should borrow Rebecca?s stylist.
Alessandra Ambrosio in Stephane Rolland. Hilariously bad, offensively cheap-looking.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a custom Gaurav Gupta. I mean? the idea of it is fine. Big, sculptural couture on a beautiful woman. The execution though? yikes. The wave/pattern of the fabric is kind of unflattering and I?m not sure pale pink/lilac is Aishwarya?s best color. Still, it was a moment.

While the Duchess of Cambridge got the most attention at last night?s royal premiere of Top Gun: Maverick, I do think it?s worth discussing the other women at the premiere! Jennifer Connelly was brought into the sequel, and she plays Maverick?s love interest. Jennifer is a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton, so she?s almost always wearing LV on any given red carpet. It gets a bit boring, but LV gave her some interesting looks for the promotional tour. I actually loved her LV last night. I love the print (which I think is beading, actually), I love the simplicity of the black-and-white on her. And I love that she?s finally doing a real hairstyle and not the scraped-back look she usually does.
As for the men, Tom Cruise wore Brioni, the same brand which Brad Pitt reps. Interesting choice. Miles Teller went with a double-breasted Fendi tuxedo and I actually think he got the best tux/suit look. Miles?s wife Keleigh wore Zuhair Murad. I? love her look as well. I don?t know what?s going on here. Maybe the pandemic made me miss big red carpets or something, but I think everyone looked great?
Also: thanks for sending me this tweet, I completely agree with this theory. The Duchess of Cambridge is rarely photographed next to or in front of women who are thin fashionistas. While there are photos of Kate speaking to J-Con, the way those photos were staged for the bank of photographers made it almost impossible to get a photo of Kate and J-Con together, side-by-side.
So ? I have a theory that KP and the rota reject photos where Kate is near women who are as attractive or as thin as she is. Notice the difference between the first picture (posted my KP) vs the typical photos posted by news outlets. Interesting how KP hides J Connelly pic.twitter.com/4JAJP3omzp

Anne Hathaway is in Cannes for the first time in several years. She?s in Cannes to promote and premiere Armageddon Time, director James Gray?s autobiographical look at Queens in the 1980s. The film stars Anne, Jeremy Strong and Anthony Hopkins (who was not in Cannes). The Cannes audience seemed to like/appreciate the film but it wasn?t a huge slam-dunk.
Anne Hathaway was a slam-dunk on the red carpet though. It?s been forever since she?s done a huge premiere or big promotional push. She?s been working, for sure, but she?s also taken some time away from the Hollywood grind and given birth to two sons (Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman and Jack Shulman). Anne wore this Armani Prive gown which I believe is actually three pieces. The gown is basically a high column skirt, a bandeau top and a stole which acted as ?sleeves? and a train. The gown is sort of plain/beautiful, but what I like is that Anne decided to go super-undone with her styling. She looks like she?s barely wearing any makeup, her hair is so simple and almost bedhead-y and she looks so young and fresh.
Her look is also notable because she got to wear a very special Bulgari necklace, the Mediterranean Reverie, from one of Bulgari?s latest collections. That is a 107.15 carat sapphire. Stunning. Her sapphire ring is Bulgari too, I?m sure.
