Anyway, Kim is happy as a clam today because she won GQ UK?s ?Woman of the Year? Award and everyone is talking about her terrible ensemble last night. I?m actually surprised that Kanye showed up at an event in which Kim was being celebrated, you know? When Kim made her little acceptance speech, she gave a shout-out to Yeezus, saying: “What a huge honor to win Woman of the Year. It’s so special. I want to thank my husband for making me feel like the Woman of the Year every single day.”

The GQ Woman of the Year was in good spirits as she sauntered past shutterbugs in a monochromatic jumpsuit with black peep-toed ankle boots on her way to chat with deejay Nick Grimshaw.
Meanwhile, Kim made it clear that she?s looking forward to further family expansion on this past Sunday?s episode of ?Keeping Up with the Kardashians.?
Shot before her nuptials with Kanye West, the ?Disaster Movie? dame declared, "Let's hurry up and have the wedding so I can get pregnant again."
And an inside source confirms that Kim "definitely wants to give North a brother or sister, too. She thinks having a boy for Kanye would be so cute. She also has always wanted kids close to each other in age.?

I know like 5 people are going to care about this story but my brain needs a break from some of the horrible things that are going on lately. I want to pretend I’m at Rachel Bilson’s baby shower giving her advice.
Bilson, 33, is due to have her first baby, with boyfriend Hayden Christensen, also 33, sometime this fall. Bilson announced her pregnancy in late May, and assuming she was around three months along at that time she’d be about seven months pregnant now. I could be wrong, she could be due sooner than that.
Anyway US Weekly has details of Rachel’s baby shower over the weekend. It was attended by her Hart of Dixie costar, Jaime King, along with Natalie Portman and some of Rachel’s family and childhood friends. Instead of gifts, guests gave Bilson a bead that will go on a special necklace she’ll wear while giving birth. With the bead, each guest gave her a piece of advice. I like that tradition! How have I never heard of that before? Here’s more, including the detail that Rachel is having a girl:
The Hart of Dixie actress, 33, was feted on Sunday, Aug. 31, at a private home in L.A. According to the source, guests included Bilson’s high school girlfriends, family, and a handful of celebrities including fellow moms Natalie Portman and CW co-star Jaime King.
Bilson’s shower gifts, however, veered away from the traditional. “Instead of gifts, everyone brought a birth bead,” the insider tells Us. “Each person gave her a piece of advice and a blessing along with the bead.”
The beads were to then be stranded together into a necklace for Bilson. “She will use the beads for strength during labor,” the source explains.
In return, guests went home with party favors including tea and mints that came in boxes affixed with a tag reading “Rachel & Baby, Mint to Be.”
As for the woman of the hour herself? “She’s so excited to be having a baby girl,” the insider says. (Us Weekly exclusively revealed in May that The OC alum is expecting her first child with boyfriend Hayden Christensen. The two went glamping most recently to celebrate Bilson’s 33rd birthday on Monday, Aug. 25.)
“She’s wanted it for a long time and is going to be an amazing mom,” the source adds of Bilson’s pregnancy. “Everyone is ecstatic for her.”

That’s lovely and a great idea. I googled “Birth Beads” and I guess this is a baby shower thing that people are doing. Here’s part of the explanation from WhatToExpect with more at the source. Birth beads are “an African tribal tradition. Those close to the mother make a wish for the baby and another wish for the labor. Each wish is represented by a bead. The mommy-to-be will find comfort in wearing the necklace or bracelet during labor. It reminds her that she is not alone and there are many people projecting good thoughts at this time.”
I really like that, especially for celebrities who are probably gifted countless items from baby companies and who are so wealthy they can buy exactly what they want. Why bother getting them gifts they will barely use? It sounds like it takes a lot of the pressure off too. I wonder if you could use this concept with music, for example. Like each guest could pick a song that’s relevant to her and add the song to a shared spotify playlist for the mom-to-be. Advice, ideas or music are a great gifting idea for so many other occasions too, like weddings or anniversaries. It’s much more meaningful than a typical gift, especially for established people who don’t need money or things. Graduates would probably still appreciate some cash, but for other occasions this would work.
Congratulations to Rachel and Hayden! I bet she’ll be a great mom.

Who would have thought that a rebound relationship, where the guy moved in within a week and which concluded with a quickie wedding, would be facing any kind of trouble? It?s not like they jumped into this without getting to know each other, right? It?s not like Kaley is going to be making $90 million over the next few years and she didn?t even bother with a prenup for her Tennis K-Fed, right? Why would any of that lead to trouble?
Looks like there’s trouble in paradise for another Hollywood couple. Life & Style has exclusively learned just eight months after tying the knot, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and tennis pro husband Ryan Sweeting are at each other’s throats. ?They get into these knockout, drag-out fights,? says an insider.
In fact, eyewitnesses detail an argument the two got into one on Emmy night at an HBO afterparty. ?They were very angry ? going back and forth at each other,? recalls a fellow reveler who witnessed their argument on Aug. 25. Adds another source at the fete: ?Kaley was shaking her head, turning red. She looked like she was going to cry.?
“Kaley ? who’d been drinking ros ? whispered ‘Please don?t leave me’ to Ryan, then got up to go to the bathroom,? the first partygoer relates. ?After she walked away, Ryan put his finger to his head and pretended to shoot himself. Twice.?

Damn, that?s? wow. You know it?s bad when a couple fights like that in public, at an industry party. So, who are we blaming? I think there?s enough blame to go around. Both of them should have known better ? these are not impulsive teenagers, you know? Kaley is 28 and Ryan is 27. I understand getting swept up in a new relationship in the beginning, but every single person thought rushing into marriage was a bad idea.

Kate Hudson covers the September issue of Red UK. She’s not promoting any movies, so this must be a push for her Fabletics company. I get a kick out of the Fabletics ads — they appear to promise a tush like Kate’s if you wear her athletic clothing. Has anyone tried their clothes? They pick monthly outfits for you based upon your interests with no obligation to buy. The clothes look basic and functional and promise wicking capabilities. Hmm.
The journo in this interview seems shocked that Kate makes her confirmation call by herself. She also shows up without minders (a nanny for Bing doesn’t count). The topics of the conversation include her enduring engagement and how gossip magazines make women look bad. She also denies having an eating disorder to keep her figure:
Her 3-year engagement to Matt Bellamy: “I?m not in a rush. We are basically married. It is really about when are we going to take the time to plan a wedding.”
On dating/marrying musicians: “After Chris I didn?t think I?d ever date a musician again. That world is difficult. But it is what it is, right? I like people with musicality … I find it attractive.”
Tabloid interest in her love life: “It goes in waves. I think when you are single they just throw you in the fire. When you’re single, you are dating everybody. And you are like, ‘I never even met this person.’ You realise they want every female to be a wh-re. It?s true. These (gossip) magazines really, really want women to look bad. Why would you paint such a bad picture of women that young girls look up to? I will never understand that.”
No eating disorders here: “If there is one thing I will never have, it is an eating disorder. I won’t have girls — even if it is just one or two who care — thinking that. Because it?s a serious sickness, not something to plaster on the cover of a magazine. And I am the opposite. I want to be giving girls the message that, sometimes you do gain 70 pounds having a baby, and you can lose it if you want. The whole point is I want girls to love themselves. I want them to feel good about who they are.?

Kate is sweet and harmless. I think she’s genuinely aghast at the tabloid discussion of her love life. She’s correct about her dating encounters being sensationalized. Kate usually has long-term relationships, and it’s not like she was stumbling out of clubs and getting it on in public. Her Owen Wilson era was really heavy, but he’s a complicated guy. Their relationship was not a healthy one. I’m glad that she and Matt Bellamy are mostly drama free even though the tabs keep telling it differently.
On the eating disorder topic, Kate has already said that diets should be banned. She doesn’t have problems with food, and she’s responsible enough to realize girls are watching celebrities’ habits. I do think she excessively exercises at times. Kate worked out six hours per day (according to Star) to lose the baby weight. If that story’s true, does that qualify as a disorder?

Miley Cyrus is everywhere all over again. I couldn’t figure out why she’s giving so many interviews lately, but she’s promoting her Australian tour dates. Yesterday, I covered several Miley interviews including the Sunday Morning discussion where she unironically compared herself to Elvis. The rest of the interview has surfaced, and Miley’s talking about weed again. This is one of her favorite subjects. Miley says weed is much better for your mind than social media.
Miley has a new tattoo that reads “love your brain,” and she says this is a reminder to curb her internet use. Huh. Miley posts to Instagram 5-6 times per day. She tweets all the time, and she does Facebook too. That’s a lot of social media for someone who claims to dislike it. She spams my Instagram feed more than any other celebrity (including James Franco). Let’s listen to Miley’s wisdom anyway:
Social media is worse than weed: “You know what hurts your brain? Instagram. You know what hurts your brain? Reading comments on Facebook. You know what hurts your brain? Reading US Weekly.”
She mixes Instagram & weed: “I put some picture of me smoking weed … on my Instagram because I was brought up in the way that we never thought marijuana was bad.”
More on twerking Elvis: “He was like s-x. He was a symbol of s-x but no one would have ever called Elvis a sh-t because he wasn’t a girl. It’s that double standard and I think I’m doing something for the double standard.”
She’s a role model, sort of: “I don?t put myself up on a pedestal and say ‘look at me I’m an example.’ The only thing I’m an example of is freedom, especially in this time where the energy of the world is shifting from male energy to female energy.”
This is the Miley era: “I just want to make the music that I love. I?ve already served my time of doing what people want me to do and doing what a company wants me to do now forget it?s about what I want to do to be happy.”
She’s very grounded: “I tell people, you know, going to the club doesn?t make me a bad person, going to church doesn?t make you a good one. Everything that I do is kind of for me and for my own happiness and I think that?s why I?m like so happy.”

Miley does have a point when it comes to double standards for performing artists. Elvis was controversial in his time, and so is Miley, but she doesn’t get Elvis the way Eminem did many years ago. That’s a conversation for another day.
I do find humor in Miley dissing social media when she’s an addict like so many other people. That’s fine. It’s what people do nowadays, but not everyone is popping a squat and showing off their bongs on Instagram. Miley is thirsty for attention and doesn’t realize it.

Chloe Sevigny has a new Amazon series, The Cosmopolitans, which has a pilot out now. Amazon seeks to do big business against Netflix. I’m skeptical of Amazon’s ability to do all things. Maybe it will work out. I won’t subscribe to Amazon Prime, but that’s okay. Chloe has a Netflix series in the works too. Scandal!
Chloe has a new interview with the Daily Beast. She’s promoting her newly announced Chloe Book, which is a style book that comes out out in 2015 (you can read about it in the full interview). In these excerpts, Chloe’s still a hilariously judgy hipster. She laments all the jocks who have taken over NYC even though she prefers “a macho dude.” These jocks are ruining her vibe, man:
French men vs. American men: “I?ve never dated a French man! I want to be the sexy one. I feel like they do an overtly sexy thing–at least the ones I know–but I?d rather have me be the sexy one. I like more of … a macho dude.”
Her recent move to Brooklyn: “Two weeks ago. I just sold my apartment a year ago. After ten years of living in the East Village, I was on 10th St. between 2nd and 3rd, I was like, ‘Get me the f— out of here.? I was looking around a lot in Manhattan, but the prices were exorbitant. And then I looked in Brooklyn, and I didn?t want to live in ‘hip’ Brooklyn, so I moved out to the dorkiest, hokiest neighborhood–Park Slope–and I?m really feeling the vibes out there. But the flight patterns out there are constant. I?d read a bit about it in the New York Times, but I didn?t realize how bad it was ’til I moved out there–planes constantly buzzing overhead.”
Rumors of bedbugs on the L-train: “On the trendy train?”
The state of NYC: “I?m trying to stay positive. A lot of people are hating on everything that?s going on. But I love New York so much. But walking around the East Village, I just want to cry at the state of it. There are so many f—in’ jocks everywhere! It?s like a frat house everywhere. There are all those terrible bars like The 13th Step, and it’s just spreading over to A and B. I don’t know if it?s a sign of the times, but where are the real weirdos? The real outcasts? They?re a vanishing breed here. Maybe New York isn?t drawing that anymore because it?s too expensive. Vintage clothing shops are sort of a metaphor for the state of New York City, because they’re not ‘vintage,” and they’re expensive as hell now. That?s what I call ‘Fashion Goths.’ You see these kids walking on the street and think, ‘Oh, look at that Goth kid,’ and then you realize it isn’t a Goth kid, it?s just a ‘Fashion Goth’ who?s dressed as a Goth kid. It?s so disparaging.”
On social media: “I?ve never had a Twitter, and my Facebook is private. Maybe I should do a promotional, Instagram-y thing … but I don?t even have an iPhone yet. I have a BlackBerry. I like to evolve with the times, but it just seems like over-sharing. I already have to share too much with all the vampires of the world. I have this girl I?m friends with on Facebook, and even she talks about ‘wanting likes.’ It?s weird that creative minds like hers are striving for this sense of approval, and this dopamine release. It?s really dangerous.”

Chloe is a master shade thrower. She’s so subtle and self-deprecating that you don’t even realize her marvelous insults until a few seconds later. She’s not unnecessarily mean. Chloe tells it like it is. I left out the parts of the interview where Chloe says murderous club kid Michael Alig used to shun her (Chloe later played Alig’s girlfriend in Party Monster). Chloe calls Alig an a-hole and keeps ripping on him. He deserves it.
Chloe also repeats a previous point about how she’ll never regret Brown Bunny. That was the movie where she gave Vincent Gallo a real-life beej, and he spent half the movie on a motorcycle driving into the horizon. The movie was almost universally panned, and I remember stories about Chloe crying at the Cannes premiere. I’m glad she’s recovered from the stigma and doesn’t shy away from answering questions.
Chloe signs off the interview with her usual hipster flourish. She had an appointment at the Apple store to fix her 15-year-old laptop. See, it’s possible to use Apple products without falling into the iCloud trap. Chloe is fabulous.

Jennifer Lopez covers the October issue of Elle UK, which I?m assuming is promotion for her new single or whatever. Her last album came out in June, right? I?m not just hallucinating? J.Lo?s albums don’t have much of an impact in the music world, but she’s releasing a new single/collaboration with Iggy Azalea, which may mean that J.Lo gets more radio play (seriously, the radio stations love Iggy). Anyway, the Elle cover is lovely. Jennifer is SO PRETTY. But the interview? Eh, at least she?s self-aware. That?s all I?m giving her. Some highlights:
She still believes in The One: ?I still believe in love. The nirvana man, he?s out there somewhere. But you just have to work at it. You have to work at everything. Every single album I have ever made is about love. But I am not going to give up. I?ve got to hope that if I keep going, I will eventually get it right.?
Her past relationship mistakes: ?Everybody has seen that I make mistakes. I rush in, I get swept up and I ignore the signs. But so many of us are guilty of these things. Each time it goes wrong, it?s hard. I get really hurt but I have to let myself go: ?What did I do? What can I learn?? And as hard and as hurtful as things get, I want to believe I will be able to go one step higher. I?ve got to hope that if I keep going I will eventually get it right.?
Being a single mom is ?not easy?: ?I?m from a traditional background. It takes two people to make a kid for a reason. It?s tough because I know they feel the void of that male presence. When Marc and I first broke up, I did think: ?I wish I could have held this together.? I?m also including photos of J.Lo in the Hamptons over the weekend ? this dress is Gucci and I love it. According to Page Six, everyone in the stuffy old Hamptons was shocked by her ensemble at the Hampton Classic Horse Show. Oh, and Page Six also said that Casper is in the Hamptons with her.

The GQ UK Men of the Year Awards were held last night in London and we have so many good/interesting photos from the event. This post is just about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. This is the reason why Kanye and Kim flew to London yesterday ? I covered those photos, with Doc Martens-clad North West. Kim and Kanye appeared at this event because Kim won GQ UK’s “Woman of the Year” gong.
I?m assuming Kanye dressed Kim. Just because that seems to be their M.O. and Kanye does treat Kim like she?s his very special (sex) doll. It?s all very My Fair Lady. So, Kanye told Kim to wear this Ralph & Russo gown which? eh. I never know what to think of Ralph & Russo as a label. The designs can veer into ?matronly? but sometimes their churn out some old-school glam. This is neither. This just looks like a drowsy hooker wanted to wear something sparkly. Apparently, this isn?t technically a dress ? Kim paired a leather bodysuit with a glittery skirt. Was that the designer?s intention? Eh. Anyway, there?s too much fabric and heaviness being added to Kim?s mid-section which (guess what?) adds weight.
Kim also ?cut? her hair recently. I?m using sarcastic quotes because I think she just took out some of her extensions, but for what it?s worth? I like this length on her. I also like that she?s trying out some volume and wavy bedhead styles rather than that dated, pin-straight, center-part hair she usually does.
Oh, and Kim posted an Instagram photo of the place settings for her table at this event. She and Kanye were seated with Sam Smith (poor, poor Sam Smith!!), Lewis Hamilton, Jonah Hill (!!!) and Pharrell Williams. Pray for all of them, because you know Kanye was dropping some Yeezus truth-bombs on all of them.
PS? I LOVE the photo of Kanye fixing her skirt. Hand to God, I love it.

Ha, we?re getting more details about The Brangelina Wedding from Hello and People Magazine. People led me to believe that Angelina?s wedding gown was made by Luigi Massi, the ?master tailor? of Versace. But Donatella Versace wants everyone to know that SHE designed the gown, Massi just made it, I guess. Donatella gave Us Weekly a look at her sketches for the gown (you can see the sketch here) and Donatella tells Us Weekly: ?Angelina has it all. Beauty, class and brains. Angelina Jolie walked down the aisle on Saturday, Aug. 23, to the tune of her husband Brad Pitt humming the “Wedding March.” The couple shared the details behind their super-secret wedding in the latest issue of the UK’s Hello! magazine, including any potential honeymoon plans and how their six kids were actively involved in planning the ceremony.
“We wanted it to be intimate and it was,” the newlyweds told the mag of their ceremony, which was held in a chapel on their Southern French estate, Chateau Miraval. “It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.”
Indeed, the Jolie-Pitt kids — Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and 6-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox — each had a say on his/her involvement in the nondenominational ceremony. “They picked their clothes and their duties,” Brangelina told Hello! “They all took it very seriously. Knox practiced carrying coins and acorns on his little pillow before he got the ring.” (Later, Hello! learned that one of the kids dropped a ring.)
As Us Weekly confirmed last Thursday, Aug. 28, Jolie, 39, walked down the aisle with her eldest sons Maddox and Pax. Daughters Zahara and Vivienne “threw petals gathered from the garden,” their spokesperson told Us, while second oldest daughter Shiloh and youngest son Knox were ring bearers.
According to the mag, when the A-listers kissed at the altar, Shiloh had to stifle herself with the ring cushion to stop laughing out loud.
“They are our best friends and the people closest to us in our lives,” the couple told Hello!
The bride even wanted her kids to make a mark on her custom-designed gown by Atelier Versace — literally. “I wanted the kids to be a part of everything including the dress, because that’s our family,” Jolie told Hello! of her white silk-satin gown embroidered with drawings from her six kids. “That represents the way we live out life together.” Hilariously, one illustration on Jolie’s veil read “Buttock Fatock.”
Even after the ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed a cake baked by Pax. To celebrate the joyous occasion, the family ate a home-cooked provincial-style meal on the grounds of their estate. Pitt’s parents, William and Jane, as well as his brother Doug and sister Julie, were all present to toast the couple.
As for any potential honeymoon plans? “We are making a film [By the Sea] about an unhappily married couple. It’s not lost on us what a strange honeymoon it is!” Brangelina joked of their film, currently being shot in Malta. As exclusively reported by Us, the two share some “crazy sex scenes” in the movie.
“It’s a wonderful feeling to be married,” the couple concluded. “The children are so happy.”

I love the details ? Pax baked a cake! Knox practiced his ringbearer duties but Shiloh did not! I get the feeling that Shiloh was the ring-dropper too. That kid is such a handful ? I bet Angelina sees a lot of herself in Shiloh. Hello also noted the fact that Brad did something special to remember Angelina’s mom – Brad had a stone engraved “with a tribute to Bertrand at the spot where they said ‘I do’ in the chapel at Chateau Miraval.” Aw.
LaineyGossip had some of the scans from Hello ? go here to see. The setting looks very minimalist and Maddox is so friggin? tall these days. Oh, and James Haven WAS there. He?s just super-discreet, which is good.
