Blake Lively covers the July issue of Marie Claire to promote The Shallows, or the movie about Blake Lively on a rock, with bonus shark. Blake has been somewhat quiet since her explosion of unfortunate quotes and interviews at the Cannes Film Festival last month. Considering the lack of baby-bump in the Marie Claire photo below, I think this whole editorial and interview was done several months back, before Blake was showing and before journalists thought to ask her ?so, what do you really think about Woody Allen?? What I?m saying is that she doesn?t address her problematic statements about Woody Allen in this piece. Here are some highlights:
On family being the number one thing in her life: ?All my eggs are in one basket, and that?s where my heart is. That?s where my everything is.?
Why she wanted to marry Ryan Reynolds: ?I knew he would always be my best friend for my whole life. That was the biggest thing to me. I?d never known anything like the friendship that I had with him. I could like him as much as I loved him.?
On the paparazzi and her daughter: ?I?d rather not have to deal with it at all, but we knew the lifestyle we were getting into, and while it?s hard?it?s another thing when it?s our child. She didn?t have the opportunity to make a decision about what she wants.?
On not wanting to be involved in the entertainment industry like her family: “I didn’t want to be an actor, because they were all doing it. When you’re the youngest of five kids, you think, Who am I? If this is who they are, and they’re shaping who I am so much, then who would I be? You strive for your own identity.”
On raising her children: “Ryan had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had. We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had, because we’d feel really selfish.”
Her daughter James: “[She] looked like his doppelgnger for the first six months,” but now, she says, has finally picked up some of her features. Namely, “she has my clammy hands! And my heavy eyelids, my meaty eyelids.”
[From Marie Claire]
?Meaty eyelids??? I didn?t even know that was a thing. I?ve never heard anyone describe anyone?s eyelids as ?meaty.? Heavy-lidded, yes, of course. But meaty? Hm. As for all of the nice things she says about Ryan Reynolds, for whatever reason, I think they?re the real deal. I think they adore each other and they?re a good team and they?ll probably be married forever (hopefully). As for the comments about the paparazzi? I was going to ?O RLY?? her, but really, she and Ryan haven?t conveniently pap-strolled with the baby or used her strategically. While Blake might famewhore herself, she protects her kid.

| Zoe Saldana on the 'Nina' debacle: 'There's no one way to be black' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Zoe Saldana covers the new issue of Allure. Most of the interview is about her feminism, her babies, her difficult birthing experience, and how Hollywood mothers rallied around her and the power of the sisterhood. But what will get the most attention, I?m sure, is the part where she discusses Nina, the Nina Simone bio-pic that was widely criticized several months ago. While the film received a lot of criticism, Zoe was widely slammed for taking the role, for agreeing to ?blackface? and for associating herself with this terrible project whatsoever. So, months have passed and Zoe has had time to think about how she wants to position herself and what she wants to say. Some highlights from Allure:
Changing dirty diapers: “Everybody told me, ‘Oh, don’t worry, I know you hate changing diapers, but when you have your own kid…. Well, guess what? I had my own kids, and I will do whatever I need to do to not change a dirty diaper. A blowout? I can’t do it?I end up with sh-t everywhere! There is sh-t on the boy; there is sh-t on me; there is sh-t in my hair. And I’m like, How did this happen?”
Her emergency C-section: “The boys came at 32 weeks. They found protein in my urine; my platelets crashed. I didn’t qualify for an epidural, so I delivered under general anesthetic. I didn’t even meet them until a day later. Looking back, I think the boys were three or four months old, and one morning I woke up with just this flood of emotions. Marco had them, too, and we were able to have our deconstruction session in the bathroom while they were napping, to say to each other, ‘Holy sh-t, did we come close to it all changing forever?’ We allowed ourselves to have a moment of ‘poor us.’ And that was it. Then somebody cried, and it was ‘Got to go!’”
She requested that the studio provide babysitters: “The tone changed in the negotiations. I was starting to feel that I was…difficult? [it was] considered a perk, or ‘Give this to me; I’m having a diva fit’? No. This is a necessity that you must cover for me in order for me to go and perform my job? The fact that there are women working in these studios?and they’re the ones [enforcing] these man-made rules. When are we going to learn to stick together?”
On the criticism she got for the Nina debacle: “I have a strong sense of self. I have no problem admitting my errors; just have respect for me. If I am just like wallpaper, there’s no need for me to be here. It’s kind of like that Nina Simone song?you’ve got to learn to leave the table when love isn’t being served?
On the slam from Nina Simone?s estate: ?There’s no one way to be black. I’m black the way I know how to be. You have no idea who I am. I am black. I’m raising black men. Don’t you ever think you can look at me and address me with such disdain.”
The idea that she was ?too pretty? to play Nina Simone: “I never saw her as unattractive. Nina looks like half my family! But if you think the [prosthetic] nose I wore was unattractive, then maybe you need to ask yourself, What do you consider beautiful? Do you consider a thinner nose beautiful, so the wider you get, the more insulted you become?”
She doesn?t regret taking the part: “The script probably would still be lying around, going from office to office, agency to agency, and nobody would have done it. Female stories aren’t relevant enough, especially a black female story. I made a choice. Do I continue passing on the script and hope that the ‘right’ black person will do it, or do I say, ‘You know what? Whatever consequences this may bring about, my casting is nothing in comparison to the fact that this story must be told.’ The fact that we’re talking about her, that Nina Simone is trending? We f–king won. For so many years, nobody knew who the f–k she was. She is essential to our American history. As a woman first, and only then as everything else. Let it be the first movie. If you think you can do it better, then by all means. Let ours be version number one of ten stories in the next ten years about the f–king iconic person that was Nina Simone.”
[From Allure]
I want to give her the benefit of the doubt, I can?t help but think she has LARGELY missed the point about the Nina Simone conversation. No one was saying that Zoe is too pretty to play Nina, we were saying that she didn?t look anything like Nina and it was offensive to see a light-skinned Afro-Latina woman wear blackface and a prosthetic nose to play an icon like Nina. The argument was about colorism not beauty. I also have an issue with this: ?The fact that we’re talking about her, that Nina Simone is trending? We f–king won. For so many years, nobody knew who the f–k she was.? People knew about Nina Simone. Don?t take credit for introducing Nina Simone?s story to the world. You didn?t do that.

| Mila Kunis & Ashton are expecting their second kid, Wyatt is 20 months old | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I think Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher chose the wrong evening to announce their second pregnancy. While most of us were focused on The TIDDLES, Mila and Ashton?s reps quietly confirmed her second pregnancy. Unlike Blake Lively?s second pregnancy, my gossip sixth sense was all ?meh? about Mila and Ashton. I had no vibes ahead of time, but maybe that?s because I stopped paying attention to Mila and Ashton? So, yeah, they?re having a second baby.
There?s another baby on the way for Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis! The actors are expecting their second child, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. The couple, who married last July, are already parents to 20-month-old daughter Wyatt Isabelle.
?Ashton genuinely lights up when talking about Wyatt and the little one on the way,? a source close to Kutcher, 38, tells PEOPLE. ?Everything about being a father is natural to him.?
Back in October, the Bad Moms star, 32, shared her excitement about expanding her family, telling Business Insider, ?Yeah! Absolutely, for sure.?
[From People]
It felt like Mila just gave birth, so it?s startling to realize that Wyatt is already 20 months old. While the pregnancy announcement comes as a surprise, overall I?m not surprised that they wanted to have another baby, you know? They seem to be really happy with parenthood and Ashton seems to have settled down quite a bit. Good for them!

| Audrina Patridge on her pregnant body: 'I feel like a woman now' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

We literally have not written about Audrina Patridge in years. That?s not necessarily a slam on her. She?s not building an empire like Lauren Conrad, but Audrina also is not a hot mess like Heidi Montag. Audrina is currently expecting her first kid (a girl) by her fianc Corey Bohan, a professional BMX dirt bike rider. She shows up at events every now and then, but I mostly think that her life is probably pretty low-key. So why cover Audrina?s Fit Pregnancy and Baby magazine interview? I don?t know. I can never predict which celebrity-quotes will set off the mommy wars, so let?s see what we can dig up. Some highlights from Audrina?s interview:
She?s not planning her wedding during her pregnancy: ?It?s a little overwhelming. After I have the baby, I have no idea what size my breasts will be or if my hips will go down or get bigger. So for now dress shopping, at least, is on hold.?
She didn?t want to be a knocked-up bride anyway: ?I didn?t want to rush getting married because stress is bad for the baby. Corey said, ?Stop caring what people think. Their opinions don?t matter.? Anyway, we?ve already been together for so long, it?s like we?re already married. It?s just a title at this point ? and a ring.?
They have made the wedding guest list: “We just finalized the guest list, and it’s about 130 people, mostly family. As far as friends go, we only invited the ones who’ve been there for us in the past year and who will continue to be there for us for the next 30. So, no one from The Hills made the cut. If we were doing a really big wedding, I’d invite them, but we’re keeping it intimate.”
She feels like a woman now: ?There were three or four days during my first trimester when I could not get out of bed and all I wanted to do was sleep. But overall, I?m feeling good! Watching my body transform has been amazing. I feel like a woman now.?
She?s not doing a home birth: ?I?m definitely delivering in a hospital. I?ve had friends who?ve gone without drugs and they?ve said it?s super painful but they?d never do it any other way. Meanwhile, my sister Casey, who has two kids, had an epidural both times and she made childbirth look easy. I?m not sure which route I want to take yet. Either way, I?m a little scared. All I know is, the moment I feel my first contraction, I?m going to the doctor. I want to be in the hospital bed, relaxing, with my lavender-oil diffuser set up.?
[From People]
?Casey, who has two kids, had an epidural both times and she made childbirth look easy?? That?s my kind of competitive-childbirth story. Let?s encourage moms to compete about who had the easiest, most stress-free births instead of all of these God-awful horror stories about home births gone wrong, and wanting to power through childbirth with no drugs after only gaining 5 pounds during your pregnancy. Granted, I haven?t given birth (and I don?t want to), but I respect that Audrina very simply states her preference to give birth in a hospital. Flame war! Home-birthing flame war!
As for ?I feel like a woman now,? I think if Audrina was a different celebrity, she would be getting more shade there. I rolled my eyes and thought ?so pregnancy is what makes someone a ?real woman? now?? But since it?s Audrina Patridge saying it, will there be any yelling?

| Bella Thorne suffers with acne: 'You go out and people think you?re dirty' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Disney alum Bella Thorne has had no problem sharing details of her personal life – be it a run-in with a Hollywood ?mean girl? or her struggles with dyslexia. Heck, she even Snapchatted videos from her colonoscopy on Monday. Now the 18-year-old actress is talking about her skin problems. See, celebrities are just like us… sometimes.
Bella, as part of her work for Burt?s Bees? ?Love Your Nature? campaign, sat down with Popsugar?s Pretty Unfiltered web series to talk about her issues with dermatitis, which she developed during the filming of Amityville Horror. She blames the condition, which looks on the surface like acne, on makeup artists on set who used dirty makeup brushes on her face. Eww. Bella also talked about her new IDGAF perspective on life in the social media age. You can watch the whole interview here:
If you don?t have 8 minutes to watch the whole video, here are some of the highlights:
On the negative stereotypes about acne: “You go out and people think you’re dirty, that you’re, like, disgusting. That you must not take care of yourself because you’re uncleanly because you have acne. But really it’s something that everybody f*cking gets!”
On loving the skin she?s in: “Recently, my sister…we both struggle with trying to get acne taken care of. I was like, ‘Look at this pimple! I have a press day tomorrow, how did this just happen to me?’ and Dani was like, ‘That is a beautiful pimple, Bella. Your face is beautiful. You have beautiful skin. You love your face.?”
Haters gonna hate, and Bella doesn?t care: “In the past three to four months, I’ve really changed. I’ve really become a very different person. I?m really happy I’ve grown into who I’m becoming now and who I will become. And I kinda just changed my whole opinion, which was ‘I don’t give a f*ck.’ I don’t care. You wanna trash me? I don’t care!”
[From Popsugar/Pretty Unfiltered]
Bella also told Popsugar that, as part of her new attitude, she has no problems going out without makeup and posting makeup-free selfies on Instagram. Here’s one from her recent colonoscopy.
Wrapped up extra tight!! Love my fairy god mother @sarajaye212

Here is Bella Thorne displaying plenty of attitude as she channelled her inner rock chick when she stepped out in Los Angeles.
She showed off her enviably taut tum in a plunging lace crop top which she teamed with black skinny jeans torn at the knees and quirky fluffy shoes.
Hopefully she gets nude in that film she’s working on!
