I don’t know what’s gotten into Demi Lovato, but in case you haven’t noticed, she’s been showing off a lot of herself on social media lately (and I do mean, a lot). Maybe she got a new agent or management team or something? Or maybe she just realized that the quickest way to stardom in […]

| Paris Hilton upped her security since getting that $2 million engagement ring | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Paris Hilton got engaged last week, after fianc Chris Zylka presented her with a $2 million, 20-carat diamond engagement ring. Side note: as many commenters have noted, Chris may or may not have laid down the cash for the pricy bauble. Page Six quoted jeweler Michael Greene, who crafted the ring, as saying, ?How it was paid for, I won?t disclose.? And when asked if some sort of promotional deal was made, he demurred, ?Those are the kind of things I wouldn?t talk about.? So, yeah, you can probably expect to see lots of shout-outs to @greeneandco on Paris? Instagram feed. (There are already a bunch of photos of her on their feed.)
Anyway, in light of Kim Kardashian?s Paris robbery, where she was aggressively relieved of a 20-carat ring, and the recent robbery of a million in loot from Paris’s aunt, Kyle Richards’s, home, the bride-to-be isn?t taking any chances. TMZ reports that Paris has upped her security, employing a street clothes-wearing security team to keep their eyes on her and her bling – 24/7.
The security squad was most likely on hand at the Golden Globes Sunday night when Paris showed off her new ring (over lace gloves). Paris’s fiance Chris talked PEOPLE and his engagement, saying ?I?m absolutely thrilled,? adding, ?I met the woman of my dreams and she said, ?Yes.?? Paris gushed ?I?ve never been happier. I found my dream man.?
I don?t know about you, but I would be incredibly uncomfortable walking around with a rock that large on my hand. Not only because it?s just too big, but also for the risk of losing it, especially at the hands of an armed robber. As much as I?m not a fan of Paris, I hope she doesn?t meet the same fate as her aunt and her former BFF.
#Repost @parishilton (@get_repost) ??? I said Yas! ?????? So happy & excited to be engaged to the love of my life. My best friend & soulmate. Perfect for me in every way. So dedicated, loyal, loving & kindhearted. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! You are my dream come true! Thank you for showing me that fairytales do exist.? | #engaged #pearshaped #greeneandco #peardiamond #engagementring

| Gal Gadot didn't respond to James Cameron: 'he was looking for publicity' | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Entertainment Weekly recently named Gal Gadot as one of their Entertainers of the Year. I am totally on board with her inclusion on that list. She carried the hugely successful Wonder Woman and was a big stand out in Justice League. Plus she’s a great ambassador for Wonder Woman. I like Gal, obviously. Right now, I adore her. This was Gal?s year and she knocked it out of the park.
Last Summer, you may remember that director James Cameron had some thoughts on the Wonder Woman film and how Patty Jenkin?s vision did not represent a true symbol of feminism. In fact, Cameron implied that only he represented feminine power correctly. At the time, Patty and former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter responded but Gal didn?t. In her EW interview, Gal explained how she didn?t want to give Cameron?s comments any space because that?s all he was looking for.
EW: Another big headline during your year was that James Cameron criticized the film as an objectified icon, which Patty had some strong feelings about. But I don?t think I?ve seen you weigh in on that?
GG: Because I didn?t want to give him the stage. First of all, I?m a big fan of his work. His movies are great. He was very innovative in many things that he did, and I?ve got nothing but great things to say about the creative and professional side of his work. When it happened, the timing of when it happened, he was promoting another movie of his. It was like he was looking for publicity and I just didn?t want to give him the stage.
[From Entertainment Weekly]
I understand what she?s saying. While I agree that he has made some valuable contributions professionally, I have many problems with Cameron. Yet, even with his colossal ego, it seemed like such a strange time for him to make a grab for the feminist spotlight. I know some of you agreed with his comments about WW and I respect that opinion, that wasn?t what was surprising. It was his insistence on holding himself up as the example of how to portray women. Even if you remove his silly ?strong women can?t be pretty? argument, I think it needed to be factored in that Patty and Gal were presenting a superhero who is iconic to many. They had to balance the expectations of the fans’ perception of Wonder Woman with a modern interpretation. If Cameron intentionally threw WW under the bus for publicity, then I think Gal handled it exactly as she should. I also think by her remaining mum on the subject, the whole thing went away quicker. I look forward to the day when society will allow for all types of female heroes/role models, there’s room for everyone.
As for the rest of the interview, it’s nice. Although Gal gives empty answers when she?d rather not discuss something, she’s always honest. She told a fun story about calling Patty the night the WW review embargo was lifted. Patty had been meditating and didn’t hear about it yet so they both squealed on the phone to each other. Gal completely side-stepped the ?how?d you feel about Justice League sucking? question. (Again, for the record, I really enjoyed Justice League and saw it twice but I do recognize it is a flawed film.) She also talked about hurting her back on the plane to China to promote WW. I missed the fact that Gal got hurt right at the start of the promotion. According to this interview, Gal was in so much pain she couldn?t even sit through the LA premiere. Even worse, she said she couldn?t hold her newborn baby so while the world was celebrating her success, she couldn?t. I hope she celebrates the hell out of Wonder Woman 2?s success to make up for it.

| Vanessa Hudgens in Chanel at a Globes Party: classic or dowdy? | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Vanessa Hudgens, who recently wrapped shooting the comedy Second Act with Jennifer Lopez, channeled Old Hollywood with beau Austin Butler at the InStyle & Warner Bros. Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel after the Golden Globes on Sunday night. The 29-year-old actress was excited about the dress, posting a photo of the gown?s label on Instagram with the caption, “Just the classiest of class.” I kind of like the dress. I do love the white accent stripes but I?m not fond of the flower on the chest and the straps at the neck. I think this would have worked better as a strapless, flower-less dress. She?s definitely got the shoulders to pull that off. I love the pearl drop earrings peeking out from under her bobbed haircut, but I?m not find of the severe bangs. They look bad on Nina Dobrev, and they?re really not working for her either. And, despite her recent post of a photo with a ring on THAT finger, she and Austin are not engaged. Too bad, as they do make a good looking couple.
Shay Mitchell, of Pretty Little Liars fame, wore a lace bodysuit by Dundas. I really didn?t want to say this was tacky, but if the adjective fits….The plunging, sheer number also featured a huge satin sash and bow at the waist. There?s a lot going on here, and none of it is good. The slicked-back hair isn?t doing her any favors either. The whole thing makes her look older than her 30 years. Well, at least her accessories – which included Stella Luna shoes and a Chanel bag – and makeup from Kat Von D?s line were on point. She gave a shout-out to her styling team on Instagram, showing off her glowing face and gorgeous earrings.
Thank you @patrickta @andrewfitzsimons and @chloebartoli for last nights LEWK ? #instyleglobes

Busy Phillips (Kim Kelly 4-eva) rocked a strapless, beaded black gown by Jeffrey Dodd at the In Style post-Golden Globes party on Sunday night. She accessorized with a Adriana Papell clutch. Although Busy’s BFF Michelle Williams brought activist Rosa Alicia Clemente as her date, the two managed to get together for an awards night selfie, which Busy captioned, “Of course we want you to come sit with us.” I would love to sit with these two, they seem like they’d be so much fun.
Of course we want you to come sit with us.

| Miranda Kerr made a slinky Balmain dress into maternity-wear at a Globes party | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos from some of the Golden Globe afterparties, and there were a lot of after-parties. Most people just wore the same outfits they wore to the Globes, but a handful of people (B-listers, C-listers) weren?t invited to the Globes, so they just came out to party and network. And then there were a few who did change clothes, because sure, why not. Here?s Miranda Kerr at the InStyle party – this is actually her first (??) red carpet since announcing her pregnancy in November. I actually forgot she was pregnant. Her maternity dress (??) is Balmain. It?s not cute. And I don?t think this is a maternity dress – I think this is just a stretchy dress and she squeezed into it.
Sam Taylor-Johnson and Aaron Taylor-Johnson actually went to the Globes but no one noticed! Then they went to the Focus Features party. They both wore Givenchy and looked nice.
I find Hailey Baldwin to be one of the oddest of the nepotism models. She has no presence, no ?look,? and she?s even more dead-eyed than Kendall Jenner. Hailey wore DSquared2 to the InStyle party. This is bad.
Diane Kruger changed outfits into this shredded Alexander McQueen look for the InStyle party. This looks like what my kitten has been doing to the toilet paper.
Kate Beckinsale in Alex Perry at the InStyle party? well? I mean, her body is HOT. I wish my body looked like that. But I think so highly of her beauty, I hate to see her looking so obvious and Emily Ratajkowski-esque.
