Stepping out for good food and a great cause, Emmy Rossum and Amber Heard showed up at Greenacres in Beverly Hills on Sunday (September 28) for the Rape Foundation?s Annual Brunch.
The ?Shameless? starlet was all decked out in a sleeveless A-line magenta dress as she posed for photos with Johnny Depp?s soon-to-be-wife, who looked amazing in a nude lace skirt with a simple sheer top.
Emmy and Amber were just two of the many celebrities who showed up to support The Rape Foundation?s fabulous work on behalf of sexual assault victims.
Per the website, ?The Rape Foundation builds upon the experiences of rape victims and sexually abused children to help guide treatment, prevention and education programs. They also work to create policy reform initiatives and raise awareness.?

To be honest, I kind of stopped paying attention to Avril Lavigne once she married that Nickelback douche. That’s not the kind of behavior I want to encourage in our nation’s young hotties. But turns out Avril isn’t so young anymore, because she turned 30 this weekend. And here she is celebrating at some big […]

| Reese Witherspoon covers Vogue: 'I?m a complex human being' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

It took forever and a day for Vogue to release their October cover! Reese Witherspoon is October?s cover girl, and she?s supporting her many projects coming out over the next few months. There?s Good Girl, which she produced. Then there?s The Good Lie, Inherent Vice and Wild, all of which could conceivably be awards contenders. I think Reese and her team are going to make the biggest push for Wild, for a Best Actress nomination. I?m not sure how I feel about that other than? lord, I hope Amy Adams or Julianne Moore win this year. Anyway, you can read the Vogue piece online here and you can see the photoshoot here. Some highlights:
Why she didn?t play Amy in Gone Girl: Two years ago, Witherspoon snapped up the rights to Gillian Flynn?s Gone Girl, initially thinking of herself for the lead, but after she found out that director David Fincher wanted someone ?cool and unapproachable? for the part?it eventually went to Brit Rosamund Pike?she was happy to step aside. ?Whatever I am, I?m not that,? she says with a cackle.
Her two-year-old son Tennessee: ?He?s like a blond version of my husband. He?s so pretty. The older he gets, the more and more he looks like him. So cute.?
Being included on a Forbes list of actors who weren?t worth their paychecks: ?And there I was thinking I was reading about Ben Stiller! Thank God their articles are so long. I was on page six. Nobody can have got that far.?
Rebooting her career: ?It?s not that the roles dried up. They just weren?t as dynamic or as interesting as anything I felt I could do.? One A-list director she won?t name refused to see her for a part because he said she was too ??Southern and sweet and huge.? I was like, ?All right, back to the drawing board.? ? If the roles she wanted were not coming to her, she would create them for herself. ?When people underestimate me, it?s actually a comfortable place for me. ?Oh, that?s what you think I am; well, no, I?m not.? I?m a complex human being. I have many different shades.?
[From Vogue]
She spends most of the time talking about and promoting Wild, but I was surprised to see some quotes from Paul Thomas Anderson (who directed her in Inherent Vice) in the piece as well. I think with all of this shilling ? and with Reese?s husband Jim Toth, who is a power player at CAA ? Reese will definitely get an Oscar nomination this year. But I personally hope she doesn?t win.
Also ? Vogue didn?t ask her about her drunk, backtalking, AMERICAN CITIZEN arrest at all. Weird, right? I mean, Vogue would have been the perfect venue to discuss the arrest and what she learned and put it into some kind of perspective. But they didn?t even ask her.

| Brad Pitt covers GQ UK: 'I guess maybe I?m more of a miserable bastard' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Wow! This is a great cover, right? I generally like Brad and I?ve grown to really respect him, but I usually don?t feel like ?OMG Brad Pitt UNF? towards him. But I?m feeling some hotness pangs towards him with this GQ UK cover and shoot. Lovely. Brad covers British GQ because he?s promoting Fury. Most of his quotes about Fury and his career, but he does give away a little bit about his marriage. I guess this interview was done just after the wedding? Some highlights:
On marriage: “I wouldn’t say [marriage is] just a title. There’s more to it than that.”
On what he thinks his friend George Clooney meant when he recently called Pitt “unreachable”: “Well, you know, George is extremely accessible. He’s one of our best representatives. He’s funny as sh-t. He’s a joy to be around. I guess maybe I’m more of a miserable bastard. [laughs]. I’m a bit of a loner you know? I’m more quiet by nature. And coming from, you know, hillbilly country, I’m probably more reserved.”
On choosing work: “I’m actually very snobbish about directors. I have to say no all the time. ‘No’ is the most powerful word in our business. You’ve got to protect yourself? To leave home, it’s got to be worth leaving. It’s got to be worth it.”
On Shia Labeouf and his commitment to acting: “Oh, I love this boy. He’s one of the best actors I’ve ever seen. He’s full-on commitment, man. He’s living it like no one else, let me tell you. I’ve been fortunate to work with a lot of great actors. He’s one of the best I’ve seen.”
On purposefully slowing down his acting career: “I’ve been slowing down for a while now. And slowly transitioning to other things. And, truthfully, I do want to spend more time with my kids before they’re grown up and gone.”
On considering a TV role: “They’re doing great stuff on television. And we [Plan B] have a few television ideas ourselves. So yes, I’d love to do one.”
On not being on Twitter: “Listen, I see a benefit in it. You could, you know, combat the misconceptions of the misquotes immediately. And if I’d have had that in my younger days, I’d have used it? because I felt quite used, and completely misunderstood, and misread, and not given the benefit of the doubt. You know, I felt that a lot in my first years. I would have brought some logic to the table, and brought it immediately. But now, at this point, I don’t want to bother with it.”
On whether he’s happy: “I’ve always believed happiness is overrated, you know? It’s those difficult times that inform the next wonderful time, and it’s a series of trade-offs, of events, of wins and losses.”
[From GQ UK]
The thing about it is? Clooney also comes from hillbilly country, doesn?t he? George grew up in Kentucky and Brad grew up in Missouri. Both men have Southern/midwestern sensibilities which manifest in different ways. And yeah, Brad probably has no interest in participating in George?s ?Chairman of the Board? shtick in real life. But make no mistake ? Brad is a significant power player in his own right. I tend to think that these days, Brad is one of the most powerful actor-producers in Hollywood.
As for the Shia stuff? that?s a good example of Brad?s power. Brad could have singlehandedly crippled Shia?s career by badmouthing Shia in the interview. But Brad stands up for him, and now Shia will probably get to still have a career. Brad also told a long-winded story about how he and Shia got pissed off at Scott Eastwood for dipping (chewing tobacco) while filming. The moral of Brad?s story is that Shia and Brad were just on edge and Scott was actually doing something that was in the script.

Man, as much as I love to rag on Kim Kardashian, I’ve got to give credit where credit’s due: she may be a chubby, annoying, fame-hungry porn star, but she definitely knows how to dress. Here she is out during Paris Fashion Week, and all I know is, if more moms dressed like this to […]

| George Clooney & Amal Alamuddin's first married-couple photos: lovely' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Yay! The first married photos of Mr. and Mrs. George Clooney. George and Amal stepped out on Sunday, the day after their Venice wedding. They were leaving the Aman Canal Grande Hotel, which I guess is where they spent their first night together as a married couple. Amal?s gorgeous hair looks a little bit? well, she doesn?t look blow-out perfect, let?s say that. According to People Mag, Amal and George were headed to the Belmond Hotel Cipriani for a post-wedding brunch with guests.
My general vibe: Amal looks really happy. And George looks like his back hurts. So, it was a successful wedding night! I can?t say I love Amal?s married-lady style though. This dress is so short and stiff!! It looks like something Duchess Kate would pick out for herself so she could flash everybody. As for the wedding, there are some assorted details that we can discuss:
*The actual wedding had George and Amal standing on ?a podium in front of a large wall of white candles.?
*The venue was ?decorated with white flowers, including tiny roses, lilies and carnations as well as hundreds of additional hand-crafted flickering candles.? The music: disco and jazz ?from bands like Blondie, Jackson 5, Amy Winehouse, and Daft Punk.?
*Every guest got a ?bag of goodies? which ?included a wedding weekend itinerary, suggestions for what to do, and yes, rules for the big day.? No cell photos allowed. The guests all got an iPod and speaker with George and Amal?s personalized playlist.
*George and Amal arranged for drinks, piano entertainment and food for their guests at the Cipriani for Friday.
*The reception food: ? Guests then feasted on lobster, lemon risotto, and fried polenta with mushrooms.?
*As their guests prepared to leave Venice, ?Clooney and Alamuddin gifted everyone with a framed picture of themselves.? Each guest also received a short note/letter reading: ?We’re both so glad you’re here. You’ve come a long way so we’ll make it worth the trip. Thanks for being here. It means the world to us.”
[From Us Weekly & E! News]
I love the menu! I bet George and Amal had a real cake too (please, let the eat a real cake). I also love that the guests got a photo of George and Amal because that?s just cla$$y.

So I’m guessing that there must’ve been some kind of big UFC fight over the weekend, because we’ve got pictures of my two favorite ring girlsArianny Celeste and Brittany Palmer today, and last I checked, it wasn’t my birthday.
