Personally, I don?t think the Queen ever *disliked* the Duchess of Cambridge. I think the Queen questioned Kate?s work ethic pre-marriage and post-marriage, absolutely, but the Queen has always been generally sort of fond of Kate. We can see now, in retrospect, how the Queen and the palace courtiers really coddled Kate for years, especially in comparison to the treatment the Duchess of Sussex got in her first two years with the Firm. But according to Katie Nicholl who is a Middleton hagiographer the Queen has only recently become close to Kate.
The Duchess of Cambridge has a very easy relationship with the Queen and is expected to join the royal family at Sandringham this year, a royal commentator has claimed. Kate Middleton, 37, who tied the knot to Prince William in 2011, is thought to have developed a stronger bond with the monarch since the birth of her three children Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, one.
?Both women are actually quite shy so it?s taken time for them to get to this stage, but they have a very easy relationship now they?ve both made the effort, said royal commentator Katie Nicholl, speaking to OK! The Queen loves seeing Kate because its an opportunity to spend time with her and hear how her great grandchildren are doing.
She went on to say Kate has a made a conscious effort to make the Queen feel as involved as possible in the childrens lives. Katie also told how the Duchess of Cambridge is expected to attend the royal family gathering at Sandringham this year.
The reports come after Buckingham Palace confirmed Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan Markle, 38, will not be spending Christmas at Sandringham. A spokesman revealed they will instead spend the festive season with Meghans mother Doria Ragland and their baby son, Archie, at an undisclosed location.
I imagine that spending Christmas at Sandringham with her grandchildren and great grandchildren will be something she?s very much looking forward to, she said. So Kate and William are doing the dutiful thing and putting the royal family first.

Unlike those years that they didn?t put the royal family first and they went to Bucklebury to spend the Christmas holiday with the Middletons, but why even bring that up when the Sussexes will be spending Christmas away from Sandringham this year?! The comparison is clear and obvious: Kate is a dutiful Future Queen because she isn?t going to Bucklebury for Christmas this year, and the Sussexs are anti-royal, anti-Queen because they are doing what Will & Kate did several times. As for Kate making a conscious effort to include the Queen in the lives of the Cambridge kids? Prince Charles literally had to publicly shame William and Kate into letting him spend time with his grandkids, so? this narrative is probably going to change once the Cambridges understand that Shadow King Charles is in charge, you know?

Jane Fonda is organizing Fire Drill Fridays and getting arrested. Maggie Gyllenhaal joined the fight against climate change because of her daughter. Another celebrity whos been involved in this crucial work is Emma Thompson. She spoke at an Extinction Rebellion protest last week, delivering a pointed warning about climate change in the form of a mock weather forecast:
Emma Thompson issued a stark warning about the climate crisis, suggesting that conditions may become so dire that people will eat their pets for protein.
The actor delivered a mock weather forecast outside BBC Broadcasting House at an Extinction Rebellion protest in London, where she outlined the gloomy projections, a Daily Mail video shows.
Climate crisis trends show an increased chance of warmer, wetter winters and hotter, dryer summers, along with an increase of frequency and intensity of extremes, she said. Better wrap up warm, stockpile food and remember there is a surprising amount of protein in the average household pet.
Standing in front of two maps that showed areas of the U.K. that are at risk of flooding by 2030, the climate activist warned if temperatures continued to rise in the country there could be a catastrophe.
Looking ahead, we are on course to sail past our 1.5 degree centigrade target, putting us on track for long-lasting and irreversible change, the 60-year-old continued.

Emma has been working with Extinction Rebellion for a while now. Satire often gets people to pay attention: People wont necessarily care when they hear about the possibility of hotter, dryer summers: If summers are already hot and dry, who really cares if they get more hot and more dry? On the other hand, people will be more likely to pause to listen when someone suggests that beloved pets can be a great source of protein, because they will want to figure out what the heck the person is talking about, realizing that, surely, surely, someone wasnt being serious about eating Spot. But that ridiculous, horrific thought might make them think more seriously about climate change and its repercussions. Im grateful to Emma, to Jane, to Jason, and to Greta for the work they are doing, but Im still waiting to see what tangible steps leaders are going to take in the face of protests and dire warnings from the scientific community about how were fast reaching a tipping point that we wont be able to recover from.

Hilary Duff has a new profile in Womens Health and Im sorry to Hecate for covering it! She usually covers Hilary, plus I know she would have something to say about Hilary loving wine. Hilary has been lifting weights recently and so she talked about how much she enjoys that and how it makes her lean, not bulky. Shes also been counting macros with the help of a dietician and that has helped her to lose weight without feeling deprived. I love talking about workouts and dieting hence me covering this story.
Hilary Duff used to avoid heavy lifting in the gym?but these days, the Younger and Lizzie McGuire star is changing her tune. The 32-year-old mom of Luca, 7, and Banks, 13 months says she swears by bodybuilding workouts after giving birth to her daughter with fianc Matthew Koma in 2018.
?I was thinking I don?t need to do heavy weights because if I do heavy weights I?ll bulk up,? she tells Women?s Health. ?I tend to build muscle fast.?
But Hilary says she now sees the error of her ways: ?I?m lifting and squatting and using a barbell with lots of weight on it, and I?ve never felt so strong but lean,? she says.
In fact, the actress no longer does cardio workouts, noting that they tend to make her tired and hungry. Plus, now that shes chasing around two kids under the age of eight, she doesn?t have much time to waste. ?This is such a different, more efficient way of working out,? she adds.
Another game-changer in her health and fitness regimen has been working with a flexible dieting coach. Her coach customizes a weekly menu for her based on the things she normally likes to have (wine and chocolate-covered almonds are just two of her faves). ?He basically counts your macros for you?and it?s been amazing because it?s basically like a mathematical equation that I just follow, and it?s been really successful for me,? Hilary says.
She?s seen solid results just by being more mindful about what shes eating and when. Before working with the coach and evaluating her daily intake of carbs and healthy fats, ?I had no idea how much I was eating throughout the day, snacking,? she says. ?I lost 10 pounds and I was not starving myself, and just eating things that I like and being more conscious.
Hilary says her new eating habits and workout routine work for her because nothing is off-limits. I?m the first person to be like, I hate when you tell me what to do. The second someone tells me ?You can?t have wine,? I?m like, ?I want all the wine,?? she says. ?It?s been cool to retrain my mind and figure out that this works. I can eat normally and live normally and enjoy food, but still get the results I?m looking for.?

I dont drink anymore, but Im like this with sugar and sweets. I wouldnt want to be in a world where I couldnt eat sugar, but in reality I should probably cut way back for my health. Plus I can get super grumpy when my blood sugar drops. Ive never counted macros but due to my sugar and carb addiction I probably should. Like Hilary Ive been lifting weight lately, although I still do a lot of cardio because I love it. Building muscle has made me more hungry and Ive gained a little weight, but it hasnt made my clothes fit tighter or anything. This reminds me that Hilary used to date her personal trainer, a guy named Jason Walsh who owns the Rise Nation gyms. (He trains a lot of celebrities because Ive also seen him in YouTube videos explaining how he got celebrities fit for movies.) He and Hilary broke up at the end of 2016, which makes me wonder if she had to find a new gym/trainer after that. She had a rebound relationship with Matthew Koma, they moved to New York, got engaged and had a baby with him. I just watched her Instagram stories and she has a video where shes putting Zicam up her fiances nose. It was so gross but shes an oversharer like that.
How cute is her baby?! Little Banks was born in October, 2018. She also has son Luca, 7, with her ex Mike Comrie.
Hilary sure gets papped a lot for her level of fame.

Last week, the musical Jagged Little Pill opened on Broadway. Alanis Morissette also announced that she is going on tour with Liz Phair and Garbage in celebration of the albums 25th anniversary next year. Alanis is giving interviews, and she visited Watch What Happens Live where she gave an interesting answer to a fans question about a long-circulating rumor:
Alanis Morissette has confirmed that she wasn?t allowed to make direct eye contact with Vanilla Ice while touring with him in the early 1990s.
The ?You Oughta Know? singer who recently announced she?s about to embark on a series of anniversary shows appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where she was asked by a fan what her favourite part about opening for the rapper was all those years ago.
They also quizzed her on whether there was any truth to the rumour that the ?Ice Ice Baby? hitmaker wasn?t keen on his support act looking at him backstage.
?Yeah, I mean a lot of artists are overwhelmed by incredible, large amounts of stimuli, and I think me looking at him would have overstimulated him, so I just averted my eyes,? Morissette explained, as Cohen laughed: ?That is the best answer ever.?

Yikes. Id forgotten about that rumor, tbh, but I really love the way that Alanis answered the question. Rather than flat-out saying, Yeah, I wasnt allowed to look at him, she tried to be kinder and gave an answer that attempted to offer a reason: artists tend to be overwhelmed by stimuli, and then claimed the power in that dynamic for herself. As someone who gets overwhelmed when Im surrounded by a lot of people, I can understand not wanting to be stared at constantly, but come on: You find ways to deal with that, and you dont act like a power-hungry d-ck by banning people from looking at you, especially your opening act. Alanis is the one with the musical thats getting rave reviews and the anniversary tour, so shes probably not broken up about it. Vanilla Ice has a long-running renovation show on the DIY network called The Vanilla Ice Project. No shame in that and he seems to have gotten over his issue with people looking at him.
