These are some shots from Natalie Portman?s latest Dior fragrance campaign. They were released last week, I think, but I just never got around to using them in a post. Some of the shots are really spectacular, right? I love the photo of Natalie in the Pink dress, and this woman does closeups really, really well. Even if some of the closeups are kind of bitch-faced. For the record, I think Natalie just has a ?natural bitchface? ? she just looks kind of pissed off naturally.
Anyway, Natalie?s life has changed dramatically over the past few years. She fell in love with a ballet dancer, she got pregnant, she won an Oscar, she gave birth, she got married, and the whole time, Natalie seems to have been conscious of her career. She just filmed Knight of Cups with Christian Bale, and she?s currently filming the Thor sequel. Plus she has three films in preproduction, according to IMDB. But according to sources close to Natalie, she?s desperate to scale back her career? Hm?
Raising 15-month-old son Aleph is a full-time job for newlyweds Natalie Portman, 31, and Benjamin Millepied, 35.
“Natalie is being superchoosy about her projects and taking more time off from acting,” says a source.
The break from work definitely suits Portman. “She has this glow about her these days,” says the source. “There’s been a change in her since the little man arrived. She and Benjamin are so content.”
The happy family-of-three were photographed enjoying a relaxing beach vacation in Turks and Caicos last week. The trip may have been a delayed honeymoon for the couple, who tied the knot Aug. 4.

If she wants to take time off, then she should take time off. I often wonder if actors feel like they don?t have anything to ?prove? anymore after they win an Oscar. But Natalie is so young, and she?s considered one of the great actresses of her generation, so of course she?s going to get sent lots of lots of scripts, and of course many of them will be kind of crappy. I think her being ?super-choosy? is more about the sheer volume of scripts she receives, as opposed to her being such an earth mother, but who knows? All I know is that actresses filming five films back-to-back probably shouldn?t pay lip service to ?taking time off?.
By the way, Natalie was on vacation last week ? she and Benjamin finally went on their honeymoon! They went to Turks and Caicos. And they brought little Aleph with them. So, less like a honeymoon and more like a really nice family vacation.

I know, it?s not like so many of you cared about this story to begin with, but I have an update on the whole ?Is Pippa Middleton?s ass of lies trying to steal Chelsea Handler?s boyfriend?? situation. The update is two-fold: one, Chelsea (or her people) confirmed to Page Six this morning that Chelsea and Andre Balazs are OVER, which means that when Andre and Pippa Middleton were spending all of that time together a few weeks ago, it was actually ON. Like, Pippa and Andre might have been hooking up or dating or something. Anyway, here?s Page Six?s Chelsea story. I rolled my eyes a few times:
Chelsea Handler ? who?s known for writing about her drunken sexual exploits in best sellers including ?My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands? ? will riff on the kinky ?Fifty Shades of Grey? phenomenon with her latest, which we hear is called ?50 Shades of Chartreuse: This Time It?s Personal.?
Sources tell Page Six the ?Chelsea Lately? host signed a seven-figure deal for the book with a title poking fun at the E L James trilogy, at the same time she?s upgrading her studio for her E! show by moving into Universal?s digs for the failed ?The Tonight Show With Conan O?Brien? experiment.
Handler?s currently single, we?re told, after splitting with high-flying hotelier Andr Balazs. But it?s unclear whether her new book will catalog their on/off relationship.
The tome?s scheduled to hit bookshelves in October 2013. Handler?s rep declined to comment on the deal with Grand Central Publishing.
Handler?s also written the boozy books ?Are You There Vodka? It?s Me, Chelsea? and ?Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang.? A watered-down TV series based on ?Vodka,? called ?Are You There, Chelsea?? was canceled in May. Handler said, ?I can?t just throw my name on something and hope everybody gets it.?
Meanwhile, Handler?s moving her ?Lately? studio to better and larger digs on the Universal lot, and will broadcast her first show from the revamped studio Oct. 15.
The new studio, part of a $25 million deal signed in November to extend ?Chelsea Lately? on E! until 2014, will hold about 250 audience members, up from 75 at the previous studio, and house an adjoining space to film other Handler projects.
While Handler handles business, Balazs was heavily on the prowl in New York City last week during Fashion Week. At the opening of Chez Andr, Andr Saraiva?s pop-up club in the Standard East Village, Balazs was spotted ?flirting with every girl in the room,? says a spy. ?He was dancing with all the women and lost his balance and fell into another girl, at one point, who had to prop him up.?

I?ve heard a lot of gossip about Chelsea and Andre?s on-and-off relationship over the past few years, and from what I can see, they were both utter messes when they together. And Chelsea really, really loved being Andre?s girlfriend, she loved the status and legitimacy it gave her. So? I?ve got to wonder what happened there. I?m sure it was something fascinating, no joke.
As for Chelsea?s book plans? whatever. I think it?s kind of gross and weird that this ?50 Shades? crap is ?inspiring? so many knockoffs and cross-promotional gear, and by ?parodying? the 50 Shades franchise, Chelsea just seems cheap, like she?s going for low-hanging fruit, you know? But what else would we expect from a 37-year-old (LOL) party girl?

Yesterday, Blake Lively returned to the New York set of Gossip Girl. After Blake?s publicist slammed People Mag for their cover lie (?People was there!? ? at her wedding), I kind of assumed that Blake would be on lockdown, that she would only be doing the big reveal to Martha Stewart Weddings, and that all of the pap agencies and weekly tabloids would just have to suck it. Not so much, as it turns out. Blake made sure she was photographed in a lovey embrace with her new husband (in photos that were taken after their wedding in South Carolina and released yesterday), all while flashing her enormous engagement ring and wedding band. Ryan went to jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, and according to Schwartz?s spokesperson, ?Ryan chose Lorraine Schwartz to help him find a flawless, light Pink oval diamond. They worked together to design a custom setting in rose gold and pave diamonds with a nod to deco.” Reportedly, the ring cost somewhere in the vicinity of $2 million. It?s a pretty ring? it?s not my particular style, but I like that it doesn?t look like everybody else?s engagement ring, you know? I think her wedding band is pretty too.
Oh, and we?ve found out more about the dress too. Blake wore ?a one-of-kind couture Marchesa bridal gown with hand-draped silk tulle bodice adorned with crystal and rose gold embroidery.? Something about the idea of a Marchesa creation with ?hand-draped silk tulle? makes me wonder if Blake?s wedding gown resembled a toga. No judgment. If she wanted to wear a toga on her wedding day, God bless.
Last Blake news? she and Ryan honeymooned in Virginia! They were only a few hours away from me. I totally should have crashed their honeymoon (?HEY Y?ALL!?). They stayed at Virginia?s Inn at Little Washington ? you can read more here.

Reese Witherspoon has been having such a cute pregnancy this time around. I know that seems like a really vapid and superficial statement, but it?s still true. Reese has looked adorable during this, her third pregnancy. I remember her second pregnancy ? she was still really cute, but I have strong memories of her looking rather miserable. I think she?s enjoying it more this time around, in her 30s, with a husband she trusts. Anyway, these are some cute bump photos of Reese yesterday in Brentwood. I don?t know when she?s due exactly, but I?m pretty sure it?s soon. Maybe not a Virgo baby, but a Libra baby is looking pretty good. We?ll see! Twilight fans, take note: Reese Witherspoon’s Ojai., Calif., ranch ? the same secluded home where heartbroken Robert Pattinson escaped to after Kristen Stewart cheated on him ? is up for sale.
Witherspoon’s ranch, which is selling for $10 million, is also full of happy memories ? for Witherspoon. It’s where the actress tied the knot with her husband Jim Toth in front of family and friends, including Robert Downey Jr., Sean Penn, Rene Zellweger and Scarlett Johansson.
The house sits on 7 acres of land and includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a pool, stables, an organic garden and a carriage house, according to the real estate listing on Zillow.com.
The home was featured in a recent issue of Elle Decor, where Witherspoon said, “[Libbey Ranch] reminds me of growing up in Tennessee, where we spent all day outside. I wanted my children to have that experience, to get muddy and hang out with the animals.”
And Witherspoon isn’t the only famous person to have owned the home. According to Zillow, Ghostbusters actor and director Harold Ramis also owned the home previously, as did designer and model Kathy Ireland.

I really don?t get why she?s selling it? Is she poor? No, she?s not. She can afford to keep both places. Maybe she just doesn?t have the time to enjoy her second home anymore. I?m kind of surprised that Hayden Panettiere has managed to find a way to stick around Hollywood, maintaining her name-recognition celebrity status (to a certain degree) while avoiding most major scandal-pitfalls. Like, has Hayden ever been arrested for a DUI? No, she hasn?t. But I think she?s been arrested while protesting for animal rights. So maybe that?s how she?s been able to maintain some kind of credibility ? she actually cares about stuff other than ?being famous for being famous? and ?going clubbing with Lindsay Lohan?. Anyway, Hayden got herself another TV show ? she?s costarring in Nashville, opposite Connie Britton, who is the lead of the show. It?s a chance for Hayden to shine as supporting character, doing strong dramatic work against one of the finest television actresses out there today. Will she be able to handle it?
So Hayden is on the cover of Women?s Health to promote her new show. She ends up talking about body image, diet and exercise, of course. And she claims she got body dysmorphia from a tabloid.
Growing up in the spotlight hasn’t always been easy for Hayden Panettiere. When she was just 16 years old, a tabloid magazine published a photo of the Heroes star’s backside with the word “cellulite” plastered across the image.
“I was mortified,” the Nashville actress, now 23, tells the October issue of Women’s Health. “It gave me such body dysmorphia for so long. But I remember reminding myself that beauty is an opinion, not a fact. And it has always made me feel better.”
Even so, Panettiere’s profession has made the 5-foot-1 actress keenly aware of how her body looks on camera. To stay in shape, Panettiere regularly takes the stairs and often attends Bikram yoga classes. And though she loves eating healthy foods like egg whites and strawberries, the Whaleman Foundation spokeswoman doesn’t follow a particular diet. “Eating healthy is a constant battle. I love chips,” Panettiere tells the magazine. “I find when I’m overly concerned about what I eat, I stress out my body and put on weight.”
Perhaps most importantly, Panettiere says she looks her best when she feels her best.
“People can tell when you’re happy with being you and when you’re not. It’s only cheesy because it’s true,” she tells Women’s Health. “As I’ve gotten older and grown into my body, I’ve started realizing that the way you carry yourself and that light coming out of your eyes are the most attractive things about you.”

I know what she means, and I am sympathetic (I have cellulite? as do most women). But I feel like she?s being kind of ditzy about it, like ?I got body dysmorphia from seeing my body criticized in a magazine once!? She might have actually had a body dysmorphic disorder, but I think it?s disingenuous for her to say that she had the disorder (?for so long?) because of one tabloid?s awful criticism once. It?s a serious issue, and I think Hayden is using ?body dysmorphia? when she means ?I felt really bad about myself and it gave me a complex about my legs and I dealt with it over time, and body-snarking sucks.?

I know Gwyneth Paltrow has some defenders, but every time this woman opens her mouth, I just can?t help but find her insufferable. If she?s not deigning to tell the peasants how to live, she?s saying idiotic things like ?I?d rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a can? or telling a fatty just how disappointed she is that they don?t met her skinny standards. The kicker, I think, is that Gwyneth seems to think she?s a world-class ?foodie? AND that she?s all about health. To which I say: it?s not healthy to detox as much as she does. Gwyneth seems to be ?on a detox? every other month, and Gwyneth has admitted that her dieting and detoxing has left her physically weak and vitamin-deficient. What?s my point? Goop is full of it. She?s not the grand lifestyle/food/fashion expert that she thinks she is.
So what?s Goop?s latest BS? She only allows her kids to watch television in French or Spanish. Ugh, Goop. For the love of?
It’s no secret that Gwyneth Paltrow flies the flag for healthy living. But it seems her outlook on life has gone a little far as she projects strict parenting on her children. The Talented Mr Ripley actress has revealed that she only allows eight-year-old daughter Apple, and son Moses, six, to watch television in French or Spanish instead of their native English.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, the mother-of-two said Apple was ‘cross’ as ‘I only let them watch TV in French or Spanish’.
She added: ‘When I’m in France, I go to [Boulevard] Beaumarchais and buy all their cartoons.’
The 39-year-old also spoke about her own draconian diet, and while she has eased the macrobiotic lifestyle, she still considers a cheese-topped French stick and glass of wine to be ‘indulging’.
Gwyneth said: ‘I was very strict for a while, I was macrobiotic for a couple of years, then I got pregnant and just ate ice cream. What I’ve learned is that I want to enjoy my life, and food is a big part of it. I love to cook and feed people. I cook every day. My indulging is a fresh baguette with cheese and a glass of red wine or french fries and fried zucchini. Or a turkey burger.’
During the interview, which was conducted by designer Diane von Furstenberg, the Oscar-winner also touched on her marriage to Chris Martin and hinted why it is still going strong after nine years. She credited their friendship as the ‘easiest’ thing between them, saying they laugh a lot and share the same taste in music, before bravely discussing the hardships too.
Highlighting their differences, Gwyneth said: ‘Probably our artistic temperaments. Artists are sensitive; there are ups and downs mood-wise. Musicians need a certain gravitas and focus in order to write. The temperament that goes with someone who is creative can be challenging.’
She added: ‘I focus more on understanding than being understood.’
And it seems Gwyneth may even let off a little steam in the therapist’s office, as when the blonde was asked why she continues to work so hard having already achieved such a high level of success, it was unclear if she was joking when she quipped: ‘You can call my shrink on that one.’
She continued: ‘The positive thing… is curiosity and momentum. The negative is a need to validate myself or feel special.’

For the TV-only-in-French or Spanish thing? I mean, I understand what she?s trying to do. I?ve read those studies too ? kids? brains are like sponges, and it?s much easier for a child to pick up another language than it would be for the average adult. But instead of sounding like a pro-education advocate, Goop just sounds holier-than-thou, like she despises your peasant children who watch TV in (gasp!) English. I would love to force Goop to watch a few hours of Honey Boo Boo. I think her body would simply reject the experience.
As for the quotes about her marriage? weird. ?Musicians need a certain gravitas and focus in order to write. The temperament that goes with someone who is creative can be challenging.? It feels like she?s misusing the word ?gravitas? but maybe that?s just me. I also think this quote is particularly interesting: ?I focus more on understanding than being understood.? It makes me think the marriage is all about HIM. His moods, his temperament, understanding HIM, his gravitas (?).
In other Goop news, she was named by People Magazine as their ?Best Dressed Woman? of 2012. Goop deigned to allow her stylist (!) to speak to People about what amazing style Goop has. While I like some of Goop?s styles, I do think her consistently bad makeup-application and her constant insistence on flat-ironing her too-blonde hair should be reason enough to exclude her from any fashion lists. Last thing ? Goop was just named the newest face of Max Factor. Kind of downmarket and peasanty for Goop, right? She used to represent Estee Lauder several years ago. Interesting that she got another beauty contract.

An earlier report said Amanda Bynes has been acting crazy, constantly talking to herself and laughing at nothing. This new report isn’t going to help those rumors.
Bynes was shopping in West Hollywood atboutiquestore Kin on Monday where she locked herself in the dressing room for almost 2 hours to try on clothes.
Employees say they heard banging from the dressing room every 10 minutes. Worried, one employee called another who drove to the store to try and get Amanda out. Amanda told them, “I need more time.”
Amanda finally came out at 5:30 PM, went to the register and paid for a pair ofstilettos, sunglasses and a few other things. On her way out, she saw photogs and asked the clerk to call her a cab. The employee was heard saying,”I was so worried about her. I didn’t know what she was doing in [the dressing room]. I didn’t know if she was overdosing, or doing drugs or what.”
Oh, please. I’m sure there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for this. Like, she could have spilled her bong water everywhere and tried to clean it up or she could have smoked out beforehand, got sleepy and decided to take a nap or any other possible scenario involving weed.

Getting closer and closer to the due date for her third child, Reese Witherspoon showed no signs of slowing down as she was spotted out and about in Brentwood, CA on Monday afternoon (September 17).
The "Water For Elephants" actress was a casual beauty in a blue shirt dress, fedora, and aviator sunglasses while happily making her way out of a friend's house after a quick visit.
The week-beginning outing comes amidst just-released reports telling that Reese decided to put her Ojai, CA ranch on the market - with the move coming not long after she lent the pad to "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson following the revelation of then-girlfriend Kristen Stewart's unfaithfulness.
According to a report by E! News, the 36-year-old actress' realtor, Billy Rose, says the nine-bedroom, seven-bath home (which is listed for a pricey $10 million and about 45 minutes outside of Los Angeles) is "unbelievably magical."
"It just teleports you to another time and another era," said Rose. "It's got this grand but elegant presence."

Nearing the end of their Diamond Jubilee tour, Prince William and Kate Middleton were back on the move as they departed Solomon Islands on Tuesday (September 18).
The Duchess of Cambridge looked darling as she joined locals during a short "leaving ceremony" at the Honiara International airport before boarding a private aircraft en route to Tuvalu.
The travels come as Italian magazine Chi published more photos of Miss Middleton sunbathing in the south of France on Monday - despite the breach of privacy lawsuit against French magazine, Closer, who originally published the topless pictures.
Attorneys for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appeared in a French court seeking fines and an injunction from further dissemination of the photos by Closer, but their efforts may be fruitless. Any fines in Europe for breaching privacy would be far less than what the periodicals would likely gain from sales. Though attorneys for the royal couple have also asked France to look into criminally prosecuting the photographers.
According to the Associated Press, the royals' lawyer, Aurelien Hamelle, told the French court Monday that he is seeking ?5,000 ($6,550) in damages from Closer and an injunction forcing the magazine to stop publishing the issue with the photos. He also asked the court to fine Closer ?10,000 ($13,100) a day for each day the injunction is not respected, and ?100,000 ($131,000) if the photos are sold. However, a representative from Italian publishing group, Mondadori, which owns both Closer and Chi, told the court that the photos do not belong to them. "The photos are out there. If a TV show wants to show an image of this (magazine) edition, it's got nothing to do with us," she said. The court is expected to rule on Tuesday.
Despite the battle on the mainland, Irish newspaper The Daily Star published two pages of the photos on Saturday. The backlash caused the editor of the magazine to be suspended. After the nine photos were published, the palace issued a statement saying, "There can be no motivation for this action other than greed. Any such publication would serve no purpose other than to cause further, entirely unjustifiable upset to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who were enjoying time alone together in the privacy of a relative's home.?
The spokeswoman declined to comment on further legal plans, stating, "We will not be commenting on potential legal action concerning the alleged intended publication of the photos in Italy save to say that all proportionate responses will be kept under review.?
Meanwhile, the Italian gossip rag fears no repercussions since the photos had already first been seen in Closer. Unfortunately for Wills and Kate, in the age of the internet, the photos are already widely available to anyone with a computer.

A day after co-hosting the ALMA Awards, Eva Longoria is back to work taking care of business outside of California State University in Northridge, California today (September 17).

When Tyra Banks was 11, she was bullied in school for losing 30 lbs and growing 3 inches. Oh no, a girl made fun of for being tall and skinny. That must have really hurt. She told HuffPost Live.
When I was 11 years old, I grew three inches and lost 30 pounds in three months. So I went from being a mean bully, cute little chubby little girl to shooting up, [weighing] 98 pounds and just looking sick and frail. I wasn’t sick, but people thought there was something wrong with me. I was the brunt of every joke, every bad thing. I hated my reflection in the mirror. I would try to stuff food down my throat to gain weight. Nothing would work. I lived at the hospital with needles in my arms trying to figure out what was wrong with me.
To this day, she still lives with self-esteem issues.
Even though I later gained weight and became a supermodel, that girl always lived inside of me and I know what that felt like. Then to become a supermodel with all of this hair and makeup and glamour… Then I start projecting images that I know make my 11-year-old self insecure, I felt like I had and still have a responsibility to tell the truth and to talk about my pains, my issues. So my passion is girls and self-esteem.
It doesn’t sound like Tyra was physically bullied. Probably because it would be hard to do considering the bullies would have started wheezing after chasing her for just a few feet. I’m assuming her bullies were all fat and jealous since Tyra (up top) was a skinny girl with big tits.
