She?s never been one to play by the rules, and when Hayden Panettiere wore a Tom Ford gown to the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 12) she raised a few eyebrows.
The ?Nashville? starlet actually purchased the dress rather than having the designer lend it to her, as is usually the custom.
And since Naomi Watts was the only celebrity who received her wardrobe from Ford, himself, Hayden received plenty of flak from the press.
When asked who she was wearing, Panettiere explained, "Tom Ford. It's the first time I've ever worn him, because I've been begging...I feel sexy in it, I feel comfortable in it, and I'm in Tom Ford. I would wear a plastic bag if it was designed by him."
From there, journalist Jim Shi posted a snarky comment via Twitter- "Tom Ford confirms to me he ONLY dressed #NaomiWatts tonight. Hayden Panettiere BOUGHT her Tom Ford dress at RETAIL. Tsk, tsk."
And earlier today (January 14) Hayden posted a photo of flowers and a note from Mr. Ford, along with the caption, "Such an honor to wear one of this man's masterpieces! Thank you for my beautiful flowers!"
Tom?s card said, "Dear Hayden, You looked beautiful last night. Thank you for your kind words. Much love, Tom."

Stepping out for an evening of fun, Kristen Stewart stopped by Covell Wine Bar in Los Feliz on Monday (January 13).
The "Twilight" beauty dressed down in a sweat shirt and baseball hat as she showed her distaste for the shutterbugs lingering outside the restaurant by giving them the finger as she drove away.
Meanwhile, Miss Stewart announced she might be rethinking her decision to be in Drake Doremus' upcoming film "Equals."
During a recent interview, Kristen described "Equals" as being the latest film adaption to George Orwell's classic novel "1984."
"I can't believe I agreed to do it," the 23-year-old actress revealed. "I'm terrified of it. Though it's a movie with a really basic concept, it's overtly ambitious."
She continued, "In 'Equals,' things go wrong because you can't deny the humanity in everyone. It's the most devastating story."
Despite her thoughts about the film, Kristen will continue to be apart of the production. "I trust Drake's process and I know we will do something really natural and real. But I told Drake, 'Don't expect that I am going to be able to do this. It's too hard.' But he wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. I've given directors disclaimers before, but never this much."

For whatever reason, there about 20 million Kanye West and Kim Kardashian stories percolating through the interwebs today, so I apologize for having two Kimye stories today, but it could not be avoided. Some of the stories are merely follow-ups to Kanye West?s alleged assault of an alleged racist d-bag. Some of the stories don?t have much to do with anything. Let?s break it down:
*Kim basically told TMZ her side of the story (although TMZ is still going with ?sources familiar?), and she?s saying that the kid screamed ?I will kill you, slut? at her and the kid dropped some n-bombs too. Kim is filing her own police report about the situation to counteract the current investigation Kanye is facing for criminal battery. TMZ seems to think that Kanye is in big trouble, but I?m still not seeing it. If Chris Brown is still out in the world, why would Kanye be in big trouble?
*TMZ finally got their hands of some paparazzi video of the 18-year-old kid talking to Kim outside of the medical building. You can see the video here.
*Page Six says Kanye had lunch with Anna Wintour at the Beverly Hills Hotel a few days ago. A source claims: ?They were in a corner booth, very intense. He was talking nonstop. She did not get a word in edgewise.? Apparently, Kanye is still trying to convince Wintour to put Kim on the cover of Vogue. Stay strong, Anna.
*Kanye thinks Beyonce STOLE his concept of a ?visual album? with her latest album release. A source told Radar: ?Kanye is feeling really defeated over Beyonce?s album doing so well. He wanted to do a visual album for his ?Dark Twisted Fantasies? album, but everyone around him convinced him it wouldn?t work. That?s why he ended up doing one long movie to go with it [the 35-minute short film, 'Runaway'].? Apparently, Kanye isn?t pitching a fit about it though, because ?he needs to stay on good terms with Jay Z.? Plus, he wants to do something to eclipse Beyonce.
*Beyonce?s Bey-hive has been trolling Kim because Kim has been Single-White-Female-ing Beyonce. Kim copies everything about Beyonce and Kim has even posted Beyonce lyrics to her Instagram or something. Anyway, Bey?s stans are watching, Kim.

Here are some photos of Kristen Stewart out and about in Beverly Hills over the weekend. According to Fame/Flynet, ?Kristen stopped by a library and then by a newsstand. She carried with her a bottle of Smart Water and a piece of paper that said ‘We The People’.? What does it all mean?! Kristen has a library card! Kristen reads magazines! Kristen drinks SmartWater! So much to analyze. I?m not sure where Robert Pattinson is these days, but I hope he?s still in England and I?ve heard some rumors that he?s moving on from Kristen. Let?s hope. Let?s also hope that Kristen realizes that the end has come, because I kind of want to see who her next boyfriend would be too.
Anyway, Kristen is still the face of Balenciaga?s fragrances. She?s done campaigns for Florabotanica, and she recently shot a campaign for the new fragrance, Rosabotanica. I?m including the new print ad at the end of the post! To promote the campaign, Kristen spoke to Flare Mag about working for Balenciaga, and about her ART. She drops two f-bombs within the first three sentences. ART.
It?s been a tough year for Twihards. The film series ended, Robsten split, and neither Kristen Stewart nor Robert Pattinson has graced the screen since. But wait: Stewart?s angsty lip curl can now be spotted on a new crop of Balenciaga ads for Rosabotanica (Florabotanica?s follow-up scent), where her stony, smoky-eyed stare contrasts the vivid floral vines creeping over her shoulder. The spicy rose-pepper blend aptly reflects the non-conformist personality the 23-year-old?s fans have come to adore. Stewart?s F-bombed frankness and red-carpet Chuck Taylors are some of her best assets?because they?re real.
?I had looked at the fashion world as superficial,? she admits when asked about her collaboration with Balenciaga?s former creative director Nicolas Ghesquire, whom she considers a ?true artist.?

Two roles have lured her back. In Sils Maria, she portrays a personal assistant to a troubled, aging actress, played by real-life Oscar winner Juliette Binoche. And in Camp X-Ray, a drama set in Guantanamo Bay, she plays a simple girl with unwavering ideals who realizes life isn?t black-and-white. ?Her eyes are smashed open, and I know that feeling,? Stewart says, hinting, perhaps, at last year?s troubles.
As Twi fans wait for those flicks and her newly announced Chanel fashion campaign to be released later this year, they continue to beg, via tear-filled YouTube tirades, for a Bella-and-Edward reunion, be it fictional or real. Meanwhile, gossip blogs speculate daily about the pair?s on-again, off-again status.
?They cast you as easily identifiable characters they can sell to the masses,? says Stewart. ?When people pick up newspapers and read perfect summaries of my life in little concise stories, it?s kind of silly. Can anyone?s life be put into words like that?? Stewart is far from one-dimensional, and it?s that sense of mystery that keeps us hooked. A rose any less thorny surely wouldn?t be as sweet.

I really don’t know what’s going on with Ashlee Simpson these days. Professionally, she’s not doing much of anything. She hasn’t released an album in several years, and the highlight of her IMDb profile is still a mere 13 episodes of that Melrose Place remake. Ashlee is kind of a mess. I remember wondering why she was all tarted up like a Real Housewife at the recent LA premiere of Catching Fire. She was there with her then boyfriend, Evan Ross. He’s the son of Diana Ross and will play Messalla in the upcoming Mockingjay movies. Poor Messalla doesn’t know what’s coming to him.
Ashlee has had an interesting love life over the past few years. She and Pete Wentz divorced, and she moved on to Boardwalk Empire‘s Vincent Piazza. In early April of last year, Ashlee was said to be “determined to marry” Vincent and “have his baby.” They broke up shortly thereafter, and Ash quickly moved onto Evan. Now Ashlee has posted a engagement announcement on Twitter with a halfway decent shot of her ring. Nice Instagram filters.

Just FYI: this post contains the words ?Crack Baby Shots? and it?s not even one of my typical Lohan jokes. These are photos of Lindsay from the weekend, where she was still partying her ass off in London, for no apparent reason. Seriously, even the tabloids who get paid to make up reasons why celebrities are seen in certain places are at a loss to explain why Lindsay has camped out in London and why she?s been going out to clubs every night. Here?s a reason: Just Because. Because she?s Lindsay Lohan. Because she?s a crackhead. The photos of Lindsay looking particularly cracked out in the white fur (stolen?) are from Sunday night, where she apparently went to Boujis. You know who else used to go to Boujis all the time? Lindsay Lohan may have only got our of rehab six months ago, but that definitely hasn’t stopped her hitting the town whilst she’s been in London and insiders have now told us that the actress partied til 3am AGAIN last night.
Insiders told EntertainmentWise that Lindsay arrived at celeb hotspot Boujis with a small group of friends, with the pals spending around 3,000 on Crack Baby shots and a Boujis B cocktail vessel.
The red headed star then left the nightclub in the early hours with two friends, a girl and a boy. They then got into an Aston Martin and allegedly headed home to Chelsea. However, despite the group reportedly drinking throughout the evening, Lindsay’s rep has since told us that the actress didn’t touch any alcohol.
Meanwhile, toyboy Christian Arno Williams, who Lindsay is said to be dating, was nowhere to be seen.
?Christian is a total cheeky chappy and has no fear,” a different source told The Mirror, regarding the pair’s alleged romance. ?He caught Lindsay’s eye and just went in for the kill. He?s very good-looking and Lindsay loves the British accent. They spent loads of time together and got pretty close, quite quickly. Neither knows whether this will lead to anything or if it was merely a holiday romance but, at the moment, Christian is really happy and quite excited. He has only told a handful of people and is trying to be discreet, as is Lindsay.?

I love every part of this story. The Crack Baby Shots, the reports of Lindsay?s booze-soaked night in the VIP lounge, and every part of her ?romance? with Christian Arno Williams. He?s 23 years old ? which is a bit older than Lindsay has been going for recently. She?s usually going for the 18 and 19-year-olds these days, because they really don?t know any better. So this guy is 23, he?s a ?model? and Lindsay is already ?showering? her boy-toy with gifts, like a $30,000 Rolex (which she probably stole from a john). And he?s super-discreet too, you guys. That?s why we already know his name, his age, his job, where he went to college and how he feels about her. Because he?s discreet. Basically Miley only wants attention when it benefits her, which is typical for spoiled Hollywood brats.
