Here are more photos from the Duchess of Kent?s requiem mass at Westminster Cathedral on Tuesday. Most of the royal family was in attendance: King Charles (no Camilla), the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of Edinburgh (but no Edward?), Princess Anne and Tim Laurence, and an abundance of the Kent side of the family.
I was right about Kate?s funeral look, this is the same Roland Mouret dress she wore to Prince Philip?s funeral in 2021. She also borrowed the same ?funeral necklace? she wore to Philip?s funeral and QEII?s funeral, a pearl choker with a diamond-encrusted vulva-looking centerpiece. She carried a Chanel bag. Theyre making a big deal about Kate curtsying to King Charles as they exited the church. What was weird about it like, she was the only one who curtsied as they said goodbye. William didnt bow or anything. Kate also kissed the king?s cheeks as they said goodbye. What was more interesting about the goodbye tableau was that Charles and William barely said anything to one another and they had a pretty cold goodbye. William is apparently still pissed off about Charles meeting Harry. I would imagine that Charles is still pissed at William for being lazy and dumb.

Amanda Seyfried?s new movie The Testament of Ann Lee came out of the Venice Film Festival with a lot of momentum, for both the film itself and Amanda?s performance. Mona Fastvold directed the film from a script she co-wrote with her real life partner Brady Corbet, making this movie complementary to last year?s The Brutalist which they also co-wrote, and Corbet directed. Ann Lee follows the titular character, a real woman from the 1700s who founded the Shaker religious sect in America. Fastvold makes a point, though, of saying that the movie is ?inspired by? the real Ann?s life, as opposed to a straight up biopic. The film includes a lot of the Shaker?s signature singing and dancing, often described as ?ecstatic,? making the project an excellent showcase for Amanda. Not to get all Marlon Brando about it, but she could be a real contender during awards season. And while many actors in her heels have trotted out the campaign talking point of the physical transformation/sacrifice of a role, Amanda has been citing one very 21st century luxury she had to do without: Botox.
At the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her film The Testament of Ann Lee on Tuesday, Sept. 9, the actress, 39, opened up about giving up Botox and makeup for her role as Ann Lee, the founder of the Shakers.
In speaking with Etalk on the red carpet, Seyfried said that the ?sacrifice? was well worth it.
?I?m an actor and that?s my job and that?s what I love to do,? she told the outlet. ?I don?t necessarily need all that in my life. I just like it. The things that I like, I can sacrifice a little. Of course I can.?
She added, ?We did make sacrifices, and it was worth it. Every day was fun. We didn?t just survive, we thrived.?
The actress previously spoke about forgoing Botox as part of director Mona Fastvold?s no-makeup rule for The Testament of Ann Lee in an interview with Vanity Fair published on Aug. 26.
?I couldn?t get Botox for a year,? she told the magazine. ?That was a big assignment? When I first got [Botox], I was, like, ?This is amazing,? because I frown a lot. But then it all came back in a way that was absolutely necessary for all the work I was doing.?
The Testament of Ann Lee had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on Monday, Sept. 1. The historical musical drama earned a 15-minute standing ovation after the screening ? the longest of any film at this year?s event, surpassing the 13 minutes of applause given to Guillermo del Toro?s Frankenstein.
In video footage shared by Variety, Seyfried was captured getting emotional at the ovation as she gazed around in awe at her colleagues, including director/co-writer Fastvold.
Per a synopsis from the festival, The Testament of Ann Lee is ?an epic fable inspired by the life of Ann Lee, the founder of the Shakers, a radical religious movement that began in the late 1700s.?

Donald and Melania Trump arrived in the UK last night, and they arrived via helicopter at Windsor Castle a short time ago. Droopyface Don looks like he was pumped full of drugs so he could manage ?walking? and ?descending stairs.? Melania looks like she?s already fed up with all of this. Mel has barely been around her husband or the White House this year, preferring to split her time between New York and Mar-a-Lago. This state visit might be the most time Don and Mel have spent together in many years. Well, speaking of, the British tabloids have some tea on the Trumps? sleeping arrangements. Separate bedrooms, separate lives.
President Trump and first lady Melania will sleep in separate suites at Windsor Castle, according to sources. Palace insiders have told the Daily Mail that the pair have opted for some privacy and will enjoy their own rooms, as well as sheets shipped in from the U.S. during the U.K. state visit? this week. Thankfully, Windsor Castle boasts more than 1,000 rooms, including state apartments, private chambers, chapels, and offices.
?Below-stairs wags, noting that Melania has a separate suite, joke that if she?d asked for a water bed she could effortlessly drift apart from Donald,? the Daily Mail?s ?Ephraim Hardcastle? column reads.
The suggestion that the Trumps are effectively separated has lingered in the background of the administration for months. She lives mainly in New York as her husband rips up and redraws the White House in his image down in Washington, D.C.
However, their decision to sleep separated by a wall could be considered all the rage at Windsor, since the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip are said to have enjoyed their own separate sleeping quarters. King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla have gone one step further and maintain separate residences.
Trump?s lackeys reportedly combed his Windsor suite before he touched down at Stansted Airport, just outside of London, on Tuesday, surmising that the royal bedding was not up to scratch, the Ephraim column states. His team then provided housekeepers at the 11th-century residence with his preferred bed linen. A courtier joked in response that this was because Trump decided that he did not want to sully royal bedding with his tanning chemicals.

The gossip has always been that Don and Mel have separate bedrooms though I remember those reports from the first Trump term. From what I remember, Don took the Lincoln Bedroom and Mel took a different bedroom, and she set up her own space in the residence so she didn?t have to see her husband. Anyway, it?s interesting that the British tabloids are gossiping about the Trumps? separate bedrooms. Now do William, Kate, Charles and Camilla.

As noted in our coverage, Dying for Sex was completely shut out from any Emmy wins, sigh. It was my favorite show of the year and perhaps the most spiritually profound, life-affirming, and hysterically funny (yes, really!) series I?ve ever watched, nay experienced? but to each her own. I?d been bracing myself for this outcome for weeks now. You may recall my saying once or thrice that Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie would be a tight race between Michelle Williams for this show, and Cristin Milioti for The Penguin. Obviously, Cristin won, and she?s a delight and a real one and damn fine actress so I?m thrilled for her. But that was the one category I thought Dying for Sex had any real shot at winning. While I adored the supporting performances from Jenny Slate (best work she?s ever done and she knows it, good for her!) and Rob Delaney, once again I correctly predicted they would each lose to someone from Adolescence. I think Rob knew the win for him was in the nomination, if not simply getting the chance to be part of the show full stop. On the red carpet he talked about big emotions while filming:

When Delaney, 48, spoke with PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly?s Red Carpet Live show ahead of the 2025 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 14, the actor said watching Williams? heavy performance as a woman dying from cancer affected him off-set, when asked whether he explored any new elements in his life after making the series.
?It was hard, you know, because I got to know Michelle Williams the person in addition to the character she played,? Delaney, who plays a character who has a sexual relationship with Williams? Molly in the show, says. ?Watching her get sick and deteriorate and die was very painful because she?s an amazing actress, as we all know. So it was super painful, honestly, and we cried a lot, on and off camera. It was heavy.?
When Delaney was asked how he would decompress from filming heavy sequences, he adds, ?I would swim and run and call a friend and be like ? I remember I called Nick Offerman one time and I was like, ?Nick, what do you do when acting is hard and real and it?s not just silly comedy?? And he would talk me off a ledge.?
?Delaney also spoke about the reality of filming sex scenes while on the red carpet. ?It?s really funny, because it?s intimate appearing on the screen, but then of course when you?re shooting it there?s a grip and a guy with a boom mic and everything and you?re making crazy noises and doing all kinds of stuff,? he says. ?So frequently, cut would be yelled and then we would laugh and then me and the grip would be like ?Sorry, sorry you had to see that.??

Rob was pitch perfect as Neighbor Guy, and I gotta say, I loved that among scenes of high drama, his clip in the nominees reel was of him messily eating that huge taco in the elevator. Simply glorious. As for the series being heavy and emotional to film, I can only imagine, given Rob?s personal history. His son Henry died from cancer in 2018, he was only two years old. I have no doubt that the memories and emotions were right on tap for Rob during filming. Rob wrote a book, A Heart That Works, that?s his account of the loss of Henry and dealing with grief. Much like the tone of Dying for Sex, A Heart That Works has been praised for its humor in the midst of life?s bleakest moments. I?m glad this role found him, and hope it was a cathartic experience. And selfishly I hope this Emmy exposure leads to us seeing more of Rob! Also, I bet Nick Offerman is a fantastic, stalwart friend to pick a guy up when he?s feeling low. Here?s to the friends who are the great loves of our lives; that?s ultimately what Dying for Sex is about.

I?m interested in seeing what PTA and Leo have done together Paul is only five years older than Leo? They?re basically the same generation, weird.
Anyway, I was first struck by how good Leo looks in these photos. He looks well-rested, fit, younger. His hair also looks fuller than it has in recent years? Is it the hair dye or something else? Did Leo go to Turkey???
Fashion notes: Chase Infiniti wore Iris Van Herpen, which is stunning on her. Teyana also went for a bold look in Oude Waag Fall 2025. I actually love the futuristic/Dune vibe of this, but I kind of wish she skipped the fabric piece around her face. It looks like that Skims ?face shapewear? which garnered so much criticism several months ago. Maya Rudolph (PTA?s wife) wore a terribly unflattering Bode dress. Neelam Gill also turned up at the premiere a few years ago, there were many rumors flying around that Leo and Neelam were dating. I think she?s with one of Leo?s close friends though, but that might have been a cover story.

Here are some photos of Donald and Melania Trump arriving at Stansted Airport in Essex on Tuesday evening. They didn?t get a formal royal greeting upon their arrival all of that is happening today, and we?ll have coverage later on (when we get the photos and videos). A brief fashion note: Melania (and that is her, not Fauxlania) wore a long Burberry coat, as a nod to her British hosts. As the Daily Beast pointed out, the Trumps do not travel well, especially these days. Ol? Droopyface looked half-dead as he gingerly descended down the steps. His cankles made a special appearance as well.
In recent days, there were many ?exclusives? from Buckingham Palace about the importance of this state visit and how Downing Street has ordered King Charles to roll out every red carpet for the Trumps. A royal insider told Vanity Fair that Charles ?has paid very close personal attention to the visit, overseeing the schedule and being very involved. They are very positive about the visit and very much looking forward to it. I get the impression the king is going to be rather vocal about issues close to his heart, chiefly the environment and energy. Queen Camilla will be very charming and they will both make sure the president and first lady will be made to feel very welcome. I suspect the royals will pull this out of the hat beautifully.?
Well, funny story. Upon the Trumps? arrival, a group called Led By Donkeys managed to project images of Trump, Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew onto one of Windsor Castle?s towers. Apparently, the prankster-activists were arrested, but the stunt made major news last night and it?s bleeding into the coverage of the state visit today.

There was some fascinating staging as the Windsors exited Westminster Cathedral following the Requiem Mass for the Duchess of Kent. The exits were barely staggered, and the Windsors basically all had to stand in front of the church together as they waited for their cars (because no one carpooled). The lack of staggered exits led to Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson leaving the church around the same time as the Prince and Princess of Wales. Andrew and Fergie were allowed to go to the funeral because, officially, this was a family occasion, not a state event. So, long story short, for several minutes, photographers got tons of pics of Andrew lurking right behind William. The video feed caught even more they spoke to one another briefly:

Does anyone else remember that episode of Oprah?s talk show, where it was basically a tribute to Barbra Streisand? At first, Barbra spoke to Oprah one-on-one, then Robert Redford came out and basically Oprah and her entire audience squealed with delight. Barbra was thrilled as well, obviously. What struck me about that interview was that Redford was truly embarrassed by the attention, but Barbra absolutely loved that he showed up and reminisced about The Way We Were. He was such a gentleman, and you could tell that Barbra still had an enormous crush on him after all of those years. Oh, I found the interview go here to see. Well, following Redford?s passing, many of his leading ladies gave emotional tributes. I?m including the statements from Barbra, Meryl Streep, Jane Fonda and more.
Barbra Streisand: ?Every day on the set of ?The Way We Were? was exciting, intense and pure joy. We were such opposites: he was from the world of horses; I was allergic to them! Yet, we kept trying to find out more about each other, just like the characters in the movie. Bob was charismatic, intelligent, intense, always interesting? and one of the finest actors ever. The last time I saw him, when he came to lunch, we discussed art and decided to send each other our first drawings. He was one of a kind and I?m so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him.?
Meryl Streep: One of the lions has passed. Rest in peace my lovely friend.?
Demi Moore: ?The world has lost an incredible actor, director, husband, father, friend? Robert?s legacy will live on forever in so many ways and I will carry the many memories we share close to my heart. What I would do for just one more dance.?
Jane Fonda: ?It hit me hard this morning when I read that Bob was gone. I cant stop crying.He meant a lot to me and was a beautiful person in every way. He stood for an America we have to keep fighting for.

Donald and Melania Trump arrived in Windsor around noon GMT, and they arrived via Marine One. They were greeted by the Prince and Princess of Wales. This is Prince William?s big moment, his ?major role? in the Trump state visit to the UK greeting the Trumps and bringing them to Windsor Castle. Other than that, William wasn?t tasked with much of anything else. Sure, he and Kate will attend the state banquet at the castle, and the Waleses are part of the formal greeting with a carriage ride. But none of that is heavy-duty statesman work. Sad!
For this part of the state visit, Kate wore a maroon Emilia Wickstead coatdress and a Jane Taylor hat. Queen Camilla confirmed her appearance at the last minute, having skipped the Duchess of Kent?s funeral yesterday. Cam wore a coat by Fiona Clare and a Philip Treacy hat. Donald Trump apparently greeted Kate with a compliment: ?You?re beautiful.?
As for Melania, she wore a dark Dior suit and a dramatic hat. Hello Mag hilariously notes, ?The First Lady broke royal protocol as failed to curtsey to both Princess Kate and Queen Camilla.? There?s zero protocol about a First Lady curtsying to anyone. I can?t stand Melania, but she wasn?t wrong to not show any deference to these people.

Over the weekend, Jay-Z and Beyonce hosted a huge charity event in Atlantic City. The charity is REFORM Alliance, a non-profit which ?aims to transform probation and parole by changing laws, systems and culture to create real pathways to work and wellbeing.? The fundraiser was the second annual ?Casino Night,? and the fundraiser brought in $20 million. The Weeknd performed an exclusive set, and there was a charity auction which raised a big chunk of the profits. Unfortunately, a good night for charity is being overshadowed by the fact that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were in attendance. They were on the official guest list. Not only that, but they were seated at the same table as Beyonce and Jay-Z.
Countless celebrities attended the REFORM Alliance Casino Night And Gala at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City this weekend. The event was hosted by Michael Rubin and Meek Mill. It even managed to raise an impressive $20 million for criminal justice reform. Unfortunately, however, the seating chart is making headlines and raising eyebrows. This is because its been reported that Jay-Z and Beyonce sat near Donald Trumps daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, per @abenaissance on X.
Other reports suggest that the two Grammy-winners sat alone in the middle of the event. While the truth remains unclear for now, theyre receiving a great deal of backlash as photos from the gala continue to make their rounds online.
Guess the Kamala endorsement was just to get good PR, one X user says. All that campaigning for Kamala was clearly a front, someone else speculates. Others are coming to Beyonce and Jay-Zs defense, and arguing that where they sat at one event doesnt necessarily determine their political beliefs.

Beyonce was absolutely seated at the same table as Javanka, I don?t know what to tell you. There are photos go here to see where you can plainly see Beyonce seated across from Jared and Ivanka. Jay-Z and Beyonce were the hosts, and Javanka?s names were included on the official guest list. Sure, sitting at the same table with someone at a charity fundraiser isn?t indicative of a political alliance, and it?s not like authoritarianism is airborne. But it absolutely looks bad and it simply IS bad. Ivanka and Jared should not be invited to these kinds of society events, and they should not be seated in a place of honor with Bey-Z.

Did you guys know that both Brittany and Patrick Mahomes are Virgos? That?s so interesting to me, you rarely see dual-Virgo marriages out in the wild, especially among celebrities. Brittany?s birthday is August 31, and Patrick?s b-day is September 17th. Taylor Swift went to some of Brittany?s b-day festivities in Nashville several weeks ago, and now it appears that Taylor went to a smallish birthday party for Patrick. This party happened on Sunday night, after the Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs. Country singer Kane Brown was there, and he posted a photo of the Mahomeses along with Travis Kelce and Taylor. This was the only sighting of Taylor on Sunday, because even though she attended the Chiefs game, she hid behind a barrier on her way to the VIP box, and she also hid from broadcasters during the game. TMZ now says that Taylor hid away because of security issues, which is what I figured.
Taylor Swift snuck into a football stadium to watch her fianc Travis Kelce at work and it looks like she used a bullet-resistant portable shield to evade detection following Charlie Kirks very public murder. Swifties are running with an interesting theory online after Taylor kept an extremely low profile at Sundays game between Travis Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles her fans think she was behind a bulletproof barrier that was seen rolling through the bowels of Arrowhead Stadium in K.C.
We did some digging and it seems the barrier being used here is a bullet-resistant portable shield partition that retails for about $6,000.
Taylor usually makes high-profile arrivals to Arrowhead to watch Travis play with tons of video typically showing her making her way to her suite. That didnt happen Sunday and its unclear why she seemingly felt the need to sneak in behind a protective barrier. It will be interesting to see if Taylor keeps this up the screen may be bad luck though the Chiefs lost, 20-17, to drop to 0-2 on the season.

This isn?t the first time that Taylor?s security has had to turn on a dime because of some larger national issue. During her Eras Tour, she had to cancel her Vienna concerts because of a terrorist plot. The past week has been absolutely insane, and I would assume that Taylor?s private security is being inundated with credible threats. I actually wonder if Taylor is going to make a point of skipping Chiefs games for a little while, at least until things cool down.
