The Kardashian-Jenners bizarrely decided to coordinate their 2026 Met Gala looks in a weird way. Except for Kris Jenner, the daughters all wore variations on a breastplate theme. Even crazier, they all wore different designers, so they were literally going to different designers and asking for the same or similar things. Kylie wore Schiaparelli, which probably infuriated Lauren Sanchez (there?s a rumor that Lauren paid to wear Schiaparelli exclusively at the gala, but I don?t know if that?s true). Meanwhile, check out Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner?s takes on the theme.
Kim Kardashian wore a custom piece created by artist Allen Jones, in collaboration with design duo Whitaker Malem. Kim had Whitaker Malem work with Jones to ?cast a mold to create the unique breastplate,? and the look is based on Jones? pop-art work. I mean? I appreciate the fact that Kim really considered the gala theme and she did something incredibly unique. Now, do I like this? Not at all.
As for Kendall, she had a custom look from Zac Posen-for-The-Gap. The art reference here is ?Winged Victory.? Meanwhile, Kris wore Dolce & Gabbana and she actually mogged her daughters. I?m assuming her art reference was Modigliani and it?s STUNNING.

Katy Perry attended the Met Gala and she made some news by wearing a face mask. Like, a full headpiece designed by Miodrag Guberinic, which she could open up. Her dress was Stella McCartney. Apparently, the entire thing is a reference to AI, and in a clever bit, Katy?s glove included a sixth finger. Since AI is always giving people extra digits. It?s actually more thoughtful for the theme than I would have expected from her, it?s just that people are kind of over Katy in general.
Simone Ashley?s dress is possibly the most interesting piece Stella McCartney has ever created. Of course, Simone has a really incredible figure, which serves the design. My biggest problem with this look? Simone?s clip-in baby bangs. Ugh.

Do you realize that a decade has passed since Beyonce last attended the Met Gala? Before last night, she hadn?t attended since 2016. The past decade has been a haze, right? Maybe Beyonce is ushering in a new era. Fashion-wise? well? it?s something. Like, I absolutely love Beyonce and I?m terrified of the Beygency, but I?ve never thought that Beyonce is any kind of fashion iconoclast or ever all that fashion-forward. She wore a ?skeleton dress? by Olivier Rousteing. Okay? it just goes to show that you can be the whole-ass Met Gala co-chair and still be on some crazy skeleton business. Bey brought Jay-Z and Blue Ivy as her dates. Now, Blue Ivy? SHE is the fashionista. She?s like her aunt Solange Blue understands fashion and how to create impactful fashion moments. Blue wore Balenciaga and she looked amazing.
You know who was sort of disappointing? Gigi Hadid in custom Miu Miu. What a basic-ass dress. Ditto with Vittoria Ceretti in custom Carolina Herrera.
