	| | | | | Jennifer Lawrence feels like people rejected her 'annoying' personality in her 20s | | Added 38 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

 | | | |
	| | | Jennifer Lawrence was once known for her uninhibited, gossipy tell-all interviews. It was all Doritos, farts and poop jokes with her. Then she grew up, got married, started a family and? she still likes to joke around, but she?s absolutely matured and her interviews have started to reflect that. She?s currently promoting Die My Love, and I think she?s probably going to be a big awards contender for the film. She?s already been making her way through the film festival circuit, and now she?s given her first big interview of the season to the New Yorker. It?s a good read you can see the full piece here. Some highlights:

Her old Cool Girl interviews: ?So hyper. So embarrassing. Well, it is, or it was, my genuine personality, but it was also a defense mechanism,? she said. The pedestal of fame had felt treacherous and false: ?And so it was a defense mechanism, to just be, like, ?I?m not like that! I poop my pants every day!? I was young, I lived alone, I was being chased,? she said. Paparazzi followed her when she drove around in Los Angeles; at night, adrenaline threw off her sleep. She had too many projects and was doing too much press, and she felt ?pissed,? she said. ?I look at those interviews, and that person is annoying. I get why seeing that person everywhere would be annoying. Ariana Grande?s impression of me on ?S.N.L.? was spot-on.? But the backlash did make her life seem ?uninhabitable. I felt?I didn?t feel, I was, I think?rejected not for my movies, not for my politics, but for me, for my personality.?

She said yes to ?Die My Love? right after she gave birth to her first child: ?I wasn?t really having a bad postpartum. I had a worse postpartum with my second, but the first time the only thing I was at war with was the rest of the world.? Still, she responded to the protagonist?s loneliness, to the frankness of her insanity and her lack of control.

They decided to change parts of Grace?s postpartum depression so she was never abusive to her baby: ?Maybe that was a mistake. But, once Rob and I started doing our scenes together, I think it became more of a thing that a lot of postpartum women feel, where you?re not mad at your baby?you?re mad at your fking husband, who can just go to the gym.? The script called for them to have a screaming match in the car with the baby in the back seat. ?Rob and I were both, like, ?We can?t.? ? They had bonded with the twins who played their son?Lawrence held them a lot off camera, so that they would feel safe when she held them onscreen. (?Those babies,? Lawrence said, in a worshipful hush. ?Victoria and Kennedy. The girls.?) Grace and Jackson had their fight alone, and Grace is never cruel to the child. ?I think if there was a baby on my lap, I can?t hold her in a way that she?s not going to feel like I like her. That would be so, so sad.?

The terrible postpartum anxiety she?d experienced with her second. ?I just thought every time he was sleeping he was dead. I thought he cried because he didn?t like his life, or me, or his family. I thought I was doing everything wrong, and that I would ruin my children.? She took Zurzuvae, a recently developed drug, and it helped so quickly and significantly that she thinks all new moms should be briefed about it.

Her first big job on ?The Bill Engvall Show?: ?It was perfect,? Lawrence said, of the show?s utter lack of cultural resonance, ?because I didn?t get pigeonholed, and I had a steady paycheck, which meant I could actually choose my roles.?

How she deals with paparazzi now: Paparazzi regularly station themselves outside her town house downtown. Once she had kids, Lawrence decided to make herself an easy target. ?It?s better than the cat-and-mouse thing where I?m going into garages and my eyes are darting around and I wonder if someone?s chasing me,? she said. ?I realized that my kids would be aware of my energy, and that, if I was nervous and pissed when we left the house, they would feel that in their little bodies.? Now she goes out the front door, the paparazzi take pictures, and then they let her be for the rest of the day.

She?s getting a boob job this year: ?Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one. Second one, nothing bounced back.? She has to be nude on camera again in the spring, one year postpartum, she told me. Would she be getting them done if she weren?t a famous actress? ?Maybe I wouldn?t be hustling to the appointment in the same way,? she said. ?But I think yes.?

Re: the cool-girl interviews of her 20s, she was annoying and hyper and there was too much gross-out humor, but you have to keep in mind, for a seven-year period, absolutely no one was doing it like her. She was the biggest star in the country, and she was being offered everything under the sun. Of course she had a shtick and she stuck with it for a while. Maybe too long. But you live and you learn, and she really needs to give herself a break. She wasn?t committing crimes, she was just a bit annoying in interviews.

I?m not surprised that she talks openly about getting a boob job either what surprises me is that she?s not talking about how she?s tweaked her face a bit! But whatever, it?s fine. I?m looking forward to her awards season. I?ve got to wonder if she wants to have new boobs for all of the awards shows too.

	| | | | | Princess Kate will skip the Rio Earthshot events because of the Forest Lodge move | | Added 39 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

 | | | |
	| | | It?s still fascinating to see the complete lack of commentary around the Princess of Wales refusing to attend her husband?s Earthshot Prize ceremonies. Kate only went to the first two Earthshot events. She skipped in 2023 because ?George had a test,? a hilariously dumb excuse. She skipped last year because her health was too fragile to travel internationally for anything other vacations. Speaking of, Kate has traveled a lot this year several ski trips to the Alps, a vacation in Mustique in February, several weeks on a yacht in Greece, and probably several more vacations which we don?t even know about. But when it comes time to travel for ?work,? Kate begs off. She will not join her husband in Rio. She even had a brand-new excuse: she can?t go to Rio because she?s moving into Forest Lodge!

Kate Middleton wont join Prince William in Brazil for a key royal outing. The Prince of Wales, 43, is set to travel solo to Rio de Janeiro for his Earthshot Prize awards ceremony on Nov. 5. The Earthshot Prize searches the world for environmental solutions that show the greatest potential. During the event, William and a distinguished prize council will announce the five winners with a prize of 1 million, or around $1.3 million.

Following the events in Rio, William will then head to the UN climate conference in Belm, Brazil, on Nov. 6.

Meanwhile, Princess Kate will be staying home with the couples three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

This year, Kate will be focused not only on taking care of the kids during their half-term break from Lambrook School and her ongoing recovery after announcing she was in remission from cancer, but shes also seeing her family through a major transition.

The Prince and Princess of Wales family plans to move from Adelaide Cottage in Windsor to the nearby Forest Lodge in the coming weeks, upgrading from the four-bedroom abode to the eight-bedroom home on the Windsor Great Park estate.

The relocation serves as a fresh start for the family, who have endured a trying few years since moving to Adelaide Cottage in August 2022. Following that transition, the royal family mourned the loss of Williams grandmother Queen Elizabeth, as well as Kate and King Charles dual cancer diagnoses.

?I can?t support my husband?s busywork scheme because I?m organizing our move into our fifth forever home which includes a 150-acre land grab of a public park? is quite an excuse. Granted, I acknowledge that much of this isn?t even Kate?s choice. While I doubt she wants to go to any Earthshot events, William absolutely does not want her there. That goes back to all of those suspicious stories in 2023, about how we would see William stepping out solo more often, and how he acts like a hot divorced dad or something. They were hyping up Solo/Single William a lot in the months before Kate?s mysterious hospitalization in January 2024.

	| | | | | Elizabeth Hurley cuts Billy Ray Cyrus' hair: 'We have a lot of hair between us' | | Added 41 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

 | | | |
	| | | October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I ?recognized? it on Monday morning by getting a mammogram and a 3D ultrasound. (I have dense breast tissue, so the office was able to get me preapproved for the ultrasound rather than making me come back for it like I did last year.) Speaking of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Elizabeth Hurley is celebrating her 30th anniversary as a global ambassador for Este Lauder?s Breast Cancer Campaign. To raise awareness, Liz sat down with The Times to talk about the campaign, what inspired her to do it, and why she feels that it?s so important to destigmatize talking about it. She also gushes about her relationship with Billy Ray Cyrus and talks about the one subject that?s been on everyone?s mind: their hair!

Why she started doing the campaign: ?I asked [Evelyn Lauder] what it was for and she explained how women all over the world were dying of breast cancer and no one was talking about it and she wanted to change that. It immediately resonated with me because my grandmother had just died of breast cancer. She was embarrassed, she didn?t want people to know she had cancer, especially not in the breast. It wasn?t spoken about. We knew absolutely nothing about the treatment she was going through. That?s just the way it was then. So really, when I started with Evelyn, it was to get the conversation going, to try to raise awareness and destigmatise talking about breast cancer.?

On how women never put themselves first: ?Women have always felt that looking after themselves is somewhat self-indulgent. We always put everybody else first. We put our kids first, our houses first, our husbands first, our mothers-in-law, whoever ? we put everybody first and we seem to put ourselves last. There has always been the feeling that it?s self-indulgent to put ourselves first. What we are trying to say now is, if we are indeed the caretakers of the world, we can?t take care of anyone if we?re not there.?

60 is a mere 1/6 of her life: ?I haven?t noticed a difference. You start doing fractions and milestones. Decades are a very easy way to do fractions. I can now say I?m 60 and I?ve been working for the Este Lauder company on the breast cancer campaign for one in two of my days on this Earth. Right? I?ve been raising funds for breast cancer research for half my life.?

She will not grocery shop with Billy Ray: ?Obviously he loves England. The weather is nicer here in the summer than it is in Tennessee. He lives 40 minutes outside of Nashville. It?s so beautiful. Funnily enough, it actually looks a lot like England. Probably the equivalent of Surrey.? So what do they do together when she?s in ?Surrey Tennessee? ? do they go to the supermarket? ?I do, but he stays in the car.? Because he?d get mobbed? ?Because he would be annoying,? she says, laughing.

On their ?luxurious? locks: ?I cut his hair the other day. We do have a lot of hair between us. We?re in constant danger of choking on hairballs. He has got very fuzzy hair. Before his is done it?s out here,? she says, mimicking a great big, bouffant hairdo with her hands. ?So we?ve actually got contrast hair, which we aim to make look the same in the end.?

 [From The Times]

This quip made me laugh: ?We do have a lot of hair between us. We?re in constant danger of choking on hairballs.? Well, you know what they say. The couple that does their hair together stays together. I have this picture in my head of Billy Ray and Liz braiding each other?s hair and gossiping about all of their famous friends. I?m actually cracking myself up thinking about it. I bet they also get couples massages and mani/pedis together. They just give off that vibe. Speaking of vibes, Elizabeth does not give me ?I go to the supermarket? vibes. Neither does Billy Ray, although he gives QuikMart vibes.

It?s kind of crazy that Liz has now been doing Este Lauder?s campaign for literally half of her life. That?s pretty admirable. I didn?t know that story about her grandmother?s experience with breast cancer. Raising awareness and destigmatizing women?s health issues is so important. Not only does it help women feel like they?re not alone, it can also save lives. Elizabeth is also right about how you measure your years on Earth differently the older you get. Every few years, I find myself more aware of this. Time morphs and we define it differently with every passing milestone and experience.

Finally, Liz also mentioned that she does her own breast exam every month using this video. I?m sharing it in case anyone finds it useful:

	| | | | | George Clooney calls the Louvre heist cool, 'I was very proud of those guys' | | Added 2 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
 |
 | | | |
	| | | George Clooney has been making the festival rounds for his latest film for what feels like the longest two months of promotion that even wife Amal?s showgirl couture can?t save. The movie is Jay Kelly, helmed by Noah Baumbach from a script he cowrote with Emily Mortimer. I like Emily Mortimer a lot, but the film is giving budget It?s A Wonderful Life, and has been getting mid-to-scatching reviews. This was the part of the IMDb logline that had me rolling my eyes: ?Poignant and humor-filled, pitched at the intersection of regrets and glories.? Us writers can be really obnoxious with our writerly flourishes, so on behalf of the community I apologize for ?pitched at the intersection of regrets and glories.?

Thankfully the end is in sight, with the theatrical release date less than a month away on November 14. But before George can pack up and return to the farm in France where he and Amal are raising their twins ? that?s where George does the school run! ? he attended the LA premiere last week, where multiple outlets asked him to weigh in on the recent Louvre heist. You know, because George played a thief in Ocean?s Eleven. George?s take was as glib as we?ve come to expect from him:

The Louvre heist has prompted reactions of awe, disbelief, and outrage ? but George Clooney is one of the few onlookers who feel both pride and a tinge of jealousy.

The actor, who portrayed dapper casino thief Danny Ocean in Ocean?s Eleven and its sequels, reflected on the audacious burglary in which a group of thieves stole more than $100 million worth of historic jewels from Paris? foremost museum on Sunday.

?It was cool,? Clooney said of the Louvre theft during an interview with Variety on the Jay Kelly red carpet. ?I mean, it?s terrible. But if you?re a professional thief like I am, I was very proud of those guys.?

The Michael Clayton star added that he?s unsure if the culprits will evade authorities. ?I wonder if they?re going to catch these guys,? he said. ?They seem to have done a pretty good job at getting away with it.?

Clooney?s comments came as part of a broader conversation about another Ocean?s installment, which the actor has sporadically teased over the past few weeks. ?I think we should rob the Louvre,? he suggested for the long-awaited sequel?s plot. ?But somebody?s already done it, man, I dunno.?

It seems that Clooney would settle for just being retroactively inserted into existing footage of the thieves descending from the museum on an electric ladder. ?I think you gotta put me in, CGI me into that basket coming out of the Louvre,? Clooney told the Associated Press at the same event. ?I think you should do that.?

The Fantastic Mr. Fox star also expressed his admiration for the thieves? audacity during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the same event. ?I was amazed that it was in the middle of broad daylight. Insane,? he said. ?But every place gets robbed, I guess.?

 [From Entertainment Weekly]

I?m sure the French will be ever so thrilled to welcome George home on the heels of him making light of the theft of their $100 million crown jewels. The solidarit is moving. Look, I know more than a few of us have been swept up in the excitement of it all, given how brazen and swift the heist was. But there?s a noted difference between being captivated by a stunning event, versus downright rooting for the robbers. Plus, we?ve also been in equal measure, if not a touch more concerned about the fate of the jewels; lamenting the prospects of the pieces being broken down (i.e., destroyed) into unrecognizable parts, or being kept in pristine condition? but in a private oligarch?s collection never to be seen by the public again. I?m not getting a whiff of any of that kind of concern from George?s comments here. Rather, he?s centering himself based on a flimsy connection (that he once played a heister) and riffing on how the situation relates to him, without delving into any of the consequences. Hmm, why does this feel familiar?

Oh, and George need wonder no more about the thieves being caught: news broke on Sunday, one week after the crime was committed, that two suspects had been arrested. Though there?s been no word yet on if any of the jewels were recovered. Maybe they?ll turn up on a farm somewhere.
