| Charlize Theron shows off her son Jackson in Paris: how cute is this little guy? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

My prediction was for late May. I theorized, weeks ago, that Charlize Theron would unveil her son Jackson closer to June, when she has two films coming out – Prometheus and Snow White & the Huntsman. But Charlize unveiled Jackson yesterday at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris – which means that Jackson is getting some attention a month before Charlize?s dual press tours.
So? Jackson. I?m still not sure how old this kid is. Charlize adopted him in? March. I think. We don?t actually know, because Charlize keeps her information locked down. The announcement came in March, and if I had to put a number on it, I?d say Jackson is about six months old, give or take two months. Is that a wide enough margin of error? I?m really terrible at guessing baby ages. Anyway, Jackson is super-cute. I love his expression of ?OMG OMG OMG BRIGHT LIGHTS OMG.? He?s absolutely horrified. Charlize will totally teach him how to make the patented Theron bitchface soon enough. Trust it.
Can I just say? I?m still really happy for Charlize. I?m glad that she didn?t feel the need to wait around for a man to come around and help her fulfill her dreams of being a mom. I do think she and Stuart Townsend were the real deal, and since they split several years ago, Charlize has been feeling unfulfilled in some way. She seems so much more relaxed now, right?
PS? I love Jackson?s awesome little sweater. And his booties!

Showing off her natural beauty, Emma Watson was spotted doing a little shopping while out and about in London, England on Tuesday (May 8).
With her cell phone and wallet in hand, the "Harry Potter" actress slightly smiled at the cameras while making her way down the street looking casual in a grey sweater blouse, a green cardigan, skinny jeans and studded black riding boots.
Although she wasn't wearing a drop of makeup for her shopping excursion, Emma recently revealed she loves pretending to be a makeup artist, "I love doing make-up. I did my mum's make-up for all her job interviews and whenever I go out, I do their make-up too."
As for some of her own beauty tricks, the 22-year-old dished, "My speciality? I like quite a natural look, but I do everything really."
One facial feature she loves highlighting are her eyebrows, explaining, "People underestimate the power of an eyebrow. I recently got my friend into penciling hers in, which she thought was such a strange concept at first."
The young actress also talked about how there can sometimes be too many beauty tips out there, "Don't listen to everyone. It's kind of overwhelming, especially with your diet and skincare. You get so many different pieces of advice, you don't know what to listen to." adding, "I think people need to judge what works for them and trust their intuition."

| Kate Bosworth vs. Lea Michele: who was the biggest try-hard at the Met Gala? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
I barely know what to say about these two girls, Lea Michele and Kate Bosworth. I kind of wonder why I?ve never thought about comparing the two of them before. They?re very similar – in that they both approach the red carpet with a sense of hunger. Actual hunger, because, let?s face it, there are real concerns about when these two ever eat solid food. And metaphorical hunger, the hunger for fame, the hunger to be recognized, the hunger for acknowledgement that they are truly fashionable girls.
Lea Michele wore Diane Von Furstenberg – it?s kind of boring, but I genuinely like this on Lea. It flatters her figure, the color is great on her, and she styled it beautifully with the matching clutch (too matchy-matchy, but I think it?s fine) and the drop necklace. Great hair too.
As for Kate Bosworth in feathered Prada. You know what the worst part is? Sienna Miller did this look in a now-infamous Vogue spread in 2007 (infamous because it was the subject of The September Issue). Sienna was styled with an extremely high, tight bun, and the theme of the pictorial was ?feathers?. Why is The Bos so dated? Why is she the most boring feathered person there? Why did she choose that lip color? So? The Bos is my choice for the most try-hard person in this post. Lea Michele?s hungry, as always, but The Bos was a disaster.

| Renee Zellweger vs. Marion Cotillard in black at the Met Gala: whose hair was worse? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
|
|
Here were have two gorgeous women at the Met Gala last night whose very poorly-styled hair kind of ruins whatever look they were going for. First off is Renee Zellweger in black Pucci with a bizarre modern line pattern across the front that makes it look like an arrow is pointing at her cleavage. Renee has worn Carolina Herrera for years, including her relatively strong showing at last year’s Met Gala. This makes me wonder if she pissed off someone at Herrera or if she’s just trying to switch it up. Either way, I don’t think this dress is working for her. I don’t like the sheer sleeves and neckline coupled with the open back, which just look dated. (You can see a photo of the back of the dress here.) It’s also got a bizarre tiered ruffled fishtail.
Also, look at Renee’s styling. Her makeup is nonexistent and her hair looks so messy. I appreciate that she doesn’t wear wigs or extensions, but she could do something much more polished with her short hair. Overall, she looks like a mess. She might have been able to pull off this look with different styling.
She’s shown with Peter Dundas, the lead designer for Pucci.

| Scarlett Johansson in D&G at the Met Gala: unkempt or understated princess? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Last week, Kaiser hit it on the nose with a theory that Scarlett Johansson has (intentionally or not) been systematically killing off her sexiness in regards to her post-Ryan Reynolds (as well as concurrent and post-Sean Penn) red carpet looks. Then Scarlett changed course by bringing it in Preen for her Walk of Fame ceremony. Now I’m fully seeing a glimpse of the old Scarlett; that is, the sexy bombshell who wore red at the 2006 Golden Globes. Remember how even Ryan Seacrest couldn’t resist groping her at that event? That was so gross.
Last night, Scarlett wore a fantastic Dolce & Gabbana gown to the Met Gala and is doing the slightly messy (dare I say “bedhead”) locks once again. It’s my favorite hair look on her, and she wears it well. Now it’s fully expected that Scarlett would wear Dolce & Gabbana to the Met Gala since she’s still the face of their cosmetics line. Here the custom-made gown is almost princess-like (but still brings a lot of old-school glamour) with a champagne-colored, tulle skirt and a gold-embellished bodice that perfectly compliments her figure.
Like I’ve already said, Scarlett’s piece-y hair is perfectly mussed up for this dress as an updo would’ve been too severe for the overall look. Her makeup also looks beautiful as well with coral-colored lips and understated eyes.
Scarlett gives great back view in this dress too. Maybe she’s finally shaken off all of the Sean Penn. One can only hope.

| Emma Stone in short, puffy, goofy Lanvin at the Met Gala: cute or too juvenile? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Remember that purple and fuschia v-neck chiffon Lanvin gown that Emma wore to the Golden Globes this year? It had a belt with an eagle on it, which was kind of amazing. That dress would have been perfect for the Met Gala, but instead she wore this very goofy, short, childish red number with a giant skirt and weird little see-through flower discs all over it. Lanvin has come through for Emma other times the past. Earlier this year she wore that peach and black dress with the silver snake wrapped around the collar that J.Lo also sported recently. And she was in a beautiful full length v-neck mint-colored Lanvin at a Glamour event late last year. So I could see why she would trust them, they’ve created some of her prettiest, most-fashion forward looks. Except for last year’s Met Gala, when she wore a flower-print strapless Lavin that was kind of underwhelming.
I’ll say something nice, I really like her hair all purposefully messy like that, and her makeup is very well done. She’s had some heavy-handed eyeshadow on at past events, to the point where she’s looked clownish. Last night, though, her makeup looks great. It’s too bad it was overshadowed by that tea cozy of a dress.
This is Alber Elbaz, the designer. Look at his shoes! Bill Nighy looks like he’s photobombing them.

| Cate Blanchett in black, feathered McQueen at the Met Gala: absolute perfection? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Cate Blanchett to Beyonce: GIRL, THIS IS HOW YOU DO FEATHERS.
My girl Cate Blanchett is just perfection, isn?t she? Blanchett wore a Fall 2012 Alexander McQueen – which surprises me a little bit, because Cate was really close to the late Alexander McQueen, and if she was going to wear something McQueen, I would have thought it would be something vintage. But now we know – Cate supports Sarah Burton, the line?s new head designer. Cate was Burton?s first choice, apparently. They were each other?s dates.
Look, on another woman, this look would have been a total disaster. But I love this on Cate. As it always with Cate, it?s simply about how she wears it. She can pull off the strangest thing, and she never lets a dress wear her. Look at the detailing on this dress too – the whole thing is made of those rich-looking feathers. You seriously need to go back and look at Beyonce?s tacky monstrosity of a dress, then come back and look at this. Beyonce = Busted, Budget, Las Vegas Diva. La Blanchett = Beautiful, Perfect, Classic, Amazing Style Icon.

| Jessica Biel, bangsy in pale Prada at the Met Gala: busted or pretty? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake walked their first red carpet as an engaged couple at the Met Gala. I?ve been trying to think about all of the insults I could hurl at them, but honestly, I think they?re both doing pretty good for who and what they are. Do I wish Jessica Biel would stop trying to make these ?shaggy dog? bangs happen? Yep. Do I wish her hem wasn?t so confusing? Yep. Do I wish that Justin had given Jessica a prettier engagement ring? Yes. Do I think Justin is smug and full of it? Of course. But for what they are – an attractive couple who fancy themselves ?fashion royalty? while consistently missing the mark – they?re okay.
Jessica?s dress is Prada. I actually kind of like it. Right? It?s simple – perhaps too simple for the event, but it flatters her figure, and I kind of love the bejeweled pattern. I like how she put together her look too – the lime green Prada clutch and the Pink shoes are lovely with the dress. Basically, my only problem is with those God-awful bangs. Can you feel my eye twitching? Bangs like this always make me twitchy. Rose Byrne was doing a very similar hairstyle throughout this year?s awards season? so not only does Biel look awful, she?s not even ORIGINALLY awful.
As for Justin? eh. Meh. I don?t get why girls are on his jock, ever. But I?m glad that he and Jessica did the red carpet together. That?s a nice move.

| Elizabeth Banks in mismatch Mary Katrantzou at the Met Gala: fashion-forward or fug? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
I finally saw Hunger Games a couple of weeks ago, and even in my small town, the theater was crowded. The film was excellent, with an edge-of-your-seat plot that closely followed the books and some amazing scenery and costuming. Banks’ styling as Effie Trinket was so good that I barely even recognized her. At last night’s Met Gala it looked like she was channeling Effie somewhat, which is strange because at the premieres for the film she wore a lot of very bright solid-colored dresses by different designers. That’s sort-of her go-to look and it really works for her.
So it’s confusing to me that she chose a Mary Katrantzou contrasting pattern dress, to put it kindly, that comes off as cacophonous it’s so loud. Without the rounded capelet thing at the arms, and without the peplum “dust ruffle” bit around the waist, it might have worked. Even the slit straight down the front looks out of place. As it is, she just looks a little mortified in that dress, doesn’t she? It’s like her expression is apologetic and sad.
Banks’ shoes are kind of awesome at the rare moments they’re peeking out. Check out the sequin heels with the thin black straps. I love her blush-colored toes and nails, which match her peachy lips. Her makeup is very pretty. Her hair just looks greasy and like an poofy afterthought, though. It’s a shame because she’s really worked some fashion-forward looks in the past. This designer just failed her.

| Rihanna in sleek, black Tom Ford at the Met Gala: classy or still trashy? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
|
|
In a rare move, Rihanna toned down the sleaze and brought the glamour at the Met Gala. Is anyone else surprised that she’s not wearing tacky, cheap Stella McCartney like she did at last year’s event? I wonder what the story is there because RiRi usually loves her oddly-shaped, ill-fitting Stella designs. Strange.
For last night’s event, Rihanna wore a Tom Ford gown in a black crocodile-like fabric that was not only backless but was probably sewn onto her, never to be removed again. That body! Rihanna was covered up, but every nook and cranny is clearly visible, and the overall effect is surprisingly tasteful. The black nails are a little bit too much, but it’s the Met, so she gets a pass this time. To fully appreciate the shape of the dress on Rihanna’s body (and the Christian Louboutin heels), check out the side view.
Here’s the mid-length view, where you can really see how the fabric of the dress pops against the flashbulbs.
Rihanna’s makeup was quite simple with shades of nude for the lips and cheeks and a slightly more daring job in the eye department. She’s got such great bone structure.
Here’s the part of the dress that I like the most — the very dramatic back view. It’s sexy without being trashy and the way I wish Rihanna always dressed.

| Kristen Stewart in Balenciaga at the Met Gala: super-cute or super-fug? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Kristen Stewart attended the Met Gala last night. Do you find that shocking? You shouldn?t. Kristen is now the face of Balenciaga, and Nicolas Ghesquiere (I think that?s him) was her date. So? what do I like about this look? Two things. One, I really like her hair. It?s not particularly high-fashion or anything, and yes, it?s not right for the event, but I think her hair looks great here. Great color, great body, and I just love the curl. Two, I like that Kristen is actually trying, experimenting and having fun with fashion. She?s young – she has time to make big fashion mistakes, and I do like her more for trying.
That being said, this look is awful. Everything is just horrible – and it?s not Kristen?s fault. Sort of. I would imagine that as Ghesquiere?s date/muse and the official face of Balenciaga, Kristen would have had her choice, her pick. I don?t believe that Ghesquiere MADE her wear this. But he probably encouraged it, which makes this mostly his fault. As a designer, I feel he should have made a real choice here: color-block or reptile print. NOT BOTH. Put the two together, and you?ve just made a pretty young woman look like a color-blind crackie.
Also terrible: Kristen?s shoes. It looks like she?s wearing her beloved Converse, only in hideous bandage form.

| Hilary Swank in Michael Kors at the Met Gala: knockout or her styling is off? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
You know what’s weird? I saw Hilary Swank’s hair at the Met Gala here and I assumed she had very short hair and was wearing a full head of extensions. Then I looked at photos of her from the past couple of years, and realized she’s had long hair for quite a while. That’s how much I normally pay attention to her, sorry to say. Her hair is confusing me here, because her curls look like a different, lighter shade than the crown of her hair. She’s surely got some extensions in there, but I’m assuming that most of this hair is hers. It just looks fake to me and like a wig. Plus she could do with a little more makeup. She’s very pretty, and it looks like she’s wearing casual daytime makeup, not like she’s styled for a big event.
Hilary was in a scarlet red Michael Kors sleeveless floor-length gown that just looked incredible on her. I love the full yet formfitting skirt and the belt-like fit of the empire waist. It’s just a gorgeous dress overall and it flatters her so much. Some may call it boring, but I think it’s classic and elegant. It’s one of my favorite looks of the night.
Hilary posed with the designer, and you could tell they were both thrilled with her look. I love her vintage Fred Leighton drop earrings. They’re just perfect for this dress.

The brunette beauty was stopped by a Beverly Hills Police Officer while jaywalking, however, after talking for a few moments the cop let the "(500) Days of Summer" actress go with a verbal warning.
Whether she's on the small screen or walking the streets of 90210, the former "Friday Night Lights" starlet always looks gorgeous. The 31-year-old star kept up the trend during her week-beginning outing while clad in cuffed, cropped jeans, a bright yellow top and strappy sandals.
In other personal news, as previously reported by GossipCenter, Minka was recently in the nation's capital to help bring awareness to poverty at the Washington D.C. "Millennium Challenge."
She has been working with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), which is self-described as "an innovative and independent U.S. Government foreign aid agency that is helping lead the fight against global poverty through the promotion of sustainable economic growth," to help do her part in helping out the less fortunate.

| Gisele Bundchen in black Givenchy at the Met Gala: boringly beautiful? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
|
I?ve lost count of how many times Gisele Bundchen has been to the Met Gala. I only started paying attention when she and Tom Brady began walking the red carpet together. It?s now become an annual thing, and one of the few times in any given year when Gisele and Tom actually pose on a red carpet together. For this year?s Met Gala, I don?t really think Tom was at his best. Honestly, he looks pretty rough. And yes, his hair is really doing that. Did Gisele put him up to that? He?s said before that she?s in charge of his hair. Did she style him?
But Gisele looks good. She?s wearing this black Givenchy, which fits her like a glove. Gisele in Givenchy? it?s kind of boringly beautiful, right? I like it better than the red McQueen she wore last year, but this look feels like something we?ve seen a million times before, on many, many different girls. It also feels like this dress was Gisele?s second choice? Like she had something show-stopping as her first choice, but decided to go more low-key in black. The only thing I can really nit-pick on the dress is the weird front slit. I?m not opposed to a sexy slit, but I?m not sure if it fits on this dress.
I like the simplicity of Gisele?s styling – small earrings, no necklace, no bracelets, simple makeup. Dislike the hair – the Croydon facelift is not Gisele?s friend.

| Beyonce in feathered Givenchy at the Met Gala: just completely awful? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Beyonce flew solo at the Met Gala last night. And by ?solo? I mean without Jay-Z, because I?m pretty sure Bey had some stylists and feather-fluffers around her. Beyonce wore this feathered Givenchy MESS. I know I said Sofia was one of the worst looks (and she was), but can we all agree that Beyonce was probably THE worst of the evening? OMG. I can?t even believe what I?m seeing, that?s how bad it is. I feel like I?m hallucinating. And just think? last year, Beyonce tried to do the ?show-stopping? look of the night too – remember her vinyl dress which was so tight, she couldn?t even move? Think about that timeline too? Beyonce was ?pregnant? at last year?s Met Gala. And now, just a few months after ?giving birth,? Beyonce is at the gala once again, flashing all of her bits and pieces.
Shall we really go through all of the parts of this dress which are made of hideousness? Here?s an honest question: if you took off the purple feathers, would you like this dress more? Obviously, the purple feathers are a fug bridge too far, but even without them, I would hate this look. It?s too sheer, especially from behind. The sleeves and the bodice look too lingerie-y. And the lining throughout the bodice just looks cheap and swimsuit-y, like it was added as an afterthought.
Two more things: the dress has built-in gloves. Is that what it?s called? The sleeves are gloves. Sleeve-gloves. The effect is cheap. Second thing: I really dislike Beyonce?s blonde ponytail. I feel like it?s the same hairstyle Gwyneth Paltrow did for the Oscars.

| Carey Mulligan in fish-scaled Prada at the Met Gala: tacky or adorable? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Carey Mulligan walked her first red carpet as a married lady last night at the Met Gala. Carey married Marcus Mumford just a few weeks ago in England – and many hoped that the Met Gala carpet would be their debut as a red-carpet couple. Unfortunately, I didn?t spy any photos of Marcus. I think Carey went solo to the event. Everyone said she was wearing her wedding ring, but I think Carey was trying to make a point out of not ?flashing? the ring, because it?s really difficult to get a good angle on it in most of these photos.
Thankfully, she wasn?t just some fashion girl looking for some attention – Carey was the co-chair of the event, and as such, she probably got her pick of the Prada frocks going around. And this is what she chose. Fab Sugar says that Carey chose the design from a sketch, and Miuccia Prada had it delivered to Carey yesterday, just hours before the event.
I keep seeing the dress being described as ?gold? but it?s really ombre, right? That?s not just the lighting? The top part is gold, the bottom part is silver-grey. Thoughts on the metallic fish-scales? I almost always hate that kind of fish-scale plating, and I?m not crazy about it on this dress. In fact, my overwhelming affection for Carey might be affecting my opinion on this dress. Maybe it looked better in person? That might be it – because I don?t think it?s photographing that well. And that stiff, A-line skirt is just rough. I kind of love her big hair, though. But again, I love this girl. It?s affecting how I see this whole look.

| Kirsten Dunst in red-orange Rodarte at the Met Gala: stiff and matronly? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kirsten Dunst attended last night’s Met Gala, and I think it’s fair to state that Kiki is not into this sh-t. She looks awful, and it’s not the outfit, which is a quite lovely custom Rodarte gown in red-orange crepe wool that’s paired with a double-lapel jacket and a black belt. The outfit has a flattering shape and is clearly meant to be worn with a ton of confidence, but Kirsten just isn’t bringing it.
Quite frankly, Kirsten looks like a mannequin here. Her makeup is flat and uninspired, and her facial expression clearly demonstrates that she’d rather be elsewhere. However, I could be interpreting her attitude at this event entirely wrong because I just rewatched Melancholia over the weekend and might be projecting a “depressed” aura onto Kirsten. Am I seeing things, or does Kirsten look like she could topple over at any moment due to the sheer weight of the world?
You know who would’ve worn the hell out of this outfit? Tilda Swinton.
I will say that (in concept) Kirsten’s hair looks pretty good in retro waves wtih a lovely star-patterned, mega clip to pin back the sides. The execution is a bit sloppy, but that might have to do with the sour expression on Kirsten’s face that is throwing me off the scent of the whole look.

| Emma Stone in short, puffy, goofy Lanvin: what was she thinking?

|

Jetting off for their first family flight, Charlize Theron and her adorable son, Jackson, were spotted arriving at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, CA on Monday (May 7).
This was the first time the ?Young Adult? beauty brought her little man out into the spotlight! The 36-year-old actress looked gorgeous in a blue cardigan, skinny jeans and booties while she protected her boy from the shutterbug chaos.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the "Monster" actress was chosen to pose for the cover of this month?s Vogue UK issue, in which she opened up about Jackson and her feelings on being a mother.
In the publication, Charlize gushed about her newly adopted son, saying, ?He?s the coolest kid ever,? later adding, ?I?ve always been very honest in saying I wanted a family. I?ve always known I wanted a family.?

She's been busy in the studio crafting her first post-baby studio album after a four year break from music, but Pink made time to put together cover issue for the June 2012 edition of Cosmopolitan magazine.
The 32-year-old rock star looked foxy in fiery red, low-cut frock while opening up about topics including the lack of intimate time now that she's a mom and the pregnancy experience not being all that it's cracked up to be.
Highlights from Pink's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Cosmopolitan!
On how she and husband Carey rarely get alone time now that they're parents:
"We've never had a problem with affection. But with a baby? It's kinda gross, but you have to schedule it. [Willow] sleeps in bed with us. We're just starting to think about putting her somewhere else, at least for a little while. Either that, or we'll have to resort to getting it on in the laundry room."
On disagreeing with the notion that pregnancy makes a woman feel beautiful:
"I thought I'd feel like a goddess. They sell you on that...like you'll never feel more feminine. Really, I just felt like a mess."
On enjoying letting herself go for a period during her pregnancy:
"Hell, yeah, I gained 55 pounds. I think my baby may be part cheesecake."

| January Jones vs. Jessica Paré: which Mrs. Draper looked better at the Met Gala? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Unfortunately for all of us, the ladies of Mad Men were not completely represented at last night?s Met Gala. And by that I mean Christina Hendricks and her bountiful rack of awesomeness were not in attendance. Instead, we got the two Mrs. Drapers. (There are actually three Mrs. Drapers overall, but I guess no one counts Don Draper?s first wife!). January Jones (Mrs. Draper #2) and Jessica Par (Mrs. Draper #3) were both in attendance. January wore yellow & black Atelier Versace, a pretty standard bustier and mermaid-skirt design. January, as you may know, thinks she?s super-high-fashion. And you may remember, she rarely pulls off ?the look? she?s attempting. As for this dress… I?m not sure about the hip fins or anything, but her body looks great. I don?t care for this shade of yellow on her, though. I think that might be my biggest issue – the color doesn?t suit her.
While her hair looks fine in general, I don?t think this style really goes with the dress or the event. And I hate the combination of the turquoise necklace with the yellow dress. Your jewelry doesn?t have to be matchy-matchy, but it shouldn?t look so thrown together without any thought either.
Jessica Par wore L?Wren Scott, which? shows a great deal of fashion confidence, I think. I love L?Wren, and while she might not be the ?coolest? designer out there, the clothes are always beautiful and well-made. This coppery-bronze color really suits her coloring, and while this look isn?t going to be considered groundbreaking or incredible fashion-forward, it suits her and she looks beautiful. Well done!

| Cameron Diaz in silver Stella McCartney at the Met Gala: stunning & lovely? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
With Gwyneth Paltrow?s abandonment (for Prada), Stella McCartney had to choose another fashion girl to dress for last night?s Met Gala. So? she went with Cameron Diaz. Is Cameron the next choice after Gwyneth? Is that insulting to Cameron? Or Gwyneth? Or both? So, here?s Camy in Stella. I hate to admit it, but this might be one of Stella?s better designs. I like how covered-up Cameron is from the front, with the sexy open back as she?s going. I?m a big advocate for The More Sleeves Movement. We need more sleeves on the red carpet! I get tired of everything strapless all the time.
I even have to compliment Stella McCartney on the fit of this dress on Cameron. You can really see Camy?s wonderful figure, but it doesn?t feel trashy, I think. Does anyone else think Camy has gained some weight? I do. And I think it looks really good on her too. This is also one of the first times I?ve seen Cameron post-boob-job where I can really tell that she?s got bolt-ons. This dress makes her look very busty. As for the styling and such? Cameron?s face looks good. Not too Botoxy or waxy. Her hair?s kind of mess, but it?s a simply, uncomplicated mess. I like her simple jewelry too.
I?m including a photo of Cameron and Stella together. All of the photos claim the woman on the far right is M.I.A. Is that really her? She looks really different. Oh, and Stella looks awful! Why would she wear THAT to the Met Gala?

| Sofia Vergara in a grey Marchesa sack at the Met Gala: one of the worst looks? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|

|
Do you know how difficult it is to make Sofia Vergara look like hell? You really have to be trying and exerting yourself, because Sofia is a naturally beautiful woman who looks great in a variety of styles. But not this. Sofia wore Marchesa to the Met Gala last night, and from what I can see, many are already declaring her one of the worst-dressed women of the night. For the love of God, why would you put this gorgeous bombshell in a pale grey sack?!?!?!?!!?
Of course, it?s not a sack dress. It just LOOKS like a sack dress because of the ?oversized? nature of the bust and the peplum. Should I even call this a peplum? Usually I just refer to this horrible design trend as a ?dust ruffle? but even I can?t joke about this monstrosity. She looks like she?s wearing a curtain!!! Why would you do this to such a beautiful woman?
I can?t decide if Sofia knows that she?s not working this dress, and that this dress would have looked horrible on anyone. That?s the problem with the Met Gala – all of these girls want to be ?dressed? by their personal friend, the designer —. When you bring personal friendships into the mix, things get complicated. I wonder if Georgina Chapman had to talk Sofia into this dress, and Sofia got second thoughts on her way to the gala.
Oh, and I think Sofia?s hair sucks too. She has great hair, and you can do so much with it! Why would you part it down the middle and tuck it behind her ears? Is that a ?high fashion? style now?

| Gwyneth Paltrow in Prada at the Met Gala: mullet-y fugness or ice queen beauty? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Gwyneth Paltrow attended last night?s Met Gala, of course. She comes nearly every year, because it?s like the Mecca of Fashion Girls. Last night?s theme was ?Schiaparelli and Prada ‘Impossible Conversations??. So of course Dame Paltrow wore Prada, instead of her usual ass-kissy Stella McCartney. I actually thought this Prada WAS Stella at first, just because it seems like the cut is off somehow, which seems a hallmark of Stella McCartney?s designs: a bad fit. Anyway, this dress is like the fancier cousin of the mullet dress – it has the soul of a mullet dress, yet I would not really say that it?s a full-on mullet. The color – a pale, icy white-blue-silver (depending on the light) – seems pretty obvious for Goop. She loves her icy, artic colors.
Thoughts on the side-boob? I really do think she had a boob job. Thoughts on the short dress to a gala event? Eh. Gwyneth wasn?t the only girl going with a shorter dress. I think if you?re ever going to wear a full-length gown, it should be to the Met Gala (and the Oscars), but I guess Goop considers herself to be a ?fashion risk taker? and ?rule-breaker?. Plus, she fancies herself ahead of the curve, mullet-wise. Overall, though, I don?t really hate this look on Gwyneth. It?s not groundbreaking, and it?s not surprising. It?s also not bad. The fit could be better, but? I don?t have a hate-on for it.
Goop?s shoes are Prada too, by the way! I really like her shoes, they might be my favorite part. My least favorite part? Her hair. She needs to stop with the center part.

Shortly after celebrating her 31st birthday, Jessica Alba was spotted strolling along the streets of New York City on Monday afternoon (May 7).
The "Honest Company" founder looked chic as she rocked black tights under a tribal print dress adorned with black booties, while she sipped on a warm beverage and chatted with a friend.
In personal news, the 31-year-old actress took to her blog page and opened up about keeping her relationship alive with hubby Cash Warren despite a busy household and raising their two daughters, Honor and Haven.
In her post, Miss Alba describes her chaotic lifestyle by explaining, "Diapers are a certainty. Sleepless nights, coffee, and concealer (lots of it) are probably guaranteed too. Having time to see a movie or enjoy a glass of wine by yourself -- let alone with your husband -- before your kids head off to college? I know -- it feels like an impossibility or a far-off dream."
Even though the statement above definitely sounds like a hefty task, the "Sin City" actress says it can be done with organization, adding, "Maintaining a family schedule is the key to making time for each other. Whether we?re settling into the couch to watch bad reality television or getting a babysitter so we can enjoy a date night out, we always know we have dedicated time after the girls are asleep to catch up, discuss what?s on our minds, and simply just be with each other..."
