One of the dumbest gossip melodramas during the pandemic was definitely the split between Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich. They basically started having problems as soon as they got married, and the marriage was on its last legs by the summer of 2019. When the pandemic happened, they went into lockdown separately, and Hough was seen out with Ben Barnes a few times. Then as the months went on and it looked like Brooks was moving on and a happy single guy with photogenic dogs, suddenly Julianne got depressed (and brunette). Then the stories about ?Julianne desperately wants to get back with Brooks? started happening. And now here we are. They were seen out together in LA. And she?s leaking sh-t to People:
Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich are continuing to spend time together after their split. The friendly exes were spotted grabbing lunch together in Los Angeles on Thursday. The two were photographed sitting outside of an Italian restaurant while eating. Hough and Laich were later seen leaving together.
The two have shared several friendly interactions with one another since they confirmed to PEOPLE in May that they had separated after three years of marriage. And a source tells PEOPLE Laich is interested in rekindling the romance.
Brooks really still wants to make it work and shes considering it but taking her time. Hes open to whatever it will take, says the source, adding that Hough also still feels positively for her ex. ?Julianne likes the idea of freedom but doesnt want to lose such a good, solid guy. Everyone who knows him knows how grounded and great he is. Her friends and family dont want her to lose someone like that.
Most recently, Laich was in attendance at Houghs 32nd birthday party. The former athlete was spotted in several social media posts from the day spent by the pool. Theyve also left several supportive messages to each other on Instagram over the past months.

By that I mean, leaking stuff about how your ex is desperate to get back with you and you?re the one with qualms, when really you?ve been desperate to get back with him. One of the last times we discussed Julianne Hough and her husband Brooks Laich, she announced in a magazine that she told Brooks one day ?you know I?m not straight, right?? And thus, Julianne came out as bisexual, which was a surprise to me, and she made it sound like it was a surprise to her husband too. Before then, both Brooks and Julianne were pretty open about disagreements and fights within their marriage and I often said that Brooks struck me as shockingly non-toxic about some sensitive issues. Well, over the past week or so, Brooks has put out a few messages on Instagram about the new year and his goals for 2020. He said he wants to explore more about intimacy and his sexuality in 2020, and he also wrote this:
I feel like a lot of my life has been ?bound? to certain identities that have come through the sport I spent my life playing. Canadian, male, hockey player, disciplined, competitive, etc and though I am all of those things, they do not define me, and I am not bound by them.
In 2020 I look forward to releasing old identities, and stepping into a new chapter in my life. I find myself wanting to officially say the words ?I retire? from professional hockey, instead of vehemently resisting it as I have been for the last 2 years. I feel a new stage of life calling me, and though I don?t exactly know what it is yet, it feels right, and exciting!

Apparently, Julianne and Brooks have not been seen with their wedding rings and according to People Mag, they?ve hit a ?rough patch.?
Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich have hit a rough patch in their marriage, multiple sources confirm to PEOPLE.
?They?ve been having problems for months,? one source says. ?She?s very independent and a free spirit, and that?s been tough for Brooks and their marriage.? But a second insider says the couple, who have been married for two years, haven?t given up hope on their relationship. ?It seems they are not giving up, but also not talking about it. They want to do this their way. They don?t want to discuss their marriage. They have been having problems, but many people do,? the insider explains.
Many fans noticed Hough, 31, was without her wedding ring as she celebrated the New Year with Carson Daly while co-hosting NBC?s New Year?s Eve. She was also ringless in a Dec. 24 Instagram video, but it is unclear if she has completely stopped wearing her wedding band. Laich, 36, did wear his ring in a Jan. 2 workout video.
?Maybe it?s a just a phase, maybe not,? the insider adds. ?But either way they are not going to address it publicly right now.?

Judging from his IG messages, Julianne isn?t the only free spirit in the marriage. I think he?s exploring different things too, although that might be a reaction to Julianne?s vibe, or a reaction to his marriage troubles. I don?t know? I sort of liked them together, and I?m saying that as someone who finds her sort of annoying. I wish them the best, but I doubt they?ll make it through the year.

I’m blonde now, but I was a redhead up until about five years ago. I sometimes feel like a redhead still, if that makes sense, and a significant percentage of my friends have red hair, it’s a popular color. (Most of them are dye jobs and they won’t mind me saying that. Love you guys!) In the fall of 2016 I went red again as it felt right for me. Because I’m mostly gray, it was so hard to maintain. The dark color didn’t hide the new growth and I ended up going back to blonde in a few months.
While I like to think that being a redhead suited me, maybe I looked as different to some people as Julianne Hough looks to me. She dyed her hair red recently and was gushing about it on social media. I totally get what she’s saying about feeling like a redhead, it’s hard to explain but some of us just identify as gingers even though we’re blondes, but I don’t think this color suits her.
