As many of you know and certainly all of my Twitter followers know I?ve increasingly turned to tennis & tennis gossip to decompress from the fiery insanity of American politics. I?ve become obsessed with the minutiae of tennis beefs and tennis romances and all of that. So I?ve been following Grigor Dimitrov?s relationship with Nicole Scherzinger. I know many of you won?t care about this, BUT I CARE. I CARE VERY DEEPLY. Please don?t make me write about politics again today! Just let me write about tennis peeps!
Grigor Dimitrov was an up-and-coming tennis player when he allegedly dated Serena Williams for about a week, many years ago. Many believe that Serena?s now-infamous comment about ?the guy with the black heart? was about none other than Dimitrov. Why the shade? Because Dimitrov went from Serena to Maria Sharapova. Dimitrov and Sharapova were actually engaged for a time, but they split back in 2016 (-ish). Ever since then, he?s been with Nicole Scherzinger. There was recently an Us Weekly story about how they might have broken up, but as you can see in these photos? they?re still together.
Grigor went out in the FIRST ROUND of Wimbledon several weeks ago, and he?s basically been on a yacht ever since. The yacht is currently around Saint-Tropez. I actually don?t think Nicole has been with him the entire time? I think she just got on the yacht this weekend, maybe, and then they decided to pose for these super-natural and super-sexy photos. Incidentally, Grigor is 27 years old and Nicole is 40. He?s often characterized as her ?tennis boy-toy,? but for what it?s worth, Dimitrov is a mildly big deal in tennis. He?s never won a Slam, but he?s a top 10 player and he won the tournament in Cincinnati last year, as well as the 2017 ATP World Tour Final title. He?s not just a good-looking dude with a sugar mama. But he might be the dude with the black heart (who likes older women).

On Friday, we learned the absolutely bizarre news that Oscar-winner Tom Hooper is going to be directing a film adaptation of the musical Cats. We also learned that it would star Ian McKellen, Jennifer Hudson and? Taylor Swift. On the same day this film was announced, Taylor stepped out in New York in the lace-and-leopard-print ensemble you see in these photos. Do you get it? SHE?S A CAT. She?s a big cat, a leopard, or maybe a cheetah. The important thing is that whenever you see Taylor, you think ?she?s a cat, I remember now.? Anyway, this ensemble is awful. The skirt is hiked up way too high and the lace top with a sports bra underneath makes it look like she?s bizarrely wearing a flesh-colored wide belt. The shoes are struggling too. Now, all that being said, I like that Taylor is back to pap-strolling. I?ve actually missed this.
Meanwhile, did you hear about Taylor getting sued? Taylor has a game now called The Swift Life. Except The Swift Life was registered as a business name in 2007, by a small computer company business.
Taylor Swift flat-out stole her gaming app, The Swift Life so claims a tiny computer company that is going after the singer in court. SwiftLife a computer consulting company claims it owned its name since 2007, and then Taylor came along and just jacked it.
SwiftLife is a one-man company and its owner, Patrick Benot, says he was never contacted by the singer or her reps they just took it to launch the digital gaming experience app The Swift Life. Benot goes on to say Taylor and her people know full well about the ins and outs of trademarking products shes trademarked 64 items herself, so there is no excuse. Benot says her app has caused him endless grief he has an email called help@swiftlife.com and it has been flooded with people confusing his little company with Taylors gaming app.

This seems to me like a pretty open-and-shut trademark issue. If it?s handled out-of-court, it will probably involve Taylor paying this guy to go away and paying him to hand over the rights to the trademark. But if he wanted to put up a fight, he could, because he IS right: Taylor and her lawyers know all about trademarks. They?ve tried to trademark everything from Welcome to New York to ?this sick beat? and more. Weird that no one ever bothered to check the trademark on The Swift Life?
