The People Magazine exclusives about Kim Kardashian continue to read like entries from Kim?s diary. I?ve suggested previously that People & Kim have some kind of under-the-table deal for weekly exclusives about what?s going on in her life and the state of her marriage. I still believe that! At least this week?s update feels truthy. People?s sources claim that Kanye West is ?struggling? with the end of his marriage. This too is why Kim hasn?t filed for divorce yet I still believe that Kim is very wary of triggering a manic episode in Kanye, and she?s aware of how her moves might affect his mental health.
By all accounts, Kim Kardashian and estranged husband Kanye West are heading towards divorce ? and a source close to the rapper tells PEOPLE that he is struggling as reality sets in.
Kanye is not doing well, the source tells PEOPLE in its latest issue. He is anxious and very sad. He knows that the marriage is over, and theres nothing that can be done right now. He also knows what he is losing in Kim.
According to sources, 2020 proved to be a trying year for the famous couple. In January 2021, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Kardashian plans to end her marriage with West. They are just not on the same page when it comes to their future as a family, one insider told PEOPLE at the time. And Kim is okay with it.
In addition to Kardashians public support of West, she has also been a mediator between him and her family. She has defended him privately to her family, the source says. She has stood beside him at a time where a few wives would have done that.
While no divorce papers have yet been filed, multiple sources tell PEOPLE that a split is imminent. There is very little hope of reconciliation, says the source. It would have to be a miracle. But Kanye does believe in miracles.
Kardashian, 40, is the primary caregiver for the couples four children: daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 3, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, who turns 2 in May. She has told her inner circle that she wants West to be a part of their lives.
Kim has made it clear that Kanye can talk to his children anytime he wants, says the source. She has never threatened to keep him from the kids. She only requires that he is not going to damage them. Kanye can FaceTime the kids anytime he wants. He hasnt been great about that, but everyone is encouraging him to do it.
Kim doesnt want to hurt him, the source continues. She just knows she cant be married to him anymore. He is very aware that she has been a good wife. He still loves her very much. But he understands.

I know this is Kim?s version of events, but I believe this? Weeks ago, we heard that Kanye was over the marriage too, that he couldn?t wait to divorce Kim, but that never rang true for me? Kim really has been ride-or-die, for better or for worse, and Kanye thought she would stay that way forever. She stayed with him even when he was saying and doing some horrendous sh-t. Plus, the current version of Kanye is super-churchy and very ?conservative.? That?s another aspect of it he thinks of himself as a man of God, who knows God?s will, and now he?s just some fallible dude whose wife wants a divorce.

In 2017, Salma Hayek wrote a NYT op-ed detailing the years of harassment, abuse and threats she faced from Harvey Weinstein. Because of Salma?s friendships and professional relationships with Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, that meant she often worked on films where Weinstein was the producer or distributor. The abuse ramped up around the production of Frida, with Weinstein leveraging his power to make Salma?s life a living hell on a daily basis. I bring this up because Salma has faced some really odious harassment and abuse during her career, but I?m not sure her story about doing a love scene in Desperado is one of those stories? I mean, it?s not great, and Salma takes pains to say that everyone was professional and lovely. But the story is kind of? ugh.
Salma Hayek on Monday went into detail about her experience shooting the love scene in her breakout film, Desperado, making it clear her trauma had nothing to do with the director or the star. The Oscar-nominated actress dropped by Armchair Expert, the popular weekly podcast hosted by Dax Shepard and Monica Padman. Among the topics they discussed was Hayeks first big break in Hollywood, 1995s Desperado, directed by Robert Rodriguez and starring Antonio Banderas. Hayek has previously noted she struggled with the love scene but opened up about the situation to Shepard and Padman.
Thrilled to land the role of the tough-as-nails Carolina in the Columbia Pictures film, Hayek said there was no mention of a love scene between her character and Banderas El Mariachi in the script. It was brought to her attention after production began. Telling Shepard and Padman that Rodriguez was her bro and his then-wife, producer Elizabeth Avelln, was her best friend, Hayek agreed to do the scene on a closed set. It would just be the four of them.
So, when we were going to start shooting, I started to sob, Hayek said, adding she kept saying to the other three people, I dont know that I can do it. Im afraid. She continued, One of the things I was afraid of was Antonio ? he was an absolute gentleman and so nice, and were still super close friends ? but he was very free. It scared me that for him, it was like nothing. I started crying, and he was like, Oh my God. Youre making me feel terrible. And I was so embarrassed that I was crying.
Hayek made clear several times that Rodriguez and Banderas were amazing and that Rodriguez never put pressure on me, but nonetheless, the moment was very traumatic and she recalls it vividly.
I was not letting go of the towel, she said. They would try to make me laugh. I would take it off for two seconds and start crying again. But we got through it. We did the best with what we could do at the time.
In the film, the love scene is done in quick cuts. Hayek said that was the best she could do among the starts and stops. When youre not you, then you can do it. But I keep thinking of my father and my brother, she explained of her hurdle. And are they going to see it? And are they going to get teased? Guys dont have that. Your father will be, Yeah! Thats my son!

The thing I?m catching on is that there was no love scene in the script, and then they asked her to do a love scene with nudity!! when the production already started. Even back then (the ?90s), there were all kinds of contractual clauses and negotiations between agents, directors, producers, etc. It would have been completely and totally inappropriate for Rodriguez to go to Salma one day once the production had already begun and ask her to do a love scene like that. I know that?s not the point of her story the point of her story is that it was her first love scene and she panicked and no one mistreated her that time. But WTF was going on with Rodriguez, the producers and her agent? Hmmm.

At this time last year, Gwyneth Paltrow was still traveling. We really didn?t know! I believe Gwyneth went to Europe in February 2020 to check out some of the fashion shows. Around the same time, she posted an Instagram about mask-wearing and she warned people to wash their hands. Soon after, the pandemic came to Europe and North America in a huge way. While Gwyneth still shilled her goop-branded crap, I would like to point out that at no point did Gwyneth try to sell some snake-oil cure for Covid-19. Sure, she?ll shill stickers which purportedly cure cancer, but she didn?t fk around with Covid. Gwyneth encouraged people to stay in lockdown, to wear masks, to social distance, and to take all of it seriously. As it turns out, Gwyneth still got Covid ?early on.?
Gwyneth Paltrow is opening up about her personal experience with the novel coronavirus. In a new post on her Goop website, the 48-year-old actress revealed that she had COVID-19 early on, and it left me with some long-tail fatigue and brain fog.
In January, I had some tests done that showed really high levels of inflammation in my body. So I turned to one of the smartest experts I know in this space, the functional medicine practitioner Dr. Will Cole. After he saw all my labs, he explained that this was a case where the road to healing was going to be longer than usual, she wrote.
According to the star, she has been focusing on what she puts into her body since recovering from the virus, adhering to a flexible keto and plant-based diet and refraining from sugar and alcohol.
So Ive been cooking a lot, and some of it is really delicious: I made scallops with crispy capers and sage the other day, asparagus with bacon vinaigrette, and some little artichokes with stuffed herbs and garlic, Paltrow wrote, explaining that shes been using lots of coconut aminos in my recipes.
Paltrow also shared that shes now taking supplements in service of a healthier gut.
Everything Im doing feels good, like a gift to my body. I have energy, Im working out in the mornings, and Im doing an infrared sauna as often as I can, all in service of healing, she wrote. A side benefit is my skin, which makes me happy?and makes me want to double down on skin care even more. Lets make 2021 the year of never needing makeup, people!

Many, many people who had serious cases of Covid report a loss of smell and taste, but Gwyneth wants us to know that she?s not like those peasants. She still has her senses, but she?s in a Covid fog and very fatigued. Which has also been widely reported this virus is exhausting and people can?t think straight. All that being said, I would be tired and foggy-brained too if I was on a Keto, plant-based diet. Of course Gwyneth Damn Paltrow is using her bout of coronavirus to go on an even stricter diet. That?s her answer for everything: go on a diet! Anyway, I do feel sorry for her a little bit. At least she wasn?t one of those people who minimized the pandemic. And? Lets make 2021 the year of never needing makeup, people doesn?t she have a makeup line? LOL.

Eva Mendes famously plays her hand close to the vest when it comes to her family. If we know anything about her life with partner, Ryan Gosling or her two girls, Esmeralda, six, and Amada, four, it?s only because Eva allowed us that small glimpse. I applaud her for it, I think everyone should be allowed to keep their family out of the public eye if that?s important to them. Since lockdown has been in place, Eva has opened up ever so slightly on parenting while quarantined. Nothing salacious. If anything, she is posting accessible content, reaching out to fellow moms who might be having a hard time as we near the one-year anniversary of Stay At Home here in California. On Tuesday, Eva posted a photo of herself in a robe with a caption about parenting during quarantine that was both humorous and recognizable. In her caption, she said full time parenting was starting to get to her and added a few IG?s she?s been following that?s helped her get through so far:

This is the latest in a collection of posts in which Eva admits lockdown has been getting tougher. Again, she doesn?t unload with specifics or lengthy paragraphs about where she is. She gives more general information that is completely relatable to anyone in the same headspace. Sometimes her comments are just funny momisms. And sometimes there?s weight behind her humor in which she lets her followers know that its hard right now. I know some of you are really enjoying your time at home and have been lucky enough to secure your income. If this period has been good for you, thats great and you have every right to enjoy it. But for those who aren?t thriving right now, I feel you. Eva has young kids. I?ve said a few times I don?t know how I would have gotten through this with toddlers or babies. For all you moms of small children, I salute you. I checked out the IGs Eva suggested above, they are geared towards younger children and look good. Themompsychologist and latinxparenting especially had some good lists and series to check out.
My kids aren?t young, so I can?t exactly identify with Eva, but I relate in another way. Without boring you guys, I?ll just say I feel the schools in my area are failing the students. Both my kids confidences are shattered so I have to rebuild them and their grades. Or, as Eva put it, Ive had to become full on. This pandemic is difficult, guys. And with the end date constantly getting pushed back, it seems like were never getting out of it. I think Evas got the right idea. Take it one day at a time, do what we need to but its okay to say its rough every once in a while. And if you have any tips and tricks that make it better, pass them along to each other.
