| Amber Rose and Val Chmerkovskiy split up right in time for Valentine's day | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

You know Valentine’s Day is getting close when couples who haven’t been together long start breaking up (speaking from experience here, of course). The latest celebrity to cancel his Pro Flowers order for Tuesday is Dancing with the Stars hoofer Val Chmerkovskiy, whose five month relationship with model/talk show host/unusual beauty treatment advocate Amber Rose has reportedly come to an end. Please tell me I’m not the only one who didn’t know these two were an item.
Amber, 33, met Val, 30 when she was competed on season 23 of Dancing with the Stars. Her partner was Val’s brother, Maks. The couple kept things low key before they were spotted getting cozy at Amber’s 33rd birthday party in October. Amber posted cute coupley pics on social media. A source told People Magazine at the time that “They met through Maks and really like each other. It?s very new, but it?s going well.? Things seemed to be going well, at least if Amber’s Instagram was to be believed. Just a few weeks ago, she posted a pic with Val, mid-smooch in the Big Apple.
NYC nights ???

| Jennifer Lopez in Ralph & Russo at the Grammys: lovely or boring? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Yes, I?m a Jennifer Lopez Apologist, so I was looking forward to seeing her at the Grammys. She hasn?t been everywhere during this awards season, which is unusual for J.Lo, and I was actually missing her a little bit. Jennifer wore this lilac Ralph & Russo gown which feels like it?s a bit too much for the Grammys. But since it?s J.Lo, I understand. Plus, I think the color is pretty and she looks great overall. She really, really did not want to talk about Drake though, did she?
Laverne Cox wore this Bryan Hearns dress and Laverne was really feeling herself. She was having a great time, she felt sexy, she looked sexy and everything was on fleek. Seriously, she looked amazing. That ponytail was everything.
Tori Kelly in Badgley Mischka. I felt a little bit sorry for her – she?s young, she?s cute, she?s got a nice voice, but she had no business taking part in that Bee Gees tribute. As for the dress? it?s pretty. Too many ruffles, but it?s fine.

| Rihanna in a two-piece Armani at the Grammys: stunning or strange? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Any other year, and we might have had more time for Rihanna. Rihanna was actually up for several Grammys too, but it was a weird combination of events. First, everyone was so focused on Beyonce and Adele. Secondly, Rihanna arrived late on the red carpet, she didn?t perform and she didn?t win. So I think a lot of people just forgot that she was even there. Which is so weird, because she?s Rihanna. Anyway, she wore this Armani Prive two-piece dress and even though it?s not my favorite thing, I kind of dig it. It?s great on Rihanna, specifically for the Grammys. I might not like it on anyone else at another show. Rihanna looked gorgeous overall – her hair, her makeup, everything. She?s so beautiful.
Also: Rihanna brought her flask and now everyone is obsessed with RiRi drinking from a bejeweled flask. She also seemed to spend a lot of time with Ed Sheeran and Chance.

I was surprised by Daya on the red carpet – I love her voice, and I guess I was expecting someone who seemed a bit tougher. She?s just a tiny little thing, and she’s sort of a nothingburger in person. She wore this Balmain dress which was a total snooze. Bonus photo of Nick Jonas, also wearing Balmain (I love that so many dudes are wearing Balmain these days – it?s the Kanye Effect, I think).

| Chrissy Teigen in Roberto Cavalli at the Grammys: lovely or forgettable? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Chrissy Teigen was her husband’s plus one at the Grammy’s last night and so she wore this kind of cookie cutter sexy black cutout gown by Cavalli. This is revealing without looking like it’s going to expose anything (she’s had that problem before) and it’s interesting without being particularly unique. I do like her styling as she’s ditched the too-long extensions in favor of a wavy lob. We saw a few of these last night and I like it.
In case you missed John Legend’s In Memorium performance with Cynthia Erivo you can watch it here.
Lea Michele was also wearing Cavalli and I have to say that her styling is terrible. She looks like a sexy zombie with that Pink eye makeup and what looks like no mascara or eyeliner. Her bronzer is in desperate need of blending. Is this what happens when you trust a new makeup artist to experiment on you? I would wash this off and do my own makeup if someone tried to send me looking like this to an event. Also she’s wearing a ton of body glitter, which is just try hard. This dress has fancy lampshade vibes and it’s both busy and fug.
Halsey was in a couture tracksuit by Christian Wijnants. She was going for a 90s TLC look and I think she could have achieved that while wearing the shirt which was intended to go with this outfit. She didn’t need to do the thirsty open jacket belly chain look, which Nev Schulman’s fiance did first.
Also, I like Haley’s outfit during the ceremony, a Julien Macdonald studded mullet dress, better. This was better looking in motion.

Country singer Maren Morris was up for a lot of awards, and she won in a single category, Best Country Solo Performance for “My Church.” She had a few outfit changes too. Maren’s purple Michael Costello gown on the red carpet was somewhat unimpressive despite the engineering which must have gone into making that lace bodice fit so snug. She changed into a different Michael Costello, a sparkly bodysuit with a cape, for her performance with Alicia Keys (you can watch that here) and her press room dress was Genny. I’m not feeling any of these and it’s like she’s taking fashion tips from Carrie Underwood.

| Carrie Underwood in Ellie Madi at the Grammys: too fussy or decent? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|

|
This is a post dedicated to some of the women in red at the Grammys last night, with bonus Celine Dion. First off we have Carrie Underwood in Ellie Madi. This is standard issue Carrie Underwood, fussy, sparkly, too many details, but I have to say I like her styling. Plus the bell sleeves on this gown are cool, they add some much-needed interest to the dress. Imagine this dress in a solid fabric without all the panels, lace and sequins or with just fabric plus the sequin bands. It would be a very cool silhouette. She paired it with gold platform heels (why?) but I like her styling. It’s like she showed restraint there, or maybe she has better people now. Carrie performed “The Fighter” with Keith Urban last night and it was kind of forgettable.
Faith Hill was in Zuhair Murad and I thought this look was incredible. The dress originally came with a wide sash belt and it was a good idea to go without it. Her styling and accessories complement this perfectly and she didn’t even bother to change for her presenting gig, which was smart because she didn’t need to.
Also in Zuhair Murad we have Celine Dion and I love Celine but her fashion veers toward wacky often. This is so 80s with the poofy sleeves, big belt, side ruffle and wavy sequin lines.
Thankfully Celine changed into a black Thierry Mugler gown for presenting. With this second look her jewelry was the real star. This velvet gown is gorgeous and I love the cut and the ring at the shoulder but I couldn’t stop staring at her earrings, bracelet and ring.

Getting back to the ladies in red we have Mya in Styland. There’s something so fun about this and I like that she went with a pantsuit. It looks both comfortable and stylish.
Charli XCX was in a red Vivienne Westwood gown which seems too serious for the Grammys. It’s a cool-looking dress, it’s very Jessica Rabbit and vampy, it just would be better suited to a more formal awards ceremony.
So Charli made up for her very staid formal gown by wearing a Moschino bikini-printed dress to the after party. No.

| Katy Perry in Tom Ford at the Grammys: Real Housewife chic or fabulous? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|

|
2016 was the year I finally got on the Katy Perry Train. I?d always been sort of meh on her as an artist and as a celebrity. But it felt like she grew up, got political, put her time and money where her mouth is, and generally started taking no prisoners. I also think she came out ahead, long-term, with the whole Taylor Swift thing, but other people are free to disagree. In any case, I was looking forward to Katy?s next chapter and I had high hopes for her new album. But the first single kind of sucks (it?s just too generic-pop) and I?m not liking her new ?look? either. Her hair looks so much like Khloe Kardashian?s hair. And Katy?s Tom Ford dress at the Grammys was? no bueno. It was super-unflattering and I couldn?t even believe it was Tom Ford. She just looks like a Real Housewife now. Ugh.
I feel like I?m so old but I have zero idea why I should care about Kelsea Ballerini or the way she spells her name (KELSEA are you joking?). But here she is. She looks a bit like Elisabeth Moss, right? She wore Ines di Santo. I don?t hate it? It feels like something Taylor Swift would have worn five years ago.
Camila Cabello is famous for being one part of Fifth Harmony? before she split with the group last year, in what was an absorbing drama for tweens. This was Camila?s ?first time? at the Grammys as a solo celebrity, and her fans were waiting for her. Like, I saw so much stuff about her on Twitter, and I was sitting there like, ?Really? The Fifth Harmony girl?? Anyway, Camila wore this MIRI Couture gown which? seems a bit princess-y for the Grammys. It?s rock and roll, not the Golden Globes! (Also, this looks like a mall dress, which is probably on-brand for her.)

| Amy Adams in Tom Ford at the BAFTAs: unique or fug? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Amy Adams was nominated for best actress at the BAFTAs, for Arrival, a category for which she was robbed of an Oscar nomination this year. She was also supporting her Nocturnal Animals director, Tom Ford, who was nominated in his category. Those categories went to Emma Stone and Damien Chazelle for La La Land. (I don’t get it, but my sappy friends who are so in love and post their entire relationship on Facebook love it. I guess romantic people think it’s adorable.) So she wore Tom Ford and the result was – not good. This looks like something Ford would make for Julianne Moore. It’s a sack of a dress, there’s some weird stuff hanging off the back and it’s not flattering at all. From the front it’s just a plain straight strapless gown with a green velvet border, but check out the back. It’s got mesh, a velvet ribbon and it’s gathers around her bottom in a way that looks like an afterthought.
Here’s Bryce Dallas Howard in Solace London. I really dislike this extremely deep v-neck dress trend, but as far as that style goes this isn’t bad. This is sexy, it’s glamorous, and I like how she chose to accessorize with some simple bangle bracelets and killer earrings. Bryce looks great but she needs to stop with the injectables as she’s looking a bit pinched. She was there with her dad, director Ron Howard.
Thandie Newton is really slaying this awards season, just by being Thandie. She’s the real standout on Westworld and her career seems to be on an upswing. There’s news that she’s in talks to join the Han Solo movie, which would be a great idea. She was wearing Osman and I don’t know if I like this huge curtain of hair she’s sporting but look at this gown it’s so elegant. I love the very feminine pointed bustline and the little embroidered flowers sitting daintily on one side of the waist. This is stunning.

| Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton at the BAFTAs: super-cute or tedious? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Michelle Williams has gone to every awards show this year know that she?s going to lose to Viola Davis. Still, she?s hustled and campaigned and worn an endless amount of Louis Vuitton (fulfilling her contract with the label). My guess is that Michelle knows it will eventually be ?her time,? and she?s making sure people remember that she?s always been accommodating during the awards season. As for this LV look at the BAFTAs? I?m shocked that it?s not some kind of Civil War bride-cosplay. So? I?ll take it. Perhaps it?s one of her best LV looks this season?
Naomie Harris in Gucci. Oh, honey. NO. A few years ago, I was saying that Naomie was one of the most consistently well-dressed women on the red carpet. But she?s been all over the place during this awards season, and this might be the worst.
Noomi Rapace. I?m sort of speechless. I thought she was someone else, and I thought she was someone much older. That wig? not such a great idea.
Speaking of OH HONEY NO DON’T DO THAT, here’s Caitriona Balfe in Valentino. My God. No. Please, no.

Here?s Jamie Dornan and his wife Amelia Warner. I love her dress and I think they look fantastic together, which is odd for me because I usually don?t have strong feelings about them.

| Emma Stone in a two-piece Chanel at the BAFTAs: interesting or bizarre? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Here are some photos of Emma Stone at last night?s BAFTAs. Her dress is Chanel. At first I was like, ?Oh, she did a tea-length Chanel dress, that?s sort of interesting.? Then it became, ?WAIT ARE THOSE PANTS?? This isn?t just a Chanel dress. It has matching skinny Capri pants underneath the dress. Is this the new trend? Like, in the ?90s, girls wore dresses over jeans all the time. The slipdress-over-jeans thing was very popular. But a high-fashion version of it for Chanel, with Capri pants and a tea-length dress? I don?t know, guys. I think my issue is with both of the lengths together. Like, either the pants should be longer or the dress should be shorter, right? Incidentally, Emma won Best Actress at the BAFTAs. She?s now pretty much a sure thing for an Oscar. Also: La La Land won Best Film, because UGH.
Considering all of the style f–kery that Nicole Kidman has been showcasing this awards season, this Armani look was a sweet relief. Is it the most beautiful thing she?s ever worn? No. But it?s okay. I like her in something streamlined and I like that she styled it with simple hair.
While I did not (and do not) believe that Emily Blunt should have been nominated for a BAFTA for The Girl on the Train (the nom should have gone to Ruth Negga), I have to admit? Emily?s gown was one of my favorites at the BAFTAs. She wore McQueen and it?s stunning.
Felicity Jones in Dior. Felicity?s style was all over the place during the Rogue One promotional tour and I?ve come to the conclusion that she really doesn?t care about fashion. I think she just wears whatever her stylist gives her, or whatever is available. This dress feels like it was rejected by like five women before it got to Felicity, who wore it with a ?meh, I guess it?s okay? attitude. That?s how I feel about it too. Also: bonus Dev Patel, who won Best Supporting Actor!
