Stepping out for some media duties, Jennifer Lawrence paid a visit to ?The Late Show with Stephen Colbert? on Monday night (December 14).
The ?Hunger Games? hottie talked about her recent discover of The Golden Record, noting that she?s not a fan of sending information about Earth into outer space.

Jennifer has been making the rounds to promote Joy, which has already earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy. She stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night ? here?s a lengthy clip of her interview:
She joked about losing her Southern accent (I don?t think she?s lost it completely), whether her publicist hates her, and puking, of course, because she?s J-Law and she has to talk about bodily functions. She got a stomach virus while working on Joy in Boston last year and this is what she said:
“I got a stomach virus. I was puking and the poor guy?I had to make out with somebody?we were like spinning and I’d start puking and then I’d like do mouth wash and be like, ‘Hey, you ready?? Licking my chops like, ‘Ugh, let’s do it!’ I puked yesterday. I’m a puker. I’m a big-time puker. I think I have, like, nervous…I think that I don’t stop working, because I’m a show pony. I don’t have a choice. So, I just keep going, I think, until eventually my body’s just like, ‘If we don’t make her barf or pass out, she won’t stop.? I get, like, Lindsay Lohan grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol. I’m always in bed early, but I’m still tired.”

While J-Law is America?s Farty Sweetheart?, I think it?s a mistake to name-check Lindsay Lohan in any way. We?re almost done with Lindsay at this point ? she?s not even worth the effort to use as a punchline. And just you wait, now that Jennifer has used Lindsay?s name in an unkind way, Lindsay will totally sue her.
Also: I?m so glad I?m not a puker. I?ve been battling a bad cold the past few days and I coughed so much yesterday that I almost threw up, and I said a little thank you to the universe because I was able to hold it back. I can’t even imagine puking on the reg.

Clad in a festive red Alexander McQueen dress, the Duchess of Cambridge was all smiles as she chatted with staff and families at the facility, a leading institution for children with mental health issues.
During her visit, Catherine helped out with a Christmas Tree collage and took in a musical performance given by the kiddos, who showcased what they?ve learned over the course of the term.

You know what would make Leonardo DiCaprio?s Oscar campaign go down a little bit easier? If he showed us his sense of humor. He shows us glimpses of his humor, like when he?s doing a cameo on Jonah Hill?s episode of Saturday Night Live, or when he? I don?t know, hangs out with his bros? But mostly Leo keeps his image tight in the public sphere, and this year in particular, he?s seeming a little bit too earnest and pinched. He wants that Oscar so much! I don?t blame him for following the program, but I wish the people advising him would plan out some very special ?unrehearsed moments? for Leo to show his silly, lighter side.
Anyway, I was reminded of all of this because I just read Leo?s Wired interview. He doesn?t say anything controversial, he?s professional and he doesn?t complain. But show us some personality, damn it! In between discussions of the ?visual, existential poetry? of Alejandro Innaritu?s direction, Leo chats about the bear mauling, his support for Bernie Sanders and how he?s almost died several times. The difficult moments on The Revenant: ?Moments? Every single day of this movie was difficult. It was the most difficult film I?ve ever done. You?ll see, when you see the film?the endurance that we all had to have is very much up on the screen. The hardest thing for me was getting in and out of frozen rivers. Because I had elk skin on and a bear fur that weighed about 100 pounds when it got wet. And every day it was a challenge not to get hypothermia.?
Brushes with death: ?My friends have named me the person they least want to do extreme adventures with, because I always seem to be very close to being part of a disaster. If a cat has nine lives, I think I?ve used a few. I mean, there was the shark incident ?A great white jumped into my cage when I was diving in South Africa. Half its body was in the cage, and it was snapping at me??
The time a plane engine blew up: ?Then there was this Delta Airlines flight to Russia. I was in business class, and an engine blew up in front of my eyes. It was right after ?Sully? Sullenberger landed in the Hudson. I was sitting there looking out at the wing, and the entire wing exploded in a fireball. I was the only one looking out at the moment this giant turbine exploded like a comet. It was crazy. They shut all the engines off for a couple of minutes, so you?re just sitting there gliding with absolutely no sound, and nobody in the plane was saying anything. It was a surreal experience. They started the engines back up, and we did an emergency landing at JFK.
How he handles his fame: ?You know, the truth is, it?s very surreal. I don?t think anyone really gets used to being recognized around the world. It kind of feels like a videogame at times, especially with paparazzi and people following you and things of that nature. But it?s part of who I am now. It?s part of my life as long as I choose to do what I do as a profession, and I love what I do. I think I survive because I don?t limit myself. If there?s some experience I want to have or a place I want to go, I do it. I think that?s how I bring some semblance of normality to my life.?
Who we should be listening to about environmental issues: ?Look, not to get political, but listening to Bernie Sanders at that first presidential debate was pretty inspiring?to hear what he said about the environment. Who knows which candidate is going to become our next president, but we need to create a dialogue about it. I mean, when they asked each of the candidates what the most important issue facing our planet is, Bernie Sanders simply said climate change. To me that?s inspiring.

There?s also a story about how he was skydiving and the parachute was knotted up and he almost died. It sounds like Leo is something of a Calamity Jane, mostly when he?s on vacation, although after hearing all of the crap that went on during filming of The Revenant, maybe Leo is simply a real-life harbinger of doom/death/shenanigans. Still, the main point of this piece is that Leo is very many and he?s almost died many times and he suffers for his art and he?s not always going to be around, so why not give him the Oscar this time?

At last night?s Star Wars: The Force Awakens world premiere in LA, there was some cosplay and some theme-dressing on the red carpet. I have to think that?s what Jaime King was trying to do ? theme-dressing. To Jaime, this Monse dress looked sort of Star Wars-y and intergalactic. Is it though? Or is it just sort of fug? If you make her skin green, I could see her as a cigarette girl at the Cantina.

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello walked their first red carpet at a married couple for this premiere. I have to wonder? which one of them is into Star Wars? Sofia is a big deal to Disney/ABC, so maybe she was required to come out for a Disney property. Or maybe Joe is a secret Star Wars geek, like many men of his generation. In any case, they thankfully didn?t theme-dress.
Janelle Monae looks DIFFERENT, right? Something with her eyes, I believe. Maybe it?s just makeup and styling. Maybe she was trying to look sort of weird and unusual, but I could swear that she looks a bit tweaked too. Her Star Wars-themed dress is Erevos Aether. It?s okay.
Am I alone in sort of loving Karrueche Tran?s look here? I think she?s really pretty anyway, but I love her Star Wars-themed hair and I love the snazzy white suit. She looks great.

Everyone and their brother was at the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere in LA last night, so we’ll be breaking up the coverage into a few different posts. There were plenty of big names there who aren’t in the movie, but surely would have loved to have been. It looks like the red carpet and after party were incredible and people are raving about the film. It’s said to do justice to the series and to highly entertaining. I can’t wait to see it and to see how much money it makes, I’m kind of excited about that. We have tickets to see it in 3D on Saturday!
Elizabeth Banks was in a really striking off the shoulder Elie Saab full length gown featuring an embroidered blue, red and black pattern which looks vaguely like poinsettias. The only thing that could make this dress better is if it was full-on holiday colors with red and green along with black. I really like how it has the illusion of being see-through mesh netting but isn’t quite. There’s something amazing about this dress, and I can only imagine the hours of craftsmanship that must have gone into it.
Harrison Ford and his wife of five years, Calista Flockhart, looked very matchy and cute in all black. I like her long sleeve tea length black gown. It has mirrored pieces along the neckline and looks very dressy and understated.
Carrie Fisher and her real life daughter, Billie Lourd, also in the movie, posed together on the red carpet and they looked like they’re having a great time. Carrie pretty much brings the party wherever she goes. She swore a lot on the red carpet and you can hear it in the livestream. Bille is in Reem Acra. Not a cute dress but her mom is distracting us from that.

Getting back to people not in the film, Sarah Hyland and her boyfriend of about a year, her co-star in Vampire Academy, Dominic Sherwood, were loved up. Get a room kids! She’s in a metallic Kaufman Franco dress which looks perfect for the holidays.
Here’s Zendaya working the hell out of a silver turtleneck minidress paired with a see through plastic skirt with mirror sequins. I love this outfit, it’s incredible. Zendaya does her own makeup too! She needs to make YouTube tutorials.
Gina Rodriguez was in Halston. This dress isn’t that great but it’s making me want a black and white cookie.
I’m putting in Geena Davis because I love her and she’s incredible. She’s with her plastic surgeon husband, Reza Jarrahy. I like her white quilted dress with the furry cap sleeves. Everyone is so festive at this premiere it’s making me want to go shopping. (It doesn’t take much.)

Jenna Fischer, best known for Pam Beesly-Halpert from the TV show The Office, is featured in the January Issue of Good Housekeeping. If you are featured in an issue of Good Housekeeping, do you automatically get the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval? If so, I would totally put that on my CV. I enjoy Jenna; she?s consistently funny in her roles and according to her Instagram, she really gets a kick out of life. She leads an ordinary existence by Hollywood standards so she isn?t really a headline grabber. Jenna is returning to television on Sky 1 in the dark comedy series You, Me and the Apocalypse, which is about a meteor hurling towards earth and all these disparate souls who end up in a bunker together, watching the end of the world on TV; the story is how they all got there.
As for the photo shoot – boots, coats/jacket and hat pr0n, oh yes. I love the blue hat Jenna claims to have stolen; I would?ve stolen it too. Most of the outfits are a collection of smart basics assembled handsomely and then BAM! Smokin? boots to finish them off. By the way, the fur vest is faux, I already checked so you can like it if you want to.
On her new show You, Me and the Apocalypse: ?I play a librarian who has been imprisoned wrongly. I?ve taken the fall for my son who?s a computer hacker. When we find out that the end of the world is coming, there?s a huge prison riot and I break out of prison with Megan Mullally, who is a career criminal. We travel across the United States Thelma and Louise-style trying to get home to our families before the world ends.?
On the best part of life as a mom: ?The best part about being a mother is having a human National Geographic nature documentary happening in your house at all times. I just love observing the growth and development of human beings through the different stages.?
On the best advice she got from her parents?to go to college before pursuing acting: ?They sat me down and they said, ?You can absolutely go to Los Angeles, but we want you to go to college, and it?s not just to get the degree, but because we believe there is a lot of personal development that happens in those years, and it?s best to do that outside of Hollywood and outside of the spotlight,? and they couldn?t have been more right.?

I love that quote about her home being National Geographic. I get that she means it is fascinating to watch her kids evolve but I picture my home with the Progeny lying on the countertops, licking their lips, just waiting for The Mister or myself to start limping.
Jenna did, in fact, go to college and holds a degree in theatrical arts and a minor in journalism. I want to come down strong in favor of her parents? advice but I am aware of how incredibly difficult attending college can be in this country and I don?t want to be insensitive to those who cannot. I think any college experience is useful, whether it is community college, trade school or public/private universities. Of course, if you have no desire to go, definitely save your money.
Jenna has a moment in the article when she fangirls over Megan Mullally even after working with her for six months. I have worked with Megan, albeit in a limited capacity, and she really is absolutely lovely.
I, too, am having a bit of a fangirl moment over the castYou, Me and the Apocalypse.Besides Jenna and Megan, Rob Lowe, Mathew Baynton, Nick Offerman, Pauline Quirke, Joel Fry ? DAME DIANA RIGG! If I have to watch the end of the world on TV in a bunker, I want it to be next to Emma Peel.

Here are some photos of Emily Ratajkowski at Thursday night?s Diamond Ball in Santa Monica. For the life of me, I cannot find the ID on her dress, which I actually love. It?s incredibly flattering on her, and she looks really great in these pics. I?m actually turning into something of an Emily Ratajkowski Apologist ? she?s not my favorite person in the world, but I do like her and I think she?s more interesting than the typical model/starlet. Case in point: she?s co-designed a series of little dresses, and 25% of the proceeds benefit Planned Parenthood. She also gave an interview to W Magazine about her long-standing support of giving women access to affordable health care, birth control and reproductive choice. Why she works with Planned Parenthood: ?I?ve done PSAs and different things with Planned Parenthood before. They?re the main charity that I work with. I got involved before the recent Senate vote and the shooting in Colorado. It?s really insane that they?re under attack, basically, at the same time that we launched this dress. It was a coincidence. I chose Planned Parenthood and continue to work with them because I think they?re one of the most hands-on women?s health organizations in the country. I think women?s healthcare is a fundamental right that every woman in this country, and hopefully the world, eventually, should have access to.?
Why Planned Parenthood is important: ?It?s really hard for young women coming into their sexuality to even talk to their parents, even if their parents are the closest people to them, or their family doctor whom they?ve known for a very long time. It?s really important for young girls and women of every age to have a safe place where they can go and get healthcare no matter what their insurance is, or what their background is.?
The responsibility she feels: ?I mean, just being a woman, but also being a public figure. The first time I ever worked with Planned Parenthood, I was shocked at the reactions I got. Obviously, I had people who were really upset with me, but also I had a lot of people who were like, ?Wow that?s so brave of you,? which I think is so bizarre and says a lot about the state of the world right now?that people consider that to be such a ?brave? thing. I think it should just be a basic thing that every female celebrity and male celebrity supports. I?m hoping that this breaks down the taboo of Planned Parenthood, somewhat.?
Does she consider herself a feminist? ?Yes!?

As we discussed yesterday, the NYDN had a sad/interesting story about Diane Kruger maybe-cheating on Joshua Jackson with? Norman Reedus! Some witnesses at a NYC dive bar claimed that they saw Norman and Diane looking incredibly friendly a few nights ago, openly making out with Diane sitting in Norman?s lap. While Reedus?s rep flat-out denied the story, Kruger?s people have made some strange acknowledgments.
First off, Gossip Cop spoke to a ?a source close to Kruger? who said the story is ?completely fabricated.? Except that the source acknowledges that Kruger and Reedus were TOTALLY IN THE BAR TOGETHER. GC?s source says that they were joined by a third person, director Fabienne Berthaud. Berthaud directed Reedus, Kruger and Joshua Jackson in the film Sky. GC?s source also maintained that Kruger and Jackson are ?100,000,000 percent? still together. But Joshua Jackson is out of town. He?s halfway around the world, actually.
So, even sources close to Kruger are telling media outlets that she actually was in the dive bar with Norman Reedus but that she wasn?t straddling him and making out with him. A source also went to Entertainment Tonight to say the same thing, that Diane and Norman were hanging out but ?they are not dating or hooking up.” Then ET dropped this into their story:
This isn’t the first time Kruger and Reedus have been spotted getting up close and personal. Another source tells ET that Kruger was sitting on Reedus’ lap at the premiere after party for Sky in September at the Toronto International Film Festival. “They were close all night and talking about relationship stuff,” the source says. “She was talking about how he wasn’t ready to settle down?They seemed like they were more than just friends.?

Whoa now. So, there?s legit reporting of previous friendly encounters? Yeah, something is up. I?m not saying that Diane and Joshua are completely done or anything, but I?m saying that Diane and Norman Reedus are more than likely hittin? it.
Oh, and Radar had more details about their alleged makeout session at the NYC bar, including their drink order (they both drank whiskey). One witness described the hook up as a ?high school make out session? that started just ten minutes after they entered the bar. MESS.
