For those of you who weren?t quick enough to catch a sneak peek of the third season of ?House of Cards? when it was accidentally released earlier this month, the wait is over! The newest installment of the Netflix original series is officially here.
To celebrate the new season, Robin Wright and her on-screen husband Robin Wright attended the premiere at the Empire Cinema in London?s Leicester Square. The actress, who plays Mrs. Clair Underwood, attended the red-carpet event in a white tailored suit. Kevin, who plays Frank Underwood, matched his co-star perfectly in a sharp charcoal ensemble.
Also in attendance was ?House of Cards? fan Ricky Gervais. The British comedian recently appeared in a spoof of the show, in which he impersonates Kevin?s character for a Netflix advert called, ?Superfan.?

This is a sad day for humanity! The iconic actor who portrayed the half-human, half-Vulcan Spock has left planet Earth. Leonard Nimoy passed away earlier today at his home in Bel Air. His wife, Susan, revealed the cause of death as end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Last year, Nimoy revealed his new diagnosis to CNN and spoke about much COPD slowed down his pace at life. He was diagnosed with the disease 30 years after he stopped smoking. Here are the somber details:
Leonard Nimoy, who famously played Mr. Spock, died at home Friday morning in Bel-Air… after battling chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The “Star Trek” star announced last year that he was battling the disease and attributed it to years and years of smoking. He had given up the habit 30 years ago.
TMZ broke the story … Nimoy checked into UCLA Medical Center last week for intense chest pains — but was eventually released.
Nimoy started playing Mr. Spock when the TV show debuted in 1966 … and is the only actor to appear in every episode of that original series. He continued in the Spock role through most of the movies — including the most recent reboot in 2013.
Aside from acting … he wrote books of poetry, 2 autobiographies … and even recorded albums.
Nimoy tweeted for the last time on Feb. 22, saying … “A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP”
He was 83.

This is such a loss. Nimoy was best known as Spock from the original Star Trek, and for good reason. Spock wasn’t simply a throwaway character from a sci-fi franchise. Nimoy portrayed him with a measured performance, which reflected Spock’s intellectual and compassionate qualities (and occasional glimpses of the emotion within). But Nimoy wasn’t simply an actor. He was a loving husband, parent, and grandfather. He also dabbled and poetry and photography. Nimoy published a book of photos that focused on the female form. His work is also available at R.Michelson galleries (although their website has crashed).

Lindsay Lohan was out and about in London again last night, making her second public appearance of the week. She crashed the ELLE Style Awards earlier this week, looking pretty cracked-out. I kind of doubt she was even invited. Last night, Lindsay attended the private Madonna performance at Annabel?s, which was a pretty star-studded crowd. Annabel?s is a private club, so I wonder how the Cracken even got in.
I was actually waiting until we got some new, cracked-out photos of Lindsay because she had a bad week in more ways than one. When we last checked in on her ongoing crack shenanigans, the LA City Attorney was investigating Lindsay?s claims that she had completed two weeks of community service in three days, all while deathly ill. As it turns out, Lindsay totally fudged her numbers. Community service, in Lindsay?s mind, constitutes ?signing autographs for fans? and ?acting in a play? and ?getting hammered at nightclubs.? Well, Lindsay?s lawyer and the City Attorney finally met with the judge this week, and the judge agreed with the City Attorney:
Lindsay Lohan and her community service organization just got slammed by a judge Wednesday morning … a judge who threw out more than half of her hours. The judge in Lindsay’s probation case ordered LiLo to do another 125 hours … this after the prosecutor called BS on the service she performed.
Most of the hearing was conducted privately in the judge’s chambers, but hizzoner did call the work Lindsay did “unacceptable.” TMZ broke the story … prosecutor Terry White was indignant over the work Lindsay did for CSV in London, saying in one case she got credit for six hours of community service work … even though four hours of those hours were for acting on stage and the remaining two were for meeting fans.
Lindsay’s never-ending probation stems from her 2012 reckless driving case when she slammed into an 18-wheeler.

Lindsay will have three months to complete the additional (or original, depending on how you see it) 125 hours. What?s interesting is that no one has a problem with Lindsay living in London and doing her community service in England. I guess no one wants to rock the boat, and LA County is happy that the Cracken isn?t loose on their streets. Anyway, I fully expect Lindsay to continue to be a cracked-out mess in London for the next two and a half months, and then she?ll suddenly remember she has to complete all of these hours and she?ll lie about it? again. Going to a Madonna performance is totally community service, you guys.

Six years ago, Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady got married in a small, intimate ceremony in Santa Monica. It has become my official policy ? based on the overwhelming interest that everyone seems to have in wedding gowns ? to publish wedding photos whenever possible. Back in 2009, there were only a few blurry, long-distance photos of Gisele?s Dolce & Gabbana wedding gown. Tom and Gisele did not release any official wedding portrait, nor did they sell their wedding photos to a weekly tabloid or a fashion magazine (although I bet Vogue would have loved to publish those photos).
Starting last year, Gisele began to give us a glimpse of her wedding though. She posted one lovely black & white image (I?m including it below) on her fifth anniversary. And then for this year?s anniversary, she posted another wedding photo. This time, we?re getting a much better look at her dress? and the cake. The cake looks insane, right? How HUGE are those bride & groom figures? And is the cake icing yellow buttercream?
As for the dress? as I said, it?s D&G (according to Celebrity Bride Guide). I don?t know you guys? this looks very shiny and sparkly for a wedding gown. Did she wear a full-on sequined skirt? I mean, obviously, she?s Gisele and she can wear anything. But with all of the access she has (and had then), it just seems like she chose the first light-colored dress she saw. I?m not even sure this is a real wedding gown.

Here are some photos of Madonna out and about in London last night. She had dinner with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian and then they all went to Annabel?s for a party and I guess Madonna gave a private performance. Check out her shoes!!! I know we?re supposed to think that Madonna is bringing back the big-soled shoes that were popular in the 1990s, but those look totally orthopedic to me. Like, she needs a wide, sturdy shoe so she won?t bust her ass again, like she did at the BRIT Awards. Speaking of, Madonna appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show (in an episode to be aired next month) and she talked about her fall at the BRITs.
“I didn’t hurt my butt, I hurt my head,” the Material Girl, 56, said Thursday during a taping of ITV’s The Jonathan Ross Show in Britain, for an episode that will air next month. “I know how to fall. I’ve fallen off my horse many times, and I tucked, and I have good core strength ? but the thing is, I had a little bit of a whiplash, and I smacked the back of my head. So, there was a man standing over me with a flashlight until about 3 a.m. making sure that I was still compos mentis.”
She said the incident was bruising for another reason, too.
“It was a horrible nightmare, because I like to be amazing,” she said. “Seriously, I rehearse and I rehearse and I rehearse, so that when I do the show it’s effortless and I create magic, and I did the opposite. I actually created a horror show for everyone.”
Some people actually thought it was a stunt, based off the “Living for Love” lyrics, which include lines like, “Took me to heaven and let me fall down ? Lifted me up, and watched me stumble.”
“I’m never writing lyrics like that again! The universe was trying to teach me a lesson, I guess,” Madonna joked.
She also described the incident itself in further detail, saying she was thrown off from the very beginning of the number.
“I’m a creature of habit, and I rehearse everything ? everything, everything, everything ? and I was thrown a wrench at the very beginning of my entrance,” she said. “I was told to tie my cape and start much further back than we had rehearsed.”
She added: “Everybody was worried that my cape was going to slide off because it’s quite heavy, so they tied it really tight around my neck ? So here I am marching in like a queen, and I got to the top of the stairs and I pulled my silky string, and it would not come undone. And my two lovely Japanese dancers basically strangled me off the stage. I had a choice: I could either be strangled or fall with the cape, and I fell.”

I believe her. I think that?s what happened ? she had rehearsed it differently and the cape was tied too tightly. The question I have is: who choreographed this mess? Madonna?s performances at the Grammys and the BRIT Awards have been very, very careful. Even before the fall, she?s been moving like she?s afraid she?s going to hurt herself. Who has been choreographing these complicated routines for her and why does she agree to it?
Incidentally, Madonna talked about ageism in her Rolling Stone interview this week, saying:
?It?s still the one area where you can totally discriminate against somebody, and talk s**t. Because of their age. Only females, though. Not males. No one would dare to say a degrading remark about being black or dare to say a degrading remark on Instagram about someone being gay. But my age ? anybody and everybody would say something degrading to me. And I always think to myself, why is that accepted? What?s the difference between that and racism, or any discrimination? They?re judging me by my age. I don?t understand. I?m trying to get my head around it. Because women, generally, when they reach a certain age, have accepted that they?re not allowed to behave a certain way. But I don?t follow the rules. I never did, and I?m not going to start.?

Yeah? I mean, I see where she?s going and I sort of agree. But I also think that it?s ageist to expect a 56 year old woman to compete at the same level with the 20-something pop stars of the moment. Is Madonna perfectly capable of being a badass in her 50s? For sure. But seeing her so desperate to appear younger, like one of the kidz, makes me uncomfortable and sorry for her.

How long have Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes been together? It?s going on six years, isn?t it? Looking it up? yes, we?re at the six-year anniversary of the beginning of their affair. They famously began their affair while filming a Lifetime movie, and paparazzi got photos and video of them making out (Us Weekly published the pics in March 2009). I?ve always believed that Eddie continued to sleep with LeAnn after they were discovered and while he was allegedly working on his marriage to Brandi, although I think that was mostly due to the fact that LeAnn was pretty much stalking him and trying to get him to pay attention to her. Anyway, why bring this up? They?re close enough to their ?seven year itch.? At least according to Star Magazine?s sources. The sources claim that Eddie just isn?t interested in spending any alone time with LeAnn anymore. Huh.

David O. Russell has a reputation for being a real piece of work. His history of mistreating actors and crew is disturbing. One only needs to watch this video (NSFW language) of him cursing out Lily Tomlin to see evidence of his unprofessaional ways. The video shows him throwing objects as a crew member cowered in the corner! That’s not the only incident. A RadioTimes article talks about how Russell and George Clooney clashed during the production of Three Kings. Clooney reportedly told Russell, “You can?t shove, push or humiliate people.” And Russell once put Christopher Nolan in a headlock (over Jude Law’s availability) and tore off his clothes on set. He claimed to be getting his kit off in the name of Tibetan Buddhism and to “break the boundaries” with cast members.
Russell appeared to have mellowed during his last few productions. He’s still territorial with his actors and threw a fit over Jennifer Lawrence’s availability, calling her Hunger Games schedule “12 years of slavery.” JLaw previously worked with him on Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. They’re currently filming the Miracle Mop biopic in Boston, and David lost it again. He threw Harvey Weinstein off the set and started a screaming match with JLaw:
Famed director David O. Russell went on a tear against Jennifer Lawrence and Harvey Weinstein during the filming of the movie Joy … this according to an eyewitness on the set.
We’re told there was a loud argument Tuesday on the Boston set between David and Jennifer, and it started over a scene. The eyewitness says David started screaming at her … it was was ear-piercing and laced with profanities.
A rep for the movie’s studio — Fox 2000 — tells us yes, there was screaming, but it was all method acting. David was just getting J. Law amped-up for a scene in which she screams at someone.
But it doesn’t end there. We’re also told Miramax honcho Harvey Weinstein showed up on the set Wednesday to say hi to Jennifer, but David ordered him to leave. Harvey got as far as the makeup trailer before getting booted.
The studio rep says Harvey was told Tuesday things were moving at warp speed and his visit would be a distraction, but he showed up anyway … unannounced.
And the eyewitness tells us a major exec for Fox was reamed out by David because she was trying to defend the line producer who David wants to fire. The eyewitness says it got so bad the exec started crying. The studio rep says that’s ridiculous … there was a “heated” argument over the line producer, but she didn’t cry.

The studio rep is covering tush with the denial, and of course Russell tossed out a lame excuse. Method acting must be the new Tibetan Buddism. Russell hasn’t changed at all, and I believe this story because the video with Lily Tomlin was completely frightening. This guy is unhinged, and he’s gotten away with it because he directs artsy fartsy movies that the Academy loves. Someone needs to kick him off set and into anger management therapy.
I’m including several ads for JLaw’s latest Miss Dior campaign. These look a lot less awkward than her first plasticky campaign.

Do you remember when Willow and Jaden Smith gave that bizarre interview to The NY Times last fall? Willow said that time didn’t exist, Jaden said that he could control time, and he also claimed that school was useless. He said he only went to school for a year because “you never learn anything in school,” particularly driver’s ed, “because if everybody I know has been in an accident, I can?t see how driver?s ed is really helping them out.” It was bizarre, specious reasoning, but that pretty much characterizes the Smith kids, who were raised with Scientology teaching methods. (Although I doubt that they’re even being taught anything at this point, given that Will and Jada believe in letting them do whatever they want.)
During the Sony hack, we saw an email that executive Tom Rothman (head of TriStar) sent to Amy Pascal in which he pointed to the interview and mentioned that the kids were home schooled. He wrote “1. Read this 2. they r home schooled: don?t let this family date your movies!!!“” It was probably a quick message written on a phone and it was true, the Smith kids are home schooled, if they even are schooled at this point. Plus that was well after Will and Jaden’s horrible bomb of a Scientology propaganda film, After Earth, had come out in early 2013. That was an expensive mistake for Sony. (After Earth was distributed by Columbia Pictures, a division of Sony.)
On the red carpet for his new heist film, Focus, Will laughed off a mention of that email and said it was meant to be private anyway. Plus he said he has worked with Rothman in the past and implied that that’s not going to change.
?Everybody disses my kids,? Smith said Tuesday with an outsized chuckle. ?To me, that?s just part of the business. And somebody?s email is private, you know? So I would never hold anybody responsible for something they said in a private email. I shouldn?t even know about it…?
?I worked with Tom [when he was head of Fox Filmed Entertainment.] ,? the star said outside Hollywood?s TCL Chinese Theatre. ?We did ?Independence Day? together. We did ?I, Robot.? I?ve worked with Tom a lot.?

Say what you will about Will Smith, he’s a professional and he knows how to handle his business. Maybe he should question why everyone is “dissing” his kids, though. It’s not just because they’re in the business, it’s because they say ridiculous things that make no sense.
Also while on the red carpet, Will said that he has problems balancing work and down time with Jada. US Magazine frames this like Will said this was the cause of all his issues with Jada. (Remember late 2011 and early 2012 when there were so many split rumors? Jada may have said that they have an open marriage, but she tried to clarify that later.) The fact is that Will was asked how he balances work and personal time and he said it was a struggle, he didn’t call it the cause of all his relationship issues at all. Here’s a segment of US’s article on that:
The actor, 46, was asked how he divvies up his time between work and his own personal life. “Now that’s really interesting. Jada and I have struggled with that a little bit.. The problem is one person is in work mode while the other person is in chill mode. Then it’s like you’re both trying to come up.”
“It is really something that will happen in time. And you’ll realize that you’re either really committed to having a relationship, or you’re really committed to coming up. At some point one or the other is going to have to suffer.”

Whatever is going on with Will and Jada, they seem to be doing better now, at least that’s what all the PDA at the premiere would suggest. Oh and it’s strange that Will didn’t mention his kids when he was asked about his personal life. Maybe the question was framed as just about his relationship, though. Plus it’s a throwaway question on a red carpet, I shouldn’t read too much into it.

They were pretty busy on their last night in London ? they went out to eat, they stopped by a studio, and they met up with friends. As for Kim?s Pink leather/vinyl ensemble? eh. I actually don?t think she looks terrible. The dress is too tight, obviously, and she looks like a tightly rolled-up piece of ham. But, IMO, it?s not flat-out awful. Even the butt shots were somewhat flattering. Meanwhile, there are about a million pieces of Kardashian-West news, so let?s do a list!
*You know how the Kardashian family scored a $100 million deal with E! for four more years of reality shows and red carpet hosting? Well, according to Page Six, Kris Jenner got so much money for her family by threatening to walk. An insider says: ?This has been in the works for almost a year. Kris is a fierce negotiator .?.?. She was playing major hardball and threatening to leave.? And E! decided that they needed the Kardashians.
*Liam Gallagher tweeted his disapproval of Kanye?s BRIT Awards performance, writing: ?Kanye West. Utter S–t. LG x?@kanyewest …And you’re a million miles away from College Dropout. That’s artistry. LG x”. Liam had previously been complimentary towards Kanye?s work, praising Yeezus to the hilt.
